EFilm card reader with a fuji film HD card can't transfer images from iphoto to sd card

I have a MacBook Pro running OSX.  I am using an eFilm card reader with an XD picture card.  I want to transfer my images from iPhoto on my macbook pro to this XD picture card.  iPhoto doesn't recognize the card and photos will not transfer.  Help!  There was one photo on the card and it successfully transfered from the picture card into iphoto but I can't get it to do the reverse.  Thanks so much for the help.

Select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export (file menu ==> export - see this user tip for export options) to a desktop folder and then drag the photos from that folder to the desired location on your XD card

  • How Can I transfer images from my Ipad 2 onto a camera card?

I bought the Apple camera kit and can transfer images from my camera onto my IPAD 2, but how do I transfer images back onto the SD card?  Is this possible?

    More tips:
There are several WiFi transfer apps that allow you to move photos back and forth from the iPad to a computer or other iDevice.
Using an app like GoodReader also gives you a conduit to uploading the photos to Dropbox.
Using a photo management app like PhotoManager Pro also facilitates moving photos around and allows you to give photos a filename and caption.  SortShots allows you to tag the photos with keywords and is a powerful organizing app.
The SD card reader will also work with hand-scanners that save directly to an SD or Micro-SD, giving you the possibility of scanning items and directly loading to the iPad.

  • Export images from iphoto filled SD card very quickly

I have been trying to copy images from iphoto onto a 1 GB SD card via a universal card reader. I want to copy 220 photos (100 MB) but the card thinks it is full after 130 photos. I have tried to copy the photos as JPG, TIFF, PNG, copied by 'export', or dragged one at a time, copied the full image or limited in size, with or without extension, but always the same result. I was able to copy the photos onto a 4 GB card, where then 3.61 GB is still available. Why can I not copy the photos onto the 1 GB card?? Please help.

You can reformat any card using Disk Utility - but I would advise against it as the card probably won't work with the photo frame then.
Have a look at the card on your Mac and see if there's a folder heirarchy already there. Perhaps the folder needs a special name to be visible to the frame, but other than that you'll need to contact the frame maker.
To back up iPhoto you should make a back up of the iPhoto Library Folder at in your Pictures Folder. An external HD, burn to CD or DVD, online storage are among the possibilities.

  • Can I transfer photos from Iphoto directly to an SD card

I would like to make use of my SD as a storage device for a recent trip to Turkey.  I have photos on the card, some on my iphone, and also on my wife's camera.  Can I download directly from IPhoto to the main SD card

    Yes but...
In more detail yes you can
File -> Export and choose the SD card as the destination.
The 'but' is as follows: These cards are frequently formatted one of the windows FAT formats. This means there si a limit to the number of items on the top level of the card. SO if you try and export too many photos you'll get a message that the card is full even though it is not.
So: export to a folder on the desktop. Drag that to the card.

  • Can't import video from iPhoto or memory card

I just upgraded to iLife'11 but now I can't seem to import my videos from iPhoto. Before, I could download stills and videos to iPhoto (via card reader) and iMovie would automatically import them. Now I can still import video into iPhoto but then can't figure out how to move them into iMovie. Any suggestions?

I get a message saying "the file is and unrecognized format."
    It's just a jpeg!!!!
    What is the color profile?
    Will they open in preview?

  • How can I import images from iphoto with the albums and folders?

How can I import images from iphoto without losing the albums and folders I already created?

In Organizer, you can choose File>get Photos and Videos>From iPhoto.
Importing from iPhoto'09: If in iPhoto, you organize your media using photo references, that is, the media actually does not reside inside iPhoto library package, and are referenced through original locations, Organizer does not create new copies of those media and just refer to the original location. but if your iPhoto media reside inside iPhoto library, Organizer creates a copy all media in your pictures folder, also imports albums and tags and other metadata.
Importing from iPhoto'011: In this case, Organizer always creates a copy of your photos in your pictures folder which resides inside iPohto package. It does not import the albums and other metadata like star rating, caption etc.
    Hope this information helps!

  • HT3825 Can you transfer photos from the Panasonic dmc sz-20 camera to an IMac with os 10.7.4. Thanks

Can you transfer images from the Panasonic dmc sz-20 camera to an IMac with os 10.7.4? Thanks.

This article tells you which RAW formats are supported in Lion.  Even if you don't find your camera on there, if the camera has a media card, you should be able to read TIFF, JPEG, and PNG images at minimum through a media card reader that is Mac comaptible.    Most cameras these days support either SD or Compact Flash.   SD only slots are available on the most recent iMacs, Mac Minis, and MacBook Pros as a built-in slot.  For all other Macs and media cards many Firewire and USB card readers are avaiable that are Mac compatible, and multifunction printers will allow you to read most card formats.  Check your camera's owners manual what cards are accepted.

  • Transfer photos from iphoto to Aperture with snow leopard, how?

    hi all
how can i transfer photos from iphoto (in power book G5) To Aperture ( in MacBook Pro 17" with snow leopard), with same albums arrangement???? thanks

    yi1gaka wrote:
1- the size of iphoto library is 6GB, but in aperture its 11GB, y?
I think it's because you have the original images plus copies with any adjustments you made in iPhoto. It could also have to do with Aperture generating Previews.
2- now to copy the another iphoto library from the second old machine, i will replace its library with the iphoto library of new machine then copy it in aperture library, and after that i can delete the iphoto library to save hard space. is that correct? thanks
Just make sure you keep the copies on the old machines until you've backed up your new Aperture Library and made sure that everything is there. IMPORTANT: make sure that you chose to copy the images into your Aperture Library instead of keeping them in their current location. If you left them in the iPhoto Library and you delete that library, you delete your images!

  • I have an older imac with os10.4.11. Will it transfer images from newer digital camera using my iphoto when on the camera box it specifies a mac os of 10.5 or above?mo

I have an older imac with OSX 10.4.11. Will it transfer images  from newer digital cameras on to my computer via my iphoto program when the camera box states that the required mac OS is 10.5 or above or is that only if you wish to load the camera manufacturers own image processing program?

Which camera are you speaking about?
Why are you on such an old version on OS X?
With the information provided, I am inclined to say, no.

  • HT5172 My new Macbook Pro doesn't recognize my card reader (with a CF card inserted).

My new Macbook Pro doesn't recognize my USB card reader with a CF card inserted.  It works fine on my old Macbook Pro.
Do I need a new card reader?  USB 3 perhaps?
I would appreciate any input that you may have.  Thank you.

Hi, closereaching. Instead of spending 12 hours reinstalling your operating system and getting everything back up to date again, which probably won't accomplish anything, why not buy a $10 USB card reader for your Casio's SD card? Or (more expensive, but a much more elegant solution), an ExpressCard SD card reader that can stay in your computer all the time?

To sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC to your device using photo applications
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
In iTunes, select your device's icon in the Devices list on the left.
    Click the Photos tab.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Note: Some versions of Photoshop Album and Photoshop Elements don't support collections. You can still use them to sync all your photos.
If you want to sync all your photos, enable the option for "All photos, albums, events, and faces." If you want to sync photos from only some albums, events, or faces, enable the option for "Selected albums, events, and faces" and then select the albums you want. If syncing on a Mac with iPhoto version 6.0.6 or later, you may enable the option to "Include videos" to sync videos directly from iPhoto to your device. (Requires iOS 3.0 or later).
    Click Apply.
To sync photos from a folder on your hard disk to your device
Drag the images you want into a folder on your computer. If you want images to appear in separate photo albums on your device, create folders inside the main folder and drag images into the new folders.
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
Select Choose Folder from the pop-up menu and choose your main image folder.
    Click Apply.
