EJB Query invalid

I m working on EJB 2.1 in Netweaver 7.1 .  I have export of ejb project which i had developed in Netweaver7.0. I have imported tht project and simply working in EJB2.1 I have written following query for one of the find method
SELECT OBJECT(a) FROM ApplicationMailLogBean a WHERE a.jobAppId =?1 and a.selectionProcessId =?2
but its not validating giving details as
EJB QL statement is invalid:
Inconsistency in schema definition: no type information for field 'jobAppId' of (ApplicationMailLogBean)
where jobAppId name of one of the entity bean field and ApplicationMailLogBean one of the entity. How to resolve this issue???

It's hard to know exactly, just given this.
is this a regression from a previous release (I suspect not).
As an experiment, would be be possible to try replacing the BETWEEN
expressions with something like ?n > lower_value AND ?n < upper_value
and seeing if this makes a difference ?

  • HFR Issues - "5200: Error executing query: Invalid Item ID"

    Hi All,
    We are using Hyperion HFM application 11.1.1.3. Recently we have upgraded the Oralce Database to 11.2.0.2 and reconfigured the HFM application with this new database version. When I tried to run the Financial reporting through the HFR studio, I am getting error message - "5200: Error executing query: Invalid Item ID". Please could you help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Aravindh K

    This was due to an invalid default Point of View for the user that was incompatible with the particular report.
    Change the Preferences to User Point of View Preview and run the report again.
    File > Preference > Financial Reporting > Select Preview "ON" under USer Point of View box.
    Re-run the report and select the desired POV.
    This will prompt the user to change their POV every time he or she opens a report. They can select the correct POV and the report runs correctly.
    You can turn off later. Let me know if it fixed this issue.

    Did anything change on the database side? Alias, member name? "Error executing query" usually is associated with a change in the database.

  • EJB query language help!!

    Hi all, I have been trying to run a ejb query on JBoss 4.0.5, using built in hypersonic db, For some strange reasons am able to fetch all objects from db without any where clause but if am using a where clause with an attribute name from the entitybean am unable to retrieve any results.
    I get an org.hibernate.QueryException, could not resolve property : "property name"
    My ejb query looks like this...
    SELECT template FROM TemplateSelect template WHERE template.template_name='Template_One'
    TemplateSelect is my entity bean class and I do have an attribute named template_name in my bean class.
    could any one please suggest me what could be wrong and also direct me to a good tutorial on ejb query language as well as I am fairly new to hibernate and ejb3 !
    tons of thanks in advance!
    pravin

    Hi Anuradha ,
    I'm afraid the query language does not support retrieving the date portion (i.e. truncating the time) from a date field.
    I propose you turn you named into a BETWEEN query taking two parameters one for the beginning of the day and another for the end of the day. Then your named query could look like:
    SELECT max(o.req_id) FROM requests o WHERE o.requestdate BETWEEN :start AND :end
    The following code creates two calendar instances for the current day, one for 00:00:00 and another for 23:59:59:
    Calendar start = Calendar.getInstance();
    start.set(Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY, 0);
    start.set(Calendar.MINUTE, 0);
    start.set(Calendar.SECOND, 0);
    start.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0);
    Calendar end = Calendar.getInstance();
    end.set(Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY, 23);
    end.set(Calendar.MINUTE, 59);
    end.set(Calendar.SECOND, 59);
    end.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 999);
    Here is some sample code that creates a query instance for a named query called findMaxRequestPerDay and passes the Date of the above Calendar instance as actual parameter values. It assumes the named query is called findMaxRequestPerDay and the req_id field is a long:
    Query query = em.createNamedQuery("findMaxRequestPerDay");
    query.setParameter("start", start.getTime());
    query.setParameter("end", end.getTime());
    Long max = (Long)query.getSingleResult();
    I hope this helps.

