EJECT keyboard code in Barcode format

I am working with an IPAD and a barcode scanner for retail inventory control. It has been documented that when the scanner is attached the virtual keyboard won't come up unless you hit the 'eject' (i think keycode 161).
Do you know a way i can encode the 'eject' keycode into a barcode, such that when i need the keyboard i can just scan the bar code?

Unable to view Code 128 Barcode Font

I have Acrobat Reader v8.1.2 running on a Windows XP machine. I have a Code 128 Barcode True Type font which is used to display the barcode data. I am using Cognos to generate some report and in this report I have column which shows the Code 128 barcode font. When I view the report via Cognos, I am able to see the barcode. However, when I view the same report in Acrobat Reader I am unable able to view the barcode. Cognos has an option where I can view the existing report in PDF format.
Is there any setting in Acrobat that we need set in order to get this Code 128 font working?

That font allows embedding and it works for me with a PDF created with Acrobat with the font embedded. If you could post a sample PDF somewhere, someone might be able to tell you what's wrong.

EAN13 represents the following digits in Barcode:
2 digits - for the country code or system code
5 digits - for the manufacturer identification
5 digits - for the product identification
1 digit - for the checkdigit

Printing QR codes and Barcodes together

Dear All,
I have referred the following link to print QR code as a post script:

While printing my SAP Script/ SMARTFORM output on any printer, if I specify output device as ZBWIPP then QR code is being printed perfectly, but barcodes (Which are already there in script and are expected to be there) are not being printed at all. When the output is printed without specifying any output device, then only barcodes are being printed and not the QR code.
I have tried adding print controls ZBW01, ZBW02, ZBW09 and ZBW91 to the output type of printer, even then QR code is not being printed.
I request your advice and help on how to get QR code and barcodes printed together. Thank you.

Capturing serial numbers in 2D barcode format

I'm working on capturing serial numbers in 2D barcode format using RF unit but it only taking 11 serial numbers from 30 serial numbers in 2D barcode. Is there any limitation on number of characters that system can take at one time?

what is the path level of your sap console. if you are using the old one the maximum is 231. check in market place and update. it can accept up to 1024.

You mentioned using UPC-A or EAN-13. I recommend that you do not use these symbologies for general-purpose fields like material no,batch no, expiry date etc. Both of these codes are fixed length, numeric only. It will be much better if you use a variable-length, alpha-numeric symbol like Code 39 or Code 128. Code 39 is the easiest to work with; Code 128 requires a little more work to set up your software, but it supports a wider range of characters (lower case, symbols, etc.).

10.1.0 Update breaks Code 39 barcodes

I use barcodes extensively to automate forms, and the update to 10.1.0 broke the ability to use Code 39 barcodes. The font now displays a few lines of barcodes and a series of squares where the rest of the barcode should be. Interestingly, static barcodes appear to be fine, but dynamically generated barcodes fail 100% of the time after updating to 10.1.0.
I've developed an uninstall/reinstall package to move our 367 PCs back to 10.0.1, and this has solved the problem. The issue is also occurring on Acrobat X when users upgrade to 10.1.0.
Is there a known workaround? Has anyone else experienced this issue? I hate to keep our users on old versions, but I'll be holding off on allowing Reader/Acrobat updates until I have a fix.

I had the same issue with an Airport Extreme base station.
It seems to only happen when the base station does not brodcast its SSID.
Although I hate the idea of broadcasting a network name to my neighbors, I am doing this temporarily and it seems to work.
I had a similar problem when I switched from a Powerbook to my MacBook Pro and it was solved in a 10.4.x update, (although the MacBook Pro needs far longer to catch the network, causing Adium to lose connection when waking from sleep).
I then turned back off SSID broadacst (it's called "create a closed network" in Airport Admin Utility. Too bad it gets back with 10.4.8.
Could you confirm your iMac G5 does not have the same issue ? And could you try setting back your reauthentication timer to 3600, and turn on SSID broadcast (if it was off) ?

And by the way, since the big security advantage of WPA comes from reauthentication, I guess setting the timeout to 3 hours would bring your WiFi network close to this of a WPA-encrypted one.

