Emails from outlook that uses "Delay Send" doesn't get deliver 30 minutes later

Hi,
I have an Exchange 2010 and office 2010 environment, and I setup a new rule to delay the send mail for 1 minute.
File > Manage Rules & Alerts >
- apply this rule after i send the messages
- on this computer only
-  defer delivery by 1 minute
The email seems to be held in Outbox for 1 minute, and then it gets moved to Sent Items.  However, I don't get the email for 30 minutes (i sent to myself for test).  I have tried change from Cache Exchange mode > Online mode.   (online
mode wouldn't even send out, mail just stays in outbox)  Tried manipulating the "Send/Receive Group" options to shorter period (default is 30 mins) but no avail. 
Does anyone has this issue as well?  If i disable the rule, then email gets delivery instantly as normal.  Could something on the exchange causing this?   Any help is appreciated.  thank you!

Hi WingKChan,
Please use OWA to do a test to verify whether the delay issue remains.
If the delay issue doesn’t occur in OWA, it seems an issue on the Outlook client side.
1. Please run Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs and add-ins.
2. Please re-create profile to refresh the caches.
3. Please run following switch command on Outlook to refresh the rule caches:
/cleanclientrules
/cleanrules
/cleanserverrules
4. Please use MFCMapi tool to delete the rule and re-create the rule for testing.
If the delay issue occur in OWA either, it seems an issue on the Exchange server side or connectivity between server and client.
1. Please send to your colleague a test email for testing.
2. According to the description, I found the test email held in Outbox for 1 minute, then moved to Sent Items folder. It seems the test email send successfully, but the email stuck in queue.
3. I suggest using Messaging Tracking to track the test email and pasting the detailed error message without sensitive information if there is any abnormal.

    Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    It might not actually be a cookie problem...since I don't access OWA in the way you want (I do integrate it via BIS...very slick!), I can only guess.
    From within the Browser, click the BBKey and select Options. Inside of there are a ton of different options, including one that lets your BB browser identify to a website as IE, FF, or BB...the default being, of course, BB. If you change that to IE, you might have more luck. That setting is in the Browser Configuration screen and is usually called Browser Identification.
    There are also many other settings that may be helpful...basically you need to fiddle around with these until you find the combination that works right for your specific situation. But I'd try the Browser ID/Emulation first.

  • How many of you use CTRL + Enter to send email from Outlook

    It's a much faster option...and you don't have to grab that pesky mouse!

    I was working this morning and I asked my fiance if she used CTRL + Enter to send email from Outlook and she was not even aware that was an option. I have been using it for years and I wondered how many of you SpiceHeads use it as well?

    I recently upgraded from Office 2010 to 2013.  For several weeks everything ran smoothly but a few days ago I noticed that my Verizon POP3 account was unable to send mail - items just sit in outbox.  I have deleted/added the account and the profile
    multiple times, this will solve the problem for a few days but then it returns again.  I discovered that if I run Outlook as an administrator the mail will send without a problem.  I have checked permissions on the pst file and do not see any issues. 
    Sometimes but not always I receive a message on the POP3 send that there was no network connection check mode. The send test message in the account set up never has a problem - it's only the periodic Outlook sending and receiving when the problem occurs. 
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Since the problem could be be solved for a few days by deleting/re-adding the profile and the account, the problem may be related to the .pst file. When the problem comes back, run Scanpst.exe to repair the. pst file, will the problem be fixed again?

    We can also assume there are other programs that are interacting with the .pst file, reboot and disable the possible programs to test if this makes a difference.
    If you're disconnected, you'll also need to check the network cable, try restarting your computer, or contact your Internet Service Provider or your system administrator. This implies the issue may be related to the anti-virus program or the firewall settings,
    which may be scanning the outgoing emails from Outlook. We can disable them temporarily to send the emails again, check if this helps.

    I can't send email from Outlook 2007 through my WRT400N when Outlook displays the address with parentheses as in this example: Firstname Lastname ([email protected])
    I can send if the address is in this form: Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>
    I have tested with the ISP and nothing gets through the router when the problem occurs. When I bypass the router, both forms of address will send correctly. This problem is perfectly reproducible. My router is brand new, but the problem did not show up for about a week after installation. OS is Win7. Any ideas? Thanks.

    when any user sends a message using contact us page in SharePoint online.
    1. We are inserting item in Contact Us List . - This is working fine
    for anonymous users also. We have used Office365 anonymous codeplex wsp and it is working fine. Anonymous user is able to insert new record in the Contact Us List.
    2. Once, new record is inserted in Contact Us list, we want to fire email notifying thanks to the user on his email id as well as to our company x person for notification of new inquiry. 
    We tried using Workflow having impersonation step for  anonymous user but it is not working for Anonymous users. Workflow is able to sent the email if someone logged into system but not working for Anonymous user although workflow is getting started
    but not able to send email although used Imperonsation step.
    We are stuck into implementing second step.

    Yes off course it is possible.
    Generally how we put the CC to our ionternal users like you have to put their email address while sending mail through SAP viq outlook.
    The mail will go from SAP but via. outlook and user will receive the mail in Outlook Integration and not inside B1.......
    If you want it in B1 then instead of sending mail you can send the same by choosing option Int......

I have been quite happily sending emails from outlook to both other btinternet email addresses and a variety of non bt emails. all of a sudden on Thursday, they stopped being received by the recipient. The send/receive process seems to work (visually) and the logs and outbox show they have been sent - but nothing is received at the other end.
    I have not touched any settings etc, so what could be the problem?
    Looking to find out if there is anything I can do at my end or whether BT needs informing (though I cannot see who to contact).

  • I receive an email from Outlook with attachments but when I forward it the attachments are lost.

    One particular person sends attachments which I can open fine but I can't forward them unless I store them and re-attach. The attachments have "size unknown" label in the email.
    A friend of mine who get the same emails from the same sender doesn't get the attachments at all. Her ISP gives "images blocked for your protection".
    Can the sender do anything to fix this? All other mail and attachment work fine.

    RTF = Microsoft proprietary and has no place in email. Email is HTML and Text.
    Contact the sender and ask them to disable any RTF in their mail and point them to this http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/recipients-receive-a-winmail-dat-attachment-HA010153018.aspx..
    The best solution is don't use Outlook.

    The workaround is to use Cached Exchange Mode or "Shift + Delete", as the user doesn't want to delete the message permanently, using Cached Exchange Mode is preferred.
    Based on my research, this issue is more Exchange 2010 related, and you mentioned the user also got the error from Outlook Web Access. This issue occurs after Exchange 2010 Service Pack 2 RU6 or Exchange 2010 Service Pack 3 is installed.
    To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
    2803727 Description of Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3

    I am trying to move years worth of emails from Outlook on a PC to a new MacBook Air. The database of emails is about 5GBs. I can find different settings to export the emails in PC formats, but not a single one listed in the Lion version of Mail. It can import from Mac Mail, Thunderbird and Entourage, but not Outlook. Is there a way to export the files and import them on to the Mac that anyone has had success with?

    I believe that the best option for getting your email into the Mail program will be by exporting your email from Outlook as an .mbox format, and then importing that into mail. An article about completing this procedure can be found right here:
