Edit The Logon Page for anonymous user

HIII frnds.
I am working on concept of anonymous user. For this I have created a Anon user group and it is working succesfully . Now i have to design a Logon page for this group of users.
Pls anybody help me out , becoz i have no idea that how to edit a logon page for a particular user .

Hi
The portal provides a form of anonymous logon with u2018namedu2019 anonymous users. Named anonymous users are users that exist either in the user data store or as service users. You configure the names of these users in the UME properties. These users are automatically assigned to the group Anonymous Users. You can assign roles containing anonymous content to the users individually or to the group Anonymous Users.

Personalize the home page for every user.

Dear CRM guru's,
I would like to personalize the home page for all users by hiding some of the sections(My open tasks and Alerts). I don't want the users to enable these 2 sections when they try to personalize the page. Can you please suggest me how I can achieve this.

This is very easy. The homepage is another view in an application component.
For the sales home page, you would go to application WCC_SLS_HOME and configure the view WCC_SLS_HOME/SalesHome.
You can then restrict what applications show up on that home page.
You just need to find out what "home" application your role is using and configure that one accordingly. Most follow the WCC_*_HOME pattern.

Cannot open application Page for anonymous user

I have a share point site that allow for anonymous .
I create an application page that inherits from "UnsecuredLayoutsPageBase".
When I open the page as anonymous user , the result is
"The web page cannot be found"
When I lo-gin to the site , the page opened successfully.
So how can Open application Page for anonymous ?

Keep track of the shopping cart for anonymous user

Hi,
I have the following problem on b2c site. Anonymous user can browse through the site and adds items to the shopping cart. At the checkout the login page is prompted, however login page is located on the different application server where the actual login happening. After that control is returned to my server where I need to create login object and associate the shopping cart with it. My problem is how to maintain shopping cart without losing it.
I came with that solution : On checkout attach shopping cart to context object with unique key, then pass this unique key to the remote server, then remote server passes it back to me together with the login id, then I create new session and attach shopping cart to it after retrieving shopping cart from the context.
I hope it will work, however I think there is a standard solution for this type of the problems. Any ideas, hints, suggestions are strongly appreciated.
We use WebLogic 9.0 and Servlets.

Do you have a problem keeping track of the shopping cart for a user who is logged in? No, I didn't think so. So give the anonymous user an internal name, just for your own convenience. Then keep track of the shopping cart for the user with that name. You already know how to do that.

Get Support at Logon Page for ABAP User Management.

Just want know that is it possible to have Get Support feature at Portal Logon page when portal is configured as User Management of Application Server ABAP as Data Source.
Basically, the password reset functionality should work from Get Support link when Porta UME is User Management of Application Server ABAP as Data Source.
If Possbile, please let me know what configuration needs to be done..

Administrator: edit the customized pages from every user...

Here is a situation:
Every user has a page. Users have my page as HOME PAGE. That is a setting i did on the properties from the user group. The basic of every users page is my page (as set in the properties of that user group), but all users has addept it to their saticfaction. So a lot of different pages, but based upon my page. They only customized it. Now, I want , as administrator, to have control of all the different pages. Via the navigator i can go to the User Pages and then click on the user i prefer. But then i do not see their page. I see nothing. So by the time they changed their passwords, i cannot see and edit their sites anymore. But I want that.
You know how?

I created a test package and then assigned the SAP delivered Benefits process to the test package content. It worked great. However, I ran into a problem when I deleted the test package. IT DELETED THE SAP DELIVERED BENEFITS PROCESS as well. Is there any way I can get it back?

I now only see 4 items listed:

Other Information
Payroll Information
Personal Information
Is there any way I can get the benefits process restored to the way it was delivered? I realize now that I should copy all of these objects to my own folder and play with them there.

How to get the home page for a user using Pl/sql code ?

I have a pl/sql procedure which runs after a form submission on a dynamic page. At end of completion of the procedure I want to send user to his/her home page. I am trying to write at the end of procedure to redirect the user to the home page. How do I do that ? What is way to redirect to a page using pl/sql and how do I know the user home page url ?

How do I edit the default page for when I open a new tab?

I'd like to know how to set which page appears when I open a new tab. I've already set my home page to what I'd like, but I'm having trouble setting which page appears once I open new tabs while I'm already online.

You can do that by using an add-on such as:
* NewTabURL - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/newtaburl
* New Tab Homepage - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage
Another way of opening the home page in a new tab is to middle click on the home button in the navigation toolbar.

WPC for Anonymous user

Dear All,
We are on SAP NW 7.3 and trying to provide the WPC page for anonymous users.
Have designed the WPC content, connected to a role and gave the role to anonymous user, but when we go to portal
http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/anonymous it gives a logon page. To resolve the issue have gone thru all the posts and recommendations but still the same error.
Tried to follow the blog 'Webpage composer Anonymous User access' but in NW 7.3 can find the PCD location 'WebpageComposer', - but in templates we have the WPC Templates and have given the required permissions
Also the security zones are changed.
Has it something to do with the 'Staging Area' folder (Navigating through the role Accesible Area Management -> content Editor), because when we create any new Area/Page(WPC Area/Page) it creates the same in this folder, which is present as a KM Folder. This folder does not allow to set the permissions (Accesible Area Management -> Content Library -> Staging Area -> Details -> Permissions)
Your valuable suggestions would really help me to resolve this issue.

