    Hello friends.
    I'm in need of your help.
    I need to Hide or Disable the EDIT button you see in the screen:
    Does anyone know how and where I can do this ?
    I already tried creating an enhancement in webdynpro component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT in CNR_VIEW but I don't know how to get the Edit Button to disable or hide it.
    If you have any idea of how to do it, please share.
    Thank you,

    Hi Ricardo,
    if you need to display/Hide Button based on some condition then put the logic in Method else put by default as below code in method:

  • Sql developer 3.0.02 create unit_test_repos cannot log in

    I create a user like the way of "Performing a Unit Test of Your PL/SQL in Oracle SQL Developer 2.1" (http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/11g/r2/prod/appdev/sqldev/sqldev_unit_test/sqldev_unit_test_otn.htm), but cannot log in, when test it says"Ora-01017 invalid username/password;log defined".
    but I use the same way in Sql developer 2.1, the connection was created successfully.
    I create the user use 3.0.02 again, and connect use 2.1 it still this error:"Ora-01017 invalid username/password;log defined";
    I create the user use 2.1 again, and connect use 2.1 or 3.0.02, it's OK.

    Hello Jiri!
    this is because of SQL Developer does not support "order by" over external tables.
    In general it is not disabled in SQL developer to use it for external tables but due to unknown reason execution of select including "order by" clause over external table generates ORA-00600 error.
    SQL Developer is saving all used "order by", "filter" settings (and many others) to special cache (user specific XML file) and this setting is used next time you open specific object - table.
    It means when you apply "sorting" on external table
    - oracle generates ORA-00600
    - used "order by" is stored by SQL Developer into cahce XML file
    - ...and you cannot open this table from your SQL developer anymore
    How to correct it:
    - go to SQL developer cache folder (something like C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\SQL Developer)
    - try to find file "*GridSettings.xml" which contains this bad cache information
    there are usually tons of GridSettings.xml files
    -1134293461GridSettings.xml
    -1134293492GridSettings.xml
    -1134293523GridSettings.xml
    you have to find file which contains your specific extenal table name like...
    <uniqueName>SELECT * FROM "SCHEMANAME"."EXTERNAL_TABLE"</uniqueName>
    - find "sortClauses" tag
    <sortClauses>
    <Item class="java.lang.String">3 asc</Item>
    <Item/>
    </sortClauses>
    - you can now edit/correct content of this file/tag or just delete it completely
    - or you can easily delete complete cache folder - BUT in this case all specific user setting can be deleted!!!
    - then your table is accessible again :-)

  • SQL Developer 3.0.02 & External table

    Hello all,
    I encountered an interesting error while working with SQL Developer. I created external table mapped on data file in csv format. Everything works fine up to moment I double clicked the table header of the first column to make data sorting. Since I am not able to see table data even if the SQL Developer has been restarted.
    In the 'Data Editor - Log' window I can see the text as follows:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [rworupo.1], [17], [10], [], [], [], [], []
    When I open SQL view of that table I can see:

  • No data in view in SQL Developer

    When trying to run the following code in SQL Developer the return values from the statement are all NULL.
    SELECT DECODE(paaf.assignment_type, 'E', hr_general.decode_lookup('EMP_CAT', paaf.employment_category),
                                        'C', hr_general.decode_lookup('CWK_ASG_CATEGORY', paaf.employment_category))
    FROM per_all_assignments_f paaf
    WHERE SYSDATE BETWEEN paaf.effective_start_date AND paaf.effective_end_date;However when the same query in SQL*Plus and Toad the return values are correct.
    After some rooting about in the Oracle eTRM I found that the function decode_lookup was using a cursor that took data from the view hr_lookup.
    When I looked at this view through SQL Developer there is no data. However when querying the view in SQL*Plus there are > 51K rows.
    Can anyone shed light on why this is? I have tried it on SQL Developer 1.2 and 1.5 EA3. I am working on Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0 with eBusiness Suite 11.5.10.2
    Thanks,
    James.

    I understand that SQL Developer takes it's NLS settings from Preferences - Database - NLS Parameters. What I was not aware of is that when SQL Developer is run for the first time the NLS Parameters seem to be populated from the settings on the OS of the PC it is running on. To test that this was the case I did the following
    I work on a Windows XP system with Regional Options - Standards and Formats and Regional Options - Location set with English (United Kingdom) and United Kingdom respectively.
    I unzipped two clean SQL Developer instances (both Version 1.2.1). The first instance I first ran under my current PC set up without importing settings from a previous installation. The Preferences - Database - NLS Parameters - Language and Preferences - Database - NLS Parameters - Territory had been populated with English and United Kingdom.
    I then changed the Regional Options on the OS to English (United States) and United States and ran the second instance of SQL Developer for the first time, again without importing settings. In this instance of SQL Developer the NLS Parameters were populated with American and America.
    When the first instance of SQL Developer was the checked under these OS settings the NLS Parameters were still English and United Kingdom.
    I was not aware this was the case and, if my test is correct, it seems to contradict the SQL Developer user guide http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10405_01/doc/appdev.120/e10406/intro.htm#CHDBHCAG

  • How to disable Automatic UPPER case in SQL Developer

    Hi,
    I am using SQL developer more than two years. I have recently downloaded SQL Developer 2.1.1.64.
    My problem is, while editing the package body when move to newline the previous line get converted to UPPER case automatically. But, I don't want to get all the code I have written to be converted to UPPER case.
    I have tried all possible preference changes but no change. Can you please help me how disable the case change in SQL developer.
    Looking forward your response.
    Thanks,
    Prashantha Konkodi

    You can always define how you want to format the SQL or normal text by using the keyboard CTRL+' to manage text/keyword case to all UPPERCASE, Initcap, or all lowercase.
    The system remembers your settings and will keep the text the same format in future.

