Effective date for a record

Hello Experts,
I am working on a project, where there is a requirement to hide the record till the effective date is kicked-off. For example, if I create the product record on 20-Jun-08 and mention the effective date as 20-Jul-2008, the record should not be available for any searches, syndication, etc.
Please let me know, if MDM supports this kind of a feature or going to support in any future releases?
Note: We are using MDM 5.5 with SP6
Thanks,
Surendra

This is a very valid requirement for Material/Products business areas. We had a similar reqmnt earlier and what we did was to form a custom search application using Java API. So whatever parameters user passes to MDM, internally we also used to pass SYSDATE and compare this Sysdate to Effective Date. On this basis we could search only for valid products.
And its a pretty simple application. Developers can build this within a week max!
Hope this helps...

  • Effective date for a Formulation row

    Hi,
our customer manage in JDE the effective date for each formulation row.
I.e.: In a particular formulation a particular salt is valid from 1-gen-2013 to 1-feb-2013.
In the same formulation another salt is valid from 2-feb-2013 to 1-mar-2013.
Is there a way to handle this also in PLM4P? Are there other customer that have the same formula management?
I hope my question is clear.
    Thanks and regards.
    Stefano.

    Hi Stefano,
have you thought about using the Alternate Input Items to achieve this scenario? you can put description to clarify that the particular salt only available in certain amount of time. Hope this will be helpful.
    Thanks,

  • Some of the data for same records is going on to the next page in excel??

    Hello,
I designed a template in word with page setup orientation to Landscape, to get the Excel report output. Later when i preview the same in Excel with the Landscape page setup..the print preview is showing me with some of the data going out of the page set up.My font size for data in word I put is 8pt Times New Roman.
Basically..my requirement is to print the report in excel with the landscape page setup.
But some of the data for same records is going on to the next page in excel??
How do i prevent this from happening?
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hello
The blog suggested above is to set the output for a PDF document using RTF template. Whereas, my requirement is to get a excel output using RTF template, with data fitting directly with in the landscape orientation of EXCEL when printed.
Basically, the requirement is : When i run the report, the excel output should be sent to a printer with style 'Landscape' from apps?? But the problem is that i am not getting all the pagebreaks i put in the RTF template and also some of the data for the same records is not fitting in to the landscape orientation of the excel while it gets printed.
But when i run the same as a PDF everything is fine... ..But that's not my requirement...Please help!
    Thanks,

  • Effective Date for Yearly Increment

We are having different effective dates for Salary and Hourly employees for whom I have created two Guideline groups but under the same Comp Plan and Comp Review Item. I am getting the desired increase Dollar amount in Annual figure for Salary and hourly figure for Hourly. But, the effective date is also taking same as per the Comp Review Item. When I tried to add one more comp review item for Hourly, I am not able to do with the same combination of Plan and Review.
So, how can I get the respective effective date as we have only one place to define the same? Do I have to create one more Comp Plan for the Hourly employees?
    Thanks

I was thinking your issue was with applying the appropriate guidelines.. If it is only the effective date, you can implement the BAdI HRECM00_EFFDATE & pass back the new effdt in the method GET_DEFAULT_EFF_DATE.

  • Create id, update id with date for each record

    Hi,
Please give me brief idea or document for this concept:
I need create id, create date, update id, update date for each record inserted or updated in database (in few tables).
    1) how user id can be obtained?
    2) Is it better if i use views instead of tables for this?
    3) is it possible for each record?
Please show me complete scenario. a piece of code can also be helpful.
    thanx in advance.

