Eclipse path variables

hi,
in eclipse i have created path variables ( ${as3Library} ) i
use with FDT. After installing the flex builder 3.0.2 eclipse
plugin, i tried to add it to my project. but now flex doesn't
recognize the path to the folder...
is there a way to make flex handle the path variables?
in the .project file, there is this line:
<locationURI>as%2533Library</locationURI>
but it should be:
<locationURI>as3Library</locationURI>
how can i change this?
thanks a lot!

  • Problem in using 'Path Variable' in Linked resources in Eclipse

    Hi All
    Currently we are working on a J2EE project on which we have established the split-development environment. In this environment we have few UI web sub-projects. These projects are bundled as a one UI project at the time of deploying the application.
    For Example UI proj Structure is as below
    ../UI-Proj-Main/WebContent/sub
                        /jsp1
                        /jsp2
    ../UI-Proj-Sub1/WebContent/sub
                        /jsp1_sub1
                        /jsp2_sub1
    ../UI-Proj-Sub2/WebContent/sub
                        /jsp1_sub2
                        /jsp2_Sub2
    In the final ear project which got deployed on the server we have only on war file which have below structure
    ../UI-Proj-Main/sub
                        /jsp1
                        /jsp2
                        /jsp1_sub1
                        /jsp2_sub1
                        /jsp1_sub2
                        /jsp2_Sub2
    To perform this we have created a linked-source of UI-Proj-Sub1 and UI-Proj-Sub2 in the project UI-Proj-Main. For this a an entry of '<linkedResources>' occured in the .project file of UI-Proj-Main . i.e.,
         <linkedResources>
              <link>
                   <name>UI-Proj-Sub1</name>
                   <type>2</type>
                   <location>C:/myProj/UI-Proj-Sub1/sub</location>
              </link>
              <link>
                   <name>UI-Proj-Sub2</name>
                   <type>2</type>
                   <location>C:/myProj/UI-Proj-Sub2/sub</location>
              </link>
         <linkedResources>
    My Problem:
    The '<location>' tag contains the explicit path of my workspace myProj. If I want to create a different workspace then I need to manually edit the .project file for relinking. If I use the Path variable in location i.e.,
    <linkedResources>
         <link>
              <name>UI-Proj-Sub1</name>
              <type>2</type>
              <location>WORKSPACE_LOCC/UI-Proj-Sub1/sub</location>
         </link>
         <link>
              <name>UI-Proj-Sub2</name>
              <type>2</type>
              <location>WORKSPACE_LOCC/UI-Proj-Sub2/sub</location>
         </link>
    <linkedResources>
    then I got following error at the time of deploying the application
    "Runtime exception occurred in publish task 'Split Source Mapping Generation Task'.Source should be absolute."
    Kindly let us know a way to avoid the absolute path in .project file. Our customer don't want us to change the project structure.

    Disabled where? Project or workspace? You should check both.
    And you must still go to an Eclipse forum and ask for help there, this is not an Eclipse support channel.

  • GNU make ignores the PATH variable

    I just want to restate what was said in this post (that is now archived):
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2144085
    I have the exact same problem. The PATH variable is not taken into account when running simple commands in a makefile. If I change the command to something just a little more complex, like "echo hello && command" it works. So it seems to be an optimisation problem.
    I am running GNU Make 3.81 on Mac OS X 10.6.4.

