Update Z field from BSIK into BSAK when closing

Hi,
I have created Z field in BSIK table using "Append structure" option. I also created identical field via same option in table BSAK. When I clear open item system "delete" that item in table BSIK and create identical item in table BSAK (BSIK - open items; BSAK-closed items), BSIK and BSAK have same structure because of this trensfer of open items from BSIK to BSAK during open item clearing. My problem - when open item is cleared and item is transferd from BSIK to BSAK my Z field is not updated by system. Is it possible to set this in customizing or is there another way to update this Z field in BSAK when someone clear open items - user exit, modification or ???.

I tried to find out suitable event for this in fibf but withouth success. Could you suggest event that will be suitable for this purpuse.
One more thing - if I reverse clearing (via transaction FBRA) system will transfer closed item from BSAK to BSIK and during that process Z field will not be updated so I also need event to update this field durind reverse clearing.

But this code would make vbrp-vbeln as plc01 only.
If you want to get the prodh value from t179t, then write a sleect on t179t and then update.

I imported videos from photo into iMovie when I set up iMovie (obvious mistake) and now iMovie doesn't work properly, nor can I move specific videos into a folder where I want them. How do I fix this?

I even tried deleting iMovie, bought a new copy and installed it, but the folder "iPhoto Videos" is still there and I can't get new clips loaded to iMovie, especially where I want them. Please help.

The iPhoto Videos do occasionally have problems. I've seen a lot of people write messages to this Discussion group describing similar problems. The only thing that seems to get around this problem is to pull the video clips out of iPhoto then import them directly into iMovie. Once the troubles with iPhoto Videos starts, I haven't yet seen anyone write back with something that they did to fix it.
The most difficult part of doing this is the movies in iPhoto might be a little difficult to track down. But you can create a smart alum that does that for you. Go to iPhoto > File Menu > New Smart Album:
Set the first pulldown menu to keyword, second to contains, then in the last box type Movie with a capital 'M'. Then click OK. This smart album more or less does as search of the whole iPhoto Library and only displays items that match your search tearm of "Movie" exactly. In that smart album then you can find the original Movies you want to move out of iPhoto and into iMovie, <CTRL> click on the Movie clip, then choose Reveal in Finder. That will jump you out of iPhoto temporarily and into the iPhoto Library folder. From there you can move that movie file to the desktop. Move all the clips you want, once they're all collected up go to iMovie and go to the File Menu > Import Files. Then point it to the desktop where you moved your video clips.
This will put all those videos into an Event folder in iMovie and bypass iPhoto Videos altogether.

Distribution of fields from screen into different tabs in tabstrip.

Hi All,
I am having a screen 400 in program 'SAPLMR1M' which is the main program for MIRO transaction.
The screen is having some 15 fields into it.
When I run the MIRO transaction, I can see some of those fields appearing in the different tabs.
My question is if a screen has 10 fields. Can I get the fields from one single screen distributed in different tabs in a tabstrip.
Eg. 2 fields in tab1.
4 fields in tab2.
4 fields in tab3.

Yes. It is possible.
If you consider any transaction then it contains various tables for updation.
Suppose if a screen contains 10 fields . Then 2 situations arises:
1) If all that 10 fields belong to the same table then we can get directly based on the key value into any number of tab strips.
2) Incase if we have field from more than 1 table then we have to create separate internal tables for each tabstrip and based on primary key we have to fetch the data using JOINS or FOR ALL ENTRIES and you can display in the tabstrips or table controls.

Importing from camera into lightroom when camera is connected

I used to be able to import photos into lightroom when my camera is connected. I somehow am no longer able to do this, maybe because of updates, but I am not sure? I am using version 1.3.1 on a pc running windows vista professional, and my camera is a Canon Rebel Xti. The problem I have is that using windows to import is too slow and it has caused duplicate filenames of files. So I'd love to be able to have lightroom import from the camera like it used to. Cheers

Hello. I've seen photographers have portrait setups that have the camera connected to the computer, and as soon as they take a picture, the new image is imported.
I tried using "auto import" but it's not working properly. I'm shooting Nikon D200 and it has 2 USB modes: P2P and Mass Storage. In the former, I can't have "auto import" on because it needs to read from a folder and it's being read as a "device" instead. In the latter, I'd have to disconnect the camera to take the picture, reconnect it, but it doesn't detect a change (new picture) and so it won't auto-upload. I also have Bridge CS3 which I believe should do what I want it to do, but can't find it on there either.
Does anyone have a solution?

How to update address fields from a different view?

I have created a context node(Model Attribute) of standard address fields using BuilAddress in a view that doesn't have it and successfully displayed them. This is contacts view where the original address of the contact is not available. Now our requirement is to update the standard address if needed from the contacts view itself. How can I do this? The address fields are available for display only, even if I want to update them using code based on some condtions if not manual entry how can I achieve that?
Did anyone ever use CRM_BP_UIU_SAVE Badi? I see no posts related to this in forum. Can anyone give me a sample code on what can be done in here and what data of BP is accessible in this BADI and how?

Are you sure I can update the address fields using BAPI's from WEBUI? I have tried this already and the BAPI or Function just woudn't call, always return with error message. I was thinking that BAPI's and Functions for updating just wouldn't work from WEBUI.
To give you more details, I am in the BP_DATA/AccountContactEF view. I added the context node Address and brought in all the fields from BUILADDRESS structure, it generated the get, set methods for me. I want to update a couple of fields like telephone info, street, city etc. In this view I just redefined Create_Contact method and I tried to update the address using BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE for the contact person and it never works. I also tried BUPA_ADDRESS_REMOVE to delete and add the new address using BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD, but that wouldn't work either.
So that is why I am exploring the option of using BADI, which I found out is very similar. I was able to access pretty much everything of BP data and Contact data. but there also the functions or Bapi's wont work.
Let me know if you did anything similar. Also as you mentioned the GET_I method, Context node creation Wizard generated it for me and I have the field editable, its just that when I save it , it wont save and the old values are read back and populated. Meaning if I have 'NY' for region and I change it to 'CA' , after save 'NY' comes back.