  • Re: SQL-Developer Freezes Every Time I Click on a Trigger to Edit it

    Yes: SQL-Developer Freezes Every Time I Click on a Trigger just to edit it, even though the trigger is disabled. How do I get SQL-Developer to stop freezing-up and making me re-boot every time I even just click on a Trigger to select it, so that I can then rt.-click and edit it. Sometimes, SQL-Developer won't freeze immediately upon selecting the Trigger with my mouse, it will allow me to rt.-click to bring up the pop-up menu where I then try to click on "Edit" so I can change the same trigger, & as soon as I choose "Edit" SQL-Developer freezes-up -- must reboot.
    Also, one time I dropped a Trigger altogether in SQL-Developer, not just disabled it, but SQL-Developer was still launching the supposedly "dropped" trigger (the trigger also no longer appeared as an item under "Triggers" tree view) when I ran
    a SQL Script that did INSERTs: this supposedly dropped Trigger that no longer appeared anywhere in SQL-Developer was still executing (I could tell because I was getting ERROR MESSAGES in the Messages box) and the Trigger that I had executed the DROP command on from within SQL-Programmer really was only dropped and stopped executing after I re-booted. Can you help me?
    My immediate problem is the one above though. Do I need to create a Schema-Level Trigger to disable or drop all Triggers when I first logon (triggered by my logon system event), and then they will "CREATE" properly and stop freezing up and acting weird?

    Sorry, the above thread should have been a "new" post, not a reply post.

  • I cannot Disable a constraint in SQL Developer

    Here is my issue:
    I have created a table already named practice1.
    Using SQL Developer PL/SQL try to run a loop as following:
    DECLARE
    COUNTER1  NUMBER(2);
    BEGIN
    COUNTER1 := 30;
    ALTER TABLE practice1
    DISABLE  CONSTRAINT PRK1;
    LOOP
    COUNTER1 := 30;
    INSERT INTO PRACTICE1
    VALUES (COUNTER1, 'test7', 8, 9);
    EXIT WHEN  COUNTER1 >26;
    END LOOP;
    END;
    In other words I Insert the COUNTER1 variable value as Primary Key in the tables field1 column.
    I run the script successfully without the ALTER TABLE DISABLE CONTSRAINT.. command.
    Everytime I run it I had to increase the starting value of Variable COUNTER1 so it will not attempt to insert a duplicate pre-existed value in Primary Key.
    Then I decided to insert the command ALTER TABLE DISABLE CONSTRAINT in order to not have to worry to change the starting value.
    I am able to disable the constraint by using the same command in isolation . If I run it as part of the script as above I get the following error:
    Error report:
    ORA-06550: line 5, column 1:

    I would appreciate any suggestions.
    Thank you.

    Your question has NOTHING to do with sql developer.
    Mark this question ANSWERED and repost it in the SQL and PL/SQL forum.
    https://forums.oracle.com/community/developer/english/oracle_database/sql_and_pl_sql
    The problem is that you CANNOT execute DDL directly in PL/SQL. You need to use dynamic SQL to execute DDL within PL/SQL.
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER TABLE . . .';
    If you need more help use the correct forum as shown above.

  • How to disable check for updates in sql developer 3.2

    Is there a possibility to disable or remove the "Check for Updates" option in SQL Developer 3.2.2 version.
    I have tried using the below AddVmMOption but it is not working
    AddVMOption -Dide.noextensions=oracle.ide.webupdate
    AddVMOption -Dide.cfu.autoskip=true

    Hi,
    If you are referring to Help -> Check for Updates, I'm not certain if that is possible.
    If you mean Tools -> Preferences -> Extensions, just uncheck the Automatically Check for Updates box. Doing that is standard procedure for improving the tool's launch performance.

  • Can't connect to Express Edition 11g by sql developer

    hello,
    i installed the 11g edition and try to connect to it by sql developer. it didn't work, then I noticed there was an older version (10g) on the laptop. So i removed both, and installed the 11g version, but still it doesn't work.
    My laptop runs on 32-bit windows 7 so I got the 32bit installer of 11g.

    I don't quite understand the mention of hostname related to sqlplus, do you have several Oracle installations? On a machine with Oracle XE you can normally select "Run Sql Command Line" and you are prompted like this:
    SQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.2.0 Production on To Nov 10 23:47:26 2011

  • SQL Developer and Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, Connection Problem

    I am using SQL Developer version 1.2.1 and am connecting to a 10g database on a windows xp.
    Up until today there have been no problems with the connection. When I tried to connect to the database and have not been able to.
    The error states that "...listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS; listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor..."
    Also tried to log into the database home page but page doesn't load...

    I'd bet the database is down.
    Try a login through sqlplus ("Run SQL Command Line" in the Oracle Express Edition 'Start' menu).
    Do a CONN / AS SYSDBA
    If you get a message about database or memory area not available, try STARTUP.
    If that doesn't work, you are best off in the General Database forum or the Express Edition forum.
    You'll probably get the most expert response in General Database, but the Express Edition forum can be gentler on newbies (as it is more accepted that questioners are not and do not have access to full-time DBAs).