    There's an Eclipse forum dedicated to C/C++ questions you might wish to

  • Replacement Path Variable with Another Variable

    Hi,
    I am currently trying to create a report that would need me to have the same values for different characteristics (e.g. clearing date, posting date, net due date). I have seen that there is a way in the replacement path variable that would replace its value with another variable that is ready for input. I also looked into SAP help but I can't seem to figure out on how to do it specifically. Does anyone know a step-by-step process on how to do this? How does this work?
    Thank you in advance!

    take an e.g.
    u have characteristic say ch1
    u want to restrict it with replacement path variable
    first of all create a variable var1
    click what it is based upon for e.g. 0calday, 0material etc.
    make it user entry variable
    select single or multiple entry
    make it mandatory
    save it and hit okey
    click on ch1
    right click and say restrict
    in new window create a new variable
    give its name and technical name
    processing path is replacement path
    go to next tab of replacement path
    select several ooptions
    replace variable with another variable
    select a variable called var1
    change the offset length and offset start with different parameters.
    hit okey
    this way u have restricted ch1 with replacement path variable var1
    now when u run report u have to enter value of var1
    which will then further feeded to ch1
    this way u can create replacement path variables at lots of instances and then u can always feed the value from var1 at different time
    make sure as this ur requirement is date
    try to use 0calday as reference infoobject all the times....

  • Using Characteristic value with Replacement path variable

    Hi All,
    Could you please let me know if it is possible to use charecteristic value instead of key figure with replacement path variable. My requirement is to use factory calendar id as the replacement variable on plant characteristic, now when I choose replcaement variable with Attribute value, the dropdown menu only gives the list of key figures assigned as an attributes to Plant.

  • Issue with the Replacement Path Variable.

    Hi,
    I have an issue in using the Replacement Path Variable.
    Issue: I have Sales information in the Sales Cube and AR information in the Accounts Receivable cube. Now we have a requirement to show the open AR documents with Sales information in it.
    Apparently the system generates same number for both AR and Billing document.
    So I thought of using the Replacement path variable in the Sales Query on Billing Document, so that it runs the AR query to get the list of open AR documents into the Sales query. But the system is complaining:
    "System error in program CL_RSR_OLAP and form IF_RSR_OLAP~MODIFY_VQUERY_SETTINGS-01- (see long text)".
    I searched OSS note on this and found the note: 1432062. Implemented, but now it complains:
    "Abort Variable XXX cannot be replaced in this query".
    I am trying to return the result from Accounting Document to the Billing Document. I know this is an issue, but after implementing the Note, i thought it would be fixed. But no luck.
    Did anyone come across this situation. If you have any solution for this, pls let me know.
    Thanks.

    Hello;
    Why don't you try to add the billing document in your financial cube;
    mapping it with the a ccount document number?
    This should make the replacement path work fine.

  • Replacement path variable with offsets

    Hi experts,
    I have the requirement to report receivables (open items) historically by fiscal year / period.
    More precisely, each period should show the open items that are open at the end of the period.
    Example:
    001.2010 (shows open items from 31.01.2010)
    002.2010 (shows open items from 28.02.2010)
    ...etc.
    The idea is that the user enters a fiscal year/period using a manual entry variable.
    The open items should be calculated as follows:
    KF: Amount
    Posting Date <= Variable
    Clearing > Variable or unassigned
    Variable is a replacement variable that is replaced by attribute "Date To" from the user entry Variable (Fiscal year period)
    E.g. if the user enters 008.2010, then this value is automatically replaced by 31.08.2010.
    Generally this works.
    However, to view the values for the last 12 months, a structure is needed consisting of 12 elements with offsets in order to show the 12 months prior to the selected period (e.g. 001.2010 - 002.2010 - 003.2010 ....etc.)
    The problem is that the replacement only considers the user's variable entry and ignors the offsets.
    Example:
    User enters 008.2010.
    In the column strucure I show 3 months 006.2010, 007.2010, 008.2010.
    Then all columns would show items open on 008.2010 - the offsets are ignored.
    Any idea, why this happens and how it can be resolved?
    This problem has given me a headache for days.
    Your help is much appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Alex
    The user should be able to enter a fiscal year / period and

  • Replacement Path variable with query

    Hi all,
       I have a replacement path variable in a query that use the result from other query (a pre-query), both of them use the same variables, exactly the same, although the query ask me for the values of the variables twice (for the query and for the pre-query), is possible that the query ask me for the  variables only one time (re-use the same values for both queries)?
    Thanks,
      Javier

    If possible use only the variable with replacement path on the query. Since the Pre-query has all the same variables as the main query, the user would enter all the required input on the pre-query one time. The result of the pre--query feeds the main query. If the main query has no other selection variables except for the replacement path, the selection screen will not pop up again.