This does not have any records as of now.
I have to fetch data from a DATABASE TABLE with fields A , B , X , Y , Z having records .
I only need records for fields A B fron DB table.Can any one pls tell how can I do that with performance issues in mind as lots of records are there.
I had written a query where:
SELECT A B from dbtab
into CORRESPONDING FIELDS of table it_table.
It_table i had defined with only two fields A B.
Is this correct?

Updating a field from info from another table

I am trying to update a field in a table by the data from another lookup table. These tables have to be linked by two columns, not just one. It seems like I have to use a sub query to extract data from the lookup table. I am unable to get a correct syntax for the SQL statements.
Does anyone has any ideas??

UPDATE table_B t2 SET t2.col1 = (SELECT t1.col1 FROM table_A t1 WHERE t1.col2 = t2.col2 AND t1.col3 = t2.col3);
table_B is the table whose col1 needs to be updated with col1 of table_A. The join conditions are two (with col2 and col3)

BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE to update Z fields from LIKP

Im using BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE bapi to change some fields from LIKP/LIPS table. Now, i have to update also some Z fields from this tables.
I see that the bapi has Extension1 and Extension2 tables but i don't know how to use them. I have been looking for the forum and i have found you have to fill some structures with the Z fields, but i don't find them for deliveries. Also, i have read that you have to do it through an user exit, but i don't know what user exit and what relation it has with Extension tables.
Anybody knows how to do it?

For changing the delivery quantity through BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE you need to pass the following data :
HEADER_DATA : Delivery no.
DELIVERY : Delivery no.
ITEM_DATA : Delivery no,
item no,
DLV_QTY quantity(changed),
FACT_UNIT_NOM ( default to value '1')
FACT_UNIT_DENOM ( default to value '1')
ITEM_CONTROL : Delivey no,
item no,
CHG_DELQTY ( value "X")
The import parameter Extension1 and Extension2 are available for customer enhancements. Extension1 is an unstructured data container that is available for any use.
Extension2 is a structured data container available for any use.

Updating 'SEGMENT' field from transaction FB60 using FAGL_DERIVE_SEGMENT

In our project we are using BADI FAGL_DERIVE_SEGMENT to automatically determine the field 'SEGMENT' from FB60 transaction.
This problem only occurs when the field 'Segment' has been updated, because upon creation the value is filled and calculated correctly by the BADI. But it seems that on modification, the BADI is not being called, and therefore the field remains unchanged.
(This only happens in the table control, because when double-clicking on the line we see that the value is correctly updated)
Does anyone know any OSS note or any solution (maybe another BADI or configuration) to always have the value updated in the table control?

Through inbound IDOC, if the material already exists then material no will also be passed.
Use WE19. and give the value for MEINS and check in debug mode.

The table(s) look like:

Any help would be great!There's no WHERE clause in that UPDATE statement, so every row of the target table will be modified.
if you only want to modify the rows that have a match in the source table, then add a WHERE clause (perhaps "WHERE EXISTS (...) with a sub-query very miuch like the one you already have), or use MERGE instead of UPDATE.
If you'd like help, post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements to re-create the tables as they exist before the UPDATE, and also post the contents of the changed table after the UPDATE.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using.
Perhaps you want something like this:

assuming emp is unique, at least in other_db.
This will work in Oracle 10 (and up). In Oracle 9, MERGE always requires a WHEN MATCHED clause, so add one if you must. it doesn't matter what it does; the USING subquery will only return matches.

Updating a field that generates random number when form is reset..

I have a field that will generate a random number when the form is initially opened. THis fiekd runs an initialization script of : var randomnumber=Math.floor(math.random()*99999) and then a calculation script of randomnumber.
The field value is set as Calculated - Read Only.
When I hit the Reset button and it clears all the input fields for the form i would like to have it re calculate a new random number. I am not knowledgable in any scripting language and what I have so far I found by searching the forums.

I don't know if it should matter, but the field to update is on a page other than the one with the reset button. And, the above is not working.

Ashka, I have tried to "transfer purchases from device" but that is what I am saying that I do not see the app in the "mobile applications" directory after I do that process. How to insert field from form into subject line of email

I have a form:

and I would like to have the name of the person fill in automatically in the subject line. Right now when the email button is clicked the subject line reads: "Submitted Human Sequencing Tertiary Analysis Submission Form." Once the form is filled out, I would like the subject line to read: "[PI-Name] - Submitted Human Sequencing Tertiary Analysis Submission Form," (as highlighted below)

Sets into sleep when closing le lid, even with the display connected

I have the problem, that when I close the lid of my MacBook, it goes to sleep mod. This even happens when I connect the display. Even following the steps on the Apple.com page, it still goes into sleep mode.
Please help me avoid this sleep mode problem, I want to use my display instead of my computers screen. (yes, I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, paired all of them)

Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
You can't avoid it. This is the way it's supposed to work.
If you have the AC adapter plugged in, an external display plugged in and an external mouse and keyboard (USB or Bluetooth), you can WAKE the computer after it's gone to sleep with the lid closed. But it will go to sleep when you close it. This is detailed here:
