    Hi Arghya ,
    From where you have taken these quetions , are they from the book.

    C.     The ejbCreate() method has a bug.
    D.     The datastore does not support JTA.
    E.     The transaction does not implement
    javax.transaction.UserTransaction.
    Select 2 answers.
    D,B If the Transaction is rolled back there are the possibility that either the datasource doesnot support it or the bean is updating the inconsistent data, so mostly problem in ejbStore() where there is a database update.
    2.     A Servlet must perform 3 operations that are
    independent of one another. They are time consuming
    with each operation consuming about 10 msec of CPU.

    ServletOutputStream.
    E.     The worker threads must not read from the
    ServletInputStream.
    Select the best answer.
    Now here what is the worker Thread should not write to output stream as if it does then there will be wrong formatting of the data, we are bothered about to improve the throughput so we have spawned three worker thread.Also there is no dependency so D is proper one
    3. A client invokes the create() method on an CMP

    a.     Container creates an EJBObject.

    c.     Bean instance is associated with EJBObject.
    d.     Container creates new bean instance.
    e.     Container calls setEntityContext() on bean
    instance.
    f.     Container creates the bean representation in a
    database.
    g.     ejbPostCreate() method is invoked on bean
    instance.
    A.     b -> f -> a -> c -> g
    B.     b -> a -> f -> c -> e -> g
    C.     a -> d -> c -> b -> e -> g -> f
    D.     a -> d -> c -> b -> f -> g -> e
    E.     a -> c -> e -> b -> f -> g
    Select the best answer.
    Client invokes the create method on the home which inturn prepares the EJBObject and attaches the bean instance to the EJBObject and returned the reference to the client.So the option E.

    You have to use the Load balancing tech , go for distributed technology B , the processing speed is now the criteria so you distribute the work.

    If there is the problem in the deployment descriptor then there ejb will not deploy at all .As the problem comes in updating I can make so no problem in the ejbCreate() also , but then many other consideration has to be taken .So I have my answer as
    A,C,D,F
    That is all I can say.

  • Casting in EJB's - please help?!!

    I've coded a generic threadmanager type service component (within an app. server) that instantiates various EJB's dynamically depending on various criteria that I obtain from a database. My code looks something like this - I run each of these type calls in a seperate thread:
    javax.naming.Context ctx = new javax.naming.InitialContext ();
    RO.ContractHHHome home = (RO.ContractHHHome)ctx.lookup("Contract/contractHH");
    RO.ContractHHRemote remote = home.create();
    remote.setAppKey(getAppKey());
    remote.startProcess();
    remote.remove();
    I've managed to find an alernative way way to cast my EJB's to a CorbaOrb object and hence I'm avoiding to have to know exactly what my EJB's class name is (i.e the reference to the object RO.ContractHHHome can then be revoked at compilation time).
    initialContext.init( orbOptions ) initialContext.String_to_Object(this.location, corbaobject )
    lcor_corbaobject._narrow(appManager, "SessionManager/Manager")
    appManager.createSession(this.userid, "")
    corbaobject = lses_session.lookup(bindNaming)
    corbaobject._narrow(homeOrb, ejbHome)
    However, this opt's the problem that unless my CorbaOrb object is inherited from a super class that is known to me, there is NO way that I can call any custom methods on the CorbaOrb object that has been casted from my EJB (i.e. RO.ContractHHHome). So how do I cast/inherit the CorbaOrb object so that I can reference a custom method via the remote interface of the EJB. Sorry for this bad explaination - I will gladly explain more if need be....
    many thanks

    Sweet - I actually looked this up and looks exactly what I need. Hey many thanks - much appreciated. If you got any working examples of cause please forward them onto me.

  • Windows deployment - please help.

    CA Forum: Deployment
    Hi there. I've got two questions/issues 1) I'm developing on an XP Pro box and need detailed instructions for deploying a report as part of a Java applet using IIS as the web server. All the docs I've seen refer to Tomcat deployments. I saw one this morning that stated IIS was a supported web server but still the docs deployment instructions only dealt with Tomcat. The report was developed using CR XI Developer edition release 2 and I'm connecting to a PostgreSQL database.2) The production deployment will be on a Windows server 2003 box.  If the install here is significantly different than the one above, I'll need help with that as well. Thank you very much for your help! Marc

    The intent of the OEM product key that is embedded into to BIOS is to use it with the Lenovo factory preload.  To use it in another way is not something we can help with.  My advice is to post this question to a Microsoft forum, or else just try it and see if it works.

