Embedding issues in IE

I have a form embedded into a website and it has looked great for 6 months. Now all of the sudden in IE it is very fuzzy but in Google Chrome it still looks great. Any ideas?

This is a known issue. We are deploying a fix early next week. It should be fixed by Tuesday.

  • TNT488.2 embedded issues

    We are trying to use the NI-TNT488.2 GPIB chip in an embedded application.
    However, we are having problems with the chip locking up when the host PC
    (with clock speeds at 500+MHz) is pushing and pulling data to and from the
    target (embedded system) in a TALK / LISTEN scenario. The symptom is that
    the TNT488.2 stops presenting interrupts on "ADSC" status changes. We are
    doing programmed I/O on the embedded system with the chip configured in "One-Chip"
    mode. We have an event driven implementation scheme using a multitasking
    OS. That is, we do not have a dedicated micro servicing the TNT488.2. We
    have trapped a case where the chip stops presenting interrupt requests -
    the transition from "ADSC" - "NEUTRAL" to "LISTEN". When we run t
    he Spy utility
    on the host PC, we see either no data or one character transfered followed
    by a GPIB timeout on the host. Any time the chip (on the embedded system)
    fails to present the interrupt request to the microprocessor, the chip is
    locked up forever if there is no intervention by the microprocessor to reset
    the device. Since we have observed this failure condition, we now set a flag
    and a timer to check for the lock-up. If the lock-up has occurred we issue
    a "PON" to clear the lock-up. The downside to this approach is that it forces
    customers to run through error recovery proceedures in their host applicaitons
    a very high percentage of the time. Error recovery should be part of every
    solution, but not within every minute of operation.
    If anyone has had similar problems and has found the cause of this type of
    problem, we would like to hear from you.

    no, but have you tried clearing the history, cache, and cookies then resetting the touch? Reset the touch by holding the home button and the sleep button until you see a silver apple. Do nothing else but this then try the problems again.

  • Font embedding issue

      I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.
    The font "Helvetica" will not embed on a PDF document that I have using the "Embed all fonts" pre-flight.  The actual font is 'Arial MT' (which is in my font library) but even the ArialMT fonts here are embedding as type 2 CID fonts:
    Fonts prior to embedding:
    I use the "Embed fonts (even if text is invisible)" preflight, then the fonts look like this:
    I've looked up that "Helvetica" font for purchase and the closest I found was the "HelveticaLTStd-Roman" font (according to the Adobe font cross reference list) so I've purchased and installed the font but it still won't embed.
    Anyone know how can I get this font to embed? Do I need to purchase a different font (Helvetica-Medium)? Or is there something else going on?

    I'm experiencing a related font issue in Illustrator: I'm unable to embed fonts in a PDF using Illustrator CS5.5 (Mac OS X 10.7). An Illustrator message says that their is a licensing restriction that prevents embedding the fonts in the PDF. The original ttf and otf fonts were initially purchased for a Windows machine years ago, and many of them came with Illustrator. I've embedded fonts in a PDF using Illustrator (on the Windows side) without a problem for many years.
    Is this a font installation issue? Since the "installation" process is different for a mac, is it possible the fonts were not "activated" when they were copied to the library/fonts folder? The fonts do appear in the illustrator file, but not the PDF.
    Could this be a Distiller issue? Is Distiller involved when Illustrator saves to a PDF?

  • TLF text embedding issue in loaded slides

    I have an application that loads swf files. These swf files have embedded TLF fonts. There are several files that get loaded. When loading the first one, the font displays fine, but as soon as I load a second swf file, the font no longer embeds. Why could this be? I reversed the oder in which they get loaded and so I know that this is a question of order, not file.
    Thanks a lot for any help!

    Hello and welcome to the forum,
    I'm looking at your file, and it seemed to be linked with the fact that you have a scored Click box on slide 15. If you change it not to be calculated in the total score, all works well. It is linked to the Quiz scope that is for you between slide 15 and slide 16. With the failure action for the TEB's before those slides you try to jump into the Quiz scope, and this seems to be causing troubles because the Quiz Preferences are set to 'Answer all' (which is a very strict option). If you want to keep the score like it is now, when changing this to Optional (or one of the other options), everything works OK.

