Email regarding change to Verizon Outgoing & Incoming Email Settings. Is it SPAM???

Received this yesterday. Can anyone from Verizon chime in and state where it's spam or legit?
Dear Verizon Internet Customer,
At Verizon, we continue our efforts to enhance your online experience as well as ensure ongoing security for our Internet customers.  As a result, Verizon Online has modified the way email is handled when sent or received through an email application other than MyVerizon.
If you only use MyVerizon to access your email account, no action is required and you may disregard this email.  If you do, however, use other applications to access your Verizon email, such as Outlook Express®, you will need to modify your email settings to take advantage of enhanced security we now offer.
In order to make these modifications, please visit http://verizon.com/emailsettings for information about the  email settings you need to update.  Additional information may also be available by going to our online forum at http://forums.verizon.com/.
Thanks for being a valued Verizon Online customer and we encourage you to act now to ensure your email account has the proper settings on a going-forward basis.
Sincerely,
Verizon Online

  • How do I change the font on incoming email in Windows Live--it is too small in Firefox

I can change fonts in outgoing emails, and on website screens, but the incoming emails in Hotmail and Windows Live it is way too small to read. It is fine in Gmail. Can you tell me how to change this to a readable font. Using the Tools option does not work.

  • How do we change the code of incoming emails?

Prior to downloading the latest version of Firefox, we were able to access the code-changing service via the orange button in the top left corner of the screen.
The latest version has done away with that orange button and its associated drop-down menu, wherein we used to be able to change the transmission code of incoming emails to Unicode.
How can we change the codes now?
It is very disappointing that you make stupid changes without any notification.
What was wrong with the old orange button, that it HAD to be changed?
It appears that some ignorant newbie, who is unaware of what is really going on decides to make a name for himself, making cosmetic changes – simply for the sake of making changes!!!
Whenever changes are made, they firstly should be absolutely necessary; and secondly your users should be notified of the implications of any changes.
The current disregard of customers is just not good enough!!!
Since the loss of the orange button, we have been forced to perform the tedious, time-consuming task of editing each email which is to be stored, removing all the ASCI-type codes from the text. Previously, Firefox altered the transmission code on request – MUCH simpler & MUCH quicker & MUCH more convenient!!!
How are we supposed to get Firefox to do the change?? Pray tell.

Hi, I am sorry that you do not like the changes in Firefox 29. I would be happy to help you with the problem that you have.
Mozilla did not completely remove the menu function that you are talking about. If you look at the top left side of the browser you will see an icon with three horizontal lines. This has the same function as the Firefox button that you talked about. It is customizable and takes up less space when configured this way. That was the rational behind the change. From this point you click on options. After that it is all the same. I hope this helps. If you are really unhappy with the changes to Firefox 29 I wold recommend that you let Mozilla know. • Is it possble to change the font of incoming emails?

My thinking is that on long email conversations, i'll be able to see what i have written by the font...

i should rephrase... is it possible to change the font of each emailer on arrival... to help distinguish people?
    No, that's not possible.
how odd, apple dictionary doesn't recognise the word 'distinguish'...
side topic reply. i'm not doing well on the 1st time explanations today, am i?!
it's in this box i'm typing in now, i wrote distinguish but this box that i'm typing in now, can't recognise the word.
in fact, ignore me, the apple dictionary doesn't kick in in this box, it's the spell checker for the apple website, and it finds it fine.
    ignore

  • Apple ID's email somehow changed to my sister's email. she doesn't know the password to it so i can't delete the icloud account

My apple ID is my dads email as my whole family uses it. for the Icloud account (which we don't use but want to delete) the email somehow changed to my sisters email. I want to delete the account but can't as 'find my iphone' needs to be turned off. no-one knows the password so i can't turn off 'find my iphone' and delete the account. I've tried resetting the password but no email was sent to my sisters email regarding resetting the password, i think it's because her email isn't an apple ID but i have no clue. i went to the apple store last week and the genius somehow deleted it. i backed up my phone with my apple account on icloud as i couldn't do it on my computer. i got a new phone yesterday and icloud has logged onto my sisters email but with no password. i need to delete her account so i can put mine on and restore my phone.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contactAppleCare, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

  • Is there a way to change font size in incoming email messages?

In the Mail preferences I see options for changing fonts and sizes for composing email, but is there a way to control incoming font sizes?
Some emails for some reason show up in very tiny fonts when they come into my Mail program
    thanks
    nick

    Hello Nick,
Thank you for the question.  You can update the font settings in the Preferences for Mail.  By going to Mail>Preferences>Fonts & Colors, you can update the Message list font and the Message font for easier viewing.  The Messages font will only change to the font you select if the sender does not have specific formatting for the text in their email:
    Option
    Description
    Message list font
The font and font size for viewing the list of messages (in classic layout only). Click Select to use a different font.
    Message font
The font and font size for writing and viewing messages. Click Select to use a different font.
If the sender used a specific font for a message, that font is used when viewing the message.

