Emailing photos does not work

All of a sudden emailing photos out of iphoto doesn't work anymore for me.
I used to do this all the time, using my Yahoo email account. But suddenly iphoto starts sending the photos, says "SENDING", but then it freezes, gets stuck, and never finishes sending.
Any thoughts? I already deleted the Yahoo account in preferences and created it anew.
And I am pretty sure this may be the first time I tried emailing photos since I upgraded to Yosemite....

This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
https://appleid.apple.com
Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
And...voila' (I hope)

Sorry for the delay...
I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.

I was able to solve this by deleting all "Envelop Index*"- and "ExternalUpdates*"-files in ~/Library/Mail/v2/MailData. After that I restarted Mail and let it reindex all mailboxes.

Email button or menu Email Link does not work. Firefox 29.0 on Linux Mint 13

Neither the Email Link menu option under File nor the Email Button installed from the customise menu option when placed on the tool bar work.
Thunderbird 24.5.0 is the email client both installed on Linux Mint 13 with latest updates.
Nothing happens at all when on a web page and the email link is clicked or the envelope icon is clicked.
Help appreciated.

The Preferred applications menu list showed Thunderbird as the email program but it did not link the email button to firefox.
I had to eventually go to the Firefox preferences and in Applications, Thunderbird was not listed. So I selected Other and browsed to the filesystem / Usr/Bin and selected the Thunderbird icon which then put Thunderbird in the Firefox Applications options for email.
The email link / button then worked.
Now I have to sort out the link for emailing photos from Picasa as this does not work either

Email Photo function not working in lr5

After creating a new catalog on a new external HD I brought over selected photos from another older catalog on another external drive. Everything went fine except the EMAIL PHOTO function is grayed out and does not work. I checked with the former catalog and there as well it no longer functions. What's the solution?

Do either of you have an active internet connection at the times the Email function is grayed out? You certainly can't email something without an active internet connection.
Or maybe LR isn't seeing your internet connection.
Seems to work fine on my system with both LR opening my email program, Thunderbird, or directly from LR once I input the correct email server settings.

You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.

Email password does not work

My yahoo email pop for safari's email service does not recognize the password. Yet I can go to yahoo mail and log in?
How can I enable the same password to work with the same yahoo pop email address through safari's email system? Just so I can send emails to websites I visit.

Try deleting this file.

Move that .plist file to the Trash and restart your Mac, then try again.

If you do this, make sure and repair disk permissions after the installation.

Email submit does not work; print button does not work online

I installed livecycle 8 from cs3 onto a windows 7, 64 bit laptop
I created a sample form to see how it works (sample form http://neelyranch.com/dogbabysittingform.pdf )
Inside the program the form fills nicely, the print button works to my local printer, but the email submit does nothing
I saved and uploaded the file as pdf online and tried it from my browser (chrome)
Neiher print nor email submit buttons work
I saved it as reader extended via adobe 8 with no change
So, ??? am I doing wrong here

I ran the form in Safari, mozila and ie8
in all three the print button did work online, but in all three the email submit did not.

Thanks for both of the responses. If you did select send then I did not receive anything. I did check chrome plugins and found a message requiring an adobe update for pdf 9.
I updated the pdf reader which gave me an update to pdf 11
I revisited the sample form in live cycle and the online print routine now works in chrome and ie8 but the send email does not send
When I select the send button after completing all of the other fields, I get a message 'preparing to send ...' then a window pops up with nothng in it but a greyed out top heading row, then it disappears and that is it.
Has to be something between the button and the email pgm that is not connecting (my default is gmail)
Same result in both chrome and ie8 - zip.
Suggestions?

Yahoo email sync does not work

before posting this I searched the forums and tried all the solutions and they did not work. All solution were basically configurations adjustment.
I am using Bold 9700 on BIS. Yahoo email does not synchronize the messages when read or deleted from the desktop online account. But it works the other way around. (when I delelte or read a message from the web email it stays unread on the device and I have to go and delete it or mark it as read manually). it is very annoying that I have to do everything twice, specially that I am reveiving like 50+ emails every day in yahoo account only.
the email reconcilation configurations are
Delete on: Mailbox & Handheld
Wireless reconcile: On
On conflict: Mailbox wins
I called RIM and they said it should work 2-way, yahoo also it should work. I called Rogers, the tech support told me her device does like that. and all what she did was telling me change the configuration, save, change them back, and save again. and surely nothing of that worked.
I tried my yahoo mail, and other accounts, on iphone and HTC and they worked well both ways.
I really am not sure why people claim that blackberry are the best email handler! a lot of people suffer from sync problems, and there is no IMAP folders support on BIS!!

I have BB 9700 and Yahoo! BIS account. Worked like a charm until about a week ago.
It was even synchronizing my calendar and mail between BB and Outlook 2010 - never really understood how it managed to do that, but I was very pleased.
As of lately our telecom administrator spent hours on the phone with AT&T, Yahoo and RIM trying to resolve this problem. I was told by RIM tech. support that I've got too many messages in the inbox (measly 5000 e-mails) and that BB stops synchronizing after about 800 messages in the inbox, because it is timing out with so many messages to go through. Sounded like a total BS to me, but I still went ahead and cleaned up my Yahoo inbox and no luck, as I suspected. I was also told by tech. support that it is due to my using Outlook 2010 Beta2, which is not supported, hence the issue - another ferry tale, IMHO.
Hopefully, RIM will be able to get us back on track - manually deleting 60 emails every day is extremely annoying.

Update album with new photos does not work

maybe newbie post so please dont hurt me.
I add a new photo site- template site to my photo album folder, it applies on the album overview offline but not on the web. when i check the site on the web http://dasfelix.de/index/MeineAlben/MeineAlben.html
i can see the the additional album offline _but not online after sync the complete site_.
i did start with two foto pages + album index page and they are correctly applies to the root of my album at the beginning. it seems that any changes to that site not worked ( be shure that i clear cache multiple times)
it seems that safari will do it, the rest of browsers don't,,,, ??
any suggestions are welcome !

its better to change the name on the left of the top folder (pic folder to pictures, or Blog to blogs) then the whole underlying pages will be actual. once done and upload, just rename it back to the original. ( Pictures back to Pic or similar)

The link to verify my email address does not work

I am in the process of creating an apple Id and in order to complete my registration, I have to verify that my email address is correct.
When I click onto the verify email address link, it does not do anything.
Based on this I cannot sign in to apple, download apps, etc.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this situation?

Email personalization does not work with no first name

In Business Catalyst, if you insert the tag { tag_recipientfirstname}, the tooltip on this feature advises that "First name of the recipient (replaces with 'Friend' if first name is empty)".
This is false advertising.
It does not replace with 'Friend', it just leaves it blank.
Obviously, this is a major problem when trying to send out personalized emails, and doesn't help us make the case for a client to use Business Catalyst instead of MailChimp, iContact, or any of dozens of other email tools that reliably provide this simple, simple feature.
When can we expect this simple, basic feature to function as advertised?

IPod Photo Does not works...

Hi, I wanted to reset my iPod, so I've done it using iTunes...The iPod was resetting. Then the iTunes "told me" to connect the iPod to the AC adapter (without the computer) and an image on the iPod screen suggest it too. I've done it, but the screen does not change...and when I try to start the iPod it continue to display that image! I can't connect my iPod to the PC because the PC does not "see" the iPod. I don't know what to do, beacuse if i try to reset the iPod (hold on, hold off and then keep pushing menu and select for 6 seconds) it seems to reset but then it returns like I've done nothing! There is alway that image of the AC Adapter near an electric plug!
Help me please!!!

Your iPod needs to get charge with an ac charger to complete the Restore process.
Try to do a Reset and connect it back with the ac charger, be patient, wait for a bit longer i.e. 2 minutes
If it does not solve, find another ac charger with another iPod cable, or an iPod car charger or an iPod speaker dock system e.g. iPod HiFi, Bose sounddock etc

Does any one know why the iCloud email server does not work?

I keep trying to send mail but it keeps telling me the server is not working and to create another. Help!?!

Either it ended up in a spam filter or it isn't being sent to that address. If you can't find it, use the link in the 'Additional Information' section of that article to contact the iTunes Store staff.
