Embed an Exported Muse Page Using "Insert HTML"?

Hello All,
I'd like to export a Muse page to HTML, then embed that entire page into another Muse page using Insert HTML. I've done some experimenting and haven't yet gotten it to work.
I'm familiar with embedding html in Muse, including the linking of external css stylesheets and js libraries, and I'm also reasonably skilled in post-editing my Muse pages in Dreamweaver. But this has me stumped.
Anyone have any experience to share? Thanks!
bart

Hi Bart,
I am not sure why you want to first export the page and then embed it as HTML in another Muse page. However, you can copy all the content from a page and use the "paste in place" option from Edit menu and all the content will be placed as it is on the source page.

Aish

  • I am trying to make a form on a muse page by inserting HTML code.  the field gets entered, but there is no box drawn around the user input area.

    Here is a small sample of the code , the <fieldset> does not draw a box around the selected group either.
      <form method="post" action="report.php">
        <fieldset>                                                                                    <!-- draws a box around a group -->
          <legend>
            <b>Tell us a little about yourself</b>
          </legend>
            <br />
            <label for="firstname">First name:</label>
            <input type="text" id="firstname" name="firstname" required="required" /><br />          <!-- field is required -->
            <br />
            <label for="lastname">Last name:</label>
            <input type="text" id="lastname" name="lastname" required="required" /><br />
            <br />
            <label for="email">What is your email address?</label>
            <input type="email" id="email" name="email" required="required" /><br />
            <br />
        </fieldset>

    Hi Peter,
    In the latest release of Muse the option of recaptcha was added to both Bc and non Bc hosted site. Please check the link below to know more on this.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/muse/using/form-widgets.html#Preventing spam using Google reCAPTCHA
    I am afraid that this is not possible in Muse, to generate captcha for a site that is not hosted via Bc, at this stage, I will recommend that you post this on our ideas section over here, https://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas, and let our devs team know of this requirement.
    In the meantime, you will need to insert the captcha code manually on the Muse form once after you have exported the html of the site and this is something that you will need to every time the code is generated because Muse will overwrite the changes that you have made.

  • Muse cc, object insert html problem

    Select object > insert html, paste the code and I get a box with an 'x' in the upper left hand corner.  This was working fine a couple of days ago, what went wrong??

    Please try to preview in browser and then check.
    Thanks,

  • Is it possible to make an iframe full size to the browser inside muse , if using insert htm

    using iframe code , it is coming in a small box want to use it to full browser

    Hi,
    You can use :
    <iframe src="enter page link here" style="position:fixed; top:0px; left:0px; bottom:0px; right:0px; width:100%; height:100%; border:none; margin:0; padding:0; overflow:hidden; z-index:999999;">
      Your browser doesn't support IFrames
    </iframe>`
    Enjoy working with MUSE !
    Thanks

  • Problems validating GL CS pages using W3C HTML Validator

    I've tried validating a number of pages and they come up with approx. 30 errors and I think all of them are coming from the disjointed rollovers in the navigation. How do I get the page/pages to validate. Any help would be great.

    Thanks Janet,
    The site is not uploaded yet. I apologize for the large amount of code. I thought it could be inserted in a code window, such as other forums. Here is the code: HTML: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

  • Error in DW5 on Using Insert-HTML-Special Characters-

    I'm getting an error which stops the process and reads:
    The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Unable to open the script file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\Objects\characters\jrtextformat.js" (error2).
    How do I fix this? Thanks.
    I'm using a 64-bit windows 7 system, DW version 11 build 4993. If I need to just replace the js file, where do I get it?
    Jeff

    Hi, already did and they don't work. I have a big project coming up,
    will probably uninstall after I finish. Thank you.
    Question: exactly which version of Java should I be using? This is a
    64-bit system.

  • How can I add web counter into my Muse page?

    Normally with Dreamweaver I added the right code right before the end of body tag. How can I solve this problem with Muse?

    Hi,
    If you have the code for the web counter, you can add it to your Muse site using Insert HTML feature.

  • Has anyone gotten "Insert HTML" java applet snippet code to work in Adobe Muse?

    I am trying to insert some code into a page created with Adobe Muse. The insert HTML code snippet, i'm trying to insert is a java.jar file that plays a virtual tour file for the inside of a home. After inserting and then publishing to Catalyst, when viewed in IE, I get a blank box where the applet is suppose to be and it says error.
    Has anyone done something similar and been successful in the past?

    I didn't seem to get any answers, but I think I figured out the problem. Business Catalyst does not support setting file permissions on .jar files (Java Applets) and potentially other kinds of files that I needed to get loaded so that's why I got a generic error.
    The code snippet, I used, worked when I uploaded the site to another hoster that supports distributing .jar files.

  • Inserting HTML removes nav widget

    Hi there
    I'm using Muse to build a photography portfolio site, my portfolios are hosted through viewbook - I can embed the slideshows using HTML embed code.
    However when I insert HTML it removes the nav bar widget from the top of the page, the two items are n't even near each other. The gallery looks great on preview but the nav bar just vanishes.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance
    SteveG

    Ok i seem to have fixed it (am unsure how) I think it was to do with the embed size width wise, and turning off frame margin in the viewbook end of the code.

  • Can Adobe Muse be used to create database driven websites?

    Can Adobe Muse be used to create database driven websites, or is it only through "replace image through browse from your computer".

    Hi Edgard,
    I am afraid that this is not possible in Muse at this stage, I will recommend that you post this on our ideas section over here, Ideas for features in Adobe Muse, and let our devs team know of this requirement.
    In muse you can only design static content. For any dynamic content that you need to render via DB, you will need to write custom code and insert it in Muse via 'object -> insert html' option or 'properties -> metadata -> html for head' option.

  • Muse crashes / inserting HTML (embed YouTube code)

    Muse repeatedly crashes upon inserting HTML embded code on Home page. Why?

    Sorry but I don't write in English....io ho risolto il problema usando "https" quando inserisci il codice html in Muse del link del video di Youtube.
    Per esempio
    <iframe width="420" height="236" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DcTlvI_Is64?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
    diventa
    <iframe width="420" height="236" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DcTlvI_Is64?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
    Spero che ti sia di aiuto.
    Saluti.

    The HTML generated by Muse is pretty messy so you should be pretty fluent in HTML/CSS to hack it up in DW.
