Edit Dashboard option in OBIEE 11.1.1.6 not visible

Hi all
Recently i installed OBIEE 11.1.1.6 with BIAPPS 7.9.6.4. I couln't see edit dashboard option in any of the dashboards..
i am logging with weblogic user only.. I tried with creating diff user's also.. even then i am unable to view that..
please help me out asap?

Hi if you can created new users and groups u should assign the application roles to that users and groups..
And u should give the Administrator privileges to that group.Then only you have the read and write options....

Problem is with security.
With which user are you logging in.Check the security for that user make his access to full control.

For Administrator, under Manage Interactive Dashboards link, the "Create Interactive Dasboard" button is not visible. Where should it be configured.

Unable to Edit Dashboards for Weblogic admin

HI,
I just installed and configured OBIEE 11.1.1.6.9 and OBIA 7.9.6.4
I was trying to edit Dashboard but when i click page Options (small icon top right handside) i did found 'Edit Dashboard' further when to catalog and tried to edit Analysis & prompt a message appeared 'Access Denied'. as it shows its a privileges issues for user. But while installation i created one user 'weblogic' and this user is having all privileges i checked in console & em. so my question is how i can edit these analysis or how i can fix this issue.
OBIEE version: 11.1.1.6.9
OBIA: 7.9.6.4
OBIEE & OBIA O.S: windows 2008 server SP2

1.Stop the Presentation Server.
2.Backup the instanceconfig.xml file at [middleware_home]/instances/instance1/config/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1/instanceconfig.xml
3.Under the 'Catalog' section, add the 'Recover' tag. For Example:
<Catalog>
<UpgradeAndExit>false</UpgradeAndExit>
<UpdateAccountGUIDs>Recover</UpdateAccountGUIDs>
</Catalog>
4.Start the Presentation Server. It will perform a recovery and then after some time shutdown.
5.Remove the tag.
6.Start the Presentation Server again

Unable to Edit Dashboard as Administrator (Merged RPD/Catalog)

Hi,
I am having trouble editing a dashboard that another developer created that was merged into our main RPD/Catalog.
It is one subject area (same DB schema), and one presentation catalog folder. I copied the RPD objects into our main RPD, copied the folder and *.atr file into the main Catalog.
When I log into answers, all of the newly added dashboards show up properly. However, if I click on Page Options, I have no link to Edit Dashboard - even logged in as Administrator. If I go to Manage Presentation Catalog, this folder does not have a security lock (permissions) icon next to it. If I go to Manage Interactive Dashboards, the place where permissions icon normally is shows a red cross instead.
I checked the OS level permissions for the catalog files to make sure they look the same as other dashboard/report files.
Any ideas on this?

Buttons not showing up for Writeback option in OBIEE 11g

Hey guys,
I'm struggling with the writeback option in OBIEE 11g.
I've made all the required changes as per the documentation.
1) Making the column writeable in BMM layer.
2) Giving the column and the table read/write permission in the presentation layer.
3) writing the query in the xml for insert and update and have put it in the right path.
4) Modified the instance config and included the <Lightwriteback>true</Lightwriteback> in it.
5) Enable the column with writeback property.
6)Enabled the table view property with writeback.
However when i untick the table toggle mode,it makes the column editable but without any update button.
whereas if i tick the table toggle mode it neither makes the column editable nor does it shows up any button.
Could somebody help me out with the solution.

Anirban,
You need to make sure that 'Write Back to Database' privilages have been correctly setup for you. If you have admin rights on the catalog, you should be able to check and modify it under Security > Manage Privilages on the Administration screen.

i have a report in dashboard and for displaying data in that report i have used custom format of columns.
but when i an using print pdf option , it is not retaining custom format of columns of report.
please suggest any workaround to me for this problem.

I think it is expected behavior. Try out saving as html and then saving it as pdf.

Based on your description, you want to disable the edit report option from SharePoint 2013 PowerView Dasboard.
There is a workaround:
You can change the permission of the report. You should upload the report to a SharePoint library and set a user have read-only permission of the report. When the user open the report and save the changes, it will have error. The user cannot edit the report.

How to realize this reqirement in the dashboard prompt in OBIEE 10G?

I have a new query about dashboard prompt in OBIEE 10g..
All below is needed to Operator in the dashboard prompt.
We have 4 columns, 4 columns using multi-select type need to constrain together and need to show value which is related with product..
e.g.
Now I display "REGION" column using multi-select in Control, and I need to show data which product name is not null. After I add "where product name is not null" in the SQL results in Show, then I cannot use the Constrain box.. and I cannot set any variable if I using multi-select type..
So anybody have any idea about this?

Lightroom - 'edit in' option no longer working

I have LR version 5.7 and Elements 12.1. I am running a Mac with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. When using LR the 'edit in' option used to start up Elements automatically. It no longer does this. I have checked the preferences are set correctly in LR. I have deleted the plist files in the library for both LR and Elements and reopened both programmes to re-establish new plist files but all to no avail. Can anyone help please?LR

Hi, I followed these instructions, see link below, and reset my LR preferences, and now the "edit-in" PS is working again. At least it did for two files so far. Hopefully this will be the fix. You should try it too.

Edit Report option freezes and Formatting Vanishes in EPM 10.0

Hi,
While creating a report in EPM 10.0 which i have selected as 'Use as Input form', i created Active X buttons and did dynamic formatting as well. All seems to be fine but as i Close and Reopen, or i Refresh the template, formatting vanishes and Edit Report option also gets disabled.
I am working on EPM 10.0 SP07 Patch 02. Please guide me on this.

This is probably happening because the report/input schedules is not getting connected. Please check the connections once.
Also if you had named the report in "Edit Report" earlier, say for example "Sales Report", once the report is open you should be able to see this name on the EPM context pane, right side under Current Report: Connected to "Your Model" and below that in the drop down the default selection should be "Sales Report". This means that the report is connected and the Edit Report option is active.

"Edit Report" option getting disabled on saving the report in BPC 10.0

I have created input schedules using "Edit Report" functionality in BPC 10.0 NW, added a few buttons and corresponding VB code and tested the input schedule by sending data and running data manager package. Everything is working fine. After that I saved the input schedule and closed the Excel. On reopening the excel Add-in and the input schdule, the "Edit report" option becomes disabled and refresh and other functionalities available for the report get disabled. I have faced this issue a couple of times. Has anybody else faced this issue? Can someone let me know the resolution to this problem?

"Edit in" option missing after upgrading to Adobe Lightroom 5.5

Now when I right click on an image in lightroom I'm unable to see the 'edit in' option. I have manually added Photoshop CC (2014) to the external editor. This hasn't changed anything.

I would like to create something to users can create and insert folders and items in content area without using the edit folder option.They would have a form to include the name of the file and the name.i would like to do this for the end users can insert files more easily.
