Edit an field in alv and save it

i have an report in alv, i have used func module 'alv_list_display'.
i have to make an field edit'able,(so that i can edit,change the existing data) then i have to save the data so that the data is stored in the table.

you have to use fieldcat-input = 'X', and edit = 'X'.to make the fields editable in alv display.and SAVE you need the SAVE button.

Hi Experts,
   I have an ALV report in grid display (not object oriented). My requirement is to edit a field on the output and write the validations to validate the value that was edited on the ALV output.
This can be done using object oriented coding by using the method check_changed_data. For this to happen, i need to change the entire scope of my report into object oriented, which is like reinventing the wheel.
Since my report was developed using classical ABAP, what needs to be done to get this functionality. Any suggestions are welcome.

in the FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' import parameter IS_LAYOUT check out the columsn EDIT and EDIT_COLUMN. Also Use FM 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET' to get list possible event and pass a subroutine name which will be called when ever event is fired.

Pass Values to Edit Form thru Query String and Save in List

I have developed a custom Edit form from SharePoint Designer and I am passing values thru Query String as below;
http://<>/cli/acc/Lists/GIInfo/testEdit.aspx?ID=262&com=POD_Send
And, user supposed to save the form directly without changing the values came thru Query String as below.
Now, issue is, when user saves the form, values is not getting saved. It saves when we change the value in text box or when we do a text change event in form. Becasue data binding says Text Change even in data binding property.

Not able to edit assets in Illustrator/Photoshop and save over existing assets in Edge animation

Not able to edit assets in Illustrator/Photoshop and save over existing assets in Edge animation to update image changes. Has Adobe changed this capability with new releases? Does this mean to update an asset on the Edge animation timeline, you have to copy and paste all the animations of that old asset over to the new imported asset?

You should be able to save over existing assets in the images/ folder, then close and reopen the file. The other option is to save your assets and then use the swap image option in the properties panel. Is this what you're talking about? Thanks,

Edit a field in ALV tree in a subscreen of a module pool

I want to make a field editable in the ALV tree based on some condtions in a subscreen of a module pool. I used the edit = 'X' field in the fieldcatalog still it is showing the field as display and not edit.
Please help me to get the field as editable and save it to the database table.

I tried making the field which is to be made editable as wa_fieldcatalog-edit = 'X'. But its not working. I didnt get you when you said edit in layout object.
I also went through the demo programs but these programs are not having editable fields.

Regarding Editable Quantity field in ALV Grid

Hi Experts,
I need your advice in this 2 scenarios.
1.I have a scenario where quantity field in output is editable and the user wants the quantity field printed without thousand separator. If i take a char field and display the field is editable then user may mistakenly type a,bcd...z/ special characters which it should not capture. Is there any char data type data element which accepts only integers. Because after that i need to save that value in z database table quantity field.
2. when there i raised an error message after validation of that editable field in alv output(by events), the user wants all other rows in that grid as uneditable except the row which has got error till this error is solved. Is this possible. If yes how.
Please share your valuable suggestions.

as in dictionary, all quantity fields should have a reference to the unit field which then defines the number of decimals.
The rest is done automatically as long as you do it standard way. In field catalog you have to set the fcat-qfieldname to the name of the field that has the unit.
If you do so, also totals will be grouped by unit.
SAP has really done a great thing by inventing units for quantities (and currency keys for currency amounts). Only developers do not understand and thus refuse to use it.

Edit and save dynamic alv.

I have created a dynamic table then filled this dynamic table with the help of field symbols and then passed this dynamic table to grid1->set_table_for_first_display and hence the dynamic alv is shown on the screen. Now, can I do something to make this alv editable and store these values in z table. I have tried the method get_changed_cell method, but no help.

What help u need?
to activate the editable field u need to pass the field catalog parameter
EDIT = 'X'
Then Edit values in your alv
and press enter or define any icons in ur alv list useing user command
check the changed values using the method

After userA check out a page, edit the page and save, Sharepoint prompt userA have checked out the page

In one of site collection at our SP2013 farm, we have "SharePoint Server Publishing" site feature and "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" site collection feature activated.
One of user (UserA) create a page in a page library. The new page is marked as "checked out by UserA". It is fine.
Then UserA open the page -> edit page -> key in something and "save". Then the page prompt him "The file Pages/subfolder/test001.aspx has been modified by i:0#.w|test\userA on 8Aug2014 xx:xx:xx" and ask him to choose "Leave
this page" or "say at this page". The date time is exactly the time he was editing the page.
Whatever he choose will save the page and return to "View" mode (non-edit mode).
It is not the only problem. When userA want to edit the same page again and save, it prompt him that "The page could not be saved because your changes conflict with recent changes made by another user. If you continue, your changes will be lost."!
When userA choose continue or "check out". Follow screen show up:
What can we do? In summary, userA cannot edit a page because userA have checked out! We have tried for different users have exactly same issue.

We are having the same problem, the one thing we have found is if we use the Save Icon on the top right hand side of the page in the ribbon (next to follow), that Save works just fine. What is causing the issue is when trying to use the Save Icon on
the left hand side of the ribbon that has the dropdown options to 'Save', 'Save and Keep Editing' or 'Stop Editing'. It doesn't matter if you just click on the main Icon or choose any of the dropdown options, they all cause issues with the pages.
Thoughts?

HI,
WA_FIELDCAT-COL_POS = 4.
WA_FIELDCAT-TABNAME = 'GT_OUT'.
WA_FIELDCAT-FIELDNAME = 'DATAINS2'.
WA_FIELDCAT-SELTEXT_M = 'POD'.
WA_FIELDCAT-EDIT = 'X'.
APPEND WA_FIELDCAT TO I_FIELDCAT.
CLEAR WA_FIELDCAT.
WA_FIELDCAT-EDIT = 'X'.
I USED THIS ONE BUT IAM GETTING SYNERROR WA_FIELDCAT DONT HAVE THIS COMPONENT.

Hiding fields in ALV report

Hi all
In ALV Report .The user must be able to adapt the result list (add hidden fields, remove columns) and save the layout as layout. The user must be able to select this layout when executing the selection.
the user must hide the fields and can diplay when ever he needs in ALV report

U have to use no_out = 'X'.

How to add a search help for a field in alv?

HI!Everyone ,
i want to add a search help created by myself for one field in alv,
and i want to use this function "HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE".
can anyone help me ?

for example, there is a field 'UNAME' IN Structure 'STU_S',
i want to add a search help for 'UNAME'.
the 'UNAME' is not users in SAP R/3 , i want to add some data by myself or from a table .

Printing edited photos on my ipad and iphone camera roll using HP eprint app

I edited and saved photos on my ipad and iphone camera roll. When I use the HP eprint app to print the photos to my HP 5514 Photosmart printer, the edited photo that I select does not show up in the preview, (the original shows up not the saved edited version). I am stumped because in the photo book and on the camera roll the edited version is the only one visible. I don't know what the problem may be. Why is it reverting to the original?

I did some testing on my iPad and found that after you edit a pic in photos and save it, it will only show the edited version. However, if you go to edit the "edited" photo, you can "Revert to Original", which means it is not really saving the "edited" version, it just "remembers" what you have changed.
When you go into the HP ePrint app, it is only seeing the original, and not the "edited" version.
If you are printing over local wifi (using Airprint) you can actually print the "edited" photo directly from the Photos App by touching the arrow towards the top of the screen and choosing Print.
If you are wanting to use the ePrint app, and you are not on your local wifi (through ePrint), you can email the "edited" photo, save the "edited" photo from the email and it will be just the "edited" version. The old psuedo "edited" version will still be there also.
