Email reply looses formatting
Does anybody know why when I reply to an email from my Blackberry 8800 that was originally sent as an HTML my reply is viewed without any formatting (all words, spaces and returns are compressed)? If so, what is the solution? Thanks - it is driving me crazy! ~vg
I don't think I've seen this on the popular webmail sites (Yahoo, Hotmail/Windows Live, Gmail). What email service is it?

Smartforms as email body looses format
Hi experts,
I´m using Badi BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF to change standard Smartforms, and when I use parameter CV_SMARTFORM_MAIL to send my own form, I see the result on tr. SCOT without any of the Smartform font styles, and format; it´s only plain text there!
Can anybody help me?
Thanks a lot!
Federico AlvarezDear Pradeep,
I really apreciate your help, thank you very much.
However, none of this Notes where helpful since we already have implemented Support Package 13, which includes all of them (Notes have been available with SP 12 and previous).
Regarding to the thread provided, I´m doing exactly that: just changing Smartform_mail parameter inside de Badi with my own form, and I get the Smartform data inside the mail body, but without any format or style: it´s like the whole Smartform were converted into plain text.
Any idea? Am I not supposed to get the Samrtform with font formats and borders, etc, inside de mail body?
The attached Smartform (which the system automatically converts into PDF) looks good. But the other one, as mail body, really sucks as plain text...
Kind regards,
Federico. -
Replying to emails, I loose the icons at the top (the Toolbar)
This has been going on for a while but now I'm getting perturbed. Seems like it was worse when I upgraded to Leopard. When I reply to an email, I loose all the icons at the top (like send). To actually send it, I have to save it as a draft, then open up the draft and TaaaDaaa there's my send icon. Any ideas?
Heatherwhen you hit reply for an email, before doing anything else and with that email window still opened - even though you do not see the icons, go to the mail menu, then choose view>show toolbar. that should do it.
hope this helps -
Setting default for Email Reply text colour
Hello, Can anyone tell me how to change the default colour for my signature and email replies from BLUE to BLACK?Currently, I only see the option to 'format' each individual email reply. I don't know why the default colour for the text and the signature is BLUE but I would really like to change it to BLACK. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,interloper1969
Don't know how I overlooked this before but the following is the expected result
Composing a new email, black text
Reply or forward to a email, blue text
These cannot be changed so I'll share your feedback internally for future consideration
Thanks!

Detect blue email reply at the current selected line
Hi all,
I want to detect whether a blue email reply line (see picture below) is at the current selected line and do some action. Is this possible to detect it? I think observing the ParagaphFormat of the current selection could be work.
JensHi jfrederich,
In addition to Eugene's reply, you can get the paragraph's Borders property, check the sub-properties of this property to determine if this selected paragraph has some blue border line:
Outlook.Inspector inspector = Globals.ThisAddIn.Application.ActiveInspector();
Outlook.MailItem currentOpenedMail = inspector.CurrentItem as Outlook.MailItem;
Word.Document doc = currentOpenedMail.GetInspector.WordEditor as Word.Document;
string s = doc.Application.Selection.Text;
//doc.Application.Selection.ParagraphFormat.Reset();
Word.Paragraph para = doc.Application.Selection.Paragraphs[1];
Word.ParagraphFormat format = para.Format;
Word.Borders borders = format.Borders;
//check properties of borders variable to determine if this paragraph has some blue left border

Customization of DAC to send emails in XML format
Hi,
We need to customize DAC to send emails in XML format to the support team whenever there is a failure of the ETL load.
We use the HPSC ticketing system.
Any help to achieve this functionality is much appreciated.
we have tried to customize the existing email template of DAC, but it is not serving the purpose to generate the ticket in HPSC.
To generate the HPSC ticket, we have a XML format. We need to customize DAC to use this format.

Hello everybody,
First of all:
I already searched via internet but couldn´t found an example which helped me to solve my problem. Anyway I believe it must be very simple what I want to do.
My Problem: I want to send an email in html format, but until now everything I tried didn´t worked. Please help me. What do I have to do?
I already tried a lot of code typing. For example this one:
this.resolveNode("#event").submit.target="mailto:"+email_adressen+"subject="+subject+"&Body="+body+"&MessageFormat=HTML";
But nothing is working, you always see the html tags in the text - they have no effect at all :-( .
Best regards,

Send Email with HTML format in Outlook Macro
I can use the following to send email with HTML format in VBA. I also have created an HTML file. Is there a way to load the file into .HTMLBody to send it as HTML format message?
Set OutlookApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
Set objMail = OutlookApp.CreateItem(olMailItem)
With objMail
.BodyFormat = olFormatHTML
.HTMLBody = "<HTML><BODY>Enter the message text here. </BODY></HTML>"
.Display
End WithTry:
Dim fso As Scripting.FileSystemObject
Dim htmlFile As Scripting.TextStream
Set fso = New Scripting.FileSystemObject
Set htmlFile = fso.OpenTextFile("C:\path\to\my-html-file.htm")
strInsert = htmlFile.ReadAll
then change:
.htmlbody = strInsert
oh, and you need to set a reference to the Scripting runtime in Tools, References.
