Editing an Adobe Forms Central form

I have an old form created in Adobe Forms.  How do I get into edit mode?

Hi,
Sign into FormsCentral, select the form and double click on the form.  Your form will open and you are in editing mode
If you have imported a PDF form (say an old Acroform or static XFA form) into FormsCentral, then you will not be able to edit the form in FormsCentral. You'll have to use the original Adobe application that you used to create the form, and you'll have to re-import your form to FormsCentral.
Hope this answers your question,
Thanks
Lucia

How can I close a category in the form central form without closing it as error?

I'm still not sure I follow - let me see if this is right.  You want to have users signing up for something using a FormsCentral form and then when something is full you'd like that section to show as "Closed" or full so nobody else can sign up for that particular event/day/time?  If that is the goal FormsCentral does not have any logic to close certain portions of the form.

  • How to edit a Forms Central form in PDF

Using Adobe Acrobat XI which i normally use to create forms, I am able to open the Forms Central PDF that I created. However it says it is secured and I can't edit it.  Is there a way to create a PDF from Forms Central that isn't secured?  Any other solution?

  • Modifying a PDF created from an Adobe Forms Central form.

I've created a PDF from an Adobe Forms Central online form (Create PDF from web page). I was surprised that all of the text fields were created for me, but was happy that I may not have to reverse engineer everything.
However the layout for the form is for a web-based submission and not really the right size for a PDF that I can attach in an email, potentially for printing. I'd like it to be printable at 8.5X11 if possible. There are also a few aspects of it that I would like to remove since it has instructions and the button for online submission. I want people to have the option of printing or filling out the form, saving it, and replying with it as an attachment.
Is it possible to modify the PDF at this point to reduce its size? Can I remove the instructions on what to do as well as the submit button, especially while saving the background coloring? It seems like there is quite a bit of wasted space with the headers/footers too. At 8.5X14, it still hangs over into page 2.
The form can be found at: https://adobeformscentral.com/?f=oEsnPs*6J8xiF7XlraAsLA
Any help would be appreciated, since I'm not the one who created the form and don't have any templates or anything that were used.

Steve, if you have access to the form in Formscentral, you can temporarily add a second page in Formscentral.  Go to the place you want a page break, and click on the + button on the left top of the field where you want the break, and click on the "Page break".  Now when you go to the HTML form it should show you only one page, with a next button to go to the second page.  You could then copy the URL into Acrobat's "Create PDF" and get tha page.  Then click on the next button in the HTML to go to the second page.  You should be able to create the second page from that one too, and then combine the 2 pages in your PDF.  When you're done you could remove the page break back in Formscentral.
    Hope that helps

  • Submitting pdf version of forms central form multiple times

I have a form I created in Adobe Forms Central and it is great.  It is our critique form that reviewers fill out after they have seen a high school musical.  I send three reviewers to each musical and because the questions for each musical are the same, there will be 3 reviewers filling out the form for 50+ musicals this year.  The critique is long and requires some time for them to fill out, so I downloaded a pdf version of the form.  The problem I am now having is that the submit button on the pdf form is NOT working.  Which defeats the purpose of creating the form and having a forms central account in the first place.  Do I need to download a pdf for EACH reviewer for EACH musical?  Having to manually enter the information into the forms central responses tab is very frustrating when I don't see where the problem is.  Please help.  Thank you!

This should work. You don't need to download multiple PDF files. You should read this FAQ: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653
Make sure everyone is using Adobe Reader and not some other viewer.
If you are using Adobe Reader and its not working plesae send the PDF to [email protected]

  • Converting forms central form to PDF

How do I convert my forms central registration form I created in the software itself to a PDF format.  I have called tech support for forms central and they are never able to assist me or even understand me.  Today I was told they are not trained in forms central.  I paid $200 for this program and I would think it would come with tech support. Please assist as soon as possible.  My association is hosting a workshop very soon and I need these forms.  Thank you.

    Good day,
I've moved your thread to the FormsCentral forum.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with our support team and I'll definitely look into the case logged with them to see what feedback I can provide.
If I understand you correctly, you've created a registration form in FormsCentral and you'd like to make a PDF version of this same form?
We currently do not support creating a PDF form. This has been a very common request (we are the Acrobat team so it isn't a surprising one ). PDF form creation is defintely on our roadmap this year.
If I've misinterpreted your question, please let me know.