  • BSI Rates Effective Date for Unemployment Insurance

    Hi SAP Payroll Gurus,
This is question regarding SAP BSI for US Payroll.
My question is regarding BTXRate table : BSI Company Experience Rate  in which a new record exist for each new rate specific to a Authority and there is a effective date on it example 2007/01/01 .
Now if we have put it the new rates very late i.e. let say in the middle of year 2007, then the system will run into retro in next pay and calculate the new rate effective from 2007/01/01 .
However if I dont want the system to calculate the new rate from 2007/01/01 ( because of the manual adjustments already made) , can i change the effective date of the new rate from the date of next payperiod i want and avoid the retro i.e. calculating the new rate for previous payperiods.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Jay Gandhi

The experience rates kept in BTXRATE are only used by US Tax Reporter.  The rates used in the calculation are maintained in BSI (Tax Factory Client).
If you already adjusted the taxes, then you can keep the old rate in BSI, so that retrocalculations don't change your taxes.  Adjust the BTXRATE to the new one, and when you run your reports, Tax Reporter will tell you how much you paid (based on the employee´s payroll results wagetype /410), and how much you should have paid (the base amount for unemployment wagetype /710 multiplied by the rate in BTXRATE).
    Hope this helps,

  • Dates for Interaction records and other Business Activities in IC (CRM2007)

    Hello,
I noticed that for interaction records or follow up business activities the dates are not displayed at all in the IC. Is there a way make the configured dates (in date profile) visible in the IC?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Hi Raghavendran,
I am facing the same problem. Other than Appointments,Tasks,Email and Interaction record I cannot create any other Activities.
I defined a new Transaction type assigned the category Misc but cannot create the Activity on WEBUI. As Raja suggested I have also assigned the Channel as WEBUI and ICWEBCLIENT but still does not work. Is there any Role specific customization that needs to be performed?
Please let me know if your issue is resolved and how you resolved it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Trying to get ending effective date for groups of rows

    Hi Everyone,
I've searched the forums, but I can't find a post that presents a problem quite like this.
I have some data that looks like this:
            ID_NUM     EFFECTIVE ALLOC_PERCENT   ACCT
           101 01-JUL-11            21   A1
           101 01-JUL-11            72   A2
           101 01-JUL-11             7   A3
           101 01-JUL-12            20   B1
           101 01-JUL-12            80   B2
           101 01-JAN-13            20   A1
           101 01-JAN-13            20   A2
           101 01-JAN-13            50   A3
           101 01-JAN-13            10   B1
           101 01-JUN-13            50   A1
           101 01-JUN-13            50   A2(note - I manually inserted blank lines for clarity)
Here's the logic: The rows represent a percentage allocation to the account number for the specified id number, for that effective date. A newer effective date supercedes previous ones, and if any row in the conceptual group is superceded, then they all are.
    I'm trying to find out the date when each group's effective period ended, and include that in the result set so that I can subsequently calculate the number of days a given row was effective; something like this;
      ID_NUM     EFFECTIVE END_DATE   ALLOC_PERCENT ACCT
           101 01-JUL-11 01-JUL-12             21 A1
           101 01-JUL-11 01-JUL-12             72 A2
           101 01-JUL-11 01-JUL-12              7 A3
           101 01-JUL-12 01-JAN-13             20 B1
           101 01-JUL-12 01-JAN-13             80 B2
           101 01-JAN-13 01-JUN-13             20 A1
           101 01-JAN-13 01-JUN-13             20 A2
           101 01-JAN-13 01-JUN-13             50 A3
           101 01-JAN-13 01-JUN-13             10 B1
           101 01-JUN-13 <null>                50 A1
           101 01-JUN-13 <null>                50 A2The END_DATE of the group is the EFFECTIVE_DATE of the following group (ordered by ID_NUM, EFFECTIVE_DATE).
The last two rows' END_DATE is null because there is no group of rows with a later effective date - in my process, I'll NVL that to sysdate so that my days calculations will be valid.
I tried some analytic queries with LEAD, but I couldn't figure out how to make it get the next group's effective date. I could get the next row's effective date, but not the next group's. I couldn't specify how many lead rows to look ahead, because there is not a consistent number of rows in each group.
How do I populate the END_Date column?
Here's the code to create the above.
    create table t
    (id_num number,
    effective_date date,
    alloc_percent number,
    acct_code varchar2(4)
    insert into t (id_num,Effective_date,alloc_percent,acct_code) values(101,'01-jul-2011',21.0,'A1');
    insert into t (id_num,Effective_date,alloc_percent,acct_code) values(101,'01-jul-2011',72.0,'A2');
    insert into t (id_num,Effective_date,alloc_percent,acct_code) values(101,'01-jul-2011',7.0,'A3');
    insert into t (id_num,Effective_date,alloc_percent,acct_code) values(101,'01-jul-2012',20.0,'B1');
    insert into t (id_num,Effective_date,alloc_percent,acct_code) values(101,'01-jul-2012',80.0,'B2');

