Elitebook 8570w wont start when docked

Hi, My fully updated 8570w is having great trouble starting when docked.When I press the power button on the dock, the laptop will start for a few seconds, then turn off.It will just go past the BIOS, then dies completely.Repeating this process 5-10 times will eventually boot the laptop to windows login screen. Same goes if i open lid, and press power button directly on the laptop.If I however remove the laptop from the dock, and power it on, it will boot just fine.Reinserting in the dock will not affect this, and I'm good to go. Fully updated W8.1 x64, no drivers missing from device manager. No errors in the event log. Any ides to try? TIA, Gulkings

If you live in the USA/Canada, contact HP at this number 1-800-334-5144, to order a set of recovery DVD's for your notebook.
Inform the customer services rep that you need to order a set of quick restore disks for your notebook.
You will need to provide the model number and serial number.
The cost for a set of recovery disks is $10

Fire fox wont start, when I go to upgrade firefox asks to shut down firefox but is no opened and visible, the task manager says it is in the system but not in the applications running.

Firefox wont open, When i go to upgrade through explorer it starts to upgrade but says firefox is running and must be shut down.

Ipod classic wont play when docked

i have a recently refurbed/replaced ipod classic thats was replaced by Apple when the battery went capput
i have since bought a dock which is compatible with classics
this dock will play my wifes ipod nano and her iphone 3GS
but will not play my ipod classic 160
it is on firmware 2.0.4 and itunes says is upto date
I have tried resetting ipod
I have turned dock on and off
I have restored my ipod and reinstalled all my files
i have contacted the dock manufacturer and state it is not their fault
how do i get this to work ?
I have since tried it on another dock on my DAB radio and wasnt recognised on that either

Wow, ive been having the same problem for a month now. It the car the music started flickering or whatever, then all of a sudden audio completely stopped from the ipod. Doesnt work with any type of speakers through the headphone jack and it doesnt play when docked on a ihome. It will still hold music, it looks like it playing because the time continues and the blue bar moves, but no audio.

Hp elitebook 6930p WONT START UP

i got the hp elite book 6930p and it wont load past the windows start up. when it gives me the choices of start windows normal, in safe mode, safe mode with network and etc it dont matter which i chose it brings it right back to that page it never loads past that. i do not ave the hp recovery disc. i wasw told to try using the f11 key to reset it factory settings but it wont even do that. what do i do???????

Burnt DVD wont start when in DVD player

Hey, how's it going?
When I make a DVD, it wont play..
The disc mounts in all DVD players, title screen and menu screens work fine, but when i click on "Play" nothing happens...
When I click on "scene selection" and choose chapter1, the movie plays fine
Is there anyway I can get the movie to play from the main menu screen without going into submenus?

How does it play when you use apple's dvd player app?
If it plays as expected, then the next best thing is to try out your finished iDVD at a local consumer electroics store that sells several DVD Players to see if it it plays as expected. Ask a sales person for permission to try out the DVD on several units.
but when i click on "Play" nothing happens...
Lower the burn speed to 4x or slower using apple's Disc Utilities or Toast.
Lastly, use Verbatim or Maxell DVD-R for best results.

By taking it to a third party, you have voided any warranty you may have had, and now apple will not touch your phone. Sounds like they have crossed things up on your phone and you need to buy a new one. Make sure you buy it from apple or an authorized apple carrier.

Firefox 29RC1 wont start when update service enabled.

Running W8.1 Update 1. I installed FF29RC1 which runs smoothly however when I close FF I can't start it again because it says its already running. When I shut down the FF service in the task manager, disable the update service in FF options, it runs wihthout any problem and I can start FF everytime I want to without any problem.

Firefox 29.0 has been released, so no need to install a release candidate.

Did you check in the system monitor if there still are Firefox processes running?
Did you install Firefox in your user account (~ or /home/<user>) or in a location that requires root privileges for write access?

Computer wont start when 12V CPU connector is plugged in

First of all, I'am from Norway so my english is perhaps not that impressive :P
I recently decided to upgrade my computer a bit and for now, these are the parts that are installed (only the nessecary parts for a startup is installed for now. Installing the rest as I see things are working) :
MSI PM8PM-V
Intel Core Duo 2 E6300
512 DDR2
120gb western digital
Geforce 6800 256MB
Now to the problem. On the motherboard there is a plug that is for (quote from the manual) "This 12V power connector is used to provide power to the CPU" so in my little world this is an important thing to have. The problem is that if this plug is used/connected the computer does not start at all. Nothing happens what so ever. However if the plug is not connected the computer starts and is running fine but the monitor is dark and it's acting like it's in sleepmode (the monitor-LED is yellow not green as it is when it's active). So in other words I'am not getting any further...

What PSU are you using?
What is the specs amps of the PSU?

Mozilla wont start when i open the computer.

when i open the computer and i click mozilla it just dont start up. when i open my task manager then i end process the mozilla . then ill click the mozilla again it work fine . its very annoying please help me! i already make a new account but it doesn't work either im helpless.. i have no extension ..

[EliteBook 8570w] General System Board Failure

While trying out a new Linux distro (probably unrelated), I've found my EliteBook 8570w unbootable. When I turn on the computer both the num lock and caps lock lights blink 5 times (General system board failure) while seeing the HP boot logo.
I tried restoring a working BIOS, however I've formatted all drives before which means there's not HP_TOOLS or HP_RECOVERY partitions. I tried restoring the BIOS through a flash drive but with no results: the light of the USB drive flashes for about a half second, the caps lock light starts flashing, the fan goes full throttle and then nothing happens; the computer can only be turned off by unplugging AC.
After trying several configurations of the flash drive (UEFI restore, BIOS update, custom stuff...) with the same result, I'm not sure what to do next.
Is there any other viable options to try (e.g. would flashing BIOS work with a HP_TOOLS partition on the HDD)? Is my motherboard just plain dead?

Aperture wont start , it needs an update and is telling me to log onto a hotmail account that no longer exists so I am stuck .I would even re-purchase aperture just to get up and running again but I cant do that either - help, I need these photographs !

Aperture wont start when I booted up this morning . There is an upgrade that it needs to install and I am being directed to log onto a hotmail account that does not exist to install it . I cant get any sense out of hotmail and the account has been deleted because I have never used it .
I need to get into my files asap but I am just going around in circles - please help - anyone ?

APERTURE was bought via the Apple On Line Store .
I kew there is an update cause when I clicked on updates , there was an update that I needed cause Aperture was not running as it should ie . it would not load
I am running Mavericks OS.
My Apple ID is the same as my email account but I have discovered that I have two Apple ID accounts and I could not remember my password on the one that I used to download the original Aperture - I have since contacted Apple and they have merged the two so Ihave sorted it out that way .
When Aperture would not start , it wasn't asking me to log onto my email account, it was asking me for my Apple ID which was the same thing but it was my emergency ID and I could not remember the password . Being enturely thick where computers are concerned , I got very confused and remain confused because having bought a new MACBOOK AIR , I find it wont recognise my back up hard drive or my AIRPORT so I am not having a great time with MAC products to be honest - cant get my business back up and running after nearly three weeks so Apple and MAC are not my favourite words !
Anyway, I did get it sorted finally by ringing Apple but thanks for replying anyway - it turned out that Aperture was the very least of my problems when my hard drive failed installing Mavericks - wasnt Mavericks fault, my drives have to work hard and it just died .

Stateless Controller - Debugger wont start

I am trying to debug a controller. Debugger just wont start when its declared as stateless. As soon as I declare it as stateful, debugger starts.
Can someone please tell me how to debug in a stateless scenerio?

Have you tried with external breakpoints?(i.e se80->BSP page->utilities->External breakpoints->activate/deactivate or CtrlShiftF11. )
Try with the below mentioned option,
goto SICF --> Service name ex:HCM_LEARNING --> press F8 -->place curson on HCM_LEARNING -->
goto Edit --> Debugging -->Activate debugging.

Laptop wont start

My laptop wont start, when I press power, the little light lit but then it died and there's nothing on the screen. I tried taking off the battery for 5 min and put it back on press the power for 30 sec but it still wont start please help... !

Same problem here, I have a dv6 that I used throughout the day just fine. I installed the windows 10 update, it proceeded to restart but never came back on. I tried taking out the batterie, unplugging it, and holding the power button to hard reset still nothing.

I would suggest two basic things to look for:
1. Duplicate fonts
Launch Font Book and check all fonts for duplicates. A duplicated font will have a bullet beside the font family and you can resolve duplicates by selecting the font and at the menu bar, go to Edit > Resolve Duplicates.
Do this one bulleted font at a time.
2. Did you repair permissions after reinstalling 10.3.9?
Did you use the Combo Update for 10.3.9?
If not, I would reapply the Combo update.
