Email with attachments not being sent

When I send an email with an attachment it is not being recieved. It shows up in the 'sent' box but never gets to the person I send it to.

It could be that the size o fthe attachment is too large and the server used by the reciever rejects it.  It could be you have the wrong address (not as likely).  I'd try the following:
1) send a short email with no attachment to xxx.
2) send a short email with a small file attached to xxx.
3) send an email with the file you tried to send previously to xxx.
Which of these works, which don't?

    Find it in your sent folder, then forward with any changes.  If it isn't in your sent folder, check your outbox.

    I have tried to send three emails with word attachments from Pages without any being sent successfully. I have received two messages:
    1. Receipient rejected by server ; and
    2. Content of email not sent

  • ICloud email with hyperlink not being received

    I have tried several times to send an email with a link to a tumblr blog and it is not being received by the recipients.
    It is in my sent items and I have not received a notification to say it has not been sent. If I send the same email without the hyperlink they recieve it.
    What is stopping this email from being sent properly and why am I not receiving a notification to say otherwise.

    It's probably being caught by a spam filter somewhere along the way. Spam filters don't usually send notifications to the alleged sender or the nominal recipient.

  • Sending email with attachments not working on Lumi...

    It is not possible to attach a file to an email, either via WiFi or my 4G connection.  I have two different Office365 email accounts (work and private) that work perfectly when sending/receiving emails with/without attachments.  However when I try and share a photo (from any folder in Photos) I can select a photo, choose Share-->Email account, but when it brings up the email message screen there is nothing attached.  The same thing happens if I create an ordinary email and try to attach any file, it won't attach and the email sends OK without the attachment.
    It is not an issue with the email accounts as I can send/receive attachments OK from my laptop and iPad.  It is only when I try and send from my 1520.
    This has got me baffled!

    try to delete the account and re-add the account.
    then, try to take a picture and immediately go to that image by tapping it on the screen and sharing as you stated.
    if that doesn't work, then I wonder if the device is corrupted and the images are not "really there"
    can you see the images on your skydrive account?
    have you tried to do a soft reset?
    Soft Reset-
    Hold Vol- & Pwr until the device shuts down
    When the device vibrates and starts to reboot, release ONLY Pwr button, still holding the Vol-
    When you see the (!) on your screen, then release the Vol- button and wait until the device boots.
    Your device is now soft reset

  • Forwarded emails with attachments not showing email thread history

    Hi,
    My boss has a Mac laptop and forwards me emails for me to action. When the emails have attachments the email thread history doesn't come along with the email, so all the conversation leading up to the email being forwarded. It just shows what he has written and stops at the signature.
    When an email is forwarded without attachments the thread history is included. We've done some testing and it's specific to him and his Mac.
    Sorry I don't have a mac laptop myself so don't know a lot of details about what he uses but can find out information that is important to solving the issue.
    I've had a good look but can't find any setting on his Mac to change this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Email Submission Receipts Not Being Sent When Collect Payments is Enabled

    I am working on a registration form and have included the option to have an email submission receipt sent to the registrant. I tested the form and sucessfully received an email confirmation. When I enabled payments via paypal and tested the form again, I didn't receive the email submission reciept. I've tried with several different email addresses (gmail and others) and don't receive anything. I've checked spam folders and nothing is there either.

    There is a known issue with notifications for payment forms when "Include submitted data" is not selected on the Email Notifications panel.  The fix for this issue will be included in an upcoming release.  In the meantime, you can work around the issue by checking the "Include submitted data" box.
    Also, please note there is a second issue in that notifications are not sent when the user simply closes the browser window after being redirected to PayPal, instead of either completing or canceling the transaction.  There is currently no workaround for the second issue so, unfortunately, some notifications may still be dropped even if "Include submitted data" is checked.

    Hi, I am testing the form now and we have a month trial paid account.
    I submited the form with my email address to test receive the email receipts however, I dont receive any email receipts until now.
    Can you please let me know why it is not working or I am not receiving any email receipts?

    The email appears 100% legit however i only use firefox as a backup browser and dont use it more than 2-3 times a month i just did a check on my firefo to see if it ever crashed without me remembering and it says this.

    How do i resolve someone else using my email add whe nthere submiting crash reports?

    Can you use the original email address where the crash reports are supposed to be sent to report the abuse?
    My point was that if you had access to the original messages claiming to come from you, you could do something about it by sending copies to an anti-spam or anti-abuse organization. If someone sends messages to someone else claiming to come from you, you do not have access to those messages.

    People who are submitting the forms are not receiving the email submission receipt. How do I fix this?

  • I am using a mac mini (10.8.3) with Mac Mail 6.3 (1503).  Whenever I try to forward an email with attachments, the attachments do not make it.  They show being sent, but the attachments never are sent.

