Can anyone point me to a script that will allows users to email (a link to) the page they are currently viewer? There are a zillion of these scripts on the web, so I was looking for a little guidance.

    Hi, you don't have to put a link on your page. Safari has this function for you. Got to File--> Mail Link To this Page (shortcut is Shift COmmand I) and it will e-mail the link.

    They already have your number and/or email address and maybe have sold it several times already to others as well. They also use number generators - software that will automatically create them - some work and some don't, they don't care, they send out millions and a few will fall for it and send them money. The only way to "hide" would be to change both and your password, but then it would happen again at some point.

  • Email This Page Link

    I'm using the JavaScript code below for creating an "Email
    This Page" link,
    but it doesn't work for a dynamic page that has more than one
    variable. For
    example, if the URL is
    http://www.thispage.com/page.asp?id=123&color=red
    it
    does not grab the whole URL. It only captures
    http://www.thispage.com/page.asp?id=123
    in the email (leaving out color).
    How can I get the email link to capture the entire URL for a
    dynamic page
    instead of cutting it off at the "&"?
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    document.write("<a
    href=\"mailto:?subject=SUBJECT&body=");
    document.write(window.location);
    document.write("\">Email This Page</a>");
    //--></script>

    Just found an article called
    ASP:
    How to Get the Current Page URL
    If this works, you´d probably just have to replace the
    current
    document.write(window.location);
    with
    document.write(' <% response.write(curPageURL() & "?"
    & Request.ServerVariables("QUERY_STRING")) %> ');
    using the function that´s explained in the article.
    Works ?

  • Safari's Email This Page doesn't launch Mail in Mavericks

    Since upgrading to Mavericks, Safari's "Share | Email This Page" no longer opens Mail if it's not already running. All I get when I try is a system beep. I have to first open Mail in order to send the page link.
    Under ML, Mail didn't have to be open first - it just brought up the new message window and started Mail in the background.
    Is this happening for anyone else?

    thank you for replying Itrebing. Yess, you are right, however it is what RossRicky is writing about above, and there is no 'message' as you to kindly took the time to inquire about.
    I just did what Linc Davis suggested by starting up in safe mode...thank you for posting this Linc.
    I did not disconnet my external Hard Drives, or any of my periphierals (scanner which was not on, printer which was not on, headphones in case that matters...
    Linc, oh ye of 97K points (amazing)...
    RESULTS OF TEST;
    you are so right, I did not have the problem in Safe Mode. I sent an email to myself, and the images all looked fine when I recivied the email. (sending a web page via Safari: Share , Email this page)
    What now? How do I know what is causing it in regualar mode? As it is still happening in regular start up mode. See list of login items, and etrecheck report below.
    Was not having this problem w the previous system, Snow Leopard. only since mavericks. Of course safari was a different version then too.
    What do you think?
    Really appreciate you alls help.

  • Nothing happens when I hit Safari File/Share/Email this Page.

    The other available options under 'Share' work, however, File/Share/Email this Page yields no response.  Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

    From the Mail menu bar, select
    Mail ▹ Preferences ▹ General ▹ Default email reader: Mail

  • Safari's "Email this page" keyboard shortcut opens second Mail.app

    Hello,
    First of all, neither the Safari toolbar button nor the File > Share > Email this page work at all. Both do nothing. Quitting Safari & Mail has no effect.
    HOWEVER
    The keyboard shortcut (command + shift + I) does work, but it opens another instance of Mail.app. There is only one version on my mac.
    Any thoughts on that? I can't seem to find anybody else with such wierd behavior.

    Try resetting the LaunchServices database.
    Back up all data if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to the state it’s in now.
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
    Copy or drag — don't type — the text below into the Terminal window:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain user
    That's all one line, though it will scroll on this page. Triple-click anywhere in the text to select it all.
    Press return. Log out, then log back in.

  • Does Safari's email this page feature work with opening gmail in the browser and not in Mail?

    I use gmail, not mail, as my default email client. When I decided to give the "email this page" feature a try, it only opens up a new gmail compose window/tab in safari but doesn't actually include the link to whatever page I wanted to send. Is this the correct behavior? Is there anyway to go about getting this to work? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    I have the exact same question.

  • When select "bookmark this page" for certain sites, window shows that it is all ready in a folder, which I cannot find

    There seems to be folders in my bookmark library that I cannot locate, even when looking carefully through "show all bookmarks". When I select "bookmark this page" for one of the "missing" sites, it shows that it is all ready bookmarked in a particular folder. But I cannot find those folders!

    Try reformatting it in Disk utility and make sure to erase the raw drive's 500GB and that it is HFS and set to GUID Partition Table.
    Might want to bookmark the Lion Community, and also the MacBook Pro forum so when you do post, you are in the right areas.

  • Safari 6: Email this page, no page title as subject?

    In all my other browsers, choosing "email link to this page" creates an email in my default mail program (Outlook 2011) with the page title as a subject line and the link to the page in the body of the email.
    Safari 6 on 10.8, however, gives the link but no page title.  Most times I want to send the title.  Why the omission, and is there any easy work-around?

    That does as I described above, opens the email with the link -- but no title.  My question is about why no title.

    Can Iweb create a 'sign-up / sign-in' page? Or a password access page?

    Can Iweb create a 'sign-up / sign-in' page?
    No
    Or a password access page?
    No
    You can easily verify it by looking for a command. Either in one of the menus, the inspector, or the widgets.
    But there isn't a command.
    So you have to do it yourself :
    http://www.google.com/search?q=login+form
    Or check with your webhoster.

  • HT5484 Does it mean the 3rd-party iOS developers can use the fonts listed in 'Additional Information' of this page for free?

    On the page ‘iOS 6: font list’, there's an Additional Information section, listing a series of fonts _not_ pre-installaed in iOS 6. It also says that ‘Apps can also install the following fonts as necessary.’ Does it mean that Apple has already paid for the licenses of these fonts, and they allow 3rd-party usage for free? (I.e., may I bundle these fonts to my iOS app?)
    Thanks.

    Anything you have access to through the iOS SDK should be licensed for use in your apps, but you can contact the developer program support:

    or software licensing:

  • Page for complex HTML email

    Some folk who receive this email will NOT be using email that
    can handle complex HTML--and so will see a big mess of info.
    How do I "show a message" to these folk with a link to my

    instance.: "if you see this, your email does not display complex
    HTML. Please go to my site here: (a clickable link)." ???

    PS: I know my site is old fashioned--tables and frames! But
    it was what i could figure out.... Thanks!

    By the way - the page is 2.1 MB total weight.
