EHWIC-4G-LTE-V only connects via 1xRTT

I've got an EHWIC-4G-LTE-V card in a 2921 router and am only able to connect via 1xRTT. Can someone take a look at the output below and provide some insight as to why I can't connect via LTE? Thank you.

  • Sprint iPhone 4S only connecting at 1xrtt (little circle)

My iphone 4 only connects at 1xrtt (GPRS, little circle icon). Resetting the phone does not fix it. Went to the sprint store, the iphones there connect at 3G, mine side by side does not. Sprint rep told me there was nothing he could, to take it to the apple store, apple store tells me to reset my phone, which obviously does not fix the issue.
What's the friggen deal here? I am about to send these phones back.

I have the exact same problem. I was about to reset my Iphone but I'm not sure if that will work either. Not only that, I also have problems receiving text messages from certain people, and I think I've narrowed it down to the people who send it to me via I-message. I've visited several cities since this problem began, and that little circle will not go away.

My ipod touch (4th G) only connects via wifi, not via cable. The cable works with my iPad, so it's not that.  Help?

    1. Turn the router, iPad and printer off.
    2. Turn on the router and then wait 30 seconds to let it complete its start-up process.

  • Accessing Server when only connected via Internet Sharing

Currently, I don't have the ability to directly connect my Mac Pro which I use as a Server to the router as I have no direct access to it via cable and it does not have an Airport card.
However, I can access the internet on it if I use internet sharing on my iMac which is connected via Gigabit Ethernet to the Mac Pro at all times.
In order to use any of the services such as Time Machine from another machine, I always need to connect it directly by cable. This leaves me wondering if there is a way to tunnel the Mac Pro through the iMac so it is accessible via Wifi? Is there a setting on either Machine I have to activate / set to make this work?
It is only thought to be a temporary solution until I move to a new flat where it will be directly connected to an Airport Extreme.
    Thanks for your help!

Seems that the issue is something to do with connecting via WPA2. When I set Internet Sharing to use WEP (by option-clicking the security menu), I'm then able to see the network shares and the printer.

  • Jetpack 5510l has no wifi signal - can only connect via usb to get Internet.

Bought this device on a Thursday and it worked flawlessly - until Saturday.  The device has had a consistent connection to Verizon, but on Saturday the wifi began to 'go out.'  The device showed everything was working, but the wifi radio seems to have just turned off (after intermittently failing for a period of a couple hours).  We tried several different devices, none showed a working wifi signal coming from the mifi by the end of the day.
What we have done so far:
    Rebooted.
Removed battery (after shutting down), restarted.
    Used hard-reset button.
Used web intefrace to turn wifi on and off - and on, changed ssid, passphrase, reset again (after each phase we also gave it an hour to see if the signal would return).
Nothing has gotten the wifi from the device back online - it's as if either the radio or wifi antenna is completely broken.  We attempt to connect using 3 or 4 different devices - so it is most certainly the mifi.  There are no errors from the device - is there a debug / test mode?
Our current workaround is to connect via usb to a Macbook and just share the internet connection - which works great, but makes travel a bit more difficult if a computer has to be connected to allow us to have a wifi signal (not from the mifi).
    Regards.

Taking the Jetpack apart is going to void your warranty.  I would not suggest going down that road until your warranty is up.  Instead give VZW a call and have them ship you a replacement under the warranty service agreement. You have done a perfect job of isolating the problem to a wifi radio issue.  Its easy to recreate and confirm which will make the phone call fairly quick.  Unless you got sold on some kind of Best Buy warranty and prefer to go through them, VZW is going to be your best bet at getting a speedy replacement.

  • Acer Aspire One will only connect via Fon now on H...

Since activating Fon on my BT Home Hub my Acer Aspire One - running Linux Linpus - will no longer log on to the 'normal' wireless connection on my hub, only Fon, which has limited bandwidth, etc.
Anybody know why? Have a solution?
I've 'proved' it's the Fon activation my doing a full reset on the hub. My One connected normally until Fon was reactivated, then back to Fon connection only

Re WPA - it was fine until Fon was activated!
When I did a factory reset on the hub the One connected as normal - until Fon reactivated at which point it was back to via Fon only!
As the MAC address for FON and your normal SSID would be the same, perhaps it is seeing your normal SSID and assuming that is FON, and connecting to that in preference to your normal one.
    Really strange problem.......