  • Lookup Data For Each Record of Result Set

I'm trying to determine if the following task is possible in BPEL and how to implement it.
Assume I have two DB Adapters returning data from two different databases.
The first excepts no inputs returns 5 records in a collection looking somewhat like the following.
    Order ID, Item ID
    1, 2
    2, 1
    3, 1
    4, 2
    5, 3
The second accepts an Item ID as input and returns the description for that item.
I would like the output of the BPEL Process to look like this.
Order ID, Item ID, Item Desc
    1, 2, Computer
    2, 1, Desk
    3, 1, Desk
    4, 2, Computer
    5, 3, Lamp
I'm new to BPEL and I'm assuming this will involve invoking the first db adapter link and then iterator through the result set calling the second db adapter link for each record but I'm not sure where to start. I'm hoping someone can give me a simple example that I can play with. I've looked at How to iterate through multiple records read from a file adapter? and How to pass a single element in an array to XSL from BPEL but I'm getting lost.
    Thanks

I just got it working in the BPEL for-each loop by creating a variable of type Order which I then assigned the results from that loop and then appended them to my output variable. I'd be interested in seeing how I could do that within a transformation if its quicker. How do I append in a transformation so that I can add the row after each loop.
Here is the BPEL so far.
I will note that I think just fetching a complete copy of both data sources and merging wouldn't be ideal as my items table could contain a million records or more and I'm only wanting to fetch the ones I'm interested in.
    Thanks

I have a Customer database with the tables tblCustomers and tblAddress. The tblCustomers has the following fields; CustomerID, CustomerName. The tblAddress has the following fields; CustomerID, Address, Town, County, ArriveDate. When a customer calls us
we start a new record with the CustomerID, CustomerName, Address, Town, County. The ArriveDate is left blank. When my service guy calls to the customer he fills in the ArriveDate field. We do not have a LeaveDate field. He could be there from 1 day up
to 5 days. Each day he is is there he adds another record with all the above data, including the date in the ArriveDate field. If he finishes on a Friday he will take Saturday and Sunday off. On Monday he moves to the next customer, he has a new
customer/location record waiting for him, as before he fills in the ArriveDate and starts working. If he finishes with a customer midweek he will go straight to the next customer where there is a new customer/location record waiting for him to fill in
    the ArriveDate. It looks something along these lines;
    CustomerID    CustomerName    Address              Town               County
     ArriveDate
    5437              Mr.A                    123 Main St
    Nenagh            Tipperary          01/01/2015
    5437              Mr. A                   123 Main St.       Nenagh
    Tipperary          02/01/2015
    5437              Mr. A                   123 Main St.       Nenagh            Tipperary          03/01/2015
    off Saturday and Sunday
7890              Mr. B                   77 The Avenue    Tralee              Kerry
    06/01/2015
7890              Mr. B                   77 The Avenue    Tralee             Kerry
    07/01/2015
I want to generate a DepartDate which will be generated when the Address, County and/or Town fields change from the previous record. The Depart Date should be equal to the last of the Arrive Dates before the Address, Town and County fields change to
    the new customer/address.
Is this possible to do, i would appreciate any help with this.

