Eclipse question: why no compile?

i have my Eclipse workspace in:
c:\\.....\\java, in this java folder I have a project called FORS, with 2 folders in the
project, one called Site, the other called JFORLIBRARY. In the Site folder, when I
save the classes (in Eclipse) Eclipse automatically compiles them from
scratch.
However, in the FORS directory and in the Site directory when I save (in Eclipse)
i get no compile. Is there some setting I have to change to get it to compile any
path in this folder? Does anyone know how i can get all these classes to
compile when i save them in eclipse? thanks

have incremental compiling turned on, you won't
notice anything on saving, because the class files
already exist.Aer you asking me or the OP? In my case, I know it wasn't compiling because I would change the code and the program would be unaffected. I deleted the binaries and they were never recreated by Eclipse. I have other projects that work fine so it's not that I don't understand how it works, it's that this one project is all jacked up.
The biggest beef I have with Eclipse is that when IBM wrote it, they used the asinine Microsoft-esque approach of depending on a clean application exit. If the program (or your OS) crashes, it can completely screw up your workspace. I don't know what they do at close but it would be better if they made incremental changes instead of waiting for the application to close. For the life of me, I can't understand why they haven't changed this after IBM open-sourced it.

First, make sure you're logged into the iTunes Store using the account ID and password you set up, or used, when you redeemed your card/gift. If you are, try signing out of the account and back in.
If you're sure you are using the correct account and that you're signing in to the iTunes Store, and signing out and back in doesn't help, go to the Purchase History and review your purchases to make sure that you should indeed have a balance left. iTunes doesn't always refresh the balance it shows, so it's possible you spent the money and it just wasn't being reflected in the display. This display error can usually be corrected by logging out of the iTunes Store and then back in.
If you confirm that you should have balance left but the iTunes Store isn't showing it correctly, send a message to the iTunes Store customer service department through the contact form you'll find by selecting the most applicable section of their Support page (select the Contact Support link and follow the instructions) and explain the problem to them.

Just curious. where can i find the generated servlet code in eclipse? Like i have a j2ee project in eclipse name JSPEXAMPLE and then i have a jsp page which is in JSPEXAMPLE/WebContent/WEB-INF. i have this jsp code.

It's nothing to do with Eclipse, your sevlet container compiles JSPs. Refer to the docs for whatever container you're using to see where it puts them, or Google it. I can't remember where Tomcat puts compiled JSPs, sorry!
Be prepared to see some pretty ugly code though :-)

Your visa card is a credit card, not debit card? Do you meet the requirements as below, interpreted strictly?

One thing the iPad lacks is a file manager. There is no file explorer native on the iPad. If you started adding plugin cards, then you add the need for that. And, in PC's, most viruses spread via the file explorer (the definition of a virus is a malicious program that propagates itself across multiple programs)

I am trying to use the new UDP datagram API's that come in AIR 2. However when I try to compile sample code from the web, in a very short program, I get a compiler error. First why is this error occurring, and how come the compiler doesn't show the new AIr 2 API's. I get an error on the function definition, it says "DatagramSocketDataEvent" was not a compile type constant. I imported DatagramSocketDataEvent as a known class, why am I getting this error?

Actually I figured out the answer. This actually demonstrates a bug in the Flash Compiler; I was importing flash.net.DatagramSocketDataEvent, but this symbol is actually found in flash.events.... so why the compiler didn't warn me that flash.net.xxx didn't exist is a mystery, seems obvious to me that an imported symbol better exist else it is a typo.
so problem solved but it seems like Adobe needs to improve their compiler.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a (too) high value can cause issues.

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.

Error(6,20): Attribute 'xmlns:xalan' used but not declared.
Above error is given.... the xalan.jar in my class path..., but it still doesn't work..
I have a project that compiles great in Eclipse v3.0 but when I import the war into jDev i get several errors when compiling JSP's that use struts tag libraries.
(I thought migrating war's would be easier than this)

The xalan namespace attribute is used in a Stylesheet.
xmlns:xalan="http://xml.apache.org/xalan"Are you using taglibs?
If the <taglib> element in a tld has the xmlns:xalan attribute, remove the xmlns:xalan attribute.

How to create executable jar in eclipse using linking in compiler

Hi,
I have a project in Eclipse. I wrote already an ant build file for creating an executable jar which includes all project files.
Now I want to create a second executable jar which is a subset of the project (a limited number of classes are necessary).
I have a main class and I was looking for a way to generate a jar file which includes the main class and all the depending classes.
Is there a way to do it? With ant or with another tool?
Is it possible to compile a project given a main class, and include all depending classes?

You already said that you are using Ant.
Ant uses script files.
Since you have one with X items in it and you want something new with X-Y items in it the obviously it would make sense to construct an ant script that does less than the other ant script.

Other than that no one can tell you want your Ant script will look like except that it will do less than the one that you already have.