Inder: When you set the incoming email, you get option to save only email and not attachment. check the incoming email settings on that library.
2)In Mozilla I can see the following popup when i click on the email,I want to have this functionality on internet explorer.
Inder : You can do that

    Also enable below feature
lick the gear icon to open Settings, and then click Site settings.
    Click Site collection features.
Note If the Site collection features option isn't present, you must first click
Go to top level site settings.
Locate the Open Documents in Client Applications by Default feature in the list, and then click
    Activate.
3)I want to write content organizer rules depending upon the email subject, but i m not able to find that column
I assume, Email subject should by default become title of that document. Try title

I was not able to set up the incoming email settings in my test discussion board list.
even though my Exchange Server team has done the setup the Exchange related things in my SP 2013 server, I was not able to see any emails flowing into discussion board.

    Am i missing any steps?
I have attched the below screen shot, which shows what i have done in the list settings:
Is anyone has faced this issue before?

    Hi  ,
According to your description, my understanding is that the discussion board cannot receive emails after you set up the incoming email settings in the discussion board list.
Could you find the email in the  drop folder?
If not , please make sure you have configured the incoming email settings correctly:

If you can, what is the x-sender’s address   in the email which is captured into the drop folder ?

  • Incomplete Incoming Emails

Some of my incoming emails are incomplete and just show boxes full of the letter A.  Even if I upload images it makes no difference.  Can anybody advise me how I might remedy this.  It seems to be emails from companies that are mainly affected.  I have looked at FAQs but not found any assistance for this problem.
    Thank you.
    Jennie

Thanks the email is 6.3 and OS X 10.8.3 - brand new!  I realise it is now about reading the email in plain text, but is there any way I can change it for all incoming emails or can you only just do it message by message.
Many thanks for responding with help.

  • Block Incoming Emails

    Hello,
I have a solaris 10 machine running Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-8.01 . I'm using this server only to send email , not to receive. I have another server for Incoming emails.
I Want to block incoming emails from outside domains on the SMTP out server, thus I added "tcp_local|*|tcp_intranet|* $N$D30|you$ are$ not$ allowed" under "ORIG_SEND_ACCESS" mapping table, then restarted messaging service.
This rule did not work for unknown reasons, I can keep sending emails from outside IPs or domains to inside users using the SMTP out server.
Note that there's a similar rule to stop relaying tcp_local - tcp_local and it is working perfectly.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Incoming emails take a long time on OS X Server

I had Lion Server 10.7 and recently upgraded to 10.8 in hopes that this problem would go away but it hasn't.
I find that emails (particularily but not limited to incoming emails) are very slow to arrive. Last week, a client emailed me in the morning about our appointment later that day... I didn't receive it until that evening. My wife apparently emailed me three times today and I've yet to get them... one was a response to an email that I sent her.
Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone heard of this type of thing happening due to a poorly set up DNS?

    probably grey-listing.
Mail from new senders is delayed.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greylisting
Its very effective in fighting spam, but does introduce delays which many find unnaceptable
If you would like to disable it
    Change the setting via Terminal
sudo serveradmin settings mail:postfix:greylist_disable = yes
    Then activate the change
    sudo postfix reload

  • Lost incoming emails?

I have recently added a second email account (gmail) to my mail box as I have been having major problems with orange ( who have admitted that they have a problem currently sending emails) ; since then, "mail activity" shows incoming email which does not then appear in the inbox. I am still receiving emails from both my email accounts, but not as per the quantities shown under mail activity. This makes me think that some emails may be going astray, or are being hidden in some way. How can I resolve this?

If your Gmail account is set up as an IMAP account, as is the default, then there can be lot's of activity building the history of everything on the Gmail servers. Is it set up as IMAP? You certainly can use the web interface to confirm the messages new to the server.

  • ICloud still using old email after changing it to new?

Last week I changed my email, and changed all of the necessary emails in my Apple ID account. However, when asked to sign onto iCloud, it's still asking for a password to my old email. How to I change my old email to new for my iCloud?
Other useful information: My Apple ID is my NEW email address. Everything is my new email. I'm assuming my iCloud Apple ID email is different if it's still asking for my password for my old account?

Yes it is possible to use migration assistant from an old mac to a new one to transfer user info although I would not recommend doing that. If it is at all possible I would recommend you do a fresh install on the new computer and move over only things you need (such as iTunes, iPhoto, whatever). Doing this will be a lot better because you will not also be moving the junk from your previous account that you don't want cluttering up the new one.
What migration assistant does is copy the data from one computer onto another. Nothing is being removed from the old mac, it is just being copied.
