EJB Update one field

Hi,
Up until now, most of my forms in jsf have had all the fields in the ejb. So when I did mergeEntity all the fields where updated with the correct data. Now I have a form that has just the ID of the ejb and one field. Now when I do mergeEntity all the other fields are set to null. Shouldn't mergeEntity just update the field I am setting? What do I need to do to update just one field in the ejb without bringing all the other fields in or is there an easy why to do that?

You're not supposed to put ## around it. That makes
Coldfusion look for a variable named "originated" inside a
structure named "affiliate", which obviously isn't what you want to
do.
In my query, I didn't have any hashes around field2.
Change your query to:

Help with centrally locating a script so it updates all fields?

Hello,
At work we use a form I built that shows were each employee in assigned for the day. We have some part-time personal and I've made it so that they show up in red where all normal employee's show up as black. This works great, my issue is when a new employee is hired or a part-time goes full time I am having to go into each individual field and change this script. There is 60 fields total so as you would imagine this takes a lot of time to update just one employee. Below is a sample of the script I am using to designate if the name should be black (full-time) or red (part-time).
Is there a way that I can point all fields to one location? Then I would only have to update one field and it fix them all??

OK, remove all of the code from the document JavaScript and replace it with the code shown below. When you need to update the names in the dropdowns, set up a button and use the following as its Mouse Up script:

You can hide the button and unhide it whenever you need to update, and then hide it again. You can also run that line of code from the interactive JavaScript console, but a button is a bit easier.
This way, you just have to add names and what color you want for each by editing the oEmpNames object code. When you're done editing the list of names, run the updateDropdowns routine and all of the dropdowns will be updated with the new list.

Native SQL Update statement error when more than one field used

Hi, I would make it simple. I update directly to a SQL server.
1-
When I update only one field works.
LOOP AT IT_MAT.
EXEC SQL.
UPDATE Articulos SET PrecioSinImp = :IT_MAT-PRECIOSINIMP        WHERE Modelo = :IT_MAT-MODELO
ENDEXEC.
ENDLOOP.
This give me sy-subrc = 0
When I Try to update several fields doesnt works, any would can help me ?.

2- BTW, I have to leave this report program in a job so the data would be updated once a day in a job, so I have to update the existing data and add new one.
I Was thinking doing something like this.

IF sy-subrc <> 0.
INSERT DQL TABLE
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
This may works ??? because if this not work, I have to select single each one of the data in the SQL table, if it was founded UPDATE otherwise INSERT. And I dont like this aproach.

I feel that your requirement is as below:
Depending on the criteria in the where clause, check whether the record exists or not.. If it does, then update the record with new values, else, create a new record..
You can do the same as below:
LOOP AT it_mat INTO e_mat. (e_mat of same structure as it_mat)
MOVE : xxx TO e_mat-yyy... and so on (Only change the non-key values)
MODIFY dbtable FROM e_mat.
ENDLOOP.
This code will create a new record if a record with the given key values in e_mat is not found, else, it will update the existing record with the new non-key values in the structure e_mat.

LSMW to update only one field in materials

Hello experts,
My requirement is to update only one field 'HRKFT-Origin Group as Subdivision of Cost Element' in material using LSMW. I tried with Standard Batch/Direct Input -> Object - 0020, Method - 0000. But it was not successful as it gave me warning - 'The material cannot be maintained since no maintainable data transferred' at the end.
Now I want to try this using BAPI method in LSMW. But it is showing me error - No target structures could be determined..
Please guide me.

i tried the same and am able to do it using LSMW Batch i/p. Object - 0020, Method - 0000.
There in source fields define material, plant and origin grp. in structure relations map the below
BGR00 Batch Input Structure for Session Data                       <<<< MBEW1 Material COsting
      Select Target Structure BGR00 .
    BMM00 Material Master: Transaction Data for Batch Input            <<<< MBEW1 Material COsting
          Select Target Structure BMM00 .
        BMMH1 Material Master: Transfer of Main Data                       <<<< MBEW1 Material COsting
Next in field mapping map those 3 fields: material, plant and origin grp.
while testing do one thing. first take the data and try the same using MM02 manually. if tht is working fine ( i mean if the material is having costing view and you are able to chnage the origin group). then test with the same material, plant and a different origin grp. It will work.

