Elements 11 Editor has stopped working!
I have been using my Elements 11 program and suddenly the editor portion will not launch. The organizer opens and allows me to view photos and choose one to edit but when I click on editor it doesn't open.
How are you opening the editor? Welcome screen, button from the organizer, actual program file? and which operating system?

Photoshop elements 12 editor has stopped working.
This is the error message I get. Photoshop elements 12 editor has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
The programme opens and then crashes. I took it all off my computer and then reloaded it again but have the same message. If anyone can help I would be grateful.@Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
Solution 1:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works. -
This started happening suddenly a day ago.
Once I bring a photo into the program a window appears reading, "Photoshop Elements 12 editor has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program & notify you if a solution is available."
The program has been working fine up until a day ago.
Please advise a fix. Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:

1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.

Elements 7 editor has stopped working
Dear elements 7 community, I have using elements 7 for four years on my windows 7 computer with very little problem. It seemed a very stable program. This program came free. I also use Lightroom 4
However now my elements editor has stopped working. Either a windows dialogue box appears stating that elements is not responding and it is looking for solutions. Or more often you try and launch one of the editing suites like "guided edits" and it starts to load for a second and then reverts back to the fix page. An edit in progress message appears across the loaded image even though nothing was achieved.
Could any of you accomplished users tell me the problem. Feel free to ask for more information. Thank youNo. It would have fixed it if that were the issue.
Did you make sure you have enough virtual memory allocated for Photoshop Elements to use when you went through the troubleshooting. I have a DELL. I had to change my virtual memory setting to get Photoshop CS3 to run. With the factory Page File setting, Photoshop would crash immediately with the generic Windows message about Photoshop needing to close and Windows is looking for a solution.
See this document for specifics.

On the Vista machine: Unless you have UAC (Vista's User Account Control) turned off, you'll have to be the administrator and give permission to yourself to do this. Not sure about your Windows 7 machine...
Step 4 in the above is a bit vague. They want you to click under System on the sentence that says "See the name of this computer". In the screen that pops up, look in the left hand pane for "Advanced System Settings" and click it. In the dialog that pops up select the "Advanced tab". In the box that is headed by Performance, click Settings. Next go to the "Advanced" tab that comes up in this dialog. Next to the word Virtual Memory click the change button. Change to desired custom size on this screen.
Here's a tut with screen shots:
http://www.windowsreference.com/windows-vista/change-the-size-of-virtual-memory-page-file- size-in-vista/
If you don't know the amount of RAM, your computer has: Click the Vista start icon; then right click the word computer in the right hand pane; select Properties. A screen displaying all of your computer specs including amount of RAM installed will come up.

Photoshop Elements 11 Editor has stopped working message
Installed PSE 11. OS is Win 7. Worked ok a short time then got message "PSE 11 stopped working". I try to open file from Orginizer into Expert Editor and only get a blank screen now. Tried all three ways of opening into Editor. (Works ok in PSE 9). What other info do you need to solve this problem? This is the second time this has happened. The first time I believe it corrected with out any action on my part.

Every time I try to launch Photoshop it stops working. Adobe customer support was not able to help me resolve the issue. Does anyone have a fix? Thank you
Next time try starting it while holding down Ctrl+alt+shift (cmd+option+shift on a mac). Keep the keys down till you hopefully see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

"Photoshop Elements Editor has stopped working"...message
I am very very very new to this...and have had so much trouble I'm ready to ask for a refund! After installing and watching tutorials and not being able to load any pictures to the 'organizer'...(my autoplay does not show the "Organize and Edit Photos" or show the Photo Downloader...I finally called Customer Service. He told me I needed to uninstal and reinstall. Ok..I've done that. But it's still not on Autoplay. At least he showed me where the file menu is on the 'organizer', so I could get some pictures in there. But when I click on 'Edit Photos', I get the pop-up message, "Photoshop Elements Editor has stopped working"....It never HAS worked....This thing just came out of the box today and has too many problems for a newby like me. What is the problem? Actually, there are the two problems. HELP!
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works. Let me know if you have any comments.
Thanks

Error message - photoshop elements editor has stopped working
Hi - I've installed photoshop elements 8 twice, and I still get the error message "photoshop elements editor has stopped working" . I can't seem to get beyond this point. My system is Windows Vista. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
I suddenly started getting the same error message and was reaching my wits end in trying to find a solution.
This may sound bizarre, and you may not have the same situation as I found, but check your system/Windows date setting.
Somehow, the year on my system had become 2096. I corrected it, and bingo! PSE 8 Editor works again. -

I don't get any crash reports, it starts to open then just stops, nothing happens. ive tried getting in through the organiser but that doesn't work either.
I think my laptop is Windows 8 (its a fairly new laptop, does that sound about right?)
it was working Saturday I'm quite new to using it so no real workflow, just playing around with effects. ive only had it about a month
Thanks

Elements (Editor) has stopped working...
Hello all,
I installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 on my Windows Vista Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop last month and everything worked fine. Then suddenly, when I tried to open it today, the following error shows up:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 (Editor) has stopped working.
I have scanned through the forums and have only noticed people complaining about the 'Organizer' not working. Has anyone seen this error?? Elements does not even start anymore. Right when double-click on the icon, a window pops up with the error above. Anyone have any ideas?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
Samhave you ALSO had trouble with your printer/scanner/other device?
i had the same problem, not knowing they were related til my friend showed me this:
