Editing Contacts list using programming.

Hi,
I need some help related to editing contacts using iPhone programming.
I have worked on adding a contact to the iPhone contact list using programming.
I am facing some difficulty to edit a selected contact person details using the program.
Requirement is
1) When the user clicks on the "Add" button a new contact needs to be added. After the contact is added the contact list should be displayed to the user -- This I am able to do
2) Once the user selects a contact then he should be able to EDIT the contact details --- I need some help on this pls.
Can anyone pls. help me in this regard.
It would of great help if you provide me some sample code for this pls.

The iPhone Will copy sim addresses automatically To the onboard memory and address book app however does NOT write back to the sim card . To edit sim card data you would need to put the sim back in a traditional traditional mobile phone.
The sim in the iphone is only used for network recognition.

How to create global Contact list using OSX Server Contacts Service?

My goal is to create a global contact list for the use of my department at work. We currently have 5 MBP's and a Mac Mini Server running OSX Server.
I have read so many forum posts and so called "solutions" that my head is completly spinning... like a record... right round... you get the idea.
I talked with Apple Support, and they are going to walk me through the process of changing our network from "local" to a legitimate internet network. Enabling DNS and setting up open directory are some of the steps, and all in all i was impressed with the support i received. We did a complete walkthough of all the steps it would take to change everything, without actually making any changes (because I could not shut down the company server at the time I called).
All that being said, I have been reading that actually creating and sharing a global contact list (and enabling specific user access for read/write for said list) is not as simple as Apple is telling me. I have read so many horror stories about not being able to edit the list, having duplicate lists and entries, and many other problems. It seems that this "Contact Service" is not really what its billed as.
Im just looking for someone who has this already setup to shine some light on my questions/concerns. I have scoured the internet for information, and either i'm looking in the wrong place or I just happen to have the WORST possible combination of OS X versions, server versions and so on. I would expect a company who charges such high prices for its products to design them to ACTUALLY WORK how they are advertised to work!

That sounds like one viable option...
The only problem is that I'm not sure how that would behave once the client MBP's are taken off site and connect to the network over a VPN or something of that sort.
I figure since we have purchased the Server App and it contains the Contacts Service, I should try and get it to work that way (through that specific service on the server app).
I would really prefer to not have to install yet another piece of software just to do something that should already work (or have the ability to be configured to work). None of us here are "Power Users", and we are all learning as we go and I got the role of the "IT Guy" when it comes to setting everything up. I'm dealing with lifetime Windows users here, and I feel there is a need to keep everything literally as easy as possible to use.
I will keep your solution in the front of my mind though, as it sounds like that may work. I am not exactly 100% familiar with the OSX Server or the Mac OS yet, and I'm not positive where you would add the users (I couldn't just sit down and do what you suggested, i unfortunately would need a step by step solution so I don't fuss up our entire system).
If you feel like giving a step by step, that would be awesome just for future reference or for anyone else having similar problems. If not, I don't blame you at all.

Nokia 6280 failure restoring contact list using pc...

I own a Nokia 6280. Firmware - v3.81
OS: Win XP.
I took the phone to my local phone provider(partner orange, from which I bought the device) to update the phones version. This action has deleted my entire contact list.
Beforehand I made a backup using the pc suite back up feature, and the backup went smoothly. Now, when I try to restore my info using the restore function in the backup(content copier),it restores everything except the contact list. Somewhat in the middle of the resotration of the contact list, an error jumps saying the connection to the phone has been list. A few seconds later the connection restores automatically.
I tried solving the problem using this thread:

But it didnt quite work
What can I do to solve this problem? How can I restore my contacts?
And if not, Is there a way to convert the Backup NBU file into Outlook VCF format?

I tried to recover the phone as soon as I recieved it from the phone provider with the new v3.81. That is , the manufacturer's settings were the default. Unfortunantly that didn't work.

Go to settings, select Icloud, turn on contacts tab, it should work now.

How to order the contact list using first name alphabetically

I have just imported my contact list and it has organised them elphabetically by the second name even if this does not correspond to a surname. for example kate Mobile comes up under M, and kate Home comes up under H. as most of my contacts are eiether stored as home or mobile this is useless.

Settings>mail, contacts & calendars> scroll to the bottom and choose both your sort and display order.
Though it would be better to just make one entry for Kate Doe and list all her phone numbers there.

Create/Edit Smart Lists using DIM

Hi!
Is it possible to create or edit a smart list for a classic Planning 9.3.1 app using DIM?
I already have a smart list in planning 9.3.1 which has a couple of entries (drop down members) but when I try to use DIM to add more smart list entries, I cannot even see the smart list listed as a dimension in DIM. i.e. when I import a Hyperion Planning Adapter and connect to a Planning application, all the dimensions show up in the target list but none of the smart lists show up. Is there another setting that I have to change for the classic world?
In BMPA this would be a smart list dimension but what about a classic application?
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

How do I import contact list using advanced template?

I used to be able to do this - but don't seem to be able to see the option with the new interface. I originally downloaded the advanced excel template - it had more fields than the basic template available on the 'Import contacts' page.

I believe you are trying to import contacts in CRM,
You just need to import the file through CRM > Customers > Advance Import.
If you want to import only Email, Title, First name , Surname and company name you can go with basic import , else use Import contacts(Advanced)

Editable ALV list

All,
In release 4.7 there is a possibility to create an editable ALV list (see programs BCALV_EDIT_xx).
Now I want to use this functionality also in release 4.6B but I don't find these programs.
Is this not possible in this release?
Has someone already programmed an editable ALV list in this release?

Hello Kris,
I must make myself clearer. There is a chance that these programs have got a slightly different name in 4.6B. So, just try and see if there's something in the development class SLIS through SE80.
If you have already done that, then you just have to copy the code from 4.7 and paste it in the 4.6B system. hopefully, there will not be any syntax errors.
Even if there are, When you have seen the program in 4.7, I don't see what the problem is in trying to write a similar program in 4.6B. It is the concept that matters, right ?

Use the zoom slider and the hand tool to zoom in onto the full image and to adjust the position.
Or make a second version of the photo in if and clip this version to the section with the face.

Contact list is no longer on my email pages. where did it go and how do I get it back?

contact list used to come up on the left side of the WRITE page. its gone!.. I know most addresses by heart, but still need to look some up, so have to click out, search for contact list.. find it, remember it, then go back into Write and enter..etc.. I just want it back where it belongs. on the lift side of the email page..

Now the entire tool bar is gone, the more I try the more I lose things. Thanks for trying. I cant even get it back the way it was. I am shutting down for the night now, and hope it corrects itself overnight. thanks but F9 didn't do a thing.. I had XP or years and at my age trying to learn a new one is NOT easy.. tks...
