Email not arriving

I have had many emails addressed to my .me account which have not arrived on my MBP with 10.7.4, but do arrive immediately on my Mini with 10.6. I have looked in every possible junk folder and they are not there. Also, I have removed all filtering, and still, some .me emails never arrive. I have already nearly missed several important business emails if I had not seen them (by accident) on my mini. Thanks!

Hi TomSaul,
I've copied the POP settings below so you can check your imac to ensure these are correct.

SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS)
Username: your email address including the @btinternet or @btopenworld.com part
Password: your btinternet password
POP from folder: By default, POP will pull emails from your Inbox
SMTP
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com
Port: 465 (this may not be automatically populated on selection of SSL, so you'll need to check this)
SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS)
Authentication: PLAIN
Username: your email address including the @btinternet or @btopenworld.com part
Password: your btinternet password

  • Sent emails not arriving at recipients

For two weeks I have been apparently successfully sending emails but they are not arriving at their destination! This seems to be an intermittent problem and i am using Mail with 10.7.5. The emails all appear in the sent box and I do not get any error messages or returned email.
I have tried various suggestions but the problem is ongoing.
What can I do to resolve this issue?

  • Sent email not arriving

It happened several times that an email with a .docx or .pdf attachment sent from a @me.com account  was listed as "SENT" but did not arrive at the recipient. The same email sent without attachment however did arrive. The recipient has a @mac.com address.

Can we back up a minute?  Is the problem only with this recipient that as a @mac.com email address?  It could be that there is some setting that is blocking attachments at their end.  Either the server, or some anitvirus SW they have installed on their system.  This seems more likely since you can send attacments to other addresses.

  • @Yahoo emails: not arriving to Mail (but work on IPad & iPhone)

It doesn't seem to make much sense; but I have problems with my my @yahoo emails coming into Mail - but only on my MacBook Pro (OSX10.10.2), other devices do work.  So in brief:
    1) Email can send out via Mail (Password used for Outbound authentication) - but the same password entered, and emails don't arrive in to my account.
    2) Emails will both arrive and send from my iPhone and IPad (IoS) devices.
    Efforts to re-set:
    - I have logged out and then in multiple times on the webmail.
    - I have changed the password on Webmail access, and then copy and pasted across to Mail.  (outgoing mail still works, but inbound does not)
    - I have changed it via Mail / Accounts and also Mail / Preferences / Accounts
This has happened before about 4 weeks ago, but then came to life after three days.
I suspect a Yahoo server issue, albeit that i can't work out why emails can come to IOS, but not to OS X - but then again i'm no expert so there may be a reason?!

  • Itunes connect - Confirmation email not arrived (March 2013)

    Hi All,
I saw some threads concerning this topic.. all dated early 2012: would like to understand if this is still an issue you are having now.
In simple words: Apple ID created for Ibookstore, connected to a credit card, all ok.. last step is the Confirmation Email to activate the account on Itunes Connect that never arrived. I am publishing from Italy: shall I wait some time or... what to do?
Thanks in advance for your time replying

You can download iBooks Author right now and begin working.

  • Reset Email Not Arriving

It has been 4 Months since i last been able to log into my skype account due to the fact that i have misplaced my Password, I've send about 100 email resets to my email and nothing.. I am totally sick and tired of this bull**bleep** as to needing to log on to get customer service.. what the **bleep**. I've run around in circle.  . I eventualy had to log on to another account and got hold of a skype servce agent who couldnt help me.. why **bleep** is it so difficult to log into a simple IM software.. and on who stupid authoritydid they decide to make it that you need to log in to use customer service.. srsly. wtf.
I have over a 100$ of skype credit in my **bleep** account that i can not use. this needs to get sorted out soon.. and if any mod send me to this **bleep** https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1170/how-can-i-contact-skype-customer-service i will loose my Sith.
I WANT MY **bleep** ACCOUNT ACTIVE AND I WANT MY **bleep** MONEY.

if you are really unlucky, your mail address is an adress that skype "disallows".
I have had that happen to me - Expedia.com will accept one of my mail addresses as my mail adress, but they won't send mails to it - reason? "The mail address is invalid"   This of course doesn't prevent their customer service to have a mail converation with me through that mail address, and the person at the other end didn't see the absurdity of it all... There are other american companies using the same filtering software... so if your mail address - I am now talking about the part to the left of the @ - contains the letters "SPAM" in it (like [e-mail removed for privacy and security], that might be the problem - I am not saying it is, but it could be.
question is - does skype use filtering software like this?

  • Emails with MS word attachments not arriving, but Pages attachments okay

When I send an email with a Word attachment that was originally created in MS Word (v 11.3.5), the email does not arrive at its destination. I've started bcc'g myself to doublecheck and it seems consistent, no matter where it is going. It shows up as "Sent" in the mailbox, but the recipient never receives it.
However, when I create the document in Pages, then convert it to a Word document using "Export" in Pages, then attach it to an email, the email goes through without a problem.
Just now, I created the document in Pages, converted it using "Export", then edited it a bit while it was in Word. When I sent the email as an attachment, it disappeared again and did not arrive at its destination. This is really scary, because I have frequently sent people emails and assume that they are arriving (the email shows up in my "Sent" mailbox, but just disappears into cyberspace somewhere.)
Is this a glitch with Word or Mail? It started happening about 4 months ago, and I have already tried re-installing Word. That seemed to fix it for awhile but it's just happened again.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

For gigabyte-class file transfers, you'll really want to use a different path — that message size is easily approaching a denial-of-service scale message size, if not exceeded it.
If you really want to try doing attachments of that size and all the intervening SMTP servers support it, then try setting the message size manually via something like the (untested) following commands:
    sudo postconf -c /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix  message_size_limit  -e  "message_size_limit = 10485760"
    sudo postfix reload
Or to whatever specific attachment size you want to try to use.  The unit is in bytes.
The other Postfix setting that tends to get involved here is mailbox_size_limit, as well as whatever quotes might be in use for the specific users.

  • My icloud emails arent arriving most of the time and a few days ago my iphone and ipad started showing "Can't Get Mail" box. This has not happened before since I set up the iclud email address with the purchase of my ipad about a month ago.

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

  • Skype sent a password and it did NOT arrive in my email

You said you sent the password and it did NOT arrive--twice that happened!  My email is typed correctly --  so how do I get to reset my password?

There should be a Purchased tab at the bottom right of the Store page in the iBooks app which should show your past ibooks purchases (those that are still available in the store) - if you go into that tab, the books which have a cloud symbol next to them are those which aren't currently in your iBooks app, and if you tap that symbol next to a book then that book should download onto your iBooks bookshelf (and the cloud symbol should change to 'downloaded').

    Hello Janey,
It sounds like there is an issue with the audiobook you purchased from iTunes.  I recommend following the steps in the following article to report this to the iTunes Store:
To report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase, follow these steps:
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
You can find the full article here:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

  • Emails with large attachments not arriving

We have an open limit on email size but consistently emails with large attachments do not arrive at the destination (even to the same domain). They do go into the clients sent box. Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot? thanks