Got the reply from SAP to perform the below steps and its working fine for us.. just in case any one of you needs this info.
1. Add the "authentication scheme" property to the WPC design time page template: a. Go to "System Administration" ' "Content Model Management" ' "Property Classification" b. Under "Object Type" select "Page" c. Under "Template" select "WPC Design Time Page" d. Under "Available Properties" locate "Authentication Scheme" and add it to the "Selected Properties" 2. Go to the Area Management Role and locate the area and the page that you would like to be available to anonymous users 3. Set End User permissions for "Anonymous" group on the area 4. Publish the page(s) and the area 5. Navigate to "Content Administration". Make sure the "Area Management"role isn't open in some other tab or browser window 6. In the Portal Content Catalog, locate the role which is available to anonymous users and has the WPC area connected to it. 7. Open the role, open the connection 8. For each page under the workset (area): a. Open the page b. For each iview and page under the page, open the iview/page and navigate to its properties: i. Locate the "Authentication Scheme" property and change it to "anonymous" ii. Save the object iii. For pages, open the page and perform the same process for each iview under the page iv. Save

How do I set the default welcome page for PUBLIC user

i'm using -
Oracle 9i Database
Oracle 9ias Portal Release 2
QUESTION => how do I set the default welcome page for the PUBLIC user.
i did the following to achieve this -
1. logged into portal
2. clicked on builder
3. clicked on administer tab
4. selected PUBLIC user in the Portal User Profile portlet
5. went to the preferences tab
6. in the default home page selected a custom page group
7. logged out of portal
8. open a new browsere session
9. type the portal URL and i get the login page ....??
i'm unable to understand this behavior ... shouldn't i be getting the page group that i set for the PUBLIC user in step 6 above ....
the second QUESTION is => when the user logs out he/she should see the PUBLIC page set in step 6 above ... but, instead the user sees a page that is as follows -

The SSO Server (orasso) checkmark

Hi,
The sequence of operation you are doing to set the home page for public users is correct. You are getting the login screen as the "custom page group" selected as "home page" has not been granted to public.
Also, while logging-out, it is normal behaviour to get the screen where it shows the list of partner applications from where user has been logged-out. When you click on "Return" button, you will get to the "home page" set above.

WPC content for anonymous user

Dear SDNites
We have recently started a project in which we are using Web Page Composer(WPC) for web content development. We have configured the WPC content for anonymous users. After the configurations, anonymous users could access this content without entering any user id and password. But after the restart of the portal, it started prompting login screens even for the anonymous users.We have checked all the required configurations and these seem fine to me. Can you please help me on how to resolve this issue?

Accessing xml forms for anonymous user

Hi all,
Is it possible in any way to use the "news" made with XML-Forms on an External Facing Portal?
I have created one page in XML form builder and assigned that page for anonymous user. Initially that page is visible to anonymous user. If i click any rendered list item it's asking Authentication-Information. Isn't it possible to let them read the News without authentification?
i have set all permissionsm for anonymous users?
How can i solve that problem.

Hi,
this is possible. Please have a look at note 837898 first. But this note doesn't solve it completly.
By default the xmlformpreview-servlet which is used to display the news is not accessible for anonymous users. Try this:
- Create an iview in the pcd (any locaation) from par com.sap.km.cm.par and component xmlformpreview
- set the authentication scheme to anonymous
- give anonymous users permissions in the permission configuration of the iView
- open the iView in Preview Mode and copy the url of the iview from /irj on (something like /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fxmlformpreview)
- Go to System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Mangagement --> Global Services (switch to advanced mode here) --> URL Generator service: set the iView-URL as the value of the "Preview Servlet" --> save
- test it

How to deliver dashboard page for each user using IBOT.

I have setup SA_SYSTEM and able to deliver the reports to indivisaul users,
Now I want to send the dashboard page for indivisual user..
How we can impliment this.
My IBOT run for all users and deliver the mail...similarly we want for dashboard page.

I have created session variable and used it in default prompt and used a presentation variable.
My report is refering this presentaion varable..
I can see the log ..reports are generating for each MD's Now.
I am getting PDF in mail also but error.

Login Page coming for Anonymous User

Hi All,
we have configured anonymous user for our portal. Created a role for anonymous access - added pages and iViews under that. All the iViews and pages are modified with authentication scheme property to Anonymous.
Now when we access the portal with the url http://host:port/irj its showing the login box in the top part of the page and in the bottom part its showing the anonymous role which we created.
Let me tell you what we have done...
Created role, iViews for Anonymous role, set the authentication property to 'Anonymous'.
In Visual Admin-> Server-> Services-> UME Provider set the variable ume.login.anonymous_user.mode to 1.
Variable ume.login.basicauthentication to 1.
Variable ume.login.guest_user.uniqueids to Guest.
Then we have updated the index.html file under <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\j2ee\cluster\serverX\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root .. we changed
<b><body onload="location.replace('portal' + document.location.search)"></body></b>
to <b><body onload="location.replace('servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.anonymous' + document.location.search)"></body></b>
But now when a guest user accesses the portal http://host:port/irj it gived the strange screen (logon + content page) as I described earlier.
Please let us know where are we missing...

1 . I have created a iView and set the authentication scheme anonymous.
2. Also I created a role and added the iview to a role.
3. The role has only 1 iview. The entry pt is yes for the iview
4. The role has permissions of end user for anonymous user.
5 I checked the masthead iview also.. It aslo has authentication scheme anonymous
When I try accessing the iView in the form <http/https>://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fmyfolder!2fmyiView
I am able to view it without any login..
But when the url is accessed <http/https>://<server>:<port>/irj/portal/anonymous
I see a login page in the Detailed navigation..
Please help me solve this problem ..