  • Setting Path variable in Win XP Pro

    Hello,
    I have installed Java SDK 1.3.0_02 on Windows XP professional.
    I have set my path to:
    %SystemRoot%\system32; %SystemRoot%; %SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM;
    %SystemRoot%; %SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM; C:\Program Files\Common
    Files\Adaptec Shared\System; %Java_Home%\bin; %Java_Home%; %Tomcat_Home%;
    where %JAVA_HOME% refers to C:\jdk1.3.0_02.
    I get the following error upon trying to use 'javac' in the DOS command
    prompt:
    'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable
    program or batch file
    According to the instructions at
    <http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/install-windows.html#Environment> I have done
    all I can. Also, according to this article I should not have to set a
    classpath variable. Should I set a classpath variable?
    Here are some conditions I cannot figure out:
    1) When I use the 'java' command with any switches (such as -version) I get
    a proper response.
    2) When I type on the command line "set path=C:\jdk1.3.0_02" and then try
    "javac" command it works. This happens only while the command window is
    opened. If it is closed and reopened I will have to do it again. This should
    not be required.
    3) When I navigate to the "C:\jdk1.3.0_02\bin" directory and try using the
    "javac" command it works fine.
    4) Everytime I use the 'autoexec' command in the C: root directory I get an
    old version of the path variable without my recent path settings.
    What do I need to do to simply open a command prompt and compile Java code?
    It seems to work fine on other installations. I want to be able to use
    'javac' from any directory without referencing in the command line the
    directory of 'javac'.
    My main question is how do I set the path variable so it permanently stays in
    Windows XP Pro? What is the simplist way to do this?
    Should it be set in the environmental variables section under 'My Computer'? Should it be set in DOS? Should it be set in 'autoexec.syd' in the C: root directory (there is not autoexec.bat)? Someone mentioned to set the

    From the command prompt echo your classpath (echo %classpath%) and see what displays. If it's not the one from your environment variables, then something else is getting it's dirty hands in the way.
    You may want to take a look through your autoexec.bat and remove any lines that set the path variable. Leave it to your windows environment settings to do it for you.

  • Java SDK 1.4.2_07 Install On Windows98SE and PATH Variable

    I've recently dowloaded and installed the JAVA SKD 1.4.2_07 with NetBeans 4.0 bundle. onto my Windows98SE system. Everything installed fine, but my problem is with setting the PATH variable. I've tried several different methods for setting the Path in the autoexec.bat file. I've tried the instructions outlined in the documentation by running sysedit and then modifying the autoexec.bat file, I've tried using the DOS command to edit the file, and even used Window's -> Program Files -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Tools-> System Configuration utility. My primary problem is that whenever I reboot or run the c:\autoexec.bat, I see an error that says "Too many parameters". Furthermore when I run the 'path' statement from the DOS prompt, the added variable is not there.
    My current autoexec.bat file has only one line in the path, so I even tried removing this line and putting only the path for the JDK into the autoexec.bat.. Whenever I run the Javac to compile my source code, I get a 'bad command or filename' warning. However, If I move the .java source file to the j2sdk1.4.2_07\bin directory and run Javac it will compile.
    Can anyone assist me with this problem.? I've read several posts where people are having problems compiling their .Java files on a Windows platform, but can compile them on other platforms.
    Thanks in advance.