Code 128 barcode

I'm trying to print code 128 barcodes on hp 4300 or hp 5550, but the start and stop character are not printing, therefore they cannot be scanned.
I'm using chr(204) for start and chr(206) for stop and the mod 103 checksum is included. I have also tried chr(136) for start, chr(138) for stop,
chr(94) start chr(96) stop, and chr(124) start chr(126) stop. The scanner is able to read code 128 barcodes generated from another source.
Any suggestions?

Maxi code and Barcode - WMS shipping labels

Hi All,
As a part of creating shipping label process we create XML files which stores the data to be printed.
We just use loftware to print the labels directly to the Zebra printers
Requirement: To send a copy of the label to the user instead of printing
Question: i know barcodes can be printed using rdfs
but
1. can i print maxi codes on to pdf using RDFs
2. can i use any other utility in Oracle apps that would help me in creating a pdf with maxi code and bardcode?

Code 128 Barcode printed from Application Express

Hi,
My colleague and I have written a procedure to generate Code128 Barcodes. These appear fine on the screen within Application Express 3. But when we export the file as an RTF or PDF document to our BI_Publisher server running under LINUX RedHat the Barcodes are greyed out and cannot be seen.
Anyone any ideas on how to solve this? It is extremely irritating only to be able to offer our users the ability to print the Application Express page off rather than a proper document.

How can I convert my css code into table format?

Wasn't sure how to word the title, but what I am trying to do is post my html code generated with Dreamweaver CS4 into craigslist for an advertisement I designed. Craigslist seems to only accept "TABLE FORMAT". I just learned enough to design this AD using css, now do I have to go back and learn table cell coding? Is there something I am not aware of like a conversion or something that will work?

You must have an old HTML editor because that isn't INLINE CSS CODE. It's deprecated HTML code. It might work OK on Craig's List... but tags won't pass W3C validation in XHTML doc types.

How do I add a keyboard shortcut to remove formatting?

I want to be able to copy a text (⌘C) and then, before pasting it (⌘V), be able to remove the formatting of the text by using another combination (for example ctrlC)
The question is, how do I make my Mac do that?

USB Eject ejecting keyboard/trackpad instead

Hey,
I just bought a new MacBook Pro 13" i7 and I've installed Windows 7 along with the Bootcamp drivers. Everything's working fine except for when I connect a USB hard drive (not flash drive) to the second USB port (closer to the front of the laptop). The drive contents can be read and everything is normal except for when I try to eject it. When I click the button to eject the hardware, it says Apple Internal Keyboard/Trackpad instead of my USB drive. And doing this disables my keyboard/trackpad and I need to restart the computer in order for it to work again.
However, the strange thing is that this does not happen at all in Mac OS and also doesn't happen when I use the first USB port. It looks like, for some reason, Apple wired the USB for that port and the keyboard/trackpad all together. Am I right in assuming this, or is my Mac defective? Also, do you think that Apple could possibly fix this in a later Bootcamp update?

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Sooooo so frustrating. Effectively means you only have one USB port you can use for external hard drives etc at any one time..
When re-installing Windows on a newly created partition the other day - after Windows booted normally, but before I installed the Bootcamp Windows Support drivers, I tested the USB port by plugging in my WD external hard drive, to see if the issue was something to do with the drivers Apple themselves were supplying [as part of the Windows support pack].
When I went to eject it safely, I could see that it was recognising the WD external hard drive - however this time, it was calling it a USB Receiver?? and yes, the system still froze when I ejected it 'safely'.
So, that little experiment didn't solve any mysteries except to suggest that the problem really is Windows based: both USB ports work fine when in the Mac OS, with the first port only becoming wonky after the installation of Windows [7 Home Premium: x64] and before the installation of the Bootcamp Windows Support Drivers.
In my frustratioin/desperation - I called Apple tech support here in Australia. The guy I ended up speaking to about it (a Senior Techy) said that his colleague had actually had a call from someone else with exactly our issue - but that he didn't know how to resolve it/it was left unresolved. I pointed the guy I spoke to, to this thread (and a few others I found on Google), and he recognised that this is clearly an issue that needs to be escalated, which - he is going to do. So - hopefully there will be light at the end of the tunnel soon, if someone hasn't already come across a fix that is.
