Email Output - Subject Line issue.

Hi,
I have an issue in changing the subject line of the billing output which goes as an email whenever newly created. I want to incorporate the subject line of the email as "ABCD Invoice for SO number '12345678' for Customer 'Customer Name' ". Here the SO number & Customer Name varies for diffenrent Billing document.
I can do this change to some extend in NACE  Transaction but unable to bring the Customer Name in the subject line.
Can anyone please tell how this can be done?
Regards,
Banu.

I don't believe this is feasible with the standard output program, but you should be able to do this if you create a custom (Z) version and make that modification there. Not sure if it's worth it, but that's for your business users to decide.

I am unable to read my emails - the subject line comes up but then no content? It was fine until yesterday. Any suggestions?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if the email text shows when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Acrobat 9 - Attach to email - missing subject line?

I just upgraded to CS4 from CS3. In Acrobat 8 when I am viewing a PDF if I go to the File menu and select (Attach to Email) I am taken to my mail app and an email was created with the attachment and the subject line is filled in with the file name. With Acrobat 9 when I try to do the same thing it does not include the subject line. Is there some sort of preference I can change to get it to include a subject line?
I send a lot of PDFs to customers and that feature in Acrobat 8 is a convenient time saver.
    Thanks.

I have both versions on my computer because some of us have clients with deadlines and can't afford to spend hours trying to find out why new software isn't working the way it used to or should.
I sometimes produce up to 50 pdf proofs a day from InDesign layouts that need to be emailed to my clients for review. It was so smooth to be able to just hit the button, have the pdf attach itself to a new email message WITH THE NAME OF THE EMAIL AUTOMATICALLY PLACED IN THE SUBJECT LINE, type in a small note and hit send. Now, thanks to some coding anomoly in 9.0 I have to remember to hit SaveAs BEFORE I hit the email button, select the name of the file, copy the name of the file, hit the email button, then paste the name of the file in the subject line.
This wouldn't be so frustrating if I didn't literally have YEARS of being able to use that feature. Also, if even half the features Acrobat purports to have even worked consistently I could see tweaking it, but it's been known in the industry since day one that most of the extraneous "features" don't even work like they're supposed to.
Portable Document Format was a brilliant concept and works beautifully as a way of consistently displaying and printing layouts across platforms, it's vastly superior to Powerpoint for presentations when the original design can be created in a layout program. Unfortunately Adobe decided to attach features to it that weren't properly tested so it's clunky to actually use, many of the features don't behave consistently or at all, and people can't create their presentations in it so they turn to Powerpoint because MS figured out how to make it easy to create simple presentations right in the application. Through the years, every time I've tried to use the features in Acrobat I'm left disappointed by the outcome and so now it's reputation as anything beyond a wonderful prepress and proofing tool is tarnished.
Also, on a Mac I don't know what kind of security issues could be in 8.0 that would leave me exposed. I open my own pdfs, files sent by my clients and others that I trust only. How is someone going to sneak past my firewall just because I'm running 8.0?
    How am I exposed?

Is it possible to extract the subject line of an email as a string?
If so, how might one do that?
    Thanks

  • How to filter to trash email w/ subject line of huge length of varying cryptic characters?

    example from cropped screen shot:
could not load; abbreviated transcribing of just some of the subject line text:
    =?iso-8859-1?B?SWYgeW91IGhhdmUgYSBmZXcgYwVudHMgb...

As the subject line will change for every email, it is not worth setting up a filter for every email.
Suggest you set up your Junk controls and train them to recognise Junk mail.
Then select the email as 'Junk'.
You can also setup Junk to empty on a regular basis,
Work through the info at the link to set up Junk Controls.
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls
However, are you sure it is junk mail and something in encoding has not been configured correctly?
What version of Thunderbird are you using and what OS?
    View > character encoding
    what is selected?
What happens when you select : Western ISO-8859-1
Tools > Options > Display > formatting tab
    click on 'Advanced ' button
    character Encoding:
What is set as outgoing mail?
what is set as Incoming Mail?

  • Dynamic sales order no. in Delivery item output Subject line

    Hi Friends
I  need to send delivery output LQCA item level, by mail and E mail subject should contain sales order no and product description.
    The method is to write:
& XXXX-YYYY& / &LIPS-ARKTX&  (XXXX is the table name containing sales order and YYYYis the field name of sales order)
in cover page text in output communication tab.
But I am not getting the sales order no. in any of the delievry table. It is there in LIPS table but not filled.
How can I pull sales order no. dynamically.
    Regards,
    Neeraj Srivastava

Hello Sales Document Number will be available in LIPS in VGBEL 9Reference) Field.
If not avaialbel there then you will have to go to Table VBFA & enter the Delivery number in Follow-on Document No. to get Preceeding Document number which is Sales Order number.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • EXTENDED NOTIFICATION AND EMAIL TEXT/subject line

    Hi,
kindly guide where the extended notification email text and subject of email is maintained?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The deadline monitoring job only creates additional workitems if a deadline is met, the sending of an email job retrieves workitems and sends them as email.
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

  • When printing an email the subject line appears top left, can I change this to my name ?

Have changed computers & previously my name would appear top left when I printed an email. Work in a large office & all using same printer, so now when I print an email its not so easy to find it.

    Select email
    File > Print Preview
a window opens showing email to be printed.
    click on 'Page Setup' button
click on 'Margins & header/footer' tab
    Under 'Headers & Footers'
click on first drop down - and select 'Custom.. '
by default it usually says 'Title' which refers to 'Subject'
A small window opens allowing you to 'Enter your custom header/ footer text'.
Type in your name and click on OK
The preview window will refresh so that you can see the changes.

  • Passing parameters to the subject line of SmartForm in an email

    Hello Experts,
Our SmartForm needs to be sent via email, & the subject line will be the Description of smartform.
Now, I am fetching a value via code in a segement & need to pass this value to the subject line.
I know it can be declared as &V1&, but am confused as to how to frame it.
Should it be declared explicitly in the initialization?
    Hope for your help.

  • Email subject line problem

I upgraded to Mavericks when it first came out. I have 5 email accounts setup in Mail. One of my Google accounts behaves oddly. When I create a new email, the subject line allows tyoing in a few (3-5) characters and then clears out and any new cahracters - up to 3-5 - are added, and then they are cleared out!
I have to either switch accounts, type the subject line and then switch back or type the subject in the body then cut and paste it in the subject. Both of these work but are annoying. Currently on 10.9.1 and finding this to be more painful as I send 50+ emails from this account daily.
    regards,
    Michael

  • Submit Form - Change Body of Email & Subject Line

I have my submitt button working correctly on my form and going to the correct email addresses when the button is clicked.  However, the subject line and the body of the email are not stating what I want them to.  Is there a way to put what you want in the body of the email and subject line?  I am using Adobe Prof Version 9.

This forum is for the Adobe FormsCentral (formscentral.adobe.com) which is a service that allows you to create, collect and analyze data using an online web form. You should ask PDF related form questions in the Acrobat forums: http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/acrobat_windows
I'll move your post to that forum so you don't need to retype it. They can help you out...

  • Add email subject line in HTML

Is there an existing function in Responsys that allows me to have the email's subject line displayed in the HTML? This is for the "view in browser" page to display the subject line as the page title.
    Thanks!

    Hi Keith,
Thanks for replying. I'm looking for a function that will add the subject line from the campaign editor dynamically so I don't have to update it manually for every email. One less thing to worry about. ;-)
