I have a formula where I want the columns to remain constant but I want the middle number to increase by 1.

I have a formula,  where I want the columns to remain constant but I want the middle number to increase by 1. How do I do it? =SUMIF($F2:$F45,1,$H2:$H45)
The first cell contains the correct formula with the columns highlighted. Autofill gives me a red triangle. The columns are no longer highlighted.
I have done this in Excel. I will learn Numbers!
Thank you.

Hi,
When posting formulas, as a courtesy, please select the formula in the entry bar, Copy, then Paste the formula into your message. This permits the reader to copy the formula directly from the page, paste it into the reply, and edit it there. When pasted as an image, that reader has to read the formula from the image and type it into the reply, increasing the probability of errors creeping in.
=SUMIF(F2:F10,COLUMNA+1,H2:H10)
The syntax error is in the part shown in bold. Here is the image of the similar formula from my reply above:
With the syntax error corrected, your formula would read:
=SUMIF(F2:F10,COLUMN()+1,H2:H10)
Restated in English, the formula says:
"calculate the SUM of all numbers in cells H2 to H10, where the value in the same row of column F is equal to the column number of this cell plus 3."
In your image, this cell (the cell containing the formula) is C3. That's in column 3, so the value "COLUMN()+3" is 6. Considering the headers in your screen shot, that is probably not what you want to happen.
NOTE: Your original formula (and mine, modeled on that original) used the $ operator to fix the Column values of the cell references, making them stay the same when the formula is filled right. Your description indicates you want to fill the formula down. Unless you attach the $ operator to the Row part of the cell references, the row value will change as the formula is filled down, producing an 'invalid reference' error when the referenced range extends beyond the bottom of the table.
Change the range "$F2:$F45" in your original formula to read "F$2:F$45" (and make a similar change to the range in column H) to keep the range the same when the formula is filled down. You'll also need to use ROW()-n in place of COLUMN-n, as filled down. all copies of the formula will be in the same column.
Regards,
Barry

  • HT1918 I am unable to locate where to change the phone number that is associated with my itunes account.

I am unable to locate where to change the phone number that is associated with my itunes account.  I have a new number and the old number is no longer accessible by me.  I've logged into my iTunes acct and it seems I can only change my appleID itself, my billing address info, and password and things like that.  I cannot find where to remove a number and add a new one.  I've gone to my mobile devices (iphone, ipad) as well as my mac and I'm getting a bit frustrated with it.  I'm sure there's a simple solution and I'm just missing it.  Going to settings>messages>send&receive....there is the old number and no option to make a correction.  I've unchecked it but why can't I add the new number?  On my iphone the ONLY option that shows up is my current number but when I set up my new ipad I have the issue described here.  I want this number completely removed from my account there has to be a way to get it out of the system.
Also when going to settings>facetime>you can be reached at:  shows email addresses as well as the OLD phone number with no option to make the correction, remove the incorrect number, or add a new number.  I figured this was tied in to my appleID since thats when it showed up (right when I signed in on my ipad).  So I went to itunes on my mac and went to my account and there I find AppleID Summary, itunes in the cloud, purchase history, and settings.  I've gone through each of those and am still unable to figure out where to change it.  Somebody PLEASE tell me where to find this data so I can change it.  I've seen multiple inquiries about this all over the internet but everyone's solution is to do exactly what I've already done.  No resolution to the real issue.

Apple will have it, but if there is ever a question/problem, the store that you made the exchange at will have it on record.
But if you're worried about it call 800-APL-CARE and see if they have it.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and the serial number.  It is asking for an older serial number?  Please help?

    Hi juneb55782770,
I believe that you have an upgrade version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, in this case it will ask for the serial number of the previous qualifying version.
You can find your old serial number using this link : Find your serial number quickly
Hope this will resolve your issue.
Please reply if you still experience any issue.

  • HT1349 I don't have a MAC, I have an HP pavilion a706n so I don't know what the serial number is. The HP serial number was accepted and neither was my itunes serial number. Does anyone know where to find the serial number?

I am trying to find the serial number that is required by itunes for troubleshooting. But the trouble is, I don't know what it is.
My computer is a HP (not a MAC). I have the itunes serial number. Before loosing my almost 5000 songs I was using an
older version of itunes. I thought if I upgraded to the new version that I would get my itunes back. When I noticed the songs
were gone was when I was taking saved items from my documents into a new 500G hard drive I bought yesterday. After
loading a bunch of stuff it (not any itunes) I went into itunes and ALL of my songs were gone. What happened? What should
I do? & Where is that serial number they are talking about?

    Hi Susan,
Not sure why your post ended up in the Apple Server section but here goes.
By default your music should be located in one of the following locations
which you can see by clicking on My Computer
Windows XP - C:\ - Documents & Settings - Username (your name or your login name) - My Music - iTunes
    Windows Vista/7 - C:\ - Users - Username - My Music - iTunes
it's unlikely your music has been wiped and more likely that iTunes can't find the library file that tells it what music is in your collection and where it's located. This can happen if you renamed or moved one of the folders above to something/somewhere else. Another idea is to do a search and look for files in a format used by iTunes such as .mp3 or .aac which might show you where they are.
    Hope that helps

  • D2D2T where to put the middle D (on the XSan).

Hi all, for all of those implementing D2D2T what is the datastore used for the middle D.
Assuming the first D is data sitting on your XSan.
Assuming the final T is some kind of tape (library) device.
Where do you build your temporary backup/archive?
We were first thinking (see other posts )of making a virtual tape library on a part of our XSan but we now get some advice to put it on a direct attached raid (attached to the backup server that is).
Anyone want to share their thoughts and experiences.
    Peter

I do have a nice harddrive but my projects are huge. What is the backupfile and why is the size not big? It doesn't include the project just where everything is in the project?
I am using one of the fastest firewire 800 drives on the market with a brand new macbook pro with an ssd in it. It's not a thunderbolt drive but I get no lag. And I usually don't even convert my Canon 5D Mark iii footage to prores. I do however have to convert my go pro 3+ black footage or it lags.
I understood the old final cut. I'm just having a harder time with the changes.
When I backup my project, which I backup to another external drive, what do I do to do that? Just drag it? Used to, I did not drag it.
Before this update on final cut pro x, the old way, it would let me right click on the project and save it with it's included events to the other harddrive to back it up.
How does one go about that now? Or is it safe to just drag it?

  • Where to find the certificate number for Toshiba registration?

    Hi,
I am new at this so forgive me if the question was already asked. I just bought a Satellite U200-170 and I want to register my self on the Toshiba site for the pickup and return services and the others services they are offering.
The question now is that when Im filling in the form they ask for the certificate number, which Im not able to find any where on my laptop (or I dont know where to look for). Could anybody please help me?

Check all your documents which you have obtained with your notebook.
Furthermore at the bottom of the unit you will find the serial number.
As far as I know this number is also necessary.

  • HT1349 How do you get help from apple if you don't know where to find the serial number of my "product."  I don't know if they mean my itunes program, my iphone, my computer, which one, the number on the computer (is there one), or something in Windows or

How are you supposed to get help from Apple if you don't know what your serial number is?  They say to input the serial number of the "product" that you are asking about.  Since my problem is how to deauthorize/authorize computers, and they are saying I have more than 5 (which I have never owned more than 5 computers in my life), I can't imagine what serial number they mean.  Does it mean your desktop computer?  If so, which one?  Do they mean your device?  LIke your iPhone, iPod or whatever?  Do they mean the software ON one of your computers and/or devices?  If so, which program, and on which computer/device?
We have three operational computers, one does not have iTunes on it.  Since Apple is saying I have more than 5 authorized computers, and I can't imagine what they are, I am afraid to deauthorize all my computers.  See what I mean?  I just wanted to ask the question about how I can find out WHICH computers Apple thinks I have authorized, so I can decide if it's safe to deauthorize them all or not.  I only know of 2 computers that have iTunes on them, so how can there be 5?  We also have 2 iPhones and 2 iPods in this family, but one of the iPhones has his own apple id.  He may have been using mine, since his computer died.  I read that those don't count as "computers" to the 5.  Do they, then?
Help!  I can't contact apple because I have no idea what they mean about serial number.  I doubt they would help me anyway.  In order to get the serial number off my desktop computer (that has iTunes on it already), I will have to move furniture, so I don't want to if that's not it.  Is there some way to find the serial number in the software, either on my desktop or my iPhone?

You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.
