ALV output to be send to an email in Excel format

Hi All,
Now I am sending alv output to email through excel format successfully but my problem is in last coloumn output some times last charectors are missing. Please help me out.
For example out put is 'Not Approved'. Some times it is displaying correct and some times it is displaying only 'Not'.

Send table with email as excel-attachment

Hi.
I have such a requirement. I have a report that selects data and show it in ALV form.
No I need to execute it as background job and then send emails with selected data as an attached excel file.
Does anybody know the way to convert usual internal table into the internal table that contains the same data in a excel file form, that I could send then with email?
All ways of converting itab to excel use excel file on frontend PC as a destination. Is there any way to avoid downloading to a real file and then uploading back to internal table?

these steps will help u to achieve your requirement.
step 1 : for getting the selected records only , u can use the below code
lr_selections = go_alv_table_ref->get_selections( ).
lr_selection(gs->get_selected_rows( RECEIVING value = gt_rows ).
Step2 : paa the selected records (gt_rows) to the method cl_bcs_convert=>string_to_solix - (give the code page as 4103 -this wll convert to an excel file ) get the file and send as a mail attachment using the method 'add_attachement' from the class 'cl_document_bcs'.

Export alv to excl and send it via email

Hi.
My problem is not really to send an alv with xls format, the issue is that in the selection screen the user can enter a variant layout to generate the alv, so he wants the sent xls with the same layout.
As of now, I was calling FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 but creating the xls file using my internal table (including all fields, and without subtotals).
Is it possible generate a xls with the same layout that user has entered?

Hi Alberto,
Are you trying to download the ALV after displaying, maybe by using a button ? Then you can try with method EXPORT_TO_SPREAD_SHEET of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
And for FM you can use ALV_DATA_EXPORT.
If you are trying to download before displaying the ALV grid then i think you might have to send the complete ALV list to XLS attachment in mail.

Alv output splitting into two rows when converting into excel sheet.

I have alv report with 60 fields . The report output is coming currently . But when i am exporting into excel sheet from the option local file--> speadsheet each row is splitting into two rows including header in excel sheet.
Please provide your valuable suggestions to avoid this.

Hi,
Please use the grid option and with the Spreadsheet button (CntrShiftF7). Do "Save as" and save it as excel. It should work.

I want to send my report Via Email to an email address in HTML Farmat.i want to set destination property at run time retriving from database. (mean without giving any runtime parameter manually)Plz tell me how i can do that i am working in windows environment.

reports6i sends mails where the Report itself is attached as a file in the format you specified. The support for sending a report as part of the HTML mail body is provided in Reports9i.

Can a SAP report output by email in excel format?

we have some batch jobs for SAP reports running & sending the result to user by email every month, currently the format only in PDF file, is it possible to send the reports as mail attachments in xls format?

ALV Report output in Excel format

Hi ,
I am facing a different behaviour in two computers , while trying to take an Excel format of an ALV report output. After generating the ALV output ,in one , when I click on the Excel Format button - the Excel spreadsheet opens with the output data. In the second computed , under the same action , a blank Excel sheet opens .
Could someone tell me a solution . What aspect is responsible for this ?

Reduce the MACRO security settings in the Excel to Medium.
Open an execl sheet, Chose from menu Tootls->Macro->Security.
Chose the radio-buton medium. Close the file and all excel applications.Then try downloading again.

Procedure/sample code to download alv output in HTM format & mail to user.

Hello Experts,
I've a requirement to run the Alv report at background. But i need to download the alv output in HTM fomat because it has subtotal values & look wise downloaded HTM format will be same as that of ALV output. Then send the attachment through mail to users. I'm not intersted in downloading internal table dierctly to HTM format.
Will the code for alv display & downloading in HTM format & forwarding via email is all done in one single program or in 2 differnt programs . pls guide me on this.
I'm using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY to display output with subtotals.
Pls anyone there suggest me the steps to download ALV output in HTM format & the forward the same to user ID through Lotus notes.

This can be achieved without coding .
Fore ground Scenario:
1. Downloading as HTM . In foreground you can do this by using Export---> Local file
option in ALV grid.
Background Scenario:
2. In background while sending mail , You have to achieve the same through customisation settings as wexplained below.
In SM36 -- > Spool List Recipient, give the reciepient id and click on copy. Now when the Background job will be finished,
the reciepient mentioned above will recieve the mail , but in ALI format.
To convert the same to HTM format, you need to do customisation changes in SCOT
goto SCOT>Expant the node INT>Double click on Email-->Beside Internet we have SET tab , click on that -->
select the radio button " all formats except the following ">In the near by box type ALI>then click on the tick Mark.
Then go to SCOT>Settings>Conversion Rules-->there
create a new row with, Format->ALI , To Format->HTM , Ranking 1, FM -> SX_OBJECT_CONVERT_ALI_HTM.
Now when the mail will be sent, it will not go in ALI, but in HTM format.

ALV Output to Excel file

Hi All,
I am downloading the ALV output to Excel file.I am making use of LIST--->EXPORT--->SPREADSHEET option.
My list is having Header, Footer, sub totals and totals.When i transfer the list i am facing following problems
1.Even i am getting the empty columns betweeen my output.
2.In the Place of sub totals i am getting astericks
3.On the top of the records downloaded,"DYNAMIC LIST DISPLAY" is found.I want to avoid this text on the top

I am having 16 columns in the ALV output,but i got 19 columns in my excel file.
2.In the Place of sub totals i am getting astericks.
Generally there is no possibility to download the sub totals.i am using LIST->EXPORT->SPREADSHEET.
I am having the sub totals in my output.
*You would have noticed the' * ' for sub total and ' ** ' for grand totals values.*These sub total & total values are not downloaded but these asterisks are carried to excel file.
3.On the top of the records downloaded,"DYNAMIC LIST DISPLAY" is found.I want to avoid this text on the top.
I am using the application tool bar icon only.Still i am getting the same.

Schedule report MM60 as background job and send out in Excel format

I know that we can enter the recipient in the job setting(SM36) but the report is send in HMTL format.
Is it possible to send in Excel format?

I think it's not possible from SM36 you better get help from ABAPer to get the require output.

Broad casting Webi report in excel format to different users email ids

Seriously looking for the help, please help with the solution for below scenario.
We have a requirement to schedule broadcasting of Webi reports to users email in excel format from infoview. But our concern is how the system takes care of authorizations of users when we broadcast the report to their mail id as excel file.
For example we have one webi report for Finance and there are thousands of users for each department, cost centre etcu2026so how to broadcast the same webi report in excel to different users with only data they have authorized to see. We have committed to client that we can do this with out much massive overhead, please advise what is the easiest way to achieve this. I read something like this can be done using authorization profiles in CMS but creating those many profiles and mapping them to relevant authorizations is not possible as there are thousands of users with different authorization levels. And Client is expecting this broadcasting need to be done automatically with out every time manual intervention.

Please use the Dynmanic Recipients functionality of the Publication.
For this we need to do follow steps.
1) Create the WebI Report that needs to be published(Broadcasted)
2) create Deski/webi report which contains the user details and email id's for publishing main report.
3) Map the properties of souce report with Dynamic Recipient report.
Please refer the user guide for more inforamtion.This helps you in avoiding manual creation of profiles in CMC.

Periodically auto generation of Report in background and send result to user mail ID in Excel Format

Hi Experts, I want to get the warehouse inventory report to be receive by email in excel format every month end. also i have 4-5 transaction for that I need the report by email in excel format in specific frequency.
Can some one help me on this?

You can create batch Jobs (Trx. SM36) for executing the transactions in background at specified times and in the spool recipient option mention the email IDs of the recipients.