  • Is EJB query language supports UNION

    Hi All,
    Can anyone suggest me is EJB query language supports UNION type of select queries
    if possible can any one suggest me how to convert below Sql query to Ejb ql
    Ex:
    select * from table1 where id='10'
    union all
    select * from table1 where id='20'

    The UNION clause specifies a combination of the output of two subqueries. The two queries must return the same number of elements and compatible types
    1.You cannot use dependent value objects with UNION.
    2.UNION ALL combines all results together in a single collection.
    3.UNION combines results but eliminates duplicates.
    4.If ORDER BY is used together with UNION, the ORDER BY
    must refer to selection expression using integer numbers.
    Example:
    This example returns a collection of all employee objects of type EmpBean and all manager objects of type ManagerBean where ManagerBean is a subtype of EmpBean.
    select e from EmpBean e union all select m from DeptBean d, in(d.mgr) mThis example shows a query that is not valid, because EmpBean and DeptBean are not compatible.
    select e from EmpBean e union all select d from DeptBean d
    Your Example:
    Select e from Table1Bean e where e.id=10
    union all
    Select e from Table1Bean e where e.id=10

  • What's wrong with this ejb-query?

    Hi people,
    may be i worked too much, may be i've just missed something, but guys, can enyone tell me what the hell is wrong with this GOD DAMNED query?
    <ejb-ql>Select Object(adt) From AddrDataTable AS adt, IN (adt.addresseeQualities) AS aq WHERE adt.season.id = ?1 And aq.aQTemplate.id=?2</ejb-ql>
    That JBoss throws following exception:
    org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: Error compiling EJB-QL statement 'Select Object(adt) From AddrDataTable AS adt, IN (adt.addresseeQualities) AS aq WHERE adt.season.id = ?1 And aq.aQTemplate.id=?2'; - nested throwable: (org.jboss.ejb.plugins.cmp.ejbql.ParseException: Encountered "1" at line 1, column 103.

    at org.jboss.ejb.plugins.cmp.jdbc.JDBCEJBQLQuery.<init>(JDBCEJBQLQuery.java:50)
    The worst thing is that when i remove WHERE clause JBoss keeps silence like a fish - it works fine!
    So, any ideas about this?
    Thank you

    Are you sure the ?1 and ?2 parameters exist in the method for which the query is addressed.
    In the statement adt.season.id I guess season is a CMR field and then season has a CMP field called id
    and the same for aq.aQTemplate.id, aQTemplate being the CMR field and the is being a CMP field in the CMR.
    and in adt.addresseeQualities is a CMR field?
    Looks like a complex query
    SELECT OBJECT(adt) from BEAN AS adt,
    IN(adt.CMR_FIELD) AS aq
    WHERE
    adt.ANOTHER_CMR.ANOTHER_AMR_CMP_FIELD=?1
    AND
    aq.2_CMR_FIELD.2_CMP_FIELD =?2

  • 1.6 LOV query invalid, was working in 1.5

    The following LOV query was valid in 1.5:
    select rd.name, rd.refdata_id from refdata rd, refdata_meta meta where meta.name = 'Title' and rd.refdata_meta_id = meta.refdata_meta_id and (:20_PATIENT_ID IS NOT NULL OR visible = 'Y') order by rank
    This query is being flagged as invalid in 1.6. The problem appears to be the parenthetical OR clause, since taking it out passes validation. The error message is:
    "LOV query is invalid, a display and a return value are needed, the column names need to be different. If your query contains an in-line query, the first FROM clause in the SQL statement must not belong to the in-line query."
    Seems to me that the validator is equating the existence of a left parenthesis with an inline query, which of course is incorrect as the above perfectly valid SQL demonstrates.
    The query with the OR clause operates to populate the LOVs just fine in my existing app migrated from 1.5, so this is a maintenance and new app creation issue.
    I can of course work around it by views as needed to support a simplified LOV query, but I would much rather just get the former level of functionality back. Any prospect of fixing what appears to me to be a bug in the LOV query validator for the 1.6 platform?
    thanks,
    susan weber

    Susan,
    In 1.6, we introduced LOV query validations, to help head off problems before runtime. Looks like in this case, the check has a bug. It's trying to parse your SQL as if it were a query in a region and it fails because of the item name you are using that begins with a numeric digit and is followed by non-numeric characters. Such a query fails to parse with DBMS_SQL.PARSE. But the query does work, as you know, in an LOV, where EXECUTE IMMEDIATE with a USING clause handles it okay.
    So we have three bugs, the LOV query validation algorithm, the misleading validation failure message, and the bug that allows users to create and use items with names that are not valid Oracle identifiers. Thanks for pointing this out.
    Your workaround is to use v('20_PATIENT_ID') instead of using bind variable notation.

