Email Failing: Failed to add recipient

Question

I have an update form with a send email behavior that is updating the record but the send email behavior is failing. This is the error message:
E-mail couldn't be sent. Error returned: Failed to add recipient: @localhost [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 501, response: <@localhost>: no local part)]. (EMAIL_FAILED)

I have another form on this site that send 2 emails using the send email behavior and they work fine.
The priority for this send email behavior is 90. I tried changing it to 40 but it fails the same way.
Any help is appreciated.
OK So after sleeping (or not) on this I came up with this. I had the email field on the update form set to display as Text - not Text Field. When I changed it to Text Field it was able to send the email to the correct address. I'm not sure why this is but it worked.

Thunderbird will use 5 connections to get mail, and this can be reduced in Edit > account settings > server settings and click the advanced button.
Apple as I understand it has no such limiting option.
The maximum number of connections is set by your provider, you just have to live within that limit.

No, It's not an Apple. XD
The machine is a PC desktop running Ubuntu. and I checked the advanced server setting, and I verified that the maximum number of connections to cache is 1, and thunderbird still won't accept any of my IMAP accounts T^T.