  • CK-7W and 6230i only connects via bluetooth

I have installed the carkit ck-7w and the phoneholder MBC-15S, but the only way my phone will connect to the carkit is via the bluetooth. When I put the phone in the holder (MBC-15S and the datacable)it starts charging but doesn't route the microphone or speaker to the carkit. The symbol that indicates a connection to the carkit (the symbol of a little car) does not appear. I have tried to replace the headunit of the carkit and the datacable, but without success. I also assume that the holder (MBC-15S) is not the problem because the problem is still there when the datacable is connected directly into the 6230i. Replacing the phone with an identical 6230i itself doesn't resolve anything, so I assume the 6230i isn't the source of the problem.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
Have anyone experienced a similar scenario?
Could it be a software issue regarding the 6230i?

Hi! Just wanted to share the solution to my previously described problem.
It turned out that the CK-7W carkit wouldn't work properly as a result of an extension CAT-5 cable. During the installation ut turned out that the cable that runs from the phoneholder (MBC-15S) to the CK-7W was too short, so I decided to use an extension cable. The extension cable was an ordinary CAT-5 cable with 8P8C plugs in both ends, approximatly 50 cm long, connected to a free standing socket witch allows a 8P8C plug to inserted in both ends, making it possible to plug the male ends from the original datacable to the aftermarket CAT-5 plug(8P8C plug) together.
I removed the CAT-5 cable and used only the original datacable and the problem was solved.
I tested the CAT-5 cable and the free standing socket in a computer and everyting worked fine. So I guess there was nothing wrong with my aftermarket cable equipment.

  • Can you use time capsule if you only connect via wi fi, and no ethernet lines?

I'm considering buying a Time Capsule to back up my stuff and use as a router, but I only use wi fi (my fi) via my phone service. Is Time Capsule functional without an ethernet connection, and if so, how functional? Basically, is it the right thing for me within these parameters?
    thanks in advance
    Taythorne

This could be OK, because Time Capsule's operation is quite independent of the router function. Time Capsule does need to live on a LAN with a router somewhere, even if it is not the router itself. As long as that's true, it could work.
But it sounds like there is more research you have to do. Normally, Time Capsule either functions as a router, meaning you give it a direct IP address to a modem; or it functions in bridge mode, meaning you give it the IP address of a router. I don't know how a mi-fi works compared to a cable or DSL modem, but I am guessing you might set up the Time Capsule to connect to it in bridge mode. If that works, everything else should work fine.
Regardless of the setup, Time Capsule should work as long as the Mac can find the Time Capsule and mount the backup volume. An actual Internet connection is not required for that, because it's all within the LAN.

  • T510 - NVS3100M only connected via PCIe Version 1.1 instead of PCIe2.0 ?

    Hi,
    GPU-Z reports only PCIe 1.1.
Is there any way to activate PCIe 2.0?
    thx

    Hi,
As I know, recent browsets should use http 1.1, have you tried to force the http 1.1 via registry?
    Open registry editor
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click
    OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click
    DWORD Value.
Type EnableHTTP1_1, and then press ENTER.
Right-click EnableHTTP1_1, and then click Modify.
Type 1, and then click OK.
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click
    DWORD Value.
Type ProxyHttp1.1, and then press ENTER.
Right-click ProxyHttp1.1, and then click Modify.
Type 1, and then click OK. click F5 to refresh the registry.
    Exit Registry Editor.
And the link you pasted above (answer.microsoft.com) mentioned that this issue could be related with Blue Coat proxy, as a test, I suggest you set IE to "Automatically detect settings" instead of the proxy, check if it is the culprit.

  • Why can I only connect to the internet using my IPhone 5S 4G via a USB and not wirelessly?

