Emails with no body

Hello guys!, im having some trouble with the email sent from IDM, they dont have body, just all the header.
Any ideas?

Does your email template has body tag, if so you need to make sure you are filling the body section in your workflow.

  • Sending emails with both body and attachment to multiple recipients

I have a requirement to send email with body and attachment to multiple recipients.
Body of the email is a standard text. It is a proxy-to-mail scenario.
Here is what I've done: (I'm using PI 7.11)
One mapping from Source to Target structure (format of the attachment text file)
Second mapping from Target Structure to Mail Package format.
In the second mapping I'm concatenating the output of first step into "Content" of the Mail Package.
"XIPAYLOAD" is the message protocol used.
The "Keep attachments" option in the Mail adapter allows only to send "Content" as attachment or as body of the email.
How to send an email with both content and text?
The other problem is even with using ASMA, I can't send email to multiple recipients. I can only do CC and TO for 1 person each - a total of 2. Although I can resolve this by creating mailing lists, it is better if this can be addressed in PI.
Thanks for any input you can provide!

Thank you for your response Mikael.
For the first question, I was able to find the solution in the following blog:
XI Mail Adapter : Dynamically building attachment and message body content using a simple UDF
(I just needed to search with the right set of key words )
The key is to set the "Content Encoding" as "None" in the mail adapter. If this is not done, the mail will be sent with an attachment - untitled.bin containing both the mail body and the attachment text. Also, don't forget to check the "Keep Attachments" checkbox in the mail adapter.
Multiple recipients could be added by separating the email IDs with a Comma. I have used ASMA to set the recipients.

  • Cannot Delete or Move Emails from Printers - Error from emails with no body?

Exchange 2010 SP2 (one mailserver for domain)
    Outlook 2010
    Outlook 2013
    OWA
    EAS
We have several Konica-Minolta MFPs on our network. Users regularly use the e-mail function to receive PDF scans.  These e-mails cannot be deleted in Outlook, OWA, or EAS.
I have tested this on multiple users, including myself.  The e-mails and attachments can be any size, starting at 50kb.  Other e-mails with PDF attachments behave normally--just not these.
In Outlook 2010 I receive "The item cannot be deleted. It was either moved or already deleted, or access was denied."  I have verified with a MAPI viewer that these e-mails are sitting in the user's Inbox.
OWA gives the same error message as Outlook 2010.
In Outlook 2013 I receive a similar error, and an Event Log notice:
    Event 300
    Microsoft Outlook Unknown Error
    P1: 300032
    P2: 15.0.4420.1017
    P3: ajr8vP4: 0x80040119
    Source: Microsoft Office 15 Alerts
These e-mails cannot be deleted. They cannot be moved to another folder.
They can be Shift+Deleted.  They can be deleted via the MAPI viewer.  They can be opened, edited (Move > Actions > Edit Message) and if even one character is added to the body, after being saved they can be deleted as normal.
I have read many posts on TechNet and elsewhere:
A repair on the mailboxes does nothing. There are no PSTs.  This happens to even an empty mailbox, so size is not an issue. There are no host headers set in the bindings.  The IIS SSL Settings are ignoring Client Certificates. I have tested in Outlook
Safe Mode and without plugins. It is not Antivirus.
I have not reset the Virtual Directory, nor have I tested with a new Database.
I did find a solution: in all of the Konica-Minolta configurations, there was nothing set for a message body.  I think (but I am not sure) these e-mails were being sent without a body.
After I added text for the body, the emails behaved normally.
Is this an Exchange bug?  Is there something I can do to narrow the issue down, or adjust an Exchange setting so it doesn't happen again?
    Thanks all!

Thank you for your reply, Fiona!
As I stated, I have examined the messages with a MAPI viewer. I did not notice any attributes that seemed out of order, except for the fact that the problem e-mails seem to lack a body:
    Tag
    Property Name
    Konica: CAN'T Delete
    Konica: CAN Delete
    Normal Message
    0x1000000A
    PR_BODY
    Scan from Konica-BW
    Err:Not Enough Memory
    0x1013000A
    PR_BODY_HTML
    Err:Not Enough Memory
    0x10160003
    PR_NATIVE_BODY_INFO
    0 (Undefined)
    1 (Plaintext)
    3 (HTML)
    0x1009000A
    PR_RTF_COMPRESSED
    Err:Not Enough Memory
    Err:Not Enough Memory
    0x0E1F000B
    PR_RTF_IN_SYNC
    TRUE
    TRUE
    FALSE
I've compared the three e-mails. The "Konica: CAN Delete" is one from after I changed the Konica settings to include a message body (which was "Scan from Konica-BW").
My next planned steps are to speak to Konica, roll back RU6 and test, or just wait to see if MS releases a patch for the RU6 issue and see if it resolves my issue as well.
If you have any further suggestions of things to look for, I am all ears. :)
    Thanks again!

    Hi bshannon ,
Thanks you very much for your reply.
I am trying to send html formated mail to the user.
The message body contains the table that is displayed in above jsp page as:
    <table border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="3" bgcolor="#E6E6FA" align="center"><tr><th>Questions</th><th>A</th><th>B</th><th>C</th><th>D</th></tr>
    <tr><td><%=rs.getString("Qserialno") + "." + rs.getString("questionname")%></td>
<td><%=noA%></td><td><%=noB%></td><td><%=noC%></td><td><%=noD%></td></tr>In above code I am displaying the data from table i jsp page in table format. The data is related to analysis of particular event and i am trying to send this data as message body of the email.
As table displayed in html form can you assist me in how to send html data?
I am using variable message to store all this table data .
    <%  message="<table border=1 cellpadding=2 cellspacing=3 bgcolor=#E6E6FA align=center><tr><th>Questions</th><th>A</th><th>B</th><th>C</th><th>D</th></tr>";%>
    message=message+"<tr><td>"+rs.getString("Qserialno") + "." + rs.getString("questionname")+"</td>";
message=message+"<td>"+noA+"</td><td>"+noB+"</td><td>"+noC+"</td><td>"+noD+"</td></tr></table>";i am sending this variable through form.At servlet I am retrieving it like:
    String s1 = request.getParameter("to");
               String s2 = request.getParameter("from");
               //String s3 = request.getParameter("sub");
               *String s4 = request.getParameter("message");*Will this possible ?
Please help meas i am troubling same with last from 7-8 days.
I had gone through Faqs but unable to collect required information.

  • Intermittent emails with blank body for single user

    Good morning!
I have a client running Exchange 2010 on a SBS 2011 server.  There is a single user who will intermittently receive emails in which the body is blank.  The affected emails behave this way in both Outlook and in OWA.  I know the content is
actually there because if there are multiple threads in the conversation in which an email is sent and then the user replies (this happened with a test email I sent him and then called about because the body was blank when i sent it to him) I can see the body
in the single line preview until that particular message is expanded.  Additionally, it seems that if he continues to email back in forth in the same conversation thread, the missing content will appear once he's received an inbound message where the
    content displays properly.
To our knowledge this only happens with inbound mail.  It happens with multiple senders, there doesn't appear to be just a single source so I haven't set up pipeline tracing since there is not a consistent problem with any one sender. Some messages
will come in fine and others will have a blank body.
Any advice you have would be much appreciated.

I turned up Pipeline tracing on my email address for this user as this is the one address I can control.  For all of the emails that turned up with blank bodies in Outlook and OWA I can see the body of hte message in all of the Messaging Snapshots
    created by Exchange.

  • Sending outbound email with paragraphs 255 characters

    G'day all,
My problem at the moment is getting an outbound email with a body that includes continuous paragraphs greater than 255 characters. I want to be able to send an email where there is no emposed limit on a continuous paragraph.
Please note I am not interested in attachements with lengths greater than 255, it's the email body that concerns me. Simple email text ******
I've been working with inbound and outbound mails and making heavy use of Thomas Jung's blogs on the same -- Thanks so much to Thomas for these really helpful blogs, and all his posts!! --
    /people/thomas.jung3/blog/2004/09/08/sending-e-mail-from-abap--version-610-and-higher--bcs-interface
    /people/thomas.jung3/blog/2004/09/09/receiving-e-mail-and-processing-it-with-abap--version-610-and-higher
On this basis I'm creating a document using class CL_DOCUMENT_BCS and passing it a table based on SOLI_TAB in which includes the email body with CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF where required between paragraphs. I've been trying to use type 'RAW' as I want to keep the mails as low-tech as possible (no idea what email clients the recipients will be running).
I then pass the document to an instance of CL_SEND_REQUEST_BCS (via SETU_DOCUMENT) to send.
When the email is sent it includes an unwanted line break every 255 characters so it's not possible to have a continuous paragraph longer than 255 (the length of SOLI-LINE).
I did find a post from Thomas Jung stating that SOLI didn't impose a line break for each line (I can't find it again now due to SDN's poor search performance) but I believe this may have only been for attachments and not the mail body.
If HTM type is the only solution, I'm interested to hear about it, but I'd also like advice on how to best generate the correct HTML tags. I can include <BR> instead of CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF but I'm not sure if this will be acceptable to all mail clients.
Many thanks (and points) for any help!
    Mark

  • How to submit an email with a header/footer in the body of the email?

I'm trying to submit an email with a PDF attachment but needs to have a static header and footer in the the body of the email before sending it.  How would this be done and is it possible to do this? I'm new at this and not sure how to even start this.  Any help with this is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

You can put info into the body of the email but you are limited on formatting it. Here is a post from Stefan Cameron with sample that I think will really help you.

  • When i send an email with greek characters in the body, the recipient receive it in an unreadable form.

