We have logged through GUI to the shadow instance but we can't test the function module SUBST_START_REPORT_IN_BATCH: the shadow instance continuously dumps (in SE37, ST22, ST11, SU01... with dumps LOAD_PROGRAM_CLASS_MISMATCH, GETWA_WRONG_LENGTH, LOAD_TYPE_VERSION_MISMATCH...). When I don't have a dump (i.e. I try to activate the function module in SE37 without opening it), the GUI closes with the error: "Work process restarted, session terminated " and in the logfile dev_disp shows me:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Davide
Hi Davide,
Please try out below mentioned steps
Set the USER Environment Variable u2018auth_shadow_upgradeu2019 to u20181u2019 for the <SID>adm user (set the variable while logged in as that user)
Change the Shadow Instance service to run with the <SID>adm account
Stop the Shadow Instance (you can leave the Central and SCS Instances running)
Start the Shadow Instance
Continue the EHPI process from where it left off
Hope this helps.

Deepak Kori

providing the hostname where EHP4 installation is going on and test
connection was ok.
Another RFC Destination "EPS_CLIENT" (Electronic Parcel Service: R/3 <-

No i am not running SAPEHPI from remote host. it is a local installation. ERP6.0(IE1) is an IDES system with EHP3.
During the Conflict_check phase installer programme accesses RFC Destination "SERVER_EXEC" and "EPS_CLIENT".
SERVER_EXEC had some wierd entry.
Destination: SERVER_EXEC (handle: 2, , )
Error RFCIO_ERROR_SYSERROR in abrfcpic.c : 1501
CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINIT' : cmRc=20 thRc=497

DEST =SERVER_EXEC
HOST =iwdfim01
PROG =/usr/sap/T3A/SYS/exe/run/rfcsdk/bin/rfcexec
SERVER_EXEC had different path of the program rfcexec "PROG =/usr/sap/T3A/SYS/exe/run/rfcsdk/bin/rfcexec" and i changed it to "/usr/sap/IE1/SYS/exe/uc/NTAMD64/rfcsdk/bin/rfcexec". after this RFC was working fine but the conflict _check again failed with the same error.
This time RFC EPS_CLIENT had errors:
Destination: EPS_CLIENT (handle: 2, , )
Error RFCIO_ERROR_SYSERROR in abrfcpic.c : 1501
CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINIT' : cmRc=19 thRc=497

DEST =EPS_CLIENT
HOST =q4de3gsy207
PROG =/bas/BIN/gen/dbg/hp/epc
GWHOST =hs0305
GWSERV =sapgw95
so i changed the GWHOST to q4de3gsy207 and GWSERVER: sapgw00.
what this program does =/bas/BIN/gen/dbg/hp/epc
the test connection fails
but the problem persists.
i dont know from where it is accessing the hostname :iwdfim01

Windows 7 installation error: "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start.
Towards end of recent iTunes software update on Windows 7, I had an installation error within starting services "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start, etc. Pressed IGNORE option. Appears to install but fails to load saying msvcr80.dll missing.
Any ideas. The old version of iTunes now loads ok but will not connect to my iPhone 4S. It crashes when the iPhone option is clicked.You need to follow the instructons of tt2 in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5822086 to straighten that out.

There's one problem with the file SAPEXEDB_82-10007250.SAR, which was in the download basket, but is not available for download. I deleted the record in the XML stack file and tried the phase again... with no success. Going through the XML file and checking if the packages have been downloaded is a real pain in the ***.
Anyway, can I somewhere download this file SAPEXEDB_82-10007250.SAR?
Or can anyone help me, how solve this issue different way?
Thanks a lot in advance.

senHi
solution for this error is as below
Oracle, SOLARIS_X86_64: Error message: found no server version
Symptom:
You get an error message like the following:
found no server version for this where clause: WHERE PRODUCT = 'SOLMAN' AND PROD_REL = '40' AND OsFAName = 'SOLARIS_X86_64'
Solution:
Proceed ad follows:
1. Stop SAPinst.
2. Go to the installation directory sapinst_instdir.
3. Edit the ORADBPAR.XML file.
4. In the ORADBPAR.XML file, search for the following:
<row>
<fld name="PRODUCT">
<strval><![CDATA[SOLMAN]]>
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="PROD_REL">
<strval><![CDATA[70]]>
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="UNICODE">
<strval><![CDATA[]]>
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="OsFAName">
<strval><![CDATA[SOLARIS_X86_64]]>
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="serverVersion">
<strval><![CDATA[102]]>
</strval>
</fld>
5. Replace '70' with '40':
<row>
<fld name="PRODUCT">
<strval><![CDATA[SOLMAN]]>
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="PROD_REL">
<strval><![CDATA[40]]> <<<<<<<<<<<<<< change 70 to 40
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="UNICODE">
<strval><![CDATA[]]>
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="OsFAName">
<strval><![CDATA[SOLARIS_X86_64]]>
</strval>
</fld>
<fld name="serverVersion">
<strval><![CDATA[102]]>
</strval>
</fld>
6. Save the ORADBPAR.XML file.
7. Restart SAPinst and choose "Continue with the old option" on the "What do you want to do" screen.

Installation Error RFC connection with ddic user
Hi
when i am installating IDES ECC6.0 iam unable to continue the installation
due to ddic password. i have tried with master and standard password but no use.
i have tired to logon to the system using sap* user . But it also failed to logon .
could any body help me this issue.
Thanks in advance.Hi Kumar,
When you delete the user SAP*, please make sure you also add the parameter
login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 to instance profile (your need to restart the SAP instance)
As NW2004S, that parameter prevent SAP* login using PASS password.
But before you do this, please just try to delete the SAP* user first and login using PASS password, if that not work than you should add the parameter and restart the SAP.
Hope this help.

IDES Installation error (RFC connection error)
Hi
Would someone help me?
I have a problem while installing the IDES ,ECC 6.0 with MaxDB. (Linux)
The installaiton of CI is holding in the phase " Checking the DDIC password " and it seems a loop.
Looking through sapinst.log , there is some messages.
These messages are showing as a loop.
INFO 2008-06-25 13:46:09
RFC connection information checked successfully.
ERROR 2008-06-25 13:47:10

ERROR 2008-06-25 13:47:10

And I tried to logon ,but I didn't because of the timeout.
The window says "waiting for response" and the logon is over with a error,timeout.
Any hints and advice would be helpful for me ,thanks.Hi,
1. Check dailog work processes through OS level
2. Check all profile parameters through OS level and change it according.
3. Then try for sap logon with 000 client and password.
After login into sap, check RFC connection within the system. using by tcode sm59.
4. Finally you can check also MaxDB services at OS level.

Abt RFC & FTP---- RFC to SAPFTP failed (urgent)
Hi all,
my program is working fine when i execute it in SAP GUI.
in this program i need to send some local file to FTP server from presentation server.
actually we have a scanner through which we can scan the barcode data from barcode label.this scanner is connected to sap test server through web console.
so ,i can see the sap screen on the screen of scanner for this perticular transaction.
after scanning a barcode,the barcode data comes to scanner.when i execute this report on the scanner, it is showing the error---- RFC to SAPFTP failed.
where as this same report is working very fine on the SAP server.it can send my file from presentation server to FTP server located at some other place.
web console is installed so i can connect scanner to SAP for this perticular transaction through web.i think, to execute on scanner is same as execute on sap server.
This error comes while executing a Function module FTP_CONNECT which is present in my program.
can u please tell where is the problem?it is very urgent as they need in 1 day of time.
code is as follows.

Regards
pabitraWell may be the reason is that you are running report from SAP console.
SAPFTP is just an RFC destination which is actually pointing to an exe file on your frontend. filename is 'sapftp' and it is installed with your GUI frontend installation. May be while running through web console it is having problems accessing this file.
As a solution, why don't you use the rfc destination for the application server. It is called SAPFTPA. So instead of ws_download, you can save the file on application server through OPEN dataset ... ABAP commands. Than from application server ftp it using the same logic as it is in existing program. Just be sure to use the rfc destination SAPFTPA.
Hope this helps.
Cheers. -

the device has encountered an unexpected error. Installation error: application verification failed
I have been receiving this message over and over again when trying to publish my iOS app for the app store (I use Flash cc AIR 3.9.1.1080 for iOS and my settings are: "device testing in interpreter mode", as my app uses several swfs).
I have done everything from scratch, as recommended on other sections of the forums: new app ID from my apple developer account, new Distribution Certificates, new Distribution Provisioning Profiles and nothing works.
I can install my app on my iPad if I use the development Certificate and Provisioning Profile and everything seems OK. But as soon as I use the Distribution Certificate and Provisioning Profile get the same message:
the device has encountered an unexpected error. Installation error: application verification failed
I have done everything from the beggining over and over and nothing works. Am I the only one having this issue on Flash cc???Hi Daniel:
I´m far from being an expert on Xcode (or any code) but this is what I did and it worked:
- On Xcode go to Preferences > Accounts > select your App Developer Account, then click "view details" on the lower right corner.
- There you can see which of your "Signing Identities" (Certificates) are "Valid". You should have at least one for Development and one for Distribution.
- Below that window there are two icons which you can use to add, export or revoke a "Signing Identitie" (Certificate).
- Choose the one you want to use (Develop. or Distrib.), export it to the folder of the app you are working on and name it in such a way you can relate it to your app. Before knowing this I was exporting them using Keychain Access and I wasn´t naming them to differentiate each one properly.
- On your Apple Developer account create the Provisioning Profile for your app. I deleted any App IDs or Prov. Profs. which were useless.
- Then on my Apple Developer account I generated a Development Prov. Prof. to install and test my app on my iPad. All went fine.
- Then an Ad Hoc Prov. Prof. again to install and test my app on my iPad. All went fine.
- Then I generated the App Store Prov. Prof. and I was able to install the app on my device without the upsetting error.
- Then I uploaded the app to iTunes Connect with no problem.
These link was useful for me: https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/technotes/tn2318/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/D TS40013777-CH1-TNTAG0
You can also search for "Certificates" and "Provisioning" on Xcode help.
Good luck!