    Hi,
    I was able to successfully deploy after installing
    weblogic 6.1 SP2 (earlier I had SP1). Also, I had to make
    changes in the BankAppServlet code since it tries to find the
    bean with a different name than one specified in jndi-name.

    Hi Gaurav,
    Other applications used the same the datasource, which I used for this application,
    are running fine.
    I think there is some bug in the wlserver 6.1 to create the join table. I think
    it is the time I should ask the bea wlserver 6.1.

  • Urgent Please help: Error Testing EJB in Universal Test Client

    Hi,
    I have to get this working by tommrow guys - can you please help.
    I wonder if someone can assist. I am new to WSAD 5.1 and am trying to test an EJB I have created with both local and remote interfaces.
    The bean has been created OK and ithe stub files have created for the bean via Generate->Deploy and RMIC code.
    The RJB project has been defind in my WAS server correctly. The JNDI name in the EJB is \ejb\MyEJBHome
    I start the Universal Test client (UTC) via the options on my WAS Server and then click on the JNDI explorer icon option and see my local EJB Folder and an ejb folder (plus others). If I go to the local EJB folder the stub for my local home inteface appears , I am able to click on it and consumme the bean.
    However if I go to the ejb folder I see my home stub for the remote inteface , I do indded need to click on this to get at the remote inteface for my bean. However on clicking it I get a WAS error "null reference found".
    It does not appear to be able to get at the MyBeanHome stub (no reference to it).
    Ok what am I doing wrong! The project build with no errors and I can see all the stubs in the ejbModule folder. Now is the UTC expecting these stubs to be sitting in a particular directory? if so where?

    Hi Problem is with
    public class MyEJBBean extends AbstractStatelessSessionBean {
         private javax.ejb.SessionContext mySessionCtx;
    extends AbstractStatelessSessionBean causes a problem in UTC.
    Regards.

  • R2_AQ_JMS MDB deployment Error--Urgent, please help!!

    Deploy a simple MDB to Oracle9iASR2, follow the steps:
    1. Define the MDB in ejb-jar.xml
    <message-driven>
    <description>MDB Queue Listener</description>
    <display-name>QueueListener Message Driven Bean</display-name>
    <ejb-name>QueueListenerMDB</ejb-name>
    <ejb-class>mdb.QueueListenerMDB</ejb-class>
    <transaction-type>Container</transaction-type>
    <message-driven-destination>
    <jms-destination-type>javax.jms.Topic</jms-destination-type>
    </message-driven-destination>
    </message-driven>
    2. Modify the orion-ejb-jar.xml
    <message-driven-deployment
    name="QueueListenerMDB"
    destination-location="jms/SalesTopic"
    connection-factory-location="jms/theTopicConnectionFactory"
    subscription-name="MDBSUB"
    >
    </message-driven-deployment>
    3. define the resource-provider in application.xml
    <resource-provider class="oracle.jms.OjmsContext" name="SalesJMS">
    <description> OJMS/AQ </description>
    <property name="url" value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@dell2400:1521:mydb"></property>
    <property name="username" value="user"></property>
    <property name="password" value="pssword"></property>
    </resource-provider>
    4. Deploy the ear file and got the following error:

    Any idea on what's the cause of this. It seems that the Oracle 9i's support of MDB differs significantly from R1. The demo sample that works for R1 no longer work for R2. For example, the following DD doesn't seem to work with R2.

  • R2_AQ_JMS deployment Error--Urgent, please help!!

    Deploy a simple MDB to Oracle9iASR2, follow the steps:
    1. Define the MDB in ejb-jar.xml
         <message-driven>
              <description>MDB Queue Listener</description>
              <display-name>QueueListener Message Driven Bean</display-name>
              <ejb-name>QueueListenerMDB</ejb-name>
              <ejb-class>mdb.QueueListenerMDB</ejb-class>
              <transaction-type>Container</transaction-type>
         <message-driven-destination>
         <jms-destination-type>javax.jms.Topic</jms-destination-type>
         </message-driven-destination>
         </message-driven>
    2. Modify the orion-ejb-jar.xml
    <message-driven-deployment
    name="QueueListenerMDB"
    destination-location="jms/SalesTopic"
    connection-factory-location="jms/theTopicConnectionFactory"
    subscription-name="MDBSUB"
    >
    </message-driven-deployment>
    3. define the resource-provider in application.xml
    <resource-provider class="oracle.jms.OjmsContext" name="SalesJMS">
    <description> OJMS/AQ </description>
         <property name="url" value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@dell2400:1521:mydb"></property>
         <property name="username" value="user"></property>
         <property name="password" value="pssword"></property>
    </resource-provider>
    4. Deploy the ear file and got the following error:
    java.lang.NullPointerException

