Email trigger through action

Hi,
we have a specific requirement where in we have created an action profile for the sales and service transactions.
The smartform in sales transaction should go as an PDF attachement and the smartform in the service transaction should go as a plain text.
As of now both of them are going as attachements.
i have done the changes in the SCOT as text based and both the smartforms are going as plain text .
can anybody guide as to how to achieve both like PDF for sales transaction and Text for service transaction?

Hi,
For a Smart Form Mail
Your Process Type should Be
Form name - Standard smart form like test with(CRM_SERVICE_SLA_MAIL_RR)
Processing class - CL_DOC_PROC_SERVICE_ITEM
Pocessing Method - as per your doc test with CRM_SRVORDER_ITEM_EXEC_SFORM
Archive mode - Mail/Mail and store as desired .
You will get the pdf smart form

Hi,
Automatic E mail notification can be acheived as follows
1. First of all decide on what basis would you want to trigger the action for eg. based on status or Date profile ...
2.Make partner dependent in the action definition and put the responsible partner function.( for eg:- employee responsible)
3.Now for your action profile maintain the Schedule /Start condition (if status = in process).
This will trigger the action (partner dependent) when status is in process and the document is saved(Action Definition) .If you want the mail to go after a stipuleted time you can attach a date rule to your action and a date profile with that rule to your transaction type .

Hi,
An option would be use Oracle Alert. Create an event based alert on the table where you have order approvals or rejections. This alert will be raised after inserting or updating this table. Create an action linked to this alert, and choose message as action type.
This setup can be done under Alert Manager Responsibility.

Swipe to trigger an action

Hi everyone,
after having studied the question reading different post on the subject I tried to trigger an action by swipping with one finger.
It almost work but there is a little problem.
Here is what I've done :
On the stage I put this code on the touchstart event :
e.preventDefault();
var xStart = e.originalEvent.touches[0].pageX;
sym.setVariable('xStart', xStart);
and on touchend event I put this :
e.preventDefault();
xStart = sym.getVariable('xStart');
var xEnd = e.originalEvent.touches[0].pageX;

else if (xEnd < xStart)
sym.play("play2");
the problem i that for some reason it only works with two fingers and not with only one. I can't understand why...
Another question :
The second step is to allow the swipe to trigger the action only it the swipe has been made in a precise rectangle.
I know I could use the same code and test x,y of the stage to know if the swipe was is the right place but I was wondering if I could just define the rectangle with opacity at 0 and then put touchend and touchstart events on this rectangle. Would it work ?

Not all emails getting through

I have my email set up so that I can access it via:
MS Outlook on a PC using POP
The VirginMedia web page, which uses GoogleMail
My Blackberry Curve 9320 (Pushed email)
I set up the email on my blackberry and I'm getting emails coming through. However if the PC downloads the emails first then they do not get pushed to my Blackberry.
As per instructions I went into Outlook and set up the mail account so that it did not delete emails from the server for 10 days. However I suspect that this setting does not work with VirginMedia / GoogleMail.
This is what I suspect is happening.... When Outlook downloads the emails the messages are removed from the "Inbox" and placed in an archived folder. This is certainly what it looks like on the webpage. The Blackberry does not see them as they are no longer in the "inbox".
There is a setting on the setup pages for VirginMedia email webpage that gives the option of
When messages are accessed by POP :
Archive VirginMedia mail's copy (my current setting)
Delete Virginmedia mail's copy
Keep Virginmedia mail's copy in the inbox
Mark Virginmedia mail's copy as read
The archive setting is causing me my current problem. The delete option would also give me the same problem and I would lose the email from the webpage app.
I am therefore left with keeping it in the inbox or marking it as read.
I really need to know how the Blackberry would behave in either of these situations.
If I leave the messages in the inbox then I presume that the Blackberry will keep trying to push them. I also think that Outlook will see them as a new message and download them again.
If I mark them as read then will the Blackberry still see them? I think Outlook will ignore the emails it has downloaded.
Both of these options would cause all emails to remain in the inbox on the webpage app, but I think I can live with that.
Someone must have had the same problem. I did a scan of the internet and found nothing. Perhaps I was using the wong search works.
Has anyone used the setup that I have? What settings do you use?

