ECess and SEcess should be calculated for BED

Hi Masters
We have created purchase order for a material with the following Tax conditions
For Example
Base value          :Rs.1000
BED @ 8 %        :Rs.80
SED @ 4%         :Rs.40
ECess @ 2%      :Rs.1.60
SCess @ 1%      : Rs 0.80
When I do J1IEX for the GR document for the above purchase order, the following scenario occurs
For Example
Base value          :Rs.1000
BED @ 8 %        :Rs.80
SED @ 4%         :Rs.40
ECess @ 2%      :Rs.2.40
SCess @ 1%      : Rs 1.20
The Educational Cess and Secondary Educational Cess are calculated for the sum of BED and SED.But our user needs the calculation only for the BED
I have checked in Tax calculation procedure which is reflected in the purchase order. It shows the calculation of ECess and SCess only for the BED
How to resolve this?

    hi
when u do a single transaction for the combinaion of vendor and material, velues will auto update in next po (info rec)
now as velues for all material and vendor combination is not same, giveing fixed value  will make no sense
so just ask ur client to create pos for diff mat and ven
as he goes on system will auto update prices
MEK1 will only be applicable for the conditions with ACESS seq ,so for the import condition it is of no use

  • Ecess and SEcess Condition not getting

    Hi all,
Condition type for Ecess and Secondory Ecess not viewed at development server,i.e. Ecess cond: Jecs, Jec1, Jec2, Jec3.., SEcess:Jhx1, Jhx2...are Standard condition or We have to manualy create this condition.
If this is a standard condition then how we can get this condition,is there any specific patch we have to upload? Which is?
    Kindly provide the solution ASAP.
    Thanks & regards
    Sanjay L

Hi follow the steps mentioned below to configure the same.
    PROCEDURE: Initial Steps
Create two new Tax conditions: JA1S, JA1I. Steps for creation of Tax Condition is illustrated below
    1.     JA1S must be a copy of JEC1
    2.     JA1I, a copy of JEC2
    3.     The text for JA1S - A/P SECess for Setoff
    4.     The text for JA1I - A/P SECess for Inven
    5.     Create a new tax posting key VS1.  The path for this is:
SPRO  Financial Accounting  Financial Accounting Global Settings  Tax on Sales/Purchases  Basic Settings  Check and Change Settings for Tax Processing
    6.     Assign a new G/L account to the tax posting key VS1. in the following path:
SPRO  Financial Accounting  Financial Accounting Global Settings  Tax on Sales/Purchases  Posting  Define Tax Accounts
    7.     Assign the posting key VS1 to the tax condition JA1S in the tax procedure as given in the screen shot below.
    8.     Assign tax posting key NVV (already existing) to the tax condition JA1I.
The tax procedure should look as follows (with these two new tax conditions):
    PROCEDURE: Additional Steps
u2022     The new step is for the condition JA1S and this is computed with the value in step 222(Sub total of all excise duties excluding ECess ) as the base.
u2022     Another new step is for the condition JA1I and this is computed with the value in step 223(Sub total of all inventorized excise duties excluding ECess ) as the base.
    GENERAL PRECAUTION
    1.     Please note that these steps need not be the same in your tax procedure.
    2.     This is merely an illustration of the logic to be applied.
    3.     These changes will enable computation of taxes in the PO/SA, and in posting the Goods receipt with the inventory considering Secondary and Higher Education Cess too.
    4.     These changes are for Domestic Purchase Orders ONLY.
With these changes in place, run transaction FTXP. Choose the relevant tax code. Enter 1% as value against the tax conditions JA1S or JA1I in the tax code. Illustrated next page is a sample tax code for easy understanding:
    Account Determination:
Menu Path: SPRO Logistics u2013 General Tax on Goods Movements India Account Determination Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction
Add new Entry with GRPO transaction type and DC Indicator as Debit and Account name as RG23AT1 and PLAAT1.
Repeat the same for all MM excise transactions.
Menu Path: SPRO Logistics u2013 General Tax on Goods Movements India Account Determination Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction
Assign the RG23AAT1, RG23CAT1 and PLAAT1 GL account for the Excise Group and Transaction type GRPO and others.

  • FAQ: What computer and components should I buy for Premiere Pro or After Effects?

See this page for the official minimum system requirements for Premiere Pro.
See this page for the official minimum system requirements for After Effects.
Note that the minimum system requirements are just that: a minimum to run the software. You will need components that exceed the minimum system requirements to achieve satisfactory performance in many cases.

    As David and Hal said
One thing to consider is that you may also want SATA capability (which you can do with G5 towers easily, the dual cores have cards available or will shortly) and also shortly (fingers cross) for the MacBooks (there are cards for PowerBooks.)
The only possible fly in the ointment is if you are going to hold onto these computers for awhile, with the Intel Chips the non-Intels will eventually have less support and software. Though for the short term (particularly if you are relying on non-Intel native apps and need peak performance) the Quad G5s are great.

  • 1,1 running Lion with XP Boot (re-install and what should i use for recovery disk or usb stick)?

i am trying to give my 1,1 mac pro a little love and would like to keep this machine running lion. i also have a boot camp installation of XP on it.
    1. can anyone give me instructions on how/whether i can basically do a fresh install of Lion on this machine and minimize the system so it is not cluttered up with all my previous software etc, etc while still maintaining the original XP boot camp partition which i really need to have?
    2. can anyone clarify for me what i should have on hand /if/ i need to boot into recovery mode or some other safe boot mode? i recently ran into an issue where i may have had to use the old Disk Utility format function and there was a reference to booting using the DVD install disks. however i am really confused as to what i should have on hand. ALSO the last time i had to do something on this machine i was told to boot into the Recovery Partition and it appears for some reason (perhaps because i had a "non-standard" windows 7 boot camp installation on the drive at the time??) that there was no recovery partition created when i upgraded to Lion.
    - /anyway/ i am finding that i have the two ORIGINAL install disks for the mac pro on hand, a Max OS X Leopard and a mac OS X Snow Leopard DVD on hand but i am thinking that i should be creating some kind of USB stick similar to the one i created with yosemite? actually, i am not even sure what this USB stick for yosemite is for but i guess i can use it to boot into safe mode or something?
THANKS for any help as i'd like to get this business under control a little better in case i have an issue.
i'd also like to install Lion so that there is a Recovery Partition if possible and i think this may be possible if i don't have the windows 7 partition in the machine when i do a fresh install. any help would be great. thanks.

You have to go out of your way to build the Installer Disk yourself. But this tool makes it easy, and this site contains instructions:
    http://diskmakerx.com
the bootable installer is basically to re-install the OS if i have to
    Yes.
the recovery partition is somehow for fixing a problem
Recovery can go and get you the software and re-download it and start the Install, and allows the use of Disk Utility and can reset passwords.
    or is there some overlap?
Yes. Both give you access to the Utilities that used to be on the Installer DVD. Disk Utility to Repair or initialize and a few other tools that can allow you to set up to install on an otherwise-bare disk or change your password.
is "Safe Mode" something completely different
Safe Mode is a way to start the fully-Installed Operating System in a special way. It first does one pass of Disk Utility (Repair Disk) against the Boot Drive. [Normally this would require booting from a different drive to make repairs.] Then it loads a minimal set of Apple-only kernel extensions, and uses a one-size-fits-all screen resolution. Then it demands your Username and password to proceed.
From there you can fix settings, use the Finder to add or delete things, and check operation with minimal extensions versus all your daily-use extensions. Very helpful for debugging extension conflicts and graphics settings problems, and fixing damaged settings. The next Restart builds a new extensions cache.

  • What file type and codec should I use for creating a file to send to have an HDCAM copy made

I'm prepping to take a video file of my film into a tape dubbing house to have an HDCAM copy of my project made. I'm using a PC, so Apple ProRes is not an option. What file type, codec, and settings do you recommend?
I was considering MXF, but the highest quality codec is XDCAM 50, which only does up to 50Mbps (I think). I believe HDCAM works at 140Mbps, so I would rather not give them a file that's compressed to almost 1/3rd that, especially since the source is a 5K 5120x2560 project. DPX maybe? I've never exported DPX before because it's not an option on my copy of CS6 - maybe that has to be downloaded separately? I was considering a Quicktim in H.264 at 140Mbps, but I think that would mean some serious rendering for the tape house. I would like to be able to offer them a few different options and see what they prefer, but this is an area where my knowledge runs thin. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm hoping there's an industry standard that I can stick to.

DPX maybe? I've never exported DPX before because it's not an option on my copy of CS6 - maybe that has to be downloaded separately?
Your CS6 'Format' dropdown list should include DPX:
Among the options you listed, DPX would be my choice.
Be certain the dupe house can accept these files before proceeding.

  • What font and sizings should I use for pocket magazine?

    Hi
I am nearly finished with a 165 x 120mm puzzle magazine but need to play with the font family and sizing so that its best for printing as crisply as possible.
Currently I'm using Helvetica Neue LT Std - 65 Medium, font size 11px (14px), I am thinking about changing to Arial Regular, 9px (11px), but what would be a standand font and size for good printing practice for A5 and smaller booklet/magazines?
Any advice here would be great thanks.
    Ash

Sounds like you set up for an interactive document rahter than for print in the initial setup. No major harm done. Right-click the squer inthe upper left corner betweenthe rulers and reset the units to inches and see if the type reverts to points, if not, you may be able to change it in the prefs, and failing all there is a 1:1 relationship between px and pt in InDesign.
None of the above has anythign to do with your question about suitability. There's no good reason I can think of to choose Arial over the Helvetica Neue in any size. And I don't think there are any "standards" for how small the type should be. Are you expecting your readers to be older and have difficulty with small type? Will everything that needs to be on the pages fit at 11 pt? I would advise using the larger type, if possible, to help the vision impaired, but I also suggest you print a few pages and look at them in both sizes. Are they readable, or does one look like a sea of gray?

  • What Mac and Features should I buy for filmmaking?

I'm going to be attending filmschool in the fall and I will be buying my first Mac(for use with final cut pro) What should I get with what features? Right now it seems like the Mac Pro is the only way to go. I want something profesional that I'll be able to use professionally after I graduate. I'll be making a bunch of shorts and a feature over the next 3 years with it. What processor speed, memory, hard drive(s), Graphics Card, Display, and other features should I order when customizing it? What should I buy seperately? (the monitor for example?) I don't want to spend more money than I have to, but I also don't want to sacrifice what I need for a cheaper price. Any suggestions? I'm looking for detailed recomendations of what setup I should get. Also does anyone know what I can use from my pc with it? Are my internal hard drives compatible with it? Oh, and I want to be able to run windows on it too, so I can run software that isn't mac compatible. Thanks for your help.

    Greetings,
I'll be attending the MFA program in filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in LA. <</div>
    Way to go... good luck
Ive heard that if I buy the monitors seperately that I should find two with 1920x1200 resolution, contrast ratio of at least 1000/1, and responce time of under 5 ms. <</div>
I really can not agree with that. I think it's a bit of an overkill. I run 20" Cinema at 1680x1050 and 17" Studio at 1280x1024 and it works perfectly. I can not imagine that video work would require anything more. I remember people editing in FCP on iMac and 15"CRT without any problems...
Also, is it a good idea to get two internals from apple and then an external for transfers, or should I just get the 250 gig and an external? How much space total will be a good place to start for school? <</div>
Given the HD prices nowadays, you can always add more drives. External for transfer is a good idea. At least 160G. Internals you could easily add another 500G later. As you know, MacPro has for slots internaly. You can easily save some for later 250G to start and an external at least 160G, and than later you can add and RAID two more 500Gs as a scratch... the possibilities are endless...
And how different from working with a pc is installing memory and other hardware on a mac? Pretty much the same? <</div>
Extremely easy. You can add memory and drives within minutes. Just make sure you follow the directions (memory directions are even printed inside of the front panel) and discharge any electrical static from your body (a simple static discharge wristband is highly recommendable). When installing memory make sure to follow the recommended configurations for different sizes.
Oh, and I might be a newb for asking this but whats a RAID, and what do I need to set it up? < </div>
RAID = Redundant Array of Independent (Inexpensive) Drives/Disks
Basically, it is combining multiple drives into a single unit, either in hardware or in software for the sake of gaining in speed and transfer OR data protection.
Search the forum for RAID, and you will find many useful information.
    Best wishes,
    H.

    Hi,
Generally the components of service tax (ST) is 10 %, ED CESS 2 % of ST  & HED 1 % Of ST. Total  service taken as  is 10.3 % and may be one condition type created for service tax and added in tax procedure. The tax code created and maintained the 10.3 % for the condition type of service tax in FTXP & FV11. Check in your system( as per business requirement tax procedure configured) whether one condition type created for service tax or three components of service tax condition type created and added in tax procedure.