Apologies if I'm not using the right jargon ... I have a laptop (Dell Latitude D510 - Windows 7 Ultimate) that can connect to my Mobile Broadband wirelessly no problem but I can't utilise my IPhone's 4G connection (iOS 7.0.5) unless I use the USB cable (my personal hotspot is also on). I can't connect wirelessly to my personal hotspot without the USB cable. It keeps saying Windows is unable to connect to my IPhone. I have tried to troubleshoot this myself but can't find an obvious problem. Interestingly I could only connect via my USB when I downloaded the ITunes program as my computer failed to recognise my IPhone. Furthermore, I have a Dell Alienware laptop which has no problems connecting to my IPhone either way - USB or wirelessly (also has ITunes downloaded). I've searched the Internet forums for an answer on but I can't find one. Can anyone help? Thanks if you can.

  • Ethernet-only connection to Netgear MR814v3

Qwest DSL (Actiontec GT701 Modem) with 2 Macs: 1 iBook and 1 Powerbook G4, both running OS 10.3.9
    Netgear MR814v3 wireless router
    WPA security
I connect fine wirelessly with iBook, but for the Powerbook, I can only browse/get online successfully thru ethernet. Airport has strong signal and I enter password for the SSID/network - and everything "looks" great (i.e. in the Network Prefs it says I am connected to the Internet, but really I can't do anything).
    Any advice would be appreciated.

So, the Powerbook was connected to the router via ethernet, then all of a sudden, the iBook would not connect wirelessly (like it had been all day long) and went so far as to give an error message that the (WPA Personal) password for the network was wrong. I rebooted the modem, router, and both laptops, in that order (waiting for all appropriate lights to come on) and now, they have switched places. The Powerbook connects using wireless and the iBook will only connect via ethernet.
Additional note: I had to type in the DNS servers (provided by my ISP, Qwest) before getting the iBook to connect via ethernet.
    I am officially frustrated.
One more thing - of course, Qwest wanted me to buy their pricey, high-end "modem and wireless router-all-in-one) but I already had the Netgear from my last setup and wanted to save some cash (needed to, really) so I got the barebones Qwest modem.
Thanks in advance for any more help!

  • 1921 and EHWIC-4G-LTE-V Failures On Connecting LAN

I am running into an issue regarding usage of a 1921 (15.3(2)T) and EHWIC-4G-LTE-V (firmware SWI9600M_03.05.10.06).

I am not really sure how to further troubleshoot this and was hoping someone in the community would have some additional thoughts on how to proceed.
Thanks so much for your time!

I have recently dealt with a similar issue and it was due to NAT not being configured correctly causing the cell card to flop.  You really have to NAT all inside traffic regardless of whether is it allowed out or not otherwise Verizon detects it as invalid traffic and drops your cell connection.  The blocking of outside traffic to the outside interface should be handled as a "in" ACL on the LAN interface.  See some of my config below with some other lines of code I found helpful, tailor to your needs.  Let me know how it goes.
    ip access-list extended NAT_Traffic
!This is denying any VPN traffic that is outbound on the external interface.  If this traffic allows will flop the cell interface.
     deny   ip any 10.254.254.0 0.0.0.15
!You can modify this to only be the LAN subnets you are actually using but try "any any" just to test.
     permit ip any any
    ip access-list extended Limited_Internet
!This allows my LAN to communicate with my 10.x.x.x VPN subnets.
     permit ip 169.254.0.0 0.0.255.255 10.254.254.0 0.0.0.15
!This allows the one ip address to access the internet and denies all other LAN traffic.
     permit ip host 169.254.231.201 any
     deny   ip 169.254.0.0 0.0.255.255 any
!restrict all traffic except listed below for cell port.
    ip access-list extended Secure_Access_In
!I specify the Static IP used but you will have to suit a dynamic IP.
permit tcp any host A.B.C.D eq 22
    !Confugure NAT
ip nat inside source list NAT_Traffic interface Cellular0 overload
    !Apply ACLs to interfaces
    interface Vlan1
!Restricts internet to a limited set of IPs and allows VPN traffic to flow.
     ip access-group Limited_Internet in
    interface Cellular0
     ip access-group Secure_Access_In in
!To allow internet access out from LAN hosts if you have a ACL blocking traffic in on the Cell interface.  Always a good idea.
!What to inspect for contect based access control.
    ip inspect name INSPECT-IN-OUT tcp
    ip inspect name INSPECT-IN-OUT udp
    ip inspect name INSPECT-IN-OUT icmp
!where to apply the outgoing CBAC inspection
    interface Cellular0
    ip inspect INSPECT-IN-OUT out
Hopefully you haven't pulled too much hair out and this helps to fix.