    My path variable is still not being set! Here is the content of my autoexec.bat located on the root directory of C:\
    rem - By Groove Setup
    PATH=%PATH%;"C:\Program Files\Groove Networks\Groove\Bin"
    PATH=%PATH%;C:\PROGRAM FILES\J2SDK1.4.2_07\BIN
    /code]
    When I type 'path' at the MSDOS C:\ prompt, I receive the following in the get the following:C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;\C:\PROGRAM FILES\GROOVE NETWORKS\GROOVE\BIN
    As an aside, I noticed that when I perform a search of the my hard drive (c:\), I find two autoexec.bat files. One at the root, and the other in C:\Windows\Command\EBD.
    I believe the instructions stated to modify the autoexec.bat at the root directory.
    TIA for any assistance. This is really becoming a nusance and taking up quite a bit of my time trying to resolve this problem.

  • Replacement Path variable cannot be used in filter

    After creating a variable of type replacement path with query I get the error message:
    Errors: Variable ... cannot be used in 'Filter' 'Default Values'; remove
    Does anyone know what is causing this message and how to prevent it?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    József.

    Thanks for your response Bhargava,
    Your answer did help me find the solution. When using a replacement path variable with query, you can only use the variable in the Characteristic Restrictions part of the Filters (not in the Default Values).
    The characteristic itself can still be used for navigation.
    p.s. Found that when copying a query some links to structures, like restricted key-figures, are kept in the metadata repository, even after removing them from the query. This can also cause error messages.

    József.

  • Security Violation during PATH Variable Substitution

    Hi -
    I' m trying to write a file with the receiver file adapter by the variable substitution feature from SP12 on.
    Whereas the %filename% variable works fine, I get for the %path% variable an exception in the adapter engine, whenever I'm trying either
    - to use an absolute path like "/tmp" or
    - composed pathnames like "tmp/test" (that are based on $XIHOME/j2ee/cluster/server0)
    Non-composed pathnames like $XIHOME/j2ee/cluster/server0/tmp by setting %path% to "tmp" work also.
    Any clue?
    I'm on AIX on SP12.
    Here is the exception:
    java.text.ParseException: Security violation encountered during variable substitution: Content of variable path is not safe

  • Trying to understand the PATH variable

    Greetings,
    I read that the PATH variable specifies a set of directories where executable programs are located. But if I use "echo $PATH" in Terminal to view the directories, it does not list the Applications folder or the Downloads folder or any of the other places I have programs. So how to they run?
    Thanks

    The PATH variable is a list of search paths used by a particular shell. Basically, when you enter a command in a command-line context (such as from within Terminal.app), the unix system will search for executables in all of the folders listed in the PATH variable, running the first it finds.
    Apps that are run from the GUI are launched by the launch services daemon, which takes care of all the details of locating and loading executable. Launch services maintains a database of app locations, so it wouldn't need to search along unix PATHs to find what it needs.

  • Without hard coding it how can I add a java app to my path variable

    I'm not sure how to phrase this but I wrote a quick utility program and I wrote a quick batch file to call the program. I put the batch file in a folder in the path variable and put the folder containing the classes in there as well. I was hoping that when I called the batch it would check the relative location and see the folder for the utility program and run it. However I got an error message acting like it couldn't find the class. I think it's checking the current directory I'm in, not the current directory of the batch file that's actually calling it. I don't want to hardcode the path into the batch file since it's mobile and could be run from different folders so I was wondering how can I fix this?

    I am assuming you got a ClassNotFoundException?
    echo the command your batch file is running to this forum and then I'll be able to help you

  • Replacement path variable is not working

    Hi Experts,
    I have created a input ready query & assigned it to a  Web template.
    In query filter, I have used char. 0SALESORG restricted with manual input variable.
    In row, I am using custome defined char. Market with master data as a access type. Market is display attribute of 0SALESORG.
    My requirement is whenever user selects a value for 0SALESORG through variable same values should be displayed in row for char. Market.
    I tried to achieve this requirement using replacement path variable on char. Market.

    Correct me if I am doing any mistake / suggest any other feasible option.