    Any idea on what's the cause of this. It seems that the Oracle 9i's support of MDB differs significantly from R1. The demo sample that works for R1 no longer work for R2. For example, the following DD doesn't seem to work with R2.
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jms/Queue/senderQueueConnectionFactory</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    <res-sharing-scope>Shareable</res-sharing-scope>
    </resource-ref>
    <resource-env-ref>
    <resource-env-ref-name>jms/Queue/senderQueue</resource-env-ref-name>
    <resource-env-ref-type>javax.jms.Queue</resource-env-ref-type>
    </resource-env-ref>
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jms/Topic/senderTopicConnectionFactory</res-ref-name>

    Chunming -- There was a change from v1022x to v902. This was required per the changes in the EJB specification as it was finalized. The tag <jms-destination-type> was changed to <destination-type>. If you make this change in your ejb-jar.xml that should work.
    Thanks -- Jeff

  • Deploying ProductInventory Application --Please help !!!

    Hi, I am trying to deploy the ProductInventory CMP Entity Bean described in the tutorial, I have validated the EJB, which is perfect, however I am getting the following error while deploying.
    Could someone please help me as I am on tight schedule..
    Thanks
    Arup
    /********* ERROR MESSAGE ********/
    Validation failed for ProductInvServer.ProductInvBean. Verify that all fields are mapped.
    CMP Mapping Error in bean ProductInv:: Warning: The bean pcImpl0.moduleComp1.ProductInvServer.ProductInv is not mapped.

    Hi black_lotus,
    Thanks for your reply. When you say upload into the server, do u mean uploading into the local tomcat webserver(/webapps) using the Tomcat Web Admin tool OR uploadin into the myjavaserver.com server.(ftp)
    I tried using the admin tool and gives me an error saying Failing to upload..
    I am not sure what url to use.
    If my url is www.myjavaserver.com/~xyz, then what url should i use at the admin tool to deploy.
    (I used www.myjavaserver.com/~xyz/myapp.war) and I used www.myjavaserver.com/~xyz/web.xml for the XML config file URL. But it did not work. ( I had the war file and config file at myjavaserver.com/~xyz)
    Thanks u for ur reply,
    kits

  • Please Help With toplink deployment

    Hello
    I have a simple j2ee application that runs great in jdeveloper but bombs when I deploy it to my OAS server.
    JDev Version 10.1.2
    OAS 10.1.2
    Technologies used
    Struts, toplink
    I have 1 table I mapped with toplink, I have a toplink-deployment-descriptor.xml, sessions.xml and a TopLink Mappings.
    I have a struts action called kicker.
    In kicker I do the following:
    <code>
    oracle.toplink.tools.sessionconfiguration.XMLLoader xmlLoader = new oracle.toplink.tools.sessionconfiguration.XMLLoader("META-INF/sessions.xml");
    oracle.toplink.tools.sessionmanagement.SessionManager sessionManager = oracle.toplink.tools.sessionmanagement.SessionManager.getManager();
    DatabaseSession session = (DatabaseSession)sessionManager.getSession(xmlLoader, "default", Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader());
    Vector objects = session.readAllObjects(t3.model.NibuSalaryWorksheets.class);
    System.out.println(objects.size());
    request.getSession().setAttribute("results",objects);
    return mapping.findForward("success");
    </code>
    Then in a jsp page I iterate over the results collection and print it out.
    When I try to deploy this it blows up on the server with the following error :
    Local Exception Stack:
    Exception [TOPLINK-6007] (Oracle TopLink - 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.0.0) (Build 060118)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.QueryException
    Exception Description: Missing descriptor for [class t3.model.NibuSalaryWorksheets].
    Query: ReadAllQuery(t3.model.NibuSalaryWorksheets)
    Can someone please help me, I am desparate to use toplink over ejb's but I can't get it to run on the server.
    thanks
    troy

    Seems to be some kind of classloader issue.
    You can check if the session has a descriptor for the class by calling,
    session.getDescriptor(Class.forName("t3.model.NibuSalaryWorksheets"));
    It is most likely that the class is on the classpath twice.
    Instead of loading the sessions.xml with the thread class loader you could try using the classes class loader.
    i.e.
    DatabaseSession session = (DatabaseSession)sessionManager.getSession(xmlLoader, "default", t3.model.NibuSalaryWorksheets.class.getClassLoader());