One field on update screen refuses to update.

What the subject line means is this: I have one field (but only one) on my update screen that won't accept a change. When I click Apply Changes it shifts back to the interactive report showing the previous value of that field. I can change anything else in the record.
I added it to the table some time after describing and building the table by APEX. All the other fields are still modifiable. I thought I defined it the same way as all the others, but I appear to be wrong.
In common with two other fields, this table accesses a unique list of values.

How can I modify / update T002C's only one field

Hi everyone ;
I would like to write dialog programing code. After I am writing call screen screennumber, I would like to generate a design in screen painter.But screen painter doesn't open. There is an error.
Error says ' EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'#' and I search about this error. I solve the problem. Solution is T002C table's secondary language field must be writing , not empty.
When I would like to update the field's of T002C tables sap is giving an error. Error is 'Table maintenance not allowed for table T002C'.
How can I modify the field's of table T002C?

dont know about the stock taking object but may be the grpo object would help

Getting a permission error while updating a field.

I want to update a field in OIM and push the same to OID. When i try to update it for like 20 times it woks for 18 times and doesnt work for couple of times. I check the log and i get the below error.....

Unable to update a field using the Data tab on a VIEW

When viewing data using a VIEW instead of going to the table directly, am unable to change the values in any of the fields
When I click on the list of VIEWs for a schema, then select a view that is based on a SELECT statement for a single table with a Primary key, and then click on the DATA tab to modify the value in one of the fields, SQL Developer does not allow me to change the value.
Went into SQL Plus, and was able to execute an UPDATE statement against the same row of that VIEW, and update that field ("UPDATE vw_mytable SET thisfield = 'YES' WHEN row_id_number = 1'").
Does SQL Developer not allow updating tables through a VIEW?
Will it allow updating in the future? Please say yes.
Oracle 10g DB and latest version of SQL Developer.

i want to update PRODH field from table T179T into table VBRP. for this we
need to take selection option also.
selection option will be :

while i have done this for one field by using hard code but like:

but this is not the right way. please guide me how to solve this.

Update Z field from BSIK into BSAK when closing

Hi,
I have created Z field in BSIK table using "Append structure" option. I also created identical field via same option in table BSAK. When I clear open item system "delete" that item in table BSIK and create identical item in table BSAK (BSIK - open items; BSAK-closed items), BSIK and BSAK have same structure because of this trensfer of open items from BSIK to BSAK during open item clearing. My problem - when open item is cleared and item is transferd from BSIK to BSAK my Z field is not updated by system. Is it possible to set this in customizing or is there another way to update this Z field in BSAK when someone clear open items - user exit, modification or ???.

I tried to find out suitable event for this in fibf but withouth success. Could you suggest event that will be suitable for this purpuse.
One more thing - if I reverse clearing (via transaction FBRA) system will transfer closed item from BSAK to BSIK and during that process Z field will not be updated so I also need event to update this field durind reverse clearing.

Master Detail Form - How 2 update a field in the Detail form using a query?

Hello,
I have a master detail form with, each master record having a fixed(6) number of detail records. One of the fields in the detail record is the PART_DESCRIPTION field. I am trying to update this field by querying Table_X. TABLE_X is in the format of (desciption id, description). Description id runs from 1 to 6.
When the form displays, the PART_DESCRIPTION field for the 6 detail records needs to be automatically populated with the six values of description stored in Table_X. How can this be done?
Tried using session storage objects, but made no headway.
Would greatly appreciate pointers on how to go about doing this.

How can I update data fields in a merged document ?

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to update the values of data fields in a merged document with a script just as you can do with the user interface.
I don't find any method like "updateDataFields ()" in the DataMerge object.
Si I try to invoke the menu action "Update Data Fields", but it fails. The script error message is: "Error 53762, the script is not active." On the contrary, the action works if I use the interface.
Can anyone help me?