  • SSMS 2012: Using CTE in a query - Invalid column name 'EmployeeID' !!??

    Hi all,
    From Page 88 of the Book "SQL Programming & Database Design Using Microsoft SQL Server 2012" written by Kalman Toth, I copied the following code of Using CTE in a query:
    -- CTETest2.sql /// saved in C:\My Documents\SQL Server Management Studio\
    ----Page 88 of Book by Toth === Using CTE in a query ----- 13 March 2015
    --Using CTE in a query
    ;WITH CTE (SalesPersonID, NumberOfOrders, MostRecentOrderDate)
    AS (SELECT SalesPersonID, COUNT(*), CONVERT(date, MAX(OrderDate))
    FROM Sales.SalesOrderHeader GROUP BY SalesPersonID )
    --Start of outer (main) query
    SELECT E.EmployeeID,
    OE.NumberOfOrders AS EmpOrders,
    OE.MostRecentOrderDate AS EmpLastOrder,
    E.ManagerID,
    OM.NumberOfOrders AS MgrOrders,
    OM.MostRecentOrderDate AS MgrLastOrder
    FROM HumanResources.Employee AS E
    INNER JOIN CTE AS OE ON E.EmployeeID = OE.SalesPersonID
    LEFT OUTER JOIN CTE AS OM ON E.ManagerID = OM.SalesPersonID
    In my SQL Server 2012 Management Studio, I executed this set of code and I got the following fatal error:
    Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Line 16
    Invalid column name 'EmployeeID'.
    I have no clues why I got this error message in this .sql trial of my second practice in doing CTE.  Please kindly help and let me know where I made mistake and how to resolve this problem.
    Thanks in advance,
    Scott Chang

    Hi scott_morris-ga, Thanks for your nice response.
    I changed EmployeeID to BusinessEntityID as you pointed out and executed the revised code:
    -- CTETest2.sql /// saved in C:\My Documents\SQL Server Management Studio\
    ----Page 88 of Book by Toth === Using CTE in a query ----- 13 March 2015
    --Using CTE in a query
    ;WITH CTE (SalesPersonID, NumberOfOrders, MostRecentOrderDate)
    AS (SELECT SalesPersonID, COUNT(*), CONVERT(date, MAX(OrderDate))
    FROM Sales.SalesOrderHeader GROUP BY SalesPersonID )
    --Start of outer (main) query
    SELECT E.BusinessEntityID,
    OE.NumberOfOrders AS EmpOrders,
    OE.MostRecentOrderDate AS EmpLastOrder,
    E.ManagerID,
    OM.NumberOfOrders AS MgrOrders,
    OM.MostRecentOrderDate AS MgrLastOrder
    FROM HumanResources.Employee AS E
    INNER JOIN CTE AS OE ON E.BusinessEntityID = OE.SalesPersonID
    LEFT OUTER JOIN CTE AS OM ON E.ManagerID = OM.SalesPersonID
    I got 2 new error messages:
    Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Line 17
    Invalid column name 'ManagerID'.
    Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Line 12
    Invalid column name 'ManagerID'.
    I have no ideas what should be used to replace 'ManagerID' in my revised code. Could you please help again and give me the right thing to replace the 'ManagerID'? By the way, where in the AdventureWorks do you find the right things?  Please enlighten
    me in this matter.
    Many Thanks again,  Scott Chang

  • EJB Query Language

    Hi All,
         I am using SAP Netweaver Developer Studio(2004)version.I want to know that EJB2.0 Query Language will
    support Joins,Internal select statement with in a select
    statement or not.Is it posssible or not.I have a requirement lilke this,I have to use joins.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Guru

    Guruvulu,
    In EJB QL you may operate on objects relations (both 0..1 and 0..n) in the same way as with joins in SQL. So the answer is yes.
    Read free <a href="http://www.theserverside.com/books/wiley/masteringEJB/downloads/MasteringEJB3rdEd.pdf">Mastering EJB</a> book -- it contains separate chapter on EJB QL.

