Edge Animate: Change URL, Back and Forward Buttons (JS window.history)

Hi,
I want to build complete homepages with edge animate and i am on a good way but i have only one problem.
A site built in Edge Animate seems to has fluently changes from site to site because it is only one site.
So i have to simulate the feeling of junping to next site ore move forward
An exaple: I have built a site with edge animate with the home button, info button and a contact button.
i can switch fluently from one to the other. so it seems that it is a complete homepage but when i am on contact or on info i cannot klick to the back button on the browser.
so i found on web that i can change the url state.
i made a symbol then made a click event and put the line ---> window.history.pushState("Foto", "Title", "/photo");
now the Url changes from "example.com" to "example.com/photo"
Now the problem: How can i say to edge animate, that when i click the back button on the browser that it hast to go to timeline on a label?????

Among other things, you have a lot of code errors which modern browsers don't like. X-UA Compatible is necessary for IE browsers. So you can ignore that one. Or if you like clean code, put that meta tag inside an IE conditional comment.

Also, why are you using tables for layout? CSS is much more efficient.

With version 5 of Firefox, if I open more than 1 session, most of the time I cannot see anything in the navigation bar and my back and forward buttons do not work.

I open 1 session of Firefox 5.0.1 and everything seems to work fine. Back and forward button hover image?

I'm trying to find the property to change the background image of the back and forward button while in hover status. I can't find it for anything, I've searched for almost an hour.

I tried many times: safe-mode, upgrade from FirefoxF3.6., reinstallation in a new folder, creating new profile...........BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE.!!! What am I suppose to do? NoteQ in my another computer at home i have WinXP and the Firefox4.0.1 works perfectly!!!! Am I crazy???

History , Back and forward button to be disabled for some pages

Hi ,
There are buttons ( history, back and forward) just below the top level navigation in portal.
Is there a way that some pages can be restricted in History , Back and Forward operations so that some pages cannot be captured with history , back or forward actions in portal.

If we open our framework page there is something called Page title bar. This contains History, Back and Forward button. If we make it disable it'll not be visible in our portal.
So according to your requirement you can create a new framework page and can make changes in that framework page. Assign this framework page to a portal desktop and use it where you want.

The back and forward buttons on Logitech mouse don't work

My logitech performance MX back and forward buttons don't work. I tried in safe mode and they still don't work. I tried creating a custom shortcut in logitech setpoint and that didn't work either. I tried using the native mouse driver and not logitech. No luck.
I really like this functionality. Is there a way to enable these buttons?

i'm not sure if this will help but how about this add-on called "Vimperator". It is easy to use and works like vim. (Try this as an alternate till we figure out the problem) :)

How can I make appear the arrow-button that showed the recent history of a same tab (next to back and forward buttons)?

for instance, if I searched a word on google, then clicked on a certain page of the results, then inside that page I entered a link, etc if I wanted to "go back" directly to the instance of google searching I could click on this arrow-button and I would be able to choose that exact moment instead of clicking several times on the "back" till I reached the desired past page

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:
* Right click on the Back or Forward button
* Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens

Mouse back and forward buttons don't work

I have a Dell wireless bluetooth mouse. I installed Safari 4, and I like it a lot. I am thinking of ditching IE, but the back and forward buttons on my mouse don't do anything in Safari. It's very frustrating having to click the back button on screen instead of directly on my mouse. The buttons work perfectly in IE and in Windows explorer. I reinstalled the mouse drivers, but to no avail. Any ideas?

Did u get any software for your mouse? What brand is your mouse? I have Logitech setpoint software, where I can adjust mouse profile, setup mouse buttons action... I also have option (checkbox) to make my mouse use windows generic settings (the one you have in Control Panel under mouse section.
Now, this is just an idea, but it's good start point.
What you can also do (if you have such software installed) to uninstall it, restart, and see if Safari back/forward will work. Maybe this software (for some bizarre reason) conflicts Safari default action (as you said you don't have such problem in Fx)

Those buttons are used to scroll through the tabs if you have too many to display. If all of the tabs that you have open are visible, the buttons should not be displayed. If they are displayed all of the time there may be a problem with the theme that you are using.

It is possible to have earlier data in a tab if the latest tab had target="_top" that means the back key will not work, but if your right-click on the back/forward you see a context menu. As far as I know the only difference between 3.6 and 4.0 ws that the drop-down arrow was dropped but like before you can still right-click.
There are some extensions that mess with the Back/Forward buttons.
There is a difference between gray and '''black''' on the buttons, '''black''' means there is history in that direction.

Safari 2.0.3 - Back and Forward buttons disappeared

The Back and Forward buttons that are normally found next to the address bar have vanished. If you move the mouse over their position and click they show and activate, but is just a blank space when mouse pointer is not there. Have tried reloading them from the toolbar preferences, but the icons dont appear there either, just the space where theyshould be.

Quit Safari, find the com.apple.Safari.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder, drag it to the Desktop, and log in/out or restart and let us know what happens.

The back and forward button stay disabled after upgrading to Firefox 4

I upgraded to Firefox 4 and the back and forward buttons are never enabled. I see them, but they are not working.
History works, recently closed pages work, bookmarks work.
I disabled all addons, uninstalled FF4, deleted \Program Files\Firefox, re-installed, kept extensions disabled, removed all backups from bookmarkbackups, deleted places.sqlite and still nothing.
What else can I do?

To move the Stop and Reload buttons to their position to the left of the location bar you can use these steps:
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
* Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position to the left of the location bar.
* Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise (Space or Separator) to get two distinct buttons.
