    Hello guys,
    First thank you for your time and help !
    Today finally I was able to resolve my problem. I think that somehow my project (Java Dynamic Web Project) was corrupted becouse I wasn't able to find the report on runtime in any way (I try to put it in .ear as well). Now I have created one new fresh Dynamic Web project and add Crystal Reports facets to it. Then I put my report file in "reports" folder under WebContent and I was able to find it on runtime. My CRConfig.xml  is availiable under /WEB-INF/classes/ and it CONTAINS the following <reportlocation>../..</reportlocation> tag.
    I found very useful and helpfull articles here :

  • Jre disappeared from C:\Program Files\eclipse-SDK-3.5.1-win32\eclipse\

    Every morning I open Eclipse on the same computer with no problems.
    One morning, jre folder disappeared from C:\Program Files\eclipse-SDK-3.5.1-win32\eclipse\
    As a result, I could not open eclipse, until I have realized, jre is not there anymore...
    Why? Windows updates? I have never pressed "yes" on such updates.....
    I do not know the reason for it and how to prevent it for the future.
    Thanks

    Now that there are pre-combined distributions of AIR 3.5 SDK with ASC 2.0 Preview 4,
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/asc2/
    ...you could avoid attempting an overlay. Try:
    1. Closing FB 4.7.
    2. Backing up FB 4.7's old AIRSDK folder by renaming it to something else.
    3. Unzipping the pre-combined AIR 3.5 SDK with ASC 2.0 Preview 4 and putting it in place of the old AIRSDK folder with the exact name.
    4. Starting FB 4.7.
    FB 4.7 does plan to offer in-tool upgrades to official AIR SDK with ASC 2.0 distributions.

  • [iPhone SDK beta 7] screen capture error?

    As of beta 7 of the SDK, I get the following error when I try to capture a screenshot of my device via Xcode: "Could not communicate with the device, connection failed".
    Anyone else encounter this? Or is it working for you?
    Thanks.

    Me, too. Xcode 3.1. I am using the old-fashioned screen capture technique (holding power while pressing home), but it's not nearly as nice and the fact I can't do the other worries me a bit.
    Has anyone been able to do this since iPhone 2.1 came out?

    Hello!
    I've got the same problem and I think it has something to do with the jserv.conf file.
    According to the installation guide, the following line should be added:
    ApJServAction .jsp /servlets/oracle.jsp.JspServlet
    In the same file I have the following line:
    ApJServMount /servlets /root
    So /servlets is mounted on /root. I don't knoww what this /root pints to, but I think the problem is that this path does not lead to oracle.jsp.JspServlet.
    Has ANYONE yet solved this problem?

    I suppose you have to check your NT CLASSPATH variable. It should contain all the classpaths for JDK, JAR & ZIP files correctly.

    I am assuming you are using apache/tomcat.
    The url doesn't look right. Usually they look like
    http://[ip address]/[web app]/servlet/[servlet name]
    If you have used servlet-mapping to map ThreeParamsForm.htm to a servlet then you should be able to use
    http://[ip address]/[web app]/ThreeParamsForm.htm
    where [web app] is a directory under TOMCAT_HOME/webapps

  • Error while configuring Eclipse SDK for Oracle Utilities SDK 2.2

    Hi.
    I'm installing an Enterprise Taxation Management development workstation. I followed the install guide from top to bottom.
    The application server is ok, the SDK seems to be OK.
    I executed 'configureEclipse.exe' and made manual configurtions -as the install guide reads-. The eclipse project was created, but it has 2 missing libraries.
    When I open eclipse, it shows the following errors:
    Project EclipseProject220 is missing required library: 'lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.6.0.jar'
    Project EclipseProject220 is missing required library: 'lib/spl-ccb-2.2.0.jar'
    My questions is ¿where do I get those jar files?
    About the environement:
    The develpment workstation is a laptop running Windows 2003 server, with ETM v2.2.0 Application Server installed. 3rd party SW is installed ok (appropiated versions). Web Server is Apache Tomcat v6.0.13. Eclipse v3.2.2. Oracle Utilities SDK v2.2.0.5 installed.
    Database is installed on another computer, running Windows XP with Oracle Database 11i, connected on a LAN.
    Thanks in advance.

    I had these problems too..
    I suppouse you're installind TAX (ETM) so the library you need is lib/spl-tax-2.2.0.jar'
    On the other hand, the othe 'lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.6.0.jar' eclipse is asking for. I changed it for 'lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.7.0.jar'
    After change these libs I can run the generator and deploy scripts even when i don't know jet how to develop.
    Dou you have some cookbooks for developing (algorithnms, modify native clases, ect) you'd like to share??
    Thanks a lot.

  • Error Messages/Building Plug-ins with Eclipse SDK or VCExpress 2005

    Hi,
    I am an newbie in building InDesign-Plugins. I have installed the Adobe InDesign Plug-in Editor on my Windows XP PC (InDesign CS3 SDK, Eclipse, JRE 1.5, Visual Studio 2005 (VCExpress Edition for C++)).
    I tried to build one of the example Plug-ins with Eclipse. After startting the build process of the "transparencyeffectui"-example or the "DollyXs"-example the following message appears:
    Buildfile: F:\SDK\workspace\DollyTest\build.xml
    win:
    [echo] Now compiling FR file F:\adobe_indesign_cs3_products_sdk_503win\source\sdksamples\dollytest\Dolly.fr for win
    [delete] Deleting: F:\SDK\workspace\DollyTest\ODFRC.res
    [echo] FR Compilation Complete: Attempting to build C++ files...
    BUILD FAILED

    Total time: 485 milliseconds
    The compiler did't start because the file "devenv.com" is missing in the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/Common7/IDE"-directory.
    The free "Visual Studio Express Edition" is delivered withot this file.
    Where can i get this file? Or is it possible to change the exec line in the built-xml-file to get the Compiler started?
    So I started the VCExpress-Programm an opened the transparencyeffetui-Project-File to start the build process. But again i got an error message:
    1>------ Erstellen gestartet: Projekt: TransparencyEffectUI, Konfiguration: Debug Win32 ------

    ========== Erstellen: 0 erfolgreich, Fehler bei 1, 0 aktuell, 0 übersprungen ==========
    There is no "windows.h"-file in the SDK directory. I tried to include all available SDK-"inculde"-directories to the VC++ directories in the option menue in VCExpress but i got the same error message.
    Any ideas how to get the plug-in build with Eclipse or Visual Studio Express 2005 (C++)?
    zaphodbeeblebroxxx

    OK, so first some background:
    1) The basic process goes like this:
    a) one release doc (edited by the developer, presumably) and the
    template docs are copied to the build area
    b) Each doc is unzipped (ODT's are just ZIP files) into a subdir
    c) The doc contents are copied around; this is to allow Ant to
    replace its special @VAR@ variables in the document content
    d) The docs are zipped back up into ODTs
    e) The ODTs are converted into PDFs using OOo's macro functionality
    Here are the troubleshooting steps I would apply:
    1) Make sure the external.odt file exists - check the build area
    (//content/build/<pluginname>/tmp/) and can be opened using normal
    OpenOffice
    2) Check that the release.odt file exists (same location) and can be
    opened using normal OpenOffice
    3) See if you can manually convert the external.odt file into a PDF -
    the command we use is simply:
    soffice -invisible
    macro:///Standard.Collectors.External2PDF(${pkgdir}/tmp/external.odt)
    (replace ${pkgdir} with the build directory path).
    If all that works, then the Ant build process should work.
    Also - what does that OpenOffice error popup say?

  • Error in coding in Eclipse SDK

    I'm getting the following error:
    The method setFirewall(Firewall) in the type InternetQuery is not applicable for the arguments (Firewall)
    It also happens in these other instances:
    The method setInteraction(Interaction2D) in the type Draw2D is not applicable for the arguments (Interaction2D)
    Even weirder is there are two copies of this class (Not my code) yet the other identical class doesn't have this problem. The only difference is the package, but dragging one into the other's package doesn't change anything.
    My confusion results from me sending the exact object to the method that it's supposed to take as a parameter, yet Eclipse doesn't seem to realize that. I've tried running it through javac as well to see if that helps (I'm on a redhat linux VPM), but that didn't work either.
    Any ideas on what to do?
    I've tried casting the inputs to see if that would help, and no luck. I also tried Eclipse's recommended fixes, but those created other problems. If you know how to use Eclipse's recommended fixes that could help as well. Thanks in advance for any responses.