When i send an email with greek characters in the body, many recipients (not all) cannot read it.
At the same time when i use the internet mail it can be read successfully by the recipient.
I have already checked the encoding settings in the Fonts in order to be "unicode (UTF-8)".
    What else can i check?
    Thanks in advance.

There are some language add ons that support emails from other languages that you can check out: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/extensions/language-support/?sort=popular]
The recipient, if they also use thunderbird may need to have a language pack to read the email: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/language-tools/]
You may also need to have them check their interpreter to make sure the email is being received in the same format it is being sent.

  • Using ui5 to send an email with a link in the body of the email

From my ui5 I hit a button and can successfully open outlook and send an email using the code below.
    location.href = 'mailto:?subject=' +  subj + '&body=' + body;
If the body of the email is plain text all is well. My problem is that I want to include a link in the body of the email. I have tried using
<a href = "http:mystuff here" >Click here to open the form</a> in the body but it comes literally with the <a href... in the body.
Is it possible to place a link into the body of the email and if so how?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Email with HTML in body

    Hi.
I'm look for a way to send an Email with an HTML not as an attachment (this I know how to do) but in the email body.
The reason is that sometimes we want to allow the user to see the data without having to open their HTML browser.
I've searched this forum and other and couldn't find anything relevant.
By the way I'm on 4.6c.
    thanx in advance.
    ayal.

    Dear Vijay.
I've tried it before I posted this message and also now I copied Rich's code to make sure I haven't left anything.
I get the Email allright, but instead of seing an HTML I see the HTML code itself in the body.
Do I need to do some system configuration like the conversion we do for CSV attachments?
    thanx
    ayal.

  • FILE- EMAIL with pdf as an attachment and message body.

I have a scenario where FILE to EMAIL with PDF as an attachment; I also need to send to have Email body with some text. For this i have tried using Mail Package then i wont be receiving any attachment. If I use both Mail package + Keep attachments i do not see any attachments in mail.
Let me know  the possible ways that can used in the current scenario where i need to send pdf attachment along with messsage body.
    Thanks in advance,
    nik

    Hi Nik
To get the customized email body you need to use the Mail package. Keep attachments tab should be selected
Now sending PDF attachment - Do you need to send data passed by File adapter as pdf attachment or File adapter is reading message other than this attachment.
Case 1. File adapter send message that you need to send as email attachment. Then using mail package use
    <content_type>application/pdf</content_type>
you can even add name of the file going as an attachment.
    <content_type>application/pdf;name="filename.pdf"</content_type>
Secondly you can use the MessageTransformBean at communication channel as an additional standard module.
Case2: You need to pick file from file adapter as attachment. that is possible only when you use NFS with this file you read as source and attachment has be of same name type eg: you read input.txt then attachment has to be input.pdf
    Thanks

This is commonly seen with an Outlook add-in, such as the AVG add-in. I just ran into it again today. I removed AVG and enabled Windows Defender on a Win8 laptop with Outlook 2013, and that took care of the issue. If you must use AVG, you can disable the
add-in and then test new emails.
To disable the AVG add-in, this is one method:
Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry.
          (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/            )
    in case problems occur.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps to disable the Avgoutlook.Addin add-in. If the problem is , we recommend that you contact the vendor of the add-in to ask about an updated version of the add-in.
Exit Microsoft Outlook if it is running.
    Start Registry Editor.
    In Windows 8
Press the Windows logo key+R, type regedit in the Open box, and then press Enter.
In Windows 7, 8 or Windows Vista
Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
Locate and then select the following registry subkey, depending on the type of Office and Windows installations that you have.
    32-bit Office plus 32-bit Windows
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\avgoutlook.Addin
    64-bit Office plus 64-bit Windows
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\avgoutlook.Addin
    32-bit Office plus 64-bit Windows
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\avgoutlook.Addin
Right-click the LoadBehavior value, and then click Modify.
Change the Value Data value to 0, and then click
    OK.
    Start Microsoft Outlook.
Note To re-enable this add-in in Outlook, change the LoadBehavior value to
    3.

  • Certain emails showing with no body content

    Hello,
I have an odd issue with (IMAP) mail on both the iPhone and iPad. Since moving to a new web host (Fasthosts), email coming in from certain places - currently Flickr, Amazon and Groupon - have no body content; in the list of messages, the sender and subject are displayed, followed by 'This message has no content'. The messages appear properly using the host's web-based mail client (OWA 2007) and Mac mail.
I've been in a lengthy (and mostly frustrating) support call with Fasthosts, who are adamant it's not them, despite the fact the issue only started when I set up the account with them. They say it must be the iPhone at fault. All I can find on the web is reference to the other issue where spurious email is shown with now sender or subject, which despite being similar, is not the problem I have.
If anyone can shed some light on this, I'd be grateful, as it's annoying the **** out of me!
    David

Does your email template has body tag, if so you need to make sure you are filling the body section in your workflow.
