Email sends usually, then other times doesn't?

I'm trying to figure out why my email accounts will send mail 80% of the time but the other 20% of the time they won't. No settings are changing as I checked them. It will usually pop up a message that says something like cannot connect to the server. Now I know it's not the server problem because I'll then try it on my laptop and mail will send right out. anyone else have this problem?

What kind of email account do you have POP, IMAP, or Exhcnage? Who is the email provider?
Try enabling the alternate AT&T outgoing mail serverin Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars> tap the account> Outgoing Mail Server> turn on the AT&T smtp server CWMX.com. This outgoing mail server can only send emails while connecting to the Internet over the EDGE or 3G network.

It's not quite what you're after, but Mail.app does have a background activity count property which tells you how many tasks it's currently running:
repeat
if background activity count > 0 then exit repeat
delay 2 -- wait 2 seconds before checking again
end repeat
There's no delineation of send vs. receive tasks, but that shouldn't be a big problem here.

CSV, email, send report to other aplication

My user needs some particular funcionalties into the report, but I am not an expert in WEBbi, somebody can help me with the answer, please?
is it possible to export the Webbi report to CSv? is it possible to send by email a webbi report? is it possible to send the report to File in a server creating a bottom into the report?

what version of business objects youa re using?
1) Yes you can export a report to CSV
2) Yes you can send WEBI Report to Business Objects Inbox, Similar to above task, click on Send To option.
Send To-->BO Inbox-->Uncheck "use Default Settings"--> enter user id
3) You can send the report to specific location on share point or some other location

Sometimes Firefox can access a website, then other times it says cannot connect to server, but it must be able to connect otherwise I wouldn't be able to go on at all! It's not the website, because loads of other people use it too. Help?!

Sometimes Firefox lets me get onto websites, then othertimes it says it cannot connect to the server, even though it must be able to because it wouldn't let me go on at all. It's becoming really annoying and I really need to use the websites.

Mail will send sometimes and won't send other times

Our mail in our whole office with sometimes send out using our pop account, and then other times the recipient will just never receive it. We get no warning if the mail was never delivered we just find out a week later that so and so never got our email. It has worked fine for years, now all of a sudden it variates.
Getting mail has never been an issue, only send (sometimes)

Need more information - way more.
For example, does the problem affect ALL mail at a certain time (e.g. all messages sent to any user fail) or does it only fail for some messages?
Does the problem affect particular recipient addresses or domains? or does it affect everyone regardless of email address.
What do the mail logs have to say about it? Do the logs indicate that the message was sent? or that there was some error?

Email send delay...really?

Why is Apple building its email program with a built-in sending-delay....or am I missing something?
I compose and send in Apple Mail. The email then sits in the Outbox for some random period of time. While I'm waiting I fire up AIRMAIL, which features a user-selectable delay including NO DELAY. I compose the same message as I did in Apple Mail and attach the same document but do it all this time in AIRMAIL, and whooosh, AIRMAIL sends it immediately. Meanwhile back at Apple Mail, the message is still sitting in the Outbox. There is no "Send Now" mechanism.
What's with the randomly assigned time delay: sometimes send is immediate, other times it's delayed for hours or as much as a day and a half. While AIRMAIL is set up identically to Apple Mail.
What am I missing......or is Apple living in a bygone era?

POPUP_GET_VALUES is good for more values as well (there is an internal table when you call the FM) however it is only good for a predefined number of possible entries, not that flexible, like you want...

Email sometimes only in All mail other times normal mailbox..same sender

Can anyone solve this dilemma ... sometimes an email will go into ALL Mail and other times the email from the same sender will appear in the normal email inbox.. very annoying... the only way I know the email is there if I am checking on my macbook or Ipad... only happens on Iphone.. any ideas

According to the gmail support, the All Mail folder is where you archive your mail when you try to delete from the Inbox. Does this address what you are asking?
No, the "All Mail" also shows the contents of the inbox, sent mail, and archived (trashed) mail when viewed in the Gmail App. In the iOS Mail Gmail account, what shows in the All Mail folder is random.

i have just updated my iphone 4 16gb to an iphone 5 16gb
The iphone 4 had horrific problems, for example: Cutting out on calls, it going silent, me not being able to hear the person i was speaking to and them being able to hear me, and then visa vera.. also the main button at the bottom started to break.. my text messages weren't sending and then when they did they would send several of the same one.. also with mixed messages in them.. some of the texts had been form ages ago and had been deleted anyway and bits of them would re appear in the middle of the text, but only show to the person recieveing the text.
I thought all of this might have been some water damage as i had nearly had it for 2 years... However on Tuesday.. ( 29th Jan) i recieved my new upgrade of the iphone 5.. i was so excited, but then today.. 2 days after recieving it, its starting to do EXACTLY the same things my old phone did... cutting me off, going quiet on the phone, not sending texts, then sending several ones... sending mixed texts. Safe to say i am fuming!!! i am with vodafone and rang them today asking why?! they said it couldnt be my handset as its a new one, couldnt be the sim because thats new too so it must be the area signal.. so she checked for me.. came back to me and said that the signal in my area is perfectly fine....?!?!?! that makes it even worse!!! so i have asked to return it....!! i was going to go with a different provider thinking that it was vodafone??but after looking on here it seems like its apple? i am very disappointed as i love everything else about the phone, but its impossible to have a phone like this! especially when i use it for work too!

My wife is having the same problems as a reciever. She works in a school as a teaching assistant and her teacher sends messages that are mixed with previous texts from ages ago.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem or is it only her and this poster?

I understand from a support note that if I keep trying my password/username combination, my BB will eventually delete all data!
I can't understand this. I'm completely lost now. I can't remember what I've done or tried to do. A plethora of usernames and passwords is swimming in my head.
Thanks for any hints. I have always loved this BB Bold and have never had any trouble with it.

But the real question is why for the past year did the passwords work and then all of the sudden after this anomaly the disk password doesn't work? I'm not 100% sure of what my configuration was, but I know that most of the time it required one password -- supervisor, and occasionally it asked for 2 -- disk password as well I believe. This may have been related to the Password on Restart setting I think -- asking for the disk password on cold vs. warm boot. But I know both were exactly the same. But after this incident only the Supervisor password worked.

Thunderbird won't accept comcast email to send most of the time, also gmail password most of the time

Sorry. I hit something and ended up on beginning page. No idea if you got the previous one of these. Put into search why won't thunderbird accept my password. Up came a messed up version of my comcast email password. My gmail password was not addressed. Since I used the singular for password, that could be why. Since a friend of mine somehow changed some thing, I could both send and get in to see my email using both passwords - comcast and gmail. Before that I could not get in nor send with neither the comcast nor the gmail passwords. First, I wonder what he changed. Second, did he mess it up further and make it much harder to fix? What is strange is when he changed what ever he changed, for a short time afterword, I could both send and get in to see the email using both , then it went to see email only with both passwords and not send with either one I really am sorry I had him work on it, but some how I did not find this system to ask questions. I made several attempts; however, only found articles. Actually, I found this by accident and am not sure I could it again. Would you please tell me how to get to this system? I tend to be verbose. I hope not too much so. Thank you for your volunteer time and effort. I truly hope this does not a lot of hassle to fix or tell me how if that is the way it is done. If I have to do it, please make it simple.

I am having the same problem. I have an ipod touch that worked fine up until the 4.0 firmware. The only thing I have noticed with mine that it was glitchy when it came to sending mail (which I use yahoo). Then most recently it stopped sending altogether. My isp is verizon & I have an airport extreme. I noticed today I can bounce off of a neighbors linksys wifi. Now I have no clue who their isp is. It's either verizon or comcast. Regardless I was able to send mail using their internet. Mine on the other hand is a no go.
I too am *extremely frustrated*. I have deleted my mail accts several times in hopes of it fixing the problem. I also updated to the latest firmware of 4.1 in hopes of it resolving the issue. I even tried using other smtp servers with no luck.
I hope someone out here has a solution to this problem. It is very frustrating.

WHen you go into iMessage settings at the top it will say your email account you are using for iMessage, press that and it will give options. Press sign out and it will use your current phone number if you're using an iPhone, if you're using an iPod then it will turn iMessage off. P.S. it doesn't sign you out of your itunes account for iTunes and all that, just for iMessage

Yes to receive an iMessage the recipient would need an iOS device (iPhone, iPod, iPad) and an internet connection. This is a messaging serviceprovided by Apple so the recipient does not need to check emails. If the contact does not have internet access at the time the iMessage is sent then a normal SMS through your carrier can be sent instead if you have "Send as SMS" turned on in Settings>Messages.
