The password is correct. Can SSH to all servers with sidadm and password entered but still fails.
Have manually typed the pwd, cut an pasted the password, tested all on each server in environment.
This is a DPF environment with partitions on multiple nodes. Also has 2 app servers as well. sidadm connects to all servers as said before both with and without password (RSA Key enabled).

Solaris stores passwords in /etc/shadow - which is only readable by root. Since EHPI is started by <sid>adm and there is no option to read that file and compare it with your given password. Solaris has RBAC you can create a role and add a permission for <sid>adm to read the file. An example how to do that is here: http://www.kernelthread.com/publications/security/solaris.html (check the 'ppriv' section). That would be the same as the first part of the note for AIX.
For point two you can change the permissions as stated in the note for the runtime of EHPI and change it back.
I'm sure that this issue is either because of a new Solaris release (check /etc/release) or because the method of how SAPehpi checks the password changed. I've done quite a bunch of upgrades on Solaris 10 and I've not had that problem.

There is the command I ran :
1 ) root@xxxxxxx(/sapmnt/SID/exe)# chown root:sapsys sapuxuserchk
2) root@xxxxxxx(/sapmnt/SID/exe)# chmod u+s,o-rwx sapuxuserchk
3) restart the Phase

Authentication failed: invalid user/password.
After uploading a new RPD in obiee( 11.1.1.5), my obiee has started failing with following error in nqserver.log. I have verified that BISystemUser password is the same in console and EM. I have also verified that I am entering correct RPD password while uploading it through EM. What else may be wrong ?

Log In Failed - Enter New Password
Hi Guys,
I've been using TB for a while now, along with the several email accounts, including: Hotmail, Outlook, Mail.com & to a lesser degree Supanet !?
Every now and then, when trying to Send, I get the message "Log In Failed - Enter New Password". I usually just click the red cross a couple of times, & it goes away. I never need to input a new password,,,,
but, today its one of the Mail.com accounts. I've been on their own site and sent the message. There isn't a problem with Mail.com, or my settings.
As usual, it worked fine until today.
I tried inputting the current p.w and creating a new one, but to no avail.
How do I fix this please ?

Exporting pdf and said failed due to password protected--what to do?
I'm trying to export a pdf file and i get a 'conversion failed due to password protection'? i do not recall putting a password for any of my conversions.

Thank you, that is correct - an unprotected PDF would be best.
Although if that isn't available due to time constraints, you will have full access to convert the PDF to Word if you have the correct password. You will just need to be sure to enter it directly into the PDF before you do the conversion.

I encountered following error: [nQSError: 43126] Authentication failed: invalid user/password.
when I was starting weblogic server, and server used to shutdown.

Found that password for MDS & BIPLATFORM was 'expired', was able to solve my problem and my Presentation Services were up & running.
My question is, how to avoid password of MDS & BIPLATFORM from getting expired in future??

I can happily connect my home computers and phone to sync and I have confirmed they sync between themselves. However, my work computer has recently stopped being able to sync where it has previously been fine for well over a year. I am on the latest version of sync and Firefox 35.0.1 (both at home and work).
When I try to reconnect to sync I am directed to the "Sign in to continue" page. It has my correct email address/account name. I enter my password (clicking "Show" to make sure it's correct) but then it always fails with "Incorrect password" in a red banner at the top. I have checked the password is correct and logged out and back in from home using the same password so I know that is correct. I have tried this logged in to work via remote desktop so I could do both at the same time to make sure there isn't just a prevailing sync server problem.
Obviously my work computer is behind a proxy/firewall. I have recently had to add a new certificate as a result of proxy changes to get internet connectivity working. Anecdotally, I think sync stopped working at a similar time - but it's always easy to remember these things differently when you're looking for a solution. So this could be a red herring.

i've deleted all cookies, although I don't really understand how that relates. I have also spoken to our sysadmin who says we don't block access to firefox accounts per se, we do block all file-esque uploads. However, I am not sure this would make any difference to the exact problem I am seeing which is that I can't sign in to my firefox sync account. But maybe signing in to this account is different to a "normal" account - maybe there is more of a two way handshake which relies on sending some encrypted data which appears to our proxy like a file being uploaded out of the company.
I got a slightly different error on my latest clear down and retry, in that the sign in just waited forever (overnight) without success.
Any further help gratefully received... -

We have both infrastructure and application server installed on same unix box.
When I click on "OC4J_BI_Forms" link on EM page it throws below error. The status "unknown" icon.

On Middle Tier OC4J_BI_Forms or HTTP_Server or any OC4J components shows status unkown and other components Forms, BC4J, Forms, SSO shows up.
When I click on OC4J_BI_Forms or HTTP_Server or any OC4J components on mid tier I get the below error

Need help with SAP IDES 60 logon using sapmmc....used "sapsr3" as user with password during the install process with client 000 and transaction s000....get error SAP logon failed Name or password is incorrect.....used brconnect to reset the password for sapsr3 account ...same password was used as in the install process...still not able to logon to sapmmc...am I missing something? Also can connect to sqlplus with system/manager but not with sysdba...using default password "change_on_install"..how can I change this password or reset?

We need to change the SIDadm password in the domain, will it have any impact on the SAP system.

SIDADM password during system copy
Hello Experts,
I am doing a heterogeneous system copy. During which I am prompted for sidadm password. The systems at the client's place were setup long back. I have no clue about the sidadm password.
Can you please tell me how can i go through this? Any pointers to any other threads will be much appreciated.

EUS password authentication in sql developer failing with username/password
We have recently changed to use Enterprise User Security (EUS) for our client authentication (password global authentication).
This is working fine but we are encountering an issue with SQL Developer whereby we can't logon using our EUS details, it simply returns the following on the logon screen:
Status : Failure - Test failed: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Logging on via sql plus client and server software and other 3rd party tools like pl/sql developer works correctly.
It appears to be an issue with sql developer itself.
We are using the latest Production release of sql developer 2.1
Does anyone have any ideas?

There is a jdbc setting that will allow you to use EUS password authentication.
Add the jdbc line option (below) in the sqldeveloper.conf file (backup the sqldeveloper.conf file first).
AddVMOption -Doracle.jdbc.thinLogonCapability=o3
The sqldeveloper.conf file can be found wherever you have installed sqldeveloper, under <INSTALL_HOME>\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf.
After you add this option, restart SQL Developer and you should be able to use your EUS username / password to authenticate via SQL Developer.