    This sounds like a very simple problem, made more
    difficult by a large number of classes. I'm not sure
    that it's something that can really be solved on a
    discussion forum, due to the large number of classes.
    However, here are some things to think about:
    1) Start by understanding your package structure. I
    don't know if you're using 3rd-party code from a jar,
    or if you've written everything. In the former case,
    use "jar tvf" to get a listing of the contents of the
    JAR. In the latter, use "find" (on Linux, probably
    the search command on Windows) to get a listing of
    all your .java file.
    Correct, the code is 3rd party. I'll do that once I get the chance, which should be shortly. I can see all the classes as is in the project workspace though.
    2) If you're using default packages anywhere (no
    "package" statement at the top of the java file),
    don't. Put all your code into packages.
    I'll check, but I'm pretty sure there isn't. Eclipse shows the default package in the hierarchy, and that's not listed, so it would follow that it doesn't exist. I'll check anyways though.
    3) Look at the files that are having problems, and
    make sure that you import the proper classes (based
    on the inheritance hierarchy in your project).
    I'll check about importing the proper files as well.
    If all of those are not the case though, is there anything else you could think of that it would be?
    Part of the problem with this as well is thatwhile
    importing the classes from other packages allowthe
    class to be compiled in Eclipse, compiling them ina
    terminal using the javac command doesn't work, asit
    can't recognize the packages.It sounds like you haven't set up your compile-time
    classpath. If you have classfiles in different
    directory trees (or JARs) you'll need to specify the
    -classpath option to javac. You'll also need to
    compile the classes in the order of their
    dependencies.
    Okay, I'll toy around with that. That would make sense, as each package as its own directory.
    As a side note, in the future it will help if you
    paste the exact error message, along with the code
    that it refers to.
    Will do.

    hi orafad,
    i try current style db:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@//localhost/xe","system","system");
    but i get this error:
    exception
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: An exception occurred processing JSP page /index.jsp at line 17
    17: Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@//localhost/xe","system","system");
    Stacktrace:

    javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: oracle.i18n.text.OraBoot.getCharsetMaxCharLen(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/String;
    and then i tried this one:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@127.0.0.1:8085:xe","system","system");
    and got this error:
    Error: Erreur d'E/S: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
    so i think my url connection is good and may be the problem is elsewhere
    thanks for your listening

    however, i want to say that i manually changed the http port for oracle (now port 8085) to avoid conflict with jbossAS which use port 8080 by default
    all changes goes correct
    so i change my url connexion like this:
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@//localhost:1521:xe","system","system");
    and got the same error
    question: it is not a problem to run eclipse jboss oracle express edition in a virtual machine?
    or may be an error inside my jsp page:
    <%@ page language="java" import="java.sql.*" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"

    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@//localhost:8085:xe","system","system");
    System.out.println("Connected sucessfully.<br /><br />\n");
    System.out.println("Return all the employees name.<br />\n");
    String sql = "SELECT ENAME FROM EMP";
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery(sql);
    while (rs.next()) {
         out.println(" ename=" + rs.getString("ename") + "<br />\n");
    stmt.close();
    stmt = null;
    conn.close();
    conn = null;
    out.println("<br />Disconnected sucessfully.<br /><br />\n");
    catch (Exception ex) {

  • Jdbc error : ClassNotFoundException

    I have code that is to access a Sybase database. The abbreviated code is below:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.lang.*;
    class connectest
    public static void main(String argv[])
    String url = "jdbc:sybase:Tds:155.133.288.155:5009";
    String driver = "com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver"
    Connection con = null;
    try
    String imTable = "Trans";
    String startDate = "02/01/2001";
    String endDate = "05/20/2001";
    ResultSet rs = null;
    Class.forName(driver);
    con = DriverManager.getConnection( url, "joe", "password" );
    Statement s = con.createStatement();
    s.execute( "SELECT Amount" +
    "FROM Trans " +
         "WHERE TradeDt = " + startDate );
    while (true)
         rs = s.getResultSet();
         int rowcount = s.getUpdateCount();
         if (rowcount != -1)
         System.out.println("count = " + rowcount);
         if (rs == null && rowcount == -1)
                   break;
         s.getMoreResults();
    catch (SQLException se)
    System.out.println("SQL Exception: ");
    System.out.println( se.getMessage() );
    System.exit(1);
    catch (Exception e)
    System.out.println("Connection attempt to " + con + " via " + driver + " has failed.");
    System.out.println(e);
    System.exit(0);
    The error I get is:
    Connection attempt to null via"com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDrive has failed.
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDrive
    My guess is that I must add something to the CLASSPATH so javac can use/see com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDrive. But actually I haven't created a CLASSPATH yet because I have not needed one yet. How would I set up the CLASSPATH to resolve this error.? Or is there another solution.
    Thanks,
    George

    Yor are right you need a jar file jconn2.jar with the classes.
    How you put it in a classpath depends a bit on which environment you are using. If you are using something like the Java SDK with command line interface then you can either set an environment variable of CLASSPATH or supply it to javac, java etc. with -classpath
    For values you should have . (i.e. your current directory) and the path to any directories with class files (e.g. c:\java\myutilclasses) plus explicit definition of jar files (e.g. c:\sybase\lib\jconn2.jar)
    So your classpath might be:
    .;c:\java\myutilclasses;c:\sybase\lib\jconn2.jar
    N.B. When I last used Solaris the separator between classpath items was : whilst for Windows it's ;
    If you are using an IDE, e.g. JBuilder, Forte there will probably be a window for defining classpath (maybe as osurce paths and required libraries)
