Emails don´t appear in phone´s inbox (only in subf...

I run nokia messaging on e71 and synch with gmail.
Many (gmail labeled) emails don´t appear in the phone´s inbox, but I have to navigate to the subfolder "all mail" to see them.
Certainly, they appear in my gmail inbox just normally.
Also, I am not alerted if these emails arrive on my phone (as only the inbox triggers the "new message" sound and is displayed on my active desktop.
However, other emails can be found in both folders, but if I read/delete in one of the folders, it is not unread/deleted in the other. No need to say that this is really confusing.
How can I handle this behavior?
I have to comment that right now nokia mail is not really a professional push-email system that can compare to bb...

I have the problem that is other way. My inbox is getting filled but my subfolder emails are not syncing...Please let me know if u have any solution. For each folder I also checked the subscribe to folder option also.
thanks in advance

  • My brother's emails don't appear in my Inbox

When my brother sends me an email, it does not appear in my general Inbox or in my Gmail account sub Inbox. I can view an email from him only if he calls or texts me to tell me he is sent it and I type his name in Mac Mail's search box. And viewing his emails with the search box works only if All is selected in the Search bar and if I select the Sender contains option that drops down below the Search box. He's starting to think I am purposely ignoring him because this is such an unusual problem that seems like it should have an obvious easy fix, but I haven't figured out how to fix it since it started happening more than a year ago. I took my Macbook Pro to the Genius bar tonight and the guy who helped me didn't know how to fix this, either. I am so frustrated. Can anyone help me?
If it matters, my brother sends emails to my Gmail account, which I access via Mac Mail, from his Gmail account.

If you log into the web site access, do his e-mails appear there?

  • How do you create a rule to forward/redirect emails to another account (eg: gmail) BUT, I DO NOT want emails to then appear in Mac Mail inbox?

I cannot close down my primary email account as it's attached to my current modem.
So it will have to remain open BUT I don't any emails going to this address.
I have created a gmail account and want any emails redirected to this account but wanted to ensure they don't also appear in the original Mac Mail Inbox.
    Any suggestions?

Changing the password as you describe only changes the password that your Mac sends to the mail server(s), not the password that the mail server(s) expect(s).
If the email account is "attached to [your] modem," it is supplied by your ISP (Internet Service Provider), and you must change the expected password through your ISP. Depending on your ISP, this may involve calling them on the phone, visiting a web site, or even using a special app. It may also require proof of your right to administer your email account.
After you have changed what your ISP's mail server(s) expect(s), you will need to change the password(s) your system sends in Account Information (for receiving) and Edit SMTP server list (for sending).

  • Mail + account setup properly, mail fetching starts but emails don't appear

I'm using Apple's "Mail" program for the first time (after having used Eudora for 20 years).
    I successfully:
    - Imported all my Eudora mailboxes + contents
    - Set up my email account settings
    - Connected to the Internet and sent myself a test email
HOWEVER, when I "Check Mail," and watch the "Activity" window, it seems to show my computer successfully connecting to the email server and all my pending emails being "fetched," *but when the fetching is complete, they have not appeared in my Inbox!* I don't get an error message or anything like that -- everything seems to be working exactly as it is supposed to be. The only problem is that the emails simply don't get downloaded to my computer, even though the Activity monitor seems to show them doing so.
I finally was able to open the "Mail" program's "Account info" window (it's not easy to find!), and it reveals that the same 15 pending emails are still awaiting me on my ISP's mail server, even after repeated fetchings of them. While watching both the "Account info" window and "Activity" window, I once again click "Get All New Mail," watch the 15 emails seemingly getting fetched, but when it's all over (3 seconds) -- they're still on the server and still not on my hard drive.
I don't know how to fix this glitch because the program doesn't seem to think anything's going wrong!
Obviously I must have mistakenly clicked some setting that prevents the emails from being downloaded to my computer, but I've scanned the Preferences pane and every single menu option dozens of times, and can't find what I've done wrong.
Any suggestions? i came so close to making the migration without any major problems, and on the very last step something went awry. Very frustrating!

    As to "Rules":
I'd already investigated that many times. The only "Rule" was a disabled unchecked rule about "Get Apple News," a subscription to the Apple RSS feed. However, at your suggestion, I also just now deleted it, and then refetched the mail afterward, with the the exact same unchanged result -- still nothing arrives. (Tried several times.)
As for the "Junk" mail setting:
The only two boxes checked were "Enable Junk Mail filtering," and "When junk mail arrives, mark it as junk mail, but leave it in my Inbox." So, even if the incoming mail had been marked as junk, I still should have seen it in my Inbox. Also, Junk's "Advanced" box is greyed out and unavailable to click. All that is moot, however, because I just now unchecked "Enable Junk Mail filtering," so the entire Junk preference pane is now greyed out and disabled; and even after that, when I check for new mail, I get the exact same problem as before, unchanged.
    As to "POP" vs. "IMAP":
My account is supposed to be a "POP" account, and it is indeed shown as being a "POP" account in the Accounts preference pane.
But here's a new observation I just made:
When checking mail, in the left-hand sidebar on my "Inbox" window, at the bottom is a section called "MAIL ACTIVITY." When I check for new mail, in this activity box it says "Incoming messages, 1 of 24" then "Incoming messages 2 of 24" all the way up to "Incoming messages 24 of 24," with a blue progress bar filling up below it -- +exactly as you would expect if the mail was successfully being fetched+ (it's up to 24 messages on the server now). Yet after all that, after all 24 are shown as being fetched -- *there is still NOTHING new in my !nbox*! (Or in any other mailbox.) And in the previously mentioned "Account Info" window, afterwards all the emails are still shown as awaiting me unfetched on the server.
So mysterious and frustrating! Every setting and activity seems to be exactly as it should be, with the sole problem that nothing ever actually shows up! The answer is probably so simple, I can't see it.

  • Some emails don't appear in the folder list, I can only find them by using Search Messages

As of yesterday, new emails from one regular correspondent do not appear in the list of messages when I click on Inbox. The only way I can access them is to use "Edit/Find/Search Messages". They are still in Inbox, they haven't been moved to another folder.
    Thunderbird version is 31.6.0.

None of these apply, the messages have been received, I can find them using Search Messages but they do not appear in the folder contents.

  • Emojis don't appear on phone

I can send emojis to people and they can see them just fine but when they send them to me, they show up as ?=?. Anyone know a solution?

have you tried reseting your iphone?

  • HT4859 My emails no longer appear on my computer but only on my iPad and iPhone. How do I get my emails to also appear on my computer?

Hello I have a problem - I live in France so this might be something to do with my service provider (orange).  But I can't work out how to continue to get my emails on my mac mail application on my computer when I have icloud switched on on my iphone and ipad.  I receive my emails on both iphone and ipad but not on my computer.  It's as if my computer has become a slave to my ipad.
I can disable the icloud service for mail on my iphone but then I can't send emails from my second account from my iphone (I have both a .mac account and another account).  When icloud is switched on and when I'm using the g3 on my iphone,  when I receive an email on my orange account all I have to do is change the address from which I am sending an email in the "from" line from my iphone and I can reply from my phone.
However if I switch off icloud on my iphone I can indeed reply from my .mac address but not from my other address - ie the drop down menu doesn't appear which means I have to copy out the original email if I wan to reply in detail.
But if I keep icloud switched on I no longer get my emails on my computer - only on the server. I think there ought to be something I can switch over on icloud but I don't know what.
    Any ideas?

I would understand it if you checked email on your Mac, and then those messages were not available on your iOS devices if you had the advanced account setting "remove copy from server after retrieving message:" set to immediately.
I looked through my iPhone settings and don't even see an option to tell my phone to pull the only copy of a message and delete it from the server.
Possibly there is another setting in Lion (I am running Snow Leopard still) that tells your Mac to only synchronize mail to your iOs devices and is not pulling mail directly from iCloud.
You could try disabling your current iCloud email account in Mac Mail, and adding a new one and just telling Mail it is a standard IMAP account (imap.mail.me.com incoming and smtp.mail.me.com outgoing).
I did that for Leopard to get my email even to work after MobileMe is cancelled and it seems to work fine with my iPhone.
If that doesn't work, you can delete that new email account and re-enable the temporarily disabled iCloud email account from above.
    Hope this helps.

  • Overnight, text body of emails will not display for messages in inbox-only the from and to and a subject line displays. Draft messages in Ipad display fully. Inbox emials display fully on my main  Dell computer and my Iphone. Any ideas?  Duanekot

Overnight, the taxt body of emails will not display for all messages in the inbox.  Only the From and To and a subject line display.  All messages in my Draft Mailbox display fully. Also, all emails in my Dell laptop and my Iphone display fully.  Any ideas?? Duanekot

See if this helps .... Reset the iPad.
Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider bar - let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up. Then check your emails.

  • Attachments don't appear in web mail

Word documents or PDF files sent to me by email don't appear - are not visible - when I access my web mail using Firefox 4.0b1. However, the message size indicates that the attachment is there somewhere; e.g., a short message has a size of > 100 mb.

  • How do i create email folders on my i phone 4s

how do i create email folders on my i phone 4s

You can only have email folders on the iPhone if you have an IMAP or MS Exchange account. If you do have one of these account types the folders will be created automatically.

  • HT1430 Emails download to phone, but don't appear in Inbox

I noticed yesterday that my iPhone 5 would appear to download about 45 messages from my Comcast email account, but the new emails wouldn't appear in my inbox.  Apple's website support suggested turning of my phone and then restarting it (didn't work) and then deleting and readding my email account (also didn't work). After that last step, it did download messages, but they were all from a month ago or older.
My internet connection is fine, my Comcast account shows all emails properly when I check there.  I'm stumped!

I assume you are using a Gmail account. "Important" folder in Gmail is a relatively recent addition to Gmail. It's basically a special label that Gmail applies automatically to help you figure out which of the messages in your bulging Inbox are most deserving
of your attention. If this is the case, then you should select not have Importance Markers for Gmail.
You should first exist Outlook and login Gmail web-mail. Then select the gear, then 'Settings' and in the 'Inbox' section select to not have Importance Markers and save changes. All messages that have been previously marked with that label will continue
to display that label unless you remove it.  The system label to the side of the Gmail Inbox, 'Important' will show those messages that have been assigned that label.  You can hide that by selecting the gear, then 'Settings' and in the 'Labels' section,
choose not to show the Important label.
If I misunderstood you, please provide more details.

  • Emails from one account don't appear in the Inbox of Mail since upgrading to Mountain Lion

I have a couple of email accounts - one is Gmail and one is a domain for my business. Previously Mail would show the Inbox and then a subfolder for each account under Inbox. Any messages received in the accounts would appear in both their own subfolder and also the Inbox. All my rules worked properly and life was good. Now, try as I might I cannot get my domain email account messages to show in the global/unified Inbox.
Originally the domain email folder was totally separate to the Inbox. By changing the IMAP Prefix (removing 'Inbox') I was able to get the folder at least under Inbox.
I purchased a new iMac and used Migration Assistant to move everything, therefore the problem persists. I had additional problems that my address book, rules and On My Mac folders didn't appear - but I solved that by finding the Containers folder and it is like a duplicate of Mail. I moved things from there to the Library/Mail and those particular issues resolved. But for the inbox issue, I have removed data from the Users/Library/Mail and from Library/Containers and started afresh - even deleted the Mail App and reinstalled from my original disc, but as soon as I set up the account it happens again.
Recently I have also started receiving errors when sending to use the Connection Doctor. I don't know if all this is related to a bug in Mountain Lion, the way I have things set up, or my domain/ISP.
Any suggestions on what to try, what it may be or ways around it would be great. I do have a Smart Mailbox for a Total Inbox, but of course the Rules don't work automatically on it. I'm getting sick of running Rules manually. Help please!!

I called the support service and she told me to delete my email address and re-enter it. I have no problem since then on receiving and sending emails.

  • Email messages don't appear in the inbox

    Hello,
This morning, I sent 2 messages from my tablet and they didn't appear in the message inbox after I sent them.

I checked my emal account in my laptop, and the 2 messages did get sent  and  appears  in the Sent Inbox(in my laptop email account).
Thank you for any tips you have to offer.   I'll check in my tablet later on to see if the problem  got worked out.
    Solved!

  • I have a  macbook, an ipad, and an iphone with the Mail app on all three synced through icloud, but when I read and delete emails on my phone, the inbox on my ipad is not update, so I have to go through and mark as read or delete messages again. How can I

I have a  macbook, an ipad, and an iphone with the Mail app on all three synced through icloud, but when I read and delete emails on my phone, the inbox on my ipad is not update, so I have to go through and mark as read or delete messages again. How can I sync my iphone and ipad? (it seems like each is synced only to my laptop, so don't synchronize until I go home and use my laptop.

POP: yahoo, aol, comcast/time warnder/road runner
Imap: google, hotmail, and more including icloud.
If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically  Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.
To find out more about what happens to you, search on Google "difference between pop and imap"

  • Help -- Email no longer appears in Gmail inbox

As of yesterday, messages no longer appear in my Gmail inbox on my HTC Incredible 2.  I can access new messages at gmail.com and using outlook on my home PC.  When I send myself a message, the phone buzzes and says I have new mail, but nothing appears in the inbox.  I can see sent mail (including the messages I sent to myself that do not appear in the inbox).  It's a 2-week old phone and I use few apps, so I have definitely not reached memory capacity.  Any suggestions?

    Hello Hanaueri.
Oh No! You should be able to see incoming email in your Gmail application. Let's get this fixed right away.
How many Gmail accounts do you have set up on the device? Did this start after a particular application was downloaded? It may be a third party application causing the error. Please power on in safe mode and retest. Here's the link to power on in safe mode:
    http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=42081&sayt=safe mode incredible 2*
Are you able to receive the messages in safe mode?
It also could be an issue with Outlook on your PC taking the messages. Please ensure that a copy of the message is being left on the server.