    Hi NewAccessLearner,
For the results of the query, I think you accord the logic below to find the DepartDate, but the sql query would be much complex.
Take the 123A to make a simple demo:
#1 check the ArriveDate of the next date whether it exist in the ArriveDate
    DepartDate
    Expr1000
    t1.CustomerID
    t2.CustomerID
    Address
    Town
    County
    ArriveDate
    1/2/2015
    5437
    5437
    123 Main St
    Nenagh
    Tipperary
    1/1/2015
    1/3/2015
    5437
    5437
    123 Main St
    Nenagh
    Tipperary
    1/2/2015
    1/4/2015
    5437
    5437
    123 Main St
    Nenagh
    Tipperary
    1/3/2015
    1/8/2015
    5437
    5437
    123 Main St
    Nenagh
    Tipperary
    1/7/2015
    6/2/2015
    7890
    7890
    77 The Avenue
    Tralee
    Kerry
    6/1/2015
In the first column the “1/4/2015” is not in the ArriveDate, and then the “1/3/2015” would be the date for DepartDate.
I am not familiar with sql query, I think you need to ask the sql experts for help.

To search for data/all the relevant condition for a particular condition type(like for example PR00) for a particular date range you can got to VK13 and give that particular condition type for which you want the data for. After giving he condition type click on key combinations and choose for which condition you want the data for.
Like for example I want to fetch the data for PR00 then I will go to VK13 ,give PR00 then choose the relevant combination and then take a F1 for the first field.by this I will be able to determine the table in which all the condition data is stored for the particular combination.Like for the combination of sales org./dist channel./customer/material we have the table A815.Now by going to SE16 and giving table as A815 i will be able to fetch all the relevant data.(in your case based upon the valid from and valid to date). You can also use table KONP for a particular condition record number details.

    hi suresh
create a quick query (SQVI) and extract to excel table KONP
only thing you need to take care is table join for fields datab ( valid from) and tatbi (valid to) you need to take from right table which are present A-table,

  • Not getting data for Null Records.

    Hi all,
I am trying to fetch the records where  sczuo  values are NULL .
DATA : BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0.
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE makz.
    DATA : END OF itab.
SELECT * FROM makz INTO TABLE itab WHERE sczuo IS NULL.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
      LOOP AT itab.
        WRITE : /3 itab-matnr , 20 itab-sczuo.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
I did not getting data any data .But if i write select statement like this
SELECT * FROM makz INTO TABLE itab WHERE sczuo = ' '.
This select statement returns the correct data.
why my first select statement is not working ? how can i use IS NULL?
    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi,
When we insert a new field to an existing table, NULL values are automatically inserted into the new field by the system for all existing records. However NULL and SPACE are not the same.
The logical expression SQL condition is either "true, false, or unknown". The expression is UNKNOWN if one of the columns involved in the database contains a NULL value and such records could be retrieved by using u201CIS NULLu201D instead of SPACE.
Please note that the NULL value is inserted only for the existing records, by the time the new field is being inserted. For all new records, SPACE or the initial (default) value is inserted.
If the new field is inserted by checking the checkbox u201Cinitial valuesu201D, then the initial values (SPACE in case of characters) are automatically inserted and not the NULL values.
    ihope u get the solution...
    Thanks

  • Posting date issue for COGI records.

    Hi all,
I have one issue regarding the posting date for the records which are being cleared from COGI.
_In case of MF47 (Postprocessing for REM) following is the behaviour,_
In this if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing, Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 20th in post processing record clearance
_Now in case of COGI (Automatic goods movement : Error handling) behaviour is different,_
In this scenario if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing (COGI), Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 1st in post processing record clearance
I want same should be happened in case of COGI also, is there any note/ correction/option available??
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Vinayak.

    Dear,
There are backlogs from the backflush in repetitive manufacturing. You can display these using Transaction MF47 and/or Transaction COGI. So schedule a job for program RMSERI11 on daily basis or hourly basis  so it will clear the postprocessing errors.
But for some of the errors, it needs manual intervention like updating storage location, posting dates due to posting period block etc.
    Hope clear to you.

    R.Brahmankar
