EJB3 using xml descriptors with DAO

Does anyone know where I can find example resources of EJB3 using xml and not annotations with DAOs? The examples I find are using annotations.
Thanks in advance.

ok,
midp2.0 isn't the problem...i installed IBM's JVM J9 but still i have no clue of how to get access to captured images using java!
a way would be to use a JVM that implements MMAPI but i only found one (esmertecs) and that one is not free:/
Does anyone have an idea how i can access captured images through IBM's JVM J9 for instance??
There exists a MMAPI RI (reference implementation) from sun....does anyone know if i can port that RI to Palm OS?
there is a porting guide in that RI that is very complex but im not sure if i will get a JVM out of it that supports MMAPI?
...pls anyone any ideas on this??

  • "Error while using XML iview" with XML iview template

    Our portal platform: HP-UX,  WAS 6.40 JAVA, EP 6.0 SP14
    We created an XML iview using XML iview template and configured the XML source URL with RSS feeder addresses such as"https://forums.sdn.sap.com/rss/rssmessages.jsp?forumID=41". And then select RSS to XHTMLB as the XML transformation format and save.  When I try to preview the iview, I always got error "Error while using XML iview, please contact your system administrator".  Here is the log and among which I found an error "java.net.UnknownHostException: news.163.com".  Does this indicate that the Portal server is not able to interpret the address of the URL host?

  • How to get & use xml data with jstl libraries? (URGENT PLZ)

    I am using jstl to get and use xml data
    I needs to perform operations on the parsed xml document with other libraries of jstl. How can i do that.
    I used Dom variable to parse my document as:

    I can dislay this value in html by

    I believe that <c:set> should do that but i am facing problem in it. Look into this jsp scriptlet:
    1-<x:parse varDom="test"> <c:import url="project.xml"/> </x:parse>
    2-<x:set var="ds" select="$test/project/projectName"/>
    3-<x:out select="$ds"/> <br>
    4-<c:set var="tt" value="${ds}" />
    5-<c:out value="${tt}" />
    In line 3 variable ds returns: myProject
    In line 5 variable tt returns: [[projectName: null]]
    perhaps on line 4 ds is storing some array to tt and i am not calling correct array element. I tried many options but still could not find solution. Plz Plz do something urgent for me. Thanks

  • Using XML DB with Oracle Drive as Webdav client

    Hi all -
    I'm looking into using XML DB (10g) to store files so we can query their content via SQL/XPATH and then access/edit them via Webdav.
    Windows Vista makes this easy, since it can map a drive to a Webdav URL. Mac OSX can do a similar thing.
    Windows XP however can't do the drive mapping for WebDav on a port other than port 80, which is our setup.
    So I tried out Oracle Drive, which I stumbled across on some site somewhere, and it worked. But it was an old version, so I downloaded the "official" version from Oracle, which is v10.2.0.0.22. This version refuses to connect to XML DB no matter what I do. I've fiddled with authentication, proxies, and so on (there are several posts elsewhere with hints on this) but so far no joy.
    Has anyone had any experience making the latest version of Oracle Drive talk to XML DB?
    Many Thanks

    Thanks for replying.
    Yes, we may decide to move XML DB to port 80, but there are other services running on our server and such a move would be a significant hassle.
    As for Windows XP, it is not possible to do this: net use * http://server:8080/public
    This works on Vista, but it only works on XP if you use port 80.
    Note that XP has TWO built in Webdav clients: Web Folders (= Network Places) which is a feature in Explorer, and the Webdav Mini-Director which works at the file-system level. I don't think Web Folders can work for us since we need to be able to create a real filepath to give to our editor application. Maybe I'm wrong on that, but I can't figure it out.
    Oracle Drive seems to be a great solution, but I can't make the most recent version work (the old version worked but was buggy).

  • Problems using XML DB with Schema

    Hi,
    I am attempting to use Java code running on WebLogic Server 10.3 to insert some XML documents into an Oracle Database (11gr1) and have them ‘shredded’ into columns, as the documentation claims is possible.
    I registered the XML Schema with Oracle using SQL*Plus, and have verified that tables and types are being built as expected. (Partial details below if needed.)
    I am able to insert records into the table, using XMLType, but they do not appear to be shredded in such a way that we can perform relational queries on them. References I found on the Oracle web site and others implied that if the XMLType is created with a schema associated, the insert will perform the shredding.
    When I attempt to create the XMLType with a schema in either of the two ways below, I get SQLExceptions.
    xml = XMLType.createXML(conn,doc.toString(), schema, true, true);
    Or
    xml = xml.createSchemaBasedXML(schema); // after a successful XMLType.createXML(conn, doc.toString());
    The most recent error is java.sql.SQLException: Fail to convert to internal representation (full stack trace along with the doc.toString() is below).
    How can I get more insight into what is causing this problem? Is there a more appropriate way to persist XML documents into Oracle relational tables? Is there some sample code/tutorial I can use that shows how to do this?
    Thank you,

    Thanks - I have been fighting with another problem for the past few days, but am getting back to this now...
    I think the second link you sent helped me realize that the particular error came while using the 'thin' driver; I had other problems when I used the OCI driver... I'll try it again and see, now that I'm using a container managed datasource...
    I registered the schema in SQL*Plus using the command:
    BEGIN
    DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.registerURI(
    'http://foo.org/mySchema',
    '/home/foo/mySchema.xsd',
    LOCAL=>TRUE, GENTYPES=>TRUE, GENBEAN=>FALSE, GENTABLES=>TRUE);
    END;
    Everything created, was created from that command. I did use xdb annotations, but perhaps I didn't use enough of them...
    In this simple example (I have more complicated ones) there are only the two attributes; I've been hoping that I would be able to use normal sql statements, e.g.
    SELECT * FROM objecthandle WHERE objectuid='objecthandle_301';
    and get back either the XML or a resultset -- I'm less picky about that right now.
    I've been unable to find good reference material for this query; any advice will be appreciated.

  • Using XML Publisher with plsql package data source?

    Hi,
    I have a html gantt chart which i create using a plsql package and the use of the htp.p procedure for output to a webpage.
    I want to be able to print this to PDF and was hoping the XML Publisher may be an option for doing this. The datasource for this however seems to be a sql query or XML feed.
    Can anyone provide any suggestions on this??

    With a Pipelined Table Function you can use a function in your FROM-clause (so you'll have a normal SELECT, but in the background the data comes from a PL/SQL-function):
    SELECT * FROM TABLE( <function_name> )
    Look here:

  • Is it possible to use xml publisher with xml document as data source ?

    I have an application that have to publish document from xml document that are not part a oracle 10g database but will be stored into Oracle Berkeley XML database insteed. Is it possible to use server and/or desktop to publish these documents ?
    I test the desktop edition using the source xml document but it render no data when the template is executed (vizualization)
    I installed the server edition and i'm not able to declare xml document as a data source
    So i have a doubt that xml publisher is able to publish something from a xml datasource
    Thanks

    Yes, it is possible.
    The problem should come from your template. Refer to "edit a RTF template" in the docs.
    A fact is that XML Publisher server edition is not very adapted to an XML file datasource. In order to use it, you should use an HTTP datasource, with the URL of your XML document (that you should place on a web server...). The problem is that this URL is fixed and point always on the same reference...so XML Publisher server edition is not very good for that use.
    I choose to use the XML Publisher Java API which is better for this task.

  • How can (parse) i use XML file with missing EndTag

    hi,
    i have an application which writes an "XML file".
    another application should read that XML file, build an DOM and
    access the nodes with xpath.
    my problem. if the first application is not finished there are tags
    missing. e.g. </xml>. but the seconds application cannot wait until the first application finishes it task.
    if i now read the XML file the parser cannot load it because the end tags are missing.
    my question:
    how can i deactivate the check or how can i read the XML file and access it via XPath (my application is using at the moment XPath to access the nodes and i dont want to change that)
    as parser i am using XERCES
    alex

    As far as I know, you can't do this - xml must be well formed (this is sort of a bedrock of xml). There may be some work around's, but I'm not aware of any - and they would most likely be hacks.

  • Maximum Number of record Per page using XML Publisher with RTF template

    Hi
    I am creating customer statement and want to show only 20 records per page. How we can set maximum number of repord per page in rtf template.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Ravi,
    I hope you are already done with this. In the invoice there is a nice example you can use on the xml blogs.
    You limit the number of lines per page when you use the xsl commands like this in your template:
    <xsl:variable name="lpp" select="number(13)"/>
    <?for-each@section:LIST_G_INVOICE?>
    <xsl:variable xdofo:ctx="incontext" name="invLines" select=".//G_LINES[LINE_TYPE='LINE']"/>
    <?for-each:$invLines?> <?if:(position()-1) mod $lpp=0?> <xsl:variable name="start" xdofo:ctx="incontext" select="position()"/>
    and then you have the table where you have the data
    <?for-each:$invLines?><?if:position()>=$start and position()<$start+$lpp?>
    and all your lines
    and then
    <?end if?><?end for-each?>

  • XML gateway with multiple XML structures??

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to import data using XML gateway with different XML structures. Third party system sometimes will not provide certain tags itself if there is no data for the tag like contacts in below sample xmls. In that case we need to ignore those tags (CONTACTS in below sample). As per my understanding, we must have tag in XML though it may not have any value.
    We have 2 XMLs
    XML1 for supplier with contacts
    <SUPPLIER>
    <NAMES>
    <NAME1>XYZ </NAME1>
    <NAME2>ABC</NAME2>
    </NAMES>
    <SITE>
    <SITE1>XYZ </SITE1>
    <SITE2>ABC</SITE2>
    </SITE>
    <CONTACT>
    <CONTACT1>XYZ </CONTACT1>
    <CONTACT2>ABC</CONTACT2>
    </CONTACT>
    </SUPPLIER>
    XML2 for supplier without contacts
    XML1
    <SUPPLIER>
    <NAMES>
    <NAME1>XYZ1 </NAME1>
    <NAME2>ABC1</NAME2>
    </NAMES>
    <SITE>
    <SITE1>XYZ1 </SITE1>
    <SITE2>ABC1</SITE2>
    </SITE>
    </SUPPLIER>
    Can we upload data in both these xmls using only one generic dtd and xgm using XML gateway which will skip any missing tag.
    Thanks
    Rishi

    Hi, you can FOR XML PATH for a finer degree of control over your XML.  Use the @ symbol to create attributes.  Here's a simple example:
    DECLARE @t TABLE ( rowId INT IDENTITY PRIMARY KEY, [address] VARCHAR(50), city VARCHAR(30), floor INT, suite INT, doorType VARCHAR(20) )
    INSERT INTO @t VALUES
    ( '123 Fake St', 'Springfield', 10, 512, 'Metal' )
    SELECT
    [address] AS "Address",
    city AS City,
    [floor] AS "Location/@Floor",
    suite AS "Location/@Suite",
    doorType AS "Location/@DoorType"
    FROM @t
    FOR XML PATH ('Company'), ROOT ('Companies'), ELEMENTS;

  • HOW to use xml to transfer data from database?

    Hi,
    Would you please give me some suggestion on how to use xml connect with a table in oracle/MS_access database?
    Thanks a lot
    Zhao

    Have you already had a look at our online documentation here on OTN, or at a book like Building Oracle XML Applications? There are lots of examples in those.
    If you have a specific question about using the API's that's not working for you, we can help out here.

  • Database updation using XML and stored Procedure?

    Hello,
    I want to perform updation in multiple tables using XML files.Please suggest can I do updation using xml and stored procedure.
    If yes then which is more efficient and takes less time.
    1.Updation using xml files only
    2.Updation using xml files with stored procedure.
    3.Stored procedure alone.
    If direct xml and stored procedure communication is possible.then please write how.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • XML-RPC with Servlet Example

    Hi,
    I was wondering if someone could point me to a good, simple example of using XML-RPC with a servlet. I have tried Apache's site where they write: "A full example servlet is included in the package" but I've downloaded it twice from two different mirrors and it is not there. Neither is the entire "examples" directory listed in the README. Hence, my request here. Thanks for any help you can provide.
