Email link doesn't work when site published

OKAY...I entered as a hyperlink my email address in my website..
It is a gmail account and everytime you hit the link on the website, it takes you to gmail to sign in.
I also have one on the site that is a hotmail account and it too goes to gmails sign in page.
Whats up with that?
I thought it was supposed to open an email for the person to send?
PLEASE advise what I might be doing wrong?

Highlight your text or image link, select "Link to: An email message" in the Link inspector. Enter your email address and the Subject.

Links don't work when site is published

Help! In iWeb all my links work from the home page to other pages, but as soon as I publish it, the links are dead. None of the links on the home page will work. See for yourself http://web.mac.com/rbrooks007

I put in a new logo that no longer overlaps the links. I moved my custom navigation well down into the main body of the page, but when I publish the page they still don't work. The only link that works is in the bottom panel of the layout. Is there any way to make links work in the center section of the page? Or custom navigation in the navigation bar area? I guess I'm confused as to where I can put links that will work.

Flash animation doesn't work when I publish Captivate file

Hi,
I have an e-learning developed by a third party using Captivate 6, they've inserted animations (swf files) created using Flash CS6. When I try publishing the Captivate file on my computer all the animations work well except for a particular one (a wheel that spins and asks questions).
When I publish the Captivate file and go to that particular slide and click anywhere other than this animation the whole thing freezes (this doesn't happen on other slides with the other animation/quizzes developed using Flash CS6 on the same project). However, when the developer publishes the same file on their machine it works well.
I don't have Flash CS6 installed on my machine (I only have Flash CS4 and can't open the animation/swf files), I asked someone else (that had Flash CS6) to try publishing the Captivate file and had the same issue I had.
Has anyone had this issue before? how can I fix it?

Since you are loading another SWF file into your main root timeline and want to transfer control to the loaded SWF you need to call _lockroot on the container that holds the loaded content since you are using _root. Like this:
myMCLMain.loadClip("flashSite.swf", "container2");
container2._lockroot = true; //Add this line after loadClip
Or you can remove the _root in the loaded SWF.

Captivate 5.5 project -links are not working when i publish to the IE server

I was wondering if someone had a solution to my Captivate 5.5 project with external links.
Here is my problem:
I have a page that has an external link that opens another window.
For some reason the window will open in preview. However, when I publish to the IE browser it does not work.
Does someone have a solution to this problem? I saw some verbiage that stated adjusting something swf file. I don't quite understand were to change this file. Is it in Captivate?
Any information you have is greatly appreciated.

Google for information about Flash Global Security.
It looks like you need to trust the publish folder location as a trusted location in your Flash Global Security settings.

BitmapData draw method doesn't work when the project is published as the .swf file of the web applic

        I am totally confused by this strange error. When I tried using the draw method of BitmapData to draw a movieclip symbol of my project, it seems to work fine locally. However, as I uploaded the published .swf file to my web server and launched it as the plugin of my web application, it failed. The source codes as follows,

message3 didn't show at all. Instead, the browser console shows "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject.". My understanding of this error message is that the .swf is calling something crashing, and I believe that bd.draw(stage)is the crashng method call.

My real purpose in this application is to capture a snapshot of a streaming video. The video is contained in a movieclip object. I tried stage first since BirmapData.draw() doesn't work when drawing the movieclip on the web site. Do you have any suggestion for this situation? Also, is there any good method to find out what happened if the browser have "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject."?

Link in email received doesn't work

Fro 2 days now, and I don't know why. When I receive email with web link, th link doesn't work. I need copy the link to safari and push return key.

Is Safari your default browser? If not, open its preferences and make it the default.
Do you have any Safari Extensions installed? If so, disable them temporarily in the preferences.
Do you use anything like "Application Enhancer," SIMBL, or similar garbage that's supposed to modify the way applications work? If so, get rid of it permanently.
Then log out and log back in, and try again.

If the email address you want to use is being used as the primary email address on a different ID you have to manage that ID and change it to a different primary email address. This explains how: Change your Apple ID - Apple Support.

It would go to a separate rescue email that is different than your Apple ID.

After updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS 6 (both 6.0&6.0.1), Purchased tab in "App Store" app doesn't work when AppleID is not an email address. This happened since 6.0 and I hope that it will be fixed in6.0.1 but it doesn't.
When I tap at Purchased tab in iPad App Store or Purchased bar in Updates tab in iPhone App Store, it just hang on "Loading...", but when I changed to other AppleID, it works. Apparently, my AppleID is not an email address but the other AppleID is an email address.

It's a really bad idea to post your email addresess - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
This is a user-to-user forum and no-one on here can take any direct action. If your Yahoo address is not working that's something you would need to take up with Yahoo - have you checked it by sending yourself an email to it?
Otherwise you will need to contact Support: go to https://expresslane.apple.com/ and click on 'iTunes' in the center column and then 'iTunes Store' in the right-hand column and proceed from there.

Sending an email invitation doesn't work

I've been trying to send an email invitation to my brother to get himself on skype.
He's not good on computers, so this would be an easier option to get him signed up.
But your email invitation link doesn't work for days!
Can technical support fix that please?

When adding a new contact I click on 'contacts' then 'add contact' then 'search skype directory'. I fill in new contact email and if no results skype gives me he option to send an email invitation. However when I click on this link it opens Internet Explorer browser to page http://www.skype.com/en/?SkypeName=&FriendEmailAddr_1=&FriendEmailAddr_2=&FriendEmailAddr_3=&FriendE...
This is seems the same as the home page http://www.skype.com/en/
I can not see any link whereby one can send an email invitation.
I read somewhere that this was a bug in the new version of skype.

Mailto link doesn't work

I had gmail set as my default email client for Firefox. It was working fine for a long time, but then, all of sudden it stopped working. Now when I click on email links, new email window opens, but for some reason it cannot fully load, it just gets stuck.
Sometimes when I clear cookies, it will work once, but then stops working again.
I have tried restarting Firefox without addons, but then email links don't work at all.
Also, I tried switching my default email program in Firefox and Control Panel to Outlook, but it doesn't do anything; when I click on email links, it tries to open email window.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] and setting gmail as the default again. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.

_self doesn't work when Flash is embedded into iWeb

I am currently building a site for a client who requested that all the pages be built in in iWeb so that she could easily manipulate them without my further involvement. She also requested that the site contain Flash elements such as a drop-down navbar.
I embedded the Flash elements with this code:

And used the HTML insert function in iWeb to place the Flash .swfs.
The problem is, for some reason, iWeb—as expected—is very particular as to the action script it will accept. In terms of the navbar links, I couldn't use variables. The only URLRequest function I could use was:

I was wondering if anyone has solved the problem—a rather obscure one—and if not, I was hoping someone had a workaround I haven't seen or another way to work around iWeb's stupidity.

CVI indeed attaches to the debug output. Since it is the first to get a chance to do that for its own process it will effectivly disconnect any other debugger from that output for anything that is executed in CVI. Windows has some serious limitations in terms of piping streams in comparison to Unix systems, and this is one of them.
But what is wrong about the CVI Debug Window? You do get the information in there so it seems possible to do debugging of your LabVIEW DLL in CVI.
