ECM on salary structure / tariff structure

Hi,
to my understanding Enterprise Compensation Management is based on salary structures maintained in table T710. That means IT0008-CPIND is set to 'S'
Has anybody made experience with ECM for tariff employees? Meaning that table T510 is used?

V_T510A u have to configure ur PST
V_T510G  u hve to configure ur PSA
and assign the feature tarif through PE03
and ur Pay scale structure is define through Tarif only

    We have a list of 1,104 internal jobs defined in our company.

    Created planned compensation IT1005 against all the positions in the organization.
    Created composites after doing the job matching (internal vs external) with 2 different salary surveys and updated the IT1271 composite survey result.
    How to handle the below scenarios ?
    How to upload the market data for the same job in the catalog with different values for different countries. (like SAP consultant in india & US will have different values)
    We are trying to map the market data for a job with the pay grade structure of a particular country. There are 1,104 jobs and how to map this to the pay grade structure having only 15 grades per country.
    I wanted to understand how this mapping happens in a ideal situation to perform the salary structure adjustment.

    Please refer to helpline provided in help.sap.com and refer to transaction PECM_START_JPR_BSP for documentation on how to do job pricing via portal. There is not much documentation available though on the same, but you may get back to me if you need help in completing cycle.

  • SAP ERP 6.0 Enterprise Compensation Management-Salary structure adjustment

    Using the sap portal functionality, for the Salary survey and benchmarking -> Salary strucuture adjustment, the portal displays the folllowing situation:
    - tab current salary structure : the values are correctly filled automatically using the related back end configuration table
    - tab market data = the system displays "market minimum"= "market average" = "market maximum", once selected the composite result to be used
    - tab planned salary structure : once click on "Create from market data", the system displays "planned minimum" = "planned reference" = "planned maximum" as consequence of what uploaded in tab "market data".
    someone can help me to understand why the market minimum = market maximum = market average, because the uploaded survey job catalogues and survey market have minumum not equal to average not equal to maximum.

    Hi Kevin,
    As you noted the IT0759 is created, but this is actually good history!  How could you refute an employee who says "My boss said I was getting a Special Adjustment and it is not on my paycheck!".  You want that "$0.00" record in the IT0759.  You do not want any change to IT0008 or IT0015 if there is no adjustment entered and none is created upon activation.  But you do want the IT0759 for proof as to what the manager did enter - no increase.
    We have used ECM for the past two years.  We maintain the IT0759 as history and also have three types of increases - Merit, Market and Lump Sum.  Most people will get a merit, some a market adjustment and a few a lump sum amount or they may receive more than one.  But even if no entry is made, we want to make sure the manager has "Submitted" the $0.00 record.  This way we can verify the manager has consider each employee - $0.00 can be a valid amount if no increase is given!  Also, this is referenced when you do a history view of the employee's salary in ECM.  Thus, the $0.00 amount record is a valid record and should be maintained.

    Pay Scale  is the specific set of information that determines a preconfigured monthly, semi-monthly, or hourly rate of pay. It consists of Pay Scale Area, Pay Scale Group and Level, Pay Scale Type, and Capacity Utilization Level.
    Pay Scale would be used if there are steps based on time or other criteria such as can be found in a union agreement. However, it can also be used for salaried employees. Pay Grade would be used if most of the employees were salaried. Pay Grade is also tied to Compa Ratio while Pay Scale is not.
    Pay Scale Structure means creation of Payroll area , Pay scale type,area, group and levels with EmpSub group grouping for PCR & CAP's.
    Salary Structure - Structure of job grades and pay ranges within a company. It is a grouping of pay grades.

  • New salary structure

    Dear Experts,
    My customers want to revise whole salary structure. our present salary structure based on the Emp.group and ESG, that are our bands and worklevels. Now for the new salary structure they requires all salary slabs shouldnt have the band with bands and worklevels. Is any one can help me with out bands and worklevels how can i default salary slab in IT00008, because valuation is based on the bands and work levels.

  • Pay Scale  Structure Without  Compensation Management

    Any  idea how  to  create a Payscale structure in HR ? The  client doesnt want to implement compensation management and maintain wage types in table t511 . Are there any SAP standard programs  or FMs for this ?

    Hi,
    You can create payscale groups and levels in T710A and T710.
    You can either use salary structure maintenance tool in compensation management or use the IMG section of basic pay in the PA module.

  • Can ECM work with T510?

    I am implementing ECM in an organization where they have their salary structure in Pay Scale (T510). The organization is not ready for migration to T710. Can ECM run on T510? I need this information ASAP as we are in a critical phase.