  • Forms central form and Ipad.

    Hi
I have created a form in forms central ( paid subscription) and emailed the link to a colleague who wishes to use the form on her Ipad.
My colleague can open the form and fill in the fields but is unable to select a file to attach to the form. On selecting  - select file- the ipad opens up the option to " Take photo or video or choose existing ". What needs to happen for the ipad to show the pdf's  available for upload.
My colleague has adobe reader mobile on her Ipad.
I have looked through forums but cannot get a clear answer.
Your help would be much appreciated

    Hi;
Unfortunately for now this is a limitation using iOS we are looking into.  At this time you can only attach image/video to the form in the attachment field on iOS.

  • Conversion of trial forms central forms to use with subscription license

Is there a way to access forms created in forms central on a different machine under a trial license on a new machine so the work can be continued?

    Hi;
    Certainly.
Assuming the forms are "online" all you need to do is sign into FormsCentral using the same AdobeID as you used to sign in for the trial on the previous machine.
However, if you were using the desktop FormsCentral application that comes with Adobe Acrobat XI and had created "local" forms you have two choices for how to move those.  You can either "Move Online" (signed into the same account, using a Basic or Plus level account so you can have more than 1 online form) and then those would be available from any machine you sign into the same account.  The second option is to "Export Design File" from the File menu (with the form open on the Design tab) which will save a design file (FCDT) that you can import into FormsCentral from any computer.
If you are not signed into FormsCentral using the desktop application then all forms you create and that you see in the My Forms tab are "local" and you would need to sign in to move those forms online, if you are signed into FormsCentral the "local" forms would show a computer icon by them where the online forms show a cloud icon:
    Thanks,

  • Print Forms Central form by user?

I created an online form using Forms Central. I would like to have my users be able to print their form out for their records but it seems there is no way to do this using Forms Central. Seems like there should be a "Print Form" button that could be placed near the submit button. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for you help.

  • Can I use forms Central forms on my own web server.

Or does it have to be business catalyst?

FormsCentral is a cloud service and the forms are hosted on our web servers. However, you can embed our forms on your website using the embed code we provide.
Also, FormsCentral is not related to Business Catalyst.

  • Adobe LiveCycle Designer compatible with Forms Central?

I have 50+ forms created by Adobe LiveCycle Designer.  Company upgraded to Forms Central and was told LiveCycle created forms are still editable in Forms Center.  But it will not allow me to edit any of my forms.  Need to recreate from scratch?  LiveCycle says password protected, so I changed to no security, and it will not accept my password.  Reset on Adobe.com but will not recognize it.  Now all of my forms are useless.  Any suggestions?

    Hi hutchiles,
It sounds as though you may have been given some bad information. Adobe FormsCentral doesn't support LiveCycle forms. Please see Convert LiveCycle Designer form into Form Central (Forms) for additional information.

  • How can I expand text fields in my PDF file which I built in Forms Central?

I'm working in Windows 7 and just created my first form in Forms Central. I have many text fields that I intended for the end user to be able to type as much information in them as necessary. I selected the "multiple lines of text" setting for each of these fields. I was told by someone at Adobe a while back when I was trying to decide on learning LiveCycle Designer or using the much more user-friendly Forms Central that the form fields would not automatically expand in the PDF form, but that I would be able to click or drag on the fields manually to expand them so that, ultimately, they could be printed with all the comments, for however many pages it would take. I've exported my Forms Central form to a PDF file. However, when I type multiple lines of text in the form fields I set up to be "unlimited," I cannot get the form fields to expand. What have I done wrong? Help, please!

We are dealing with a similar situation.  We have downloaded LiveCycle and created the form, but as we knew would happen, the changes that come for the content of the form are causing us to max our trial version, and as soon as the form needs a change outside of the trial time period, we are faced with the next dilemma, as Adobe doesn't offer to purchase a single license at a reasonable rate.  The only reason we wanted LiveCycle was for the dynamic field feature.  I plead with you to consider offering that feature in Forms Central.  The other issue that we are having is that our users sometimes need to paste a table into the expandable text field.  Is that even possible in Live Cycle?  We don't at this point need the web-based functioning that Live Cycle offers. Thank you.
