Elements as actions.

Hey again!
Once again after a long while I can't seem to figure this out. Please look at the picture below.
http://oi59.tinypic.com/51rhxh.jpg
So I'm using the "red-zone" as a separate element, the purpose of it is to trigger a action (mouseover). The problem is it triggers based on the whole picture (the green lines). How would you solve this the easiest way? I've tried using rectangles etc but it gets rather impossible at times.
Cheers!

I am not sure if I understood your issue, but seems like you need trigger to work only for the red vertical stripe image, but instead the trigger happens on the whole area marked in green. Am I correct?
Need you to zip and share the composition files (upload to some cloud storage and share the link).

  • Elements 9 - Actions

    I download an action but have problems to install this actions
    There are 3 files : .atn, .png and .jsx
    .atn + .png are installed in following folder : ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\9.0\Photo Creations\Photo Effects
    The only thing that I do not know is where do I have to put the .jsx file
    I tried several places to put this file in :
    ProgramData\Abobe\Photoshop Elements
    Users\Default\AppData
    but I always receive following error message : JavaScript code was missing
    I want to work with this action in the "Photo Effects" and not with the "Action Player"
    I'm working with Windows 7
    Hope my English was good to explain this problem
    Thanks
    Bea

    Copy the .atn file to the one of the following locations:
    Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0\Locale\en_US\Workflow Panels\actions
    Vista
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0\Locale\en_US\Workflow Panels\actions
    The next time you start Photoshop Elements, the action will appear in the Automated Actions guided edit menu.
    Also here is one link which I found quite nice on all about PSE and actions: http://www.texaschicksblogsandpics.com/photography-page/installing-actions-in-photoshop-el ements/

  • E-sourcing Add new Element in Actions dropdowmn list in Project Document

    Hi Evrybody ,
    I am trying to add new element in Actions dropdown list in Project document (in drop down already has Create Auction ,Create demand ,create agreement, Create RFx   elements ) .
    i am able to change the text of existing but not able to add new elements .
    Could you please help me on this .
    Thanks
    Pavan Reddy.

    Pavan,
    My understanding is that the Actions tab is used to execute scripting.  Some of the scripting is embedded in the system, like Create RFx or Create Auction.  This you can not change easily.
    If you want to add a new item to the Actions for Projects create a Script Definition with Script Type: Toolbar and Class: Project (1100).  Keep in mind that you will also have to have a functioning Script Definiton.

  • How to create dynamic elements in action of a view?

    hi all,
    I created 2 buttons dynamically in WdDoModifyView(). I created  action1, and parameter for that action i.e, id of type string.
    when i click on button1, some ui elements must be displayed.....
    can anyone tell me how to dynamically add UI elements in onAction() of view.....
    i wrote the following code to create & map dynamically in WdDoModifyView()........
    if(firstTime)
        IWDButton b1=(IWDButton)view.createElement(IWDButton.class,"button1");
        b1.setText("Button1");
        IWDButton b2=(IWDButton)view.createElement(IWDButton.class,"button2");
        b2.setText("Button2");
        IWDTransparentContainer tc=(IWDTransparentContainer)view.getElement("RootUIElementContainer");
        tc.addChild(b1);
        tc.addChild(b2);
         IWDButton butt1 = (IWDButton)view.getElement("button1");
         IWDParameterMapping pm1a = butt1.mappingOfOnAction();
         pm1a.addParameter("id1","link1a");
         IWDButton butt2 = (IWDButton)view.getElement("button2");
         IWDParameterMapping pm1b = butt2.mappingOfOnAction();
         pm1b.addParameter("id1","link1b");
    after writing this..... in onAction().........of view... i wrote like this...
    if (id1.equals("link1a"))
    else{
    in the if & else condition, i have to create UI elements dynamically.
    when i am trying to create Ui elements dynamically, but i am unable to create dynamically here.
    pls give me suggestion how to proceed this
    regards,
    vila

    Hi Vila,
    Are you trying to create UI elements dynamically in the action? If yes then you won't be able to do so because you can only create UI elements dynamically in WDDoModifyView().
    Always WDDoModifyView() would be called after your action. So, you can handle it as you want in your WDDoModifyView() itself.
    But if you want that those elements should be created everytime when you fire an event then don't write it within if(firstTime) clause as this would be true only when WDDoModifyView() is called for the first time when the page intially loads.

  • Elements 10 - actions plug in ??

    Hi, does anyone know if you can get a plug in that allows me to write my own actions? I have read you can make actions in Photoshop CS3 and import them into relivent Elements hard drive folder but as I don't have PS CS3 then thats no good to me!
    Just want to make my actions !!
    Thanks in advance

    While it might be possible using scripting or using a hex editor to write actions for elements, unless you have experience with recording actions in the full photoshop, it's not practical.
    The only plugin i know of is elements +, but that doesn't write actiions it only enables you to combine prewritten scripts.
    You could always either download a 30 day fully functional trial of photoshop cs5 or if your on a windows system you may be able to use the old photoshop 6 trial which doesn't expire, but
    is limited in that you can't save layered files and do any batch processing and a few other things. You can however use the ps6 trial to write actions, save layer styles and shapes even though
    some of the functions that pse 10 has are not available in ps 6.
    There are tons of actions already available out there for elements, so there may already be one available depending on what kind of action you need.

  • Contract Elements Dynamic Action

    Hello All,
    I've put a dynamic action together which requires copy-creating a new IT0615 HE Contract Data record when the IT0016 Contract Elements 'valid until' field is amended. Currently, it seems to trigger IT0615 when any field is amended, not what I'm after... Can anyone help?

    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Check the configuration in table V_T547V for contract types 02 and 03. You need to have the "Indicator for fixed-term contract" as checked for the two contract types. Only then, you would be able to see the "Valid until" field (P0016-CTEDT) on IT0016 and the code given in my previous post should work. Also, make sure the test employee gets default contract types as 02 or 03. There may be some decisions to have different default contract types based on country grouping/employee group/subgroup etc. in feature CONTR (transaction PE03). Let us know.

  • Elements 13 actions thumbnails

    I upgraded from 10 to 13 and installed my actions but they are not showing up and thumbnails and I really need to view them that way to work more efficiently.....can anyone guide me on this one?

    I installed them in Elements 13 by clicking Actions~Install.   They installed in Elements 13 but only listed in the moveable pallet.   I'm wanting to access them as thumbnails on the right side under effects.  I talked to Adobe support chat today and was told it couldn't be done.   However, I decided to try installing my actions for PSE10 and it worked!   There are some that didn't as I only have the Elements 11,12,13 version....but most also offered 10 version and at least I'm back in business : )))))    If there is a way to add the actions that are in 13 format only as thumbnails I would still love to be able to do that : )

  • Adobe Actions in Photoshop elements

    I have recently acquired a program that was originally designed on Adobe Photoshop.
    I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements, bot most features are included
    One difference is that Photosop Element does not have an 'action button' to load the action script.
    However, I have copied these in manually
    Action Taken
    a) Installed graphic program into c:\Program Files\graphic program
    b) Opened the Action Script Folder and copied all the Action Scripts files
    c) c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\presets\Photoshop Actions\
    d) Pasted all the action scripts that I copied from the Action Script Folder
    So Far So Good
    Opened Photoshop Elements : They have a file browser button. From here I can browse to :-
    c:\program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\presets\Photoshop Actions\
    But I cannot load any templates or activate the program
    Can anyone advise on this please
    Brian

    Hi Barbara,
    Thanks for your response
    I am using Photoshop Elements 2.0 and the third party program in question is "eCoverGo"
    http://www.ecovers-go.com/
    As mentioned it was designed for Adobe Photoshop and required all the files to be placed in the photoshop action folder.
    Photoshop Elements does not have an action feature, but I followed their procedure and copied all the files into the Elements/photoshop actions folder OK. But there is no way to load these files into Photoshop Elements.
    I have asked how they activate these files in photoshop, and received the following
    "copy the shortcut into the relevant directory (depending on which version of Photoshop), then I go to the actions window and select the action.
    Select the first step and press the play button, modify the image created, and then run step 2 and step 3.
    I can also double click an action in its folder and it will open in Photoshop."
    The problem is' Photoshop Elements does not have an 'Actions Window' and the second is, after double clicking on an action in it's folder, Photoshop opens and I'm back to square one!!"
    I realise that I may be whistling in the Wind, and no way take the program developer to task, because it has been designed for Adobe Photoshop and not Photshop Elements.
    And it defeats the whole exercise by purchasing Adobe Photoshop for the sake of getting a low budget program to work, when Photoshop Elements suit my requirements at the moment
    Once again, thanks for your interest Barbara, but don't drive
    yourself crazy.If it wont work in Elementsthen it wont work!
    Best regards
    Brian

  • How to make an action in Elements 6?

    First, is it possible to make an action in Elements 6? How to, and where?

    Just to add to what Barbara has said, Photoshop Elements uses actions
    internally to implement certain features. But, there is no public
    interface. That is, there is no provision for the user to load and execute
    an arbitrary action -- there is no "action player" like there is in
    Photoshop.
    Beside the commands that aren't available in PSE, a lot of the techniques
    that Photoshop users may employ in writting actions just won't work. For
    example, in Photoshop you can stop the action, do a manual adjustment, and
    then continue executing the action. In PSE, when you stop the action there
    is no way to continue and the image is returned to the history state just
    prior to executing the action -- you don't get to keep the changes. Often,
    people developing actions for PSE have to use quite a bit of ingenuity to
    work around the limitations.
    And, because actions do not have a public interface, Adobe frequently
    changes the way they are installed and implemented. Every new release
    changes the rules. And remember, Adobe isn't making the documentation
    available to the public. Someone has to figure out what changed and how to
    make it work.
    For these reasons, it's best to get your PSE actions from a site that writes
    them specifically for PSE and has accounted for the specific PSE verson,
    such as the sites mentioned by Barbara.

  • XML file too large or XML element too large

    I am attempting to import an xml file into the repository and have it shred into the object-relational tables. I registered a schema and it created object-relational xml_tables, triggers, and types. The full xml file is > 80MB. XDB created all the fields as VARCHAR2(4000).

    Vendor code 30951Error at Line:18I would guess that some of the fields have max lengths > 4000. I plan to annotate the schema with SQLType="CLOB", but need to know which fields to change. I was able to copy the xml file and reduce that xml file to one record, which imported into the tables. My plan was to write a view over the bfile to get the lengths of certain fields, annotate the .xsd with CLOBS where needed, and then import again. In order to do that, I have a 1 record file imported into a table and as a bfile.
    Here is my code selecting length from a generated object-relational table of only one record.

  • Event handling in Network UI element in Webdynpro

    Hi ,
       I am developing a hierarchial graph using Network UI element.I want to incorporate event handling so that the graph will respond to user actions like on double clicking a node an URL will be opened.I can notproceed with the event handling.
                         Can anyone tell me the procedure to do this from webdynpro java.
    Regards
    Nayeem

    Hi Nayeem,
    The Network UI element has lots of events defined for it which can be handled to get the desired functionality.
    Go to the View in which you have added the Network Element, select the Element and go to the
    properties tab.
    Under events , you can see a list of events defined for this UI element.
    Select the event you wish to handle and press the Create button which gets visible once
    an event say onNodeSelected is selected
    You can then give a name to the action say UserClicked and save it .
    In the properties tab of the UI element , the action will be registed against the event .
    Now select the event again and press the go button.
    It will redirect you to the java editor of the view where in you can place your event handling logic.
    Alternatively, if you have created the UI element dynamically then you can add the event to the UI element by using the following code
    IWDNetwork network = (IWDNetwork)view.createElement(IWDNetwork.class);
    network.setOnNodeSelected(/*Your Action handler already defined in the View*/);
    Regards,
    Ashish

  • 'Recording' actions

    Is there a means of 'recording' a sequence of actions in Elements (as is available in Photoshop CS)

    Sorry you can’t do that in Elements, but actions that are recorded in CS and which have similar functions in elements can be installed. You can often download them by searching on-line.

  • Need to play actions in PSE 9.0 from JavaScript

    Hi All,
    I have been facing this problem now for three days   ..!!! I have just switched to PSE 9.0 from PS CS 5... In the past, i had success in playing actions through javascript in Photoshop... But the same is giving me a dead end with Photoshop Elements in the picture  ... Any help or guidance regarding this is highly appreciable..!! Pls guide me fellas..!!!
    Thanks..!

    Your code for the PQR action should look like this:
    It doesn't matter where the actions are on your computer as long the path in the script
    points to the action and then you tell elements which action to play.
    In other words you don't have to put the actions in actions player folder.
    If you want to run actions in the Full Edit Mode, you can install the actions into the effects panel.
    By installing them in the effects panel, you have access to all the menu commands that are
    normally greyed out in the guided edit mode. Also some functions that work in the full editor
    will not work in the guided edit mode, so your actions may give errors.
    Installing in effects panel:
    http://www.texaschicksblogsandpics.com/photography-page/installing-actions-in-photoshop-el ements/
    Also you can place your scripts in the Automation Tools menu by putting a
    javascript resource code at the top of your script, but the automation tools menu is greyed
    out in the guided edit mode.
    Then you would place the script in the pse 9 presets>scripts folder and after restarting
    or starting pse 9 there on the menu.
