My brand new iphone 5 cuts out during calls all the time, doesn't send mt text messages and then when it does it sends them twice?! why?? is it just apple or my network provider? bearing in mind my iphone 4 did exactly the same, so its a new handset sim

i have just updated my iphone 4 16gb to an iphone 5 16gb
The iphone 4 had horrific problems, for example: Cutting out on calls, it going silent, me not being able to hear the person i was speaking to and them being able to hear me, and then visa vera.. also the main button at the bottom started to break.. my text messages weren't sending and then when they did they would send several of the same one.. also with mixed messages in them.. some of the texts had been form ages ago and had been deleted anyway and bits of them would re appear in the middle of the text, but only show to the person recieveing the text.
I thought all of this might have been some water damage as i had nearly had it for 2 years... However on Tuesday.. ( 29th Jan) i recieved my new upgrade of the iphone 5.. i was so excited, but then today.. 2 days after recieving it, its starting to do EXACTLY the same things my old phone did... cutting me off, going quiet on the phone, not sending texts, then sending several ones... sending mixed texts. Safe to say i am fuming!!! i am with vodafone and rang them today asking why?! they said it couldnt be my handset as its a new one, couldnt be the sim because thats new too so it must be the area signal.. so she checked for me.. came back to me and said that the signal in my area is perfectly fine....?!?!?! that makes it even worse!!! so i have asked to return it....!! i was going to go with a different provider thinking that it was vodafone??but after looking on here it seems like its apple? i am very disappointed as i love everything else about the phone, but its impossible to have a phone like this! especially when i use it for work too!

I think your problem is the fact that your friend is not registered through iMessage, just text messages. I would look around and check out how to set up iMessage on iPhones.

I would like to know the exact error message when you sign in, in the meanwhile please try the following steps assuming its Windows, let me know if its a MAC:
1) Go to Start button>> Control panel>> Uninstall a program.
2) Check if you see Browser safeguard there, if yes then uninstall it.
3) Open Internet explorer>> Tools>> Internet options>> Connections>> Lan Settings>> and it should be like this.

Bluetooth cutting out during calls

Am having issues with my bluetooth (plantronics 320) cutting out while on calls. i have a treo 680 and the bluetooth cuts out frequently. have used other bluetooths and have had the same problem. the bluetooth does not disconnect just cuts out, if i hang up and call right back it works fine. anybody else having this problem

It sounds like the Bluetooth headset is not compatible with the device. To be sure check this list: http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/treo/680/att/solutions/article/41198_en.html.
Another possibility could be the headset itself is not working correctly. By any chance can you test this headset with another phone or Treo?

Try switching your simcards. (Get a paperclip, stick it in the side where there's a hole inside of an oblong oval. Then a little tray should pop out. If not, try harder.) Keep track of which sim card's which and which direction each sim card is placed into the tray. Put her sim card in your phone and your's in her phone. If that doesn't work contact your provider.

My iPhone 5c freezes after deleting messages and then I can no longer receive them. Just shows a blank screen of a new message

Every time I try to delete my messages, I will delete and then restart the app or it won't work. When I restart the app, it takes me to an empty message screen and then will completely freeze. My phone will vibrate like I am receiving messages, but nothing shows up on my phone. Recovering the phone is not working, as the computer no longer recognizes the phone as a device.

If your Messages app is still behaving unexpectedly, then based on the symptoms you are describing I would troubleshoot the software by first quitting the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
Let me know how that goes.

Restart your computer while holding down left mouse key. That will eject the CD and your Mac will start as normal.

6234 Cutting out mid call

Hi,
I have a Nokia 6234 which is a couple of years old and it has begun to cut out during calls. When it cuts out the line goes dead, the screen goes completely white for about 10 seconds, then the usual screen returns but is frozen for about 10 seconds then the phone is OK. This can happen a number of times in one call
It isn't related to battery strength as it will do it irrespective of battery level.
Any ideas on why this happens?

I've had the reception (tinny, robotic voice, intermitent voice quality) since purchasing my iPhone 5 two days ago.

Help! New iphone 3g not sending/recieving text messages or email!!!

Hey guys. I just got myself a 3g iphone today and im already havin issues with it. I updated to 3.1.2 right off the bat.
Well it seems that i can send email, but that seems to be about it. I can not send or recieve text messages. I can recieve email, but it will not notify me when I get a new email. The only way i can find out if i have a new email is by opening the mailbox and waiting for it to refresh.
Isnt this thing suposed to push my emails and notify me as soon as they are sent? How do i get this and my text messaging working? This is so disapointing since my wife just got a $10 phone that worked flawlesly right out of the box.

First off, Reset your iPhone. Hold down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the off slider, wait for the Apple logo to appear then let the buttons go. After it resets try to send a text message again. If it does not work there is probably an issue with your carrier and you will have to contact them.
As far as mail, do you have a MobileMe, Yahoo push, GMail push, or Exchange mail account? Because these are the only ones that will Push your mail to the iPhone. If you do have one of these make sure Push is turned on in the Mail settings. If you don't have one of these you can go to the Mail settings and specifying a mail Fetch period.