    Please let me update this post (in time).
    The problem is not using T710 or T510, however you must thing about Inditect or Direct valuation.
    In the direct valuation the amounts are saved in table PA0008 from infotype 0008 and could be read by ECM.
    In the indirect valuation the amounts are stored in tabele T510, T528C, T511k, etc, and cannot be read by ECM without a enhancement. Is very common work with INVAL through T510 but it is not exclusive.
    You must implement the Badi HRECM00_ACTIVATION to work with indirect valuation.
    You must use this Badi too, if you consider a salary increase for multiples waretypes.

             Currently Doing PA in this phase. Next phase we have ECM. SO when i config the payscale in 510 table, is it going to be ok for the next phase since we have ECM coming up? Or if i can default the salary structure in the 710A right now, it will be easy for the next phase?
    Please let me know wht to do and i need immediate help..

    You should use the T710 cluster table for ECM. T710 is supported by ECM for paygrade sturcture where as T510 is not.

    Dear All,
    We need Flexi Benefit Pay option in ESS portal for India.
    We tried a lot for the same but could not get any break through....
    We found Salary Packaging option in R3 under the Tcode P16B_admin...this is wrking fine in R3 but we want this option in portal so that employees can choose their own salary structure.
    We tried to pull this tcode thru Iview but the R3 screen is giving an option for employee to input pernr no. ...so now any employee can input anybodys pernr no. and modify the salary structure.
    also please letme know if this is a standard feature or we have to go for standard development.

      We never write BDC for PA40.
    Write it for PA30.
    Goto SHDB tcode and record for the required infotype.
    Or you can also use any of the following FM instead of BDc.
    HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
    HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA.

  • Ecm comp module

    hi everyone we are implementing enterprise compensation management in 4.7 version without MSS, i did the configuration for the plans offered and set the guidelines correctly,but for the salary survey results and the job evaluation i havent changed what is there in the earlier compensation management we are using, now the question is when i am trying to generate the report create compensation process records iam getting the message this employee does not have salary structure acc to the basic pay 0008 and also cannot calc the comp ratio with that i get the document paygrade structure not assigned to the basic pay, now the connection for the jobpricing thru Business server pages is not given is there any way we can generate the report succesfully. also i could not see the report generate compensation program records in easy access its just not there, is it because of the 4.7 version. PLZ can anyone help me in this as we are approaching the deadline thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your response.  However, I do not believe this is a configuration issue since we have almost 18,000 correct 0759 infotypes.  The ones that have blank Calculation Base and Currency (approx 10) had correct values before being changed by the supervisor (as confirmed by the Change Log).
    Further investigation has determined that the system will correct these infotypes when the Supervisor goes in for additional work on his/her org if the status is In Planning.  It also gets corrected when the Manager performs the Approval or Rejection step.
    So, at this time we will just monitor and correct via PA30, if needed.

  • No valid appraisal document found 00000429

    We have Appraisal & ECM configured. Appraisal documents are also created.
    In MSS when I try to do compensation planning, I get the following error -  'No valid appraisal document found 00000429'.
    Can anyone help in this regard?
    Is it because the various dates in ECM i.e. Key date, Effective date etc are not in sync with the Appraisal period or anything?

    I am trying to do an Annual review. The status of appraisal for the selected employee was completed. I approved it and therefore the status changed to Approved. Now the earlier error i.e. - No valid appraisal document found  is gone.
    Instead I am getting the following errors now:
    (1)  Salary Adjustment (Merit) (T): Jordan Micheal does not have a salary structure acc. to basic pay record on 01/01/2010 (00000972)
    (2) Salary Adjustment (Merit) (T): Error calculating compa-ratio of Jordan Micheal on 01/01/2010 (00000972)
    Note:
    In ECM config, we are using MBO appraisal and compa-ratio matrix.

  • Warning message in IT0008

    We are using T710 tables for Salary structure and T510A and T510G for pay scale area and type.  While entering the basic pay amount in the annual salary field, the warning message is coming in pay period amount range eventhough we have given annual salary range in T710A.
    Anybody who is not using the Pay Scale/Indirect Valuation for Basic pay, may be able to share their experience of maintaining only T710 tables without T510N table.

    Regarding T510 vs T710:
    Development has recommended that "it is necessary to migrate the T510N
    data into the salary structure data of tables T710/T710A."
    Additionally the table T510N is not used in the new functionalities
    instead tables T710 and T710A are used. These are transparent tables.
    Table T510N is a pooled table for historical reasons.
    It only exists due to compatibility reasons and will not be developed
    further.

    You create wage types. How do you understand wage type For example your basic pay is a wage type in this way you created all the wage types in the salary structure. Then you create symbolic accounts they are nothing but type of accounts whether it is an expense account,receivable or payable. You assign wage types to symbolice accounts and inturn symbolic accounts are assigned to FI GL accounts. This is FI - HR integration.