  • EJB query..

    Hello friends.,
    I have a small query on Enterprise Java Beans..EJB bean class doesn't implement Remote Interface.,but still provides the definition of the business functions in the Remote Interface..how is that possible??

    @Remote (and @Local) lets the container know that its a remote (or local) interface so you don't actually need to implement it in your session bean.
    I do implement it anyway else when writing code the interface contract is not enforced by IDE's (well, in Eclipse anyway) so you could write a ton of methods on the interface and forget to implement one in the bean and won't find out until Runtime.

  • LOV Query Invalid

    Hello.
    I am uisng Apex 4.1 on Oracle 10.2.0.5 and Oracle App Server.
    Would someone please tell me why the following LOV query is causing the dreaded error:
    LOV query is invalid, a display and a return value are needed, the column names need to be different. If your query contains an in-line query, the first FROM clause in the SQL statement must not belong to the in-line query.
    select d, r
    from
    select
    '(select)' as d,
    'javascript:void(0)' as r
    from dual
    union
    select
    initcap(INFO_NAME) as d,
    'javascript:popUp2(''' || INFO_LINK || ''', 1000, 800);' as r
    from INFO_LINKS
    order by 1Running this query in the SQL Commands section returns the result set without problem.
    Related to this, I've noticed that I am getting this same error for many similar LOV "complex" queries that involve things like UNIONs or sub-queries. In fact, when I bring up an already working LOV query in the LOV editor and then simply click the "OK" button without modifying the query, I get this same error. WHY?
    Thanks in advance for any help on this.
    Elie

    Hello Everyone.
    I just realized what my mistake is.
    Many of the individual lines in my LOV query are ending with a carriage-return character. And so, the following code line is literally concantonated with the previous line.
    Once I added one or more space characters to the end of each code line, Apex accepted the query without problem.
    Whew! That was tricky, indeed.
    And this is why many of my other already working queries suddenly caused the error when I clcik the OK button in the LOV editor. For some reason, bringing up these already existing, working queries stripped awawy any space characters from the very end of the code codes.
    I hope this helps others facing the same issue.

    Please Help,

    Hi Deepak,
    First of all, thanks for answering.
    Do you mean I should place that query within "weblogic-query" tag in the weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml?
    I tried comment the query part in ejb-jar.xml with the ammended weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml.
    The ejb compiler fail to compile the ejb because it cannot find the coresponse

    Can you state a simple example this case with descriptors?, the descriptor make

    SCOM version : SCOM 2012 R2

    Alert description: Object enumeration failed
    Query: 'SELECT * FROM MetaFrame_Server WHERE ServerName="server Name"'
    HRESULT: 0x80041010
    Details: Invalid class
    One or more workflows were affected by this.
    Workflow name: Citrix.PresentationServer.ActiveSessions.PerformanceMonitor

    First try it with WBEMTEST to see what is going with the WMI class. The error you are getting usually means WMI misses that class and you should load the mof again/ maybe rebuild the entire repository (careful as the windows files are all located
    on 1 folder, but applications tend to store it in their own folders, like citrix, ibm, etc).
    Try to run this command:
    mofcomp "<Programfiles>\Citrix\System32\Citrix\WMI\ .Mof file for citrix"
    {citrixProv.XP10FR3.mof, metaframeProv.XP10FR3.mof, and mgmt.XP10FR4.mof files}
    Then, run the WBEMTest again and the namespace should be returned successfully. Then restarting the health service on agent.