    The title says it all.  Whenever I receive an email with attachments, I will try to forward the email to someone with the attachments.  Mac Mail shows that the attachments are attached, but the receiver says the attachments are not there. Our mail host is Rackspace.  We are setup with IMAP.  It should be noted that we are experiencing similar issues with OS 10.5.8 with Mac Mail 3.6 (936).
    We assumed Rackspace was the problem, so we logged into their webmail portal and tested it and the attachments were received as normal, which points everything back to Mac Mail.  We even had an ISP change but the problem do not change.
    I have researched the problem, and there seems to be evidence of this being a known bug with Mac Mail, but I am hoping there is a workaround.  The company is unwilling to move to a different mail client since they use Daylite 4, which does not support Thunderbird.

    Back up all data.
    1. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Open
    from the contextual menu. A folder may open, or you may get an error message that the item can't be found. Either result is normal. If the folder does open and has contents, move the contents to the Desktop. Relaunch Mail and test. If there's no change, put the contents of the folder back and quit Mail again.
    2. Repeat with this line:
    /Library/Mail/Bundles
    This time you may be prompted for your login password when you remove the items. Make sure they're removed from the folder and not just copied to the Desktop. If necessary, copy them first and then move the originals to the Trash.

  • Images not being sent with forwarded emails

    Hi,
    When I forward an email sent to me that has attached images, those images are not being sent when I forward the email.
    Yes, I am being asked to "Include" the attachments, and I click the Include button.
    I see the images in my message to be forwarded just before I send it, but the recipient does not get the images.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Recently I've had a problem with my iPhone 3Gs when I forward an email that contains graphics. The graphic is fine on my iPhone but when it arrives the picture is missing. I am selecting 'include graphics'.
    I've re-booted - no change.
    I've restored from a backup - no change.
    I've restored without using the backup - no change (other than I lost a couple email accounts etc.)
    Anybody got any other suggestions?

    I have been having the same issue since late September and been in touch with Apple support since. First they said they had no other reports on it so it was my phone. I started checking and found many other with the same issue. I called back and finally in November I was told they were aware of the issue and was working on it. The first week of January I called again and was told the update first week of February was going to correct this. I did the new software update and guest what....IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!! It is now February 14th and I am on the phone once again for the same issue that was known back in October 2009. I am paying $30 for data plan that I can not utilize 100%. My question after being patient for 5 months is who is going to refund me a portion of my data plan? Apple or AT&T?? This is a software problem that really needs addressed. Apple just releases an iPAD and can't correct this email issue??

    i have the 32 g 3gs iphone. i have no problem when i send pictures from iphone from my photo album. the problem i have is when i receive a email on my phone that has pictures not from someones photo album and i foward the email the people get the email but not the picture. all they get is ca blank square where the picture should be. i even fowarded to myself and the samething happens on my mac . I have called teck support & was told they are working on it. this is unacceptable. it should not take this long to fix this.

  • Mail; emails with attachments are not shown in Sent folder

    Since upgrading to Yosemite I have had lots of problems with Mail.
    One is that it seems that some emails with attachments do not show in the Sent folder! Some of them can be found further down, On my Mac in a folder called Recreated letters, or something like that in English.
    Anyone have the same problem?

    What is your version of TB? Have you changed anything since the last time it worked? Mail servers changes done by your provider are also possible.
    * Does it occur when an e-mail is sent immediately (before a possible auto-save, see below)?
    * Can you copy any mail from any folder to the Sent folder?
    I've heard of the error "saving to Sent" with older versions of TB, but not related to attachments.
    So, for the general saving to Sent error, some people report that this

    I've also heard that turning off "Auto save every .. minutes" in TB preferences > Composition > General has helped some in older versions and IMAP.

    PS: You seem to use Firefox 16, an extremely outdated and insecure browser version. Same for Thunderbird?   • Attachments not getting sent with emails on the cloud

    I am sending emails with my ME.COM account on the cloud, when I attach PDF files they show being attached but when I send it they do not end up at the other end. I have tested this 3 times and they are not being sent, the email goes though but nothing is attached at the receiving end, No error messages when sending. I have only seen this happen when I am logged in to the cloud, not on my emails from my mac or iphone. But will test them as well.

    Depending on the attachment type then you should be able to touch the attachment and view it in the Mail app itself - this won't work for every type of attachment, but things like PDFs, pictures, Word/Excel documents should open :
    Open an attached file: Tap the attachment to download it to iPad and then open it. If iPad doesn’t support the format of an attached file, you can see the name of the file but you can’t open it.
    Open an attached file with a different app: Touch and hold the attachment, then choose an app. If you don’t have any apps that can open the attachment, you can view it, provided it’s a file type that iPad supports.