You need to leave the messages in the Inbox. RIM will push the message once to your device, and the message will be flagged as pushed by RIM and not pushed again. Outlook will download the message once.

For creation of follow up transactions automatically through Actions do we require copy control?

Hi All,
I have to create folow up transactions automatically when quotation gets approved. My question is when we create a follow up transaction automatically through Action Profile is it required to have copy control settings or not?

the idea of using copy control would be to copy the data as needed from the base transaction so that your follow up transaction data is consistent. You need to check your requirement and find attributes that needs to be copied over before you determine this.

When I go into my email account through Safari, I cannot see all of my messages. 26 may show on the screen but it says I have 32. However, at the bottom right it appears as if all the messages are showing and the arrow to get more is not highlighted.

if it is showing you 34 mails them it is correct. when you see your mail. apple has a smart way of arranging your mail.suppose you recieve 4 mails from one email id it will show you under one highlighted mail. so when you open a mail from anyone trying scrolling it down and you will find your missing mails.

I run a gmail email address through Outlook 2013. How can I synch Contacts to my iPhone 4? iTunes doesn't do it. Verizon doesn't know how.

Hi randers4. Already have. I have two (2) gmail addresses - only one of which I run through Outlook. Both are set up in GMail on the iPhone under Settings but Contacts and Calendars are only set up to synch on the account that goes thru Outlook. My email from both merge OK on the iPhone but Contacts and Calendars from Outlook doesn't come over and its the only one i have the Settings turned on for Contacts,Calendars and Notes.

I wanted to set up AS3 to trigger an action on or after specific dates (quarterly, 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, 10/1). Is this possible?
I can script getting today's date, but I am not sure how to script: if today's date is greater than or equal to (>=) one of these quarterly dates (greater than is essential since the video may not run on the specified date, so greater than is needed). Year is not needed, since the goal is quarterly action. But, would need to start over each new year, so quarterly action continues each year. Can't seem to get my brain around how to construct this and how to script it.
Any help appreciated.

if you can accept the user's date, you can compare the user's date's time property with your date's time property:

OBIEE 11g - APEX Integration through Action links

Hi All,
We are trying to achieve SSO between OBI and APEX. We got this working by the below process.
1. Integrate OBI domain with AD
2. Integrate APEX with the same AD ( Perform standalone configuration)
3. Create Action Link in OBI pointing to APEX form
4. Accessing Action Link does not prompt the credentials
5. APEX form opens up in a separate tab in browser
We checked this by logging into OBI using an AD ID and jumping to APEX from there through action link. However the user context is not getting carried forward to APEX. For example if we login as "d123456" AD user in OBI, when we access APEX form the user name is appearing as "NO BODY" at the top right corner. We have a use case where in we want to capture the ID who is accessing the APEX form. The field is updated as NOBODY.
But if we login to APEX stand alone URL, then the actual AD user name can be seen on APEX pages.
Can some one help on how to carry forward the user context from OBI to APEX.

Me sending service Quotation to customer as email by using action profile. problem facing here is, while sending email, sender name is going sy-uname so i was trying to set some default name in From address of mail body. Actually standard class and method which i used for this process is "CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER=>CRM_SRVORDER_EXEC_SMART_FORM" . In this method signature is_mail_sender is empty while processing and this parameter is used as importing parameter while calling FM "Function_Name" . Can any one give me some idea how to do this customization.

Forwarding email to .mac problems, some emails come through, not others

i have a forward set up through my hosting to send emails from my 'old' email address to my .mac account. some emails come through, but in tests through mail.app, some do not. the forwarded email accounts seem to get to me 30 minutes after i send them, or not at all.
any ideas? i thought it could be a spam filtering thing, or that apple is blocking something? but it just seems inconsistent, as i've received a few emails, but others i sent from the same accounts are not showing up.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
