Hi Friends,
i want to implement Email option in my application .How Can i do that .if you have any demo application please send me login details.
In Apex,Any packacge application has email option .
If yes,Please tell me what's the name of package application in apex.

First you have to enable Email settings in your workspace.
1. Login as ADMIN to your APEX Instance and email server settings in the Instance settings
2. next you can write a process to generate emails on some event
Process source could be similar to this

CRM product etc.) that was created using EJB as the "back-end" and then
deployed as a "shrink-wrapped" application?
I would like to hear some views on this from everyone.I don't know about "shrink wrapped", but YouCentric's CRM (now owned by J.D.
Edwards) is EJB on the back-end.

Using Sales Forecast packaged application
Hi, i wish to use the sales forecast packaged application but, trying with different users all the users see the same data, i mean the Sales Rep A see the selling cycle of Sales rep B. Since the manager is right to be able to look to Rep's opportunities this is not valid between Reps. Am I doing something wrong?
What is the best and fastest way to implement such controls?

The sales forecasting app seems to be an overall view of sales and sales cycle, it doesn't restrict the data. It only restricts the Admin functions when you set at least one APEX user as admin.
You'll need to implement some sort of VPD (Virtual Private Database) policy to restrict data to each user.
You say that you "try with different users", how do you mean?
Have you set up Apex users as reps?
If you have, there will be no link to those users in the reps table in the database.
What you may have to do is set up a custom authorization and link it to the Reps table.
Search this forum and the Apex docs for "Custom Authorization" for help with this.
Your custom authorization will then have to link with the VPD.

I am unable to launch the iOS simulator from flash CC or find any info online about this problem. I have tried reinstalling flash and xcode. The error I get is:

Migrate certificate for native installer packaged application
Hi,
I need to migrate certificate (to new certificate) for my air app, which is a native installer packaged application. The certification migration steps in the docs mention migrating/ signing the .air app with old and new certificate.
But it doesn't mention anything about the natively packaged air app (the .exe)
How to migrate / sign certificates for native installer ?

Yes,I am using the old certificate for migration. However I noticed I was getting following error while migrating.
a) first I got the "Could not create time stamp: timestamp.geotrust.com" exception. I am completely unsure why this error. I didn't use timestamp while generating the old version of the app using the old certificate few days back (before old certificate expired).
b) then I tried to migrate using -tsa none option so that it could migrate to new air.
If this is causing the problem, I need to figure out why I get the timestamp error mentioned in (a)

you're question is a bit vague, are you trying to utilize the online OS X installation from the recovery partition? If you wan't to selectively install or re-install various packages there is an applications called Pacifist that enables you to choose packages from the InstallESD.dmg. If you have downloaded the Install Mounatin Lion application, there's several ways of accessing this disk image. The simplest is to click "Go To Folder..." under the Go tab of the finder menu and type the following "/Applications/Install OS X Mountain Lion/Contents/SharedSupport". make a copy of the InstallESD.dmg file and then when prompted by Pacifist select the file.
What exactly are you trying to do? Are you looking for X11/Xquartz? If you give a little more specificity I can probably help you accomplish your objective. -

I have looked at the Packaged Applications.
I declined to use them because they would require quite a bit of modification to meet my needs.
I find it faster and more reliable to code small utility applications from scratch so that my clients get exactly what they need; no more and no less.
APEX is awesome at pumping out these utility applications quickly and cheaply with acceptable quality.

Is it Legal to use an APEX packaged application, improve it and Sell it?
Any thought on this is appreciated, I'm trying to get an answer from Oracle but no one is sure of the answer. There is this Sample Database Application which is great to build a small shop POS program.
Thank youThis is quite good question, there are several tools which have very decent start for building larger and better application for e.g. in-house usage.
But those improvements are very likely wasted when new versions of those packaged applications are released.
One option could be community contributed enhancements to packaged applications which are then accepted/rejected to next release of the packaged applications?
Other option could be commercial enhancements to packaged applications with some sort of 'certified to work in Apex5' stamp?
Of course the licensing could be a bit more clear for the vanilla Packaged Apps. I think most of use love to 'reverse engineer' what they have eaten

DICOM packaged application install error - XDB schema error
Hi, I have worked through the install readme for the DICOM packaged application and on installing the DICOM_demo_installer.sql supporting objects I get an error when trying to create the table dicom_archive
ORA-31000: Resource 'http://xmlns.oracle.com/ord/meta/dia_demo' is not an XDB schema document

Where are you trying to install this packaged application (DB Version, DB Edition (EE / SE / SE1 / XE), DB Options, localhost / hosted environment)?
There are specific requirements specified in the readme.txt file provided in the zip file.
There are very specific installation instructions also provided in the readme.txt file.
Unlike most packaged applications this one requires various scripts be run prior to installing the actual application into APEX.
So could you please specify the steps taken to get to this error.

How to Create a Packaged Application
Hello,
I am trying to create a packaged application of an APEX program I have developed and I am following the "How to Review a Packaged Application" instructions in the Advanced Tutorials.
When I try to install the application on another workspace, the application "appears" but the supporting data objects do not install eventhough I select that option.
Additionally, the users do not get installed.
I have a feeling that I am supposed to create installation scripts to create the data objects (i.e. Tables, Views, etc.) in the "Installation Scripts" page but when I click on "Create Scripts to Install Files" the data objects are not there to select.
Can someone please let me know what I am doing wrong?

LEHYou can go to Utilities > Generate DDL, and use the built-in feature to generate a DDL script; however, it's up to you to determine which database objects will be required for your application and which won't. As for seeding data, you will have to hand-code a bunch of INSERT statements. Depending on the volume of data, this may (or may not) be practical.
As for users, if you are using APEX users, then you can also export/import the workspace, and the users will be preserved. If you are using LDAP, then you don't need to be concerned with moving users. Again, it all depends on what you're trying to achieve overall. Are you moving a system from DEV to PROD, or are you trying to package something that you will resell? These two different situations will each have different recommended best practices.

Desktop Software 4.7 - 8350i - No email options
I'm trying to remove the signature on my Curve 8350i and I need to do it with the Desktop Software 4.7 which came with the phone because the signature cannot be edited or deleted on the phone itself.
The technical support says to click "email options" on the desktop software but I only have the following options...
"Application Loader"
"Media"
"Back Up and Restore"
"Syncronize"
"Device Switch Wizard"
Any help?In cases your email signature is set on your BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) account - do the following:
Login to you BIS site for your wireless provider. If you don't know address check this list
Edit your email account
Delete all text from "signature" field to remove signature from your emails.

I am trying to set up different ring tones but when I go into the Application Notifications there is no email option in the core applications section. There used to be but mine is now missing.
How do I get this back?That function is not available on a personal BIS account.

On page no 1, there are an intractive report,but it shows only Customer Name, Referencable, Users, Summary, Web Site, Category ,Status column in intractive report but there are more column in Report Attributes ,
Plese tell me how does developer hide the unnessary column in intractive report on page no 1.