  • Financial Reports Client - 11.1.2.1 - Won't connect via VPN only?

When I try and connect via VPN only. I get: You are not authorized to use this functionality. Contact your administrator.
Here's the log from client. We have ensured the client version matches the server version exactly. Funny as when I'm directly on their network I can connect just fine. Hoping this log will point to solution.

I think you have already posted this problem on another post, I said it is possible it could be a ports issue.
Have a look at the following http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/epm-component-communications-11121-354680.xls
Select FR studio as the client and it should give indication to the ports that need to be opened.
    Cheers

  • How do I use time capsule as a direct backup drive only connect to my macbook pro via ethernet cable

I have recently abandoned my cable internet service provider and am using my iPad as a hotspot via verizon wireless service.  I am trying to reconfigure my time capsule as a back up drive only connected by an ethernet cable.
I was able to set it up on my new hotspot wireless net, but do not want to use it that way because of the data usage impact on my verizon wireless account.
Hopefully there is an easy answer, but it is not intuitively obvious to me.

Well I have to say you can do it.. but if you are plugging and unplugging ethernet, you could just as easily plug and unplug an external USB drive.. and it will be faster and more reliable than the TC.
I explained how to do the TC as a secondary network in the posts here. Look down the bottom of the discussion.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4817218?tstart=30
If any of that doesn't make sense just post again here..
You can also do it with wireless if you accept using a USB wireless stick plugged into the Mac.. then you have two wireless clients and can connect simultaneously to two different networks.. using the same principles as above that you remove the gateway and dns problems that arise by manual settings.

  • Can only connect one user at a time via VPN?

Hi, long-term Mac user but new to OS X Server. Dug thru the forums quite a bit but couldn't find an answer to this one - hopefully I wasn't searching with the wrong keywords.
Installed OS X Server 10.6 on a MacBook (white, 1 generation back) at the office. Sits behind an Airport Extreme, which is connected to Comcast. Other machines at the office are NOT routed through the Server, but rather connect directly to the Airport Extreme for internet access. I've set up server.mydomainname.com to point to our Comcast address, and I am able to connect via VPN to the server without any problems, and access the server using the server.mydomainname.com address which I pointed to my Comcast IP address, as long as I check "Send all traffic over VPN connection" on my client.
However, when I'm logged in via VPN on one computer, and then log in via VPN on another computer (with the same UID or a different one), the first one loses all connectivity through the VPN - it's as if it had been logged off.
In Server Admin, under the Settings|Network tabs, I have Computer Name set up as "theserver", and Local Hostname as "theserver" (so I can access via theserver.private). VPN is set up to enable L2TP over IPsec, sharing ranges 10.0.1.200 thru 10.0.1.220; no load balancing, no PPTP. Client DNS servers is set to 10.0.1.29.
Any ideas as to why I can only connect with one client at a time?

Thanks. I didn't see anything interesting, but then again I'm not up on VPN details. Here's the scenario:
First, I logged in as "user1", and I can use the VPN.
Then, I logged in as "user2", and I can use the VPN with user2, but user1 is no longer able to do anything over the VPN.
Then I hung up with user2, but user1 still can't see anything over the VPN.
Then I hung up and reconnected with user1, and user1 can use the VPN again.
Here's part of the log for this activity. I've replaced potentially identifying info with "XYZ" for safety. Appreciate any thoughts on this!