  • Flash Embedded Issue

    Hi, Ive created an html snippet and correctly got my flash menu swf file to load in on my website. The issue i have is that when i click on a link on my flash menu bar it frames the next page on top of the current flash instead of loading the new page. Any ideas. here is the code i am using I was thinking there is somewhere i can maybe put target=_self but ive tried and no luck
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" id="obj1" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/ flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" border="0" width="800" height="600"><param name="movie" value="http://web.mac.com/youriDisk/docs/flash.swf"><param name="quality" value="High"><embed src="http://web.mac.com/youridisk/docs/flash.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="obj1" width="800" height="600"></object>

    sorry, my bad, i was clicking on a button that was behind a layer in the template
    wish iweb would tell you where it's putting layers
    ok, but I have discovered this
    when you insert html snippets iweb insert what it calls a "widget"
    a widget is simply an html web page loaded in an iframe
    that's all they are
    so when you enter the html to embed a flash file, that html is NOT going into the page you're working on
    its going into a completely seperate html file which is stored in another folder on the server
    this page is loaded into the page you're working on via an iframe
    this causes a major problem if you don't have access to the flash file you're trying to embed
    unfortunately the only solution is to open up the original .fla flash file and change ALL of the actionscript on the buttons to target _top instead of _self (which is the default)
    so as far as I can see, you MUST edit the flash file to suit iWeb, you can't edit iWeb's html code to suit the flash file, at least not with iWeb itself
    AMMENDMENT --------
    come to think of it, i think you might be able to add a meta tag to the widget
    <base href="http://www.yourdomain.com/sitename" />
    I think the base makes all links in the document relative to that url
    i don't know if it works for http requests from flash files though, but its worth a try

  • Embedding issue

    Hello!
    I've found a free mp3 player on a site called Flabell. I customized the player successfully, it works great, except one thing: Usually, in IE browser, the whole swf won't appear at all. Sometimes it does, but I cannot figure out the reason why. Here is a test link: http://www.artistfactory.hu/player.html
    You can find the player download site here: http://flabell.com/flash/Flash-Mp3-Player-29
    Thank you for spending time on this issue,
    Adam

    it looks like you're mixing a version 1 swfobject with version a 2 swfobject.  i didn't check your swfobject.js file to see which you should be using but clearly one is wrong and needs to be fixed.  i would recommend use 2.2.

  • CSS style embedding issues

    Hi
    CSS in newsletters can be finicky.
    Don't worry about convention, embed a style sheet in the
    *BODY* of your
    page right under the opening body tag and put all your CSS in
    that, it
    will pick up fine then.

  • Video embedding issues

    Hello,
    I finally managed to embed 2 videos to my daughters site. The
    problem is that on IE it only shows 1, but both show on Firefox.
    I tried different computers just to make sure that is wasn't
    being selective. Here are the codes I used. The 1st one is the one
    that's not showing in IE.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    AC_AX_RunContent( 'width','301','height','250','src','

    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"
    width="301"
    height="250"></embed></object> </p></td>
    Click here for site

    The coding was wrong. I had one that was working. so I just
    copied the code and changed the value for the individual videos.
    Here is what it looks like:
    <p><object width="250" height="250">
    <param name="movie" value="
    http://www.youtube.com/v/*****VIDEO
    ID HERE***"></param><param name="wmode"
    value="transparent"></param><embed src="
    http://www.youtube.com/***VIDEO
    ID HERE***" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    wmode="transparent" width="250"
    height="250"></embed></object><br />
    All I do now is just change the Video ID when I want to
    change the video that shows. ( without the asterisk of
    course)

  • V10.1.5 upgrade - Adobe PDF printer issues - font embedding

    Hi,
    Accepted the 10.1.5 (Acrobat Standard) upgrade.  Have started having "Adobe PDF" printer failures with MS Outlook 2010: Font embedding issues.
    Is there a setting somewhere I need to tweak to tell it to substitute with another font when it runs into licensing issues?
    I've re-installed CutePDF as a workaround, but would prefer to use the Adobe printer.
    save-as-filename.log:
    "%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
    %%[ Error: LucidaSans cannot be embedded because of licensing restrictions. ]%%
    %%[ Font vendor (B&H) does not permit this font to be embedded in PDF. ]%%
    %%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: xshow ]%%
    Stack:
    500
    /l
    %%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
    %%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%"
    Regards,
    JD

    In the settings file you should be able to set to continue even if the embed fails. In that case, I think you will simply have the PDF without the one font being embedded. You can also set to never embed it in the settings file (if you can find it on your system).

    I am trying to print arabic characters in report output but junk characters are getting displayed in output.
    Using 10g report builder, added the arabic labels in report layout.
    Followed below steps:
    1. Set NLS_LANG=ARABIC_United Arab Emirates.AR8MSWIN1256
    2.Set REPORTS_PATH to the system font directoy such as C:\SYSROOT\Fonts
    3.transferred the arialbd.ttf to $ORACLE_HOME/guicommon/tk/admin/AFM
    4.Open uifont.ali under$ORACLE_HOME/guicommon/tk/admin, set the font alias

  • Flash CS6 - Font will not render as Classic Text, only as TLF

    I've been working on a series of Flash animations in which the main font used is Helvetica Neue, which is embedded using the Font Embedding... Menu. Everything was working just fine and then yesterday the font just stopped rendering. I've spent hours thinking that it was an embedding issue-that maybe somewhere the code had been overwritten. But then I opened a new Flash file (AS3) and noticed that I couldn't get a static textfield to display text in the Helvetica Neue font. So then I unintalled my Helvetica Neue fonts and reinstalled them. I cleared my Adobe Font caches and Windows (7) Font caches. I rebooted. Still just an empty text field. Then I tried something radical. I switched the textfield from Classic Text to TLF Text. Well it turns out that TLF textfields display the Helvetica Neue Font just fine.
    So what is the deal? In this particular project TLF Text won't work because I have to publish out to Flash Player 8 as part of the project's design requirements. How do I get Helvetica Neue to start working again in Classic Text mode?

    If you are on Windows, it could be related to a recent Windows update.  Seems to have started yesterday for a lot of people.   Check out this thread (or any of the other text related threads from yesterday).
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4916465
    The issue is related to the Windows Font Parsers.  Maybe TLF uses it's own.

    You should use SWFObject to embed your Flash. Not only does
    it make
    embedding more straightforward, it makes passing query

    You should use SWFObject to embed your Flash. Not only does
    it make
    embedding more straightforward, it makes passing query
    parameters very easy.

  • Re: Barcode in Reports 10g

    I know this is an old post,
    Barcode in Reports 10g
    but I am facing the same problem here. Using reports 11.1.2.1, running on a Linux server.
    I have set this on <domain>config/FRComponent/frcommon/guicommon/tk/admin/uifont.ali:
    XYZFONT = "XYZFONT.afm XYZFONT.pfa"
    But generated PDF reports are not embedding the fonts, since I need to have them installed on the computer to see the barcode. I understand the parameter PDFEMBED is set to true by default. But my reports are called from Oracle Forms. How can I be sure the parameter is correct? What else could I check?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    The steps related to PDF Subsetting and PDF embedding are "extra" steps that occur after the step "Report formatting ".
    In order to take into account the line :
    XYZFONT = "XYZFONT.afm XYZFONT.pfa"
    the font used during the step "Report formatting " must be XYZFONT .
    Did you test to generate the Report with DESFORMAT=HTML ?
    Check in the HTML output the font name used for the "Barcode Field".
    For more details , you can refer to the document :

    Kind regards
