Embedding JM Studio with a java applet

Hi all,
anybody have a idea on how to embed JM Studio
with a applet.and how it's controls are hiddened?
i need help on this regard.
Thanx,
thirupathi

Java applets can only access their host machine. If your database is located on a different server than the web server then you get these errors. To access a database located on a different machine you can use the so callled Applet - Servlet tunelling. You actually use a servelt as a proxy. The applet calls the servlet and the servlet accesses the database.
There is a lot of info on these issues in java.sun.com.
hope this helps!

    We are building a Flex 2.0 app which needs to talk to a Java

  • Issue with running Java applets on Safari 6.1

    I conducted a system capability check on the course site I access (Defense Acquisition University) and one of the results indicated that I do not have the capability to run applets (requirements to run all courses).  I verified my setings and I do have Java ver. 7 update 45 installed.  I verified Safari's security preferences and confirmed that the "Enable Java Script" is checked.  I tried configuring the website settings for Java plug-in but cannot figure out how to add url on the configured websites box.  Is there any way to enable running applets in Safari?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

    Please post a link to the page you're having trouble with (unless it requires a password.)

  • Database connection with a Java applet

    I am having trouble figuring out what I am doing wrong.
    I am able to connect to the remote database from inside JDeveloper 9.0.3 and execute some simple SQL statements.
    The problem is when I try to run this applet on a web page to test it I get some exceptions.
    with e.message()
    access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission oracle.jserver.version read)
    java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission oracle.jserver.version read)
    I know from within the IDE I assume the security settings are lax or non-exsistant.
    any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Martin

  • How do I send jsee for java 2 with the java applet

    Is there a way that the user downloads the jsee with the applet so even if they don't have the java plug in they get it so they can view my applet?

    that wouldn't be a good idea - the package size is hughe and i think it's better to tell a user that he needs j2ee 1.3.1 and where to get it than trying to start an automated download process....

    Read the java console... it will typically tell you what's wrong. If you don't understand what you see there, paste it here. If you don't know how to find the java console, search this forum.

  • Security Issues with Javascript, Java Applet interaction

    First the main idea of the project. I have a system where I need to use an applet to process an image and display it on a web page.
    I have written the applet that does the image processing and it saves the finished image on the users disc. It then uses the showDocument(url) method to pass the URL of the local file to a java script function on the html page.
    This is where the problem occurs. Firefox won't display that image and complains about a security error because the remote page is linking to a local file. Interestingly enough IE6 on windows has no issue displaying the generated image.
    I really have two questions.
    1)Is there a quick/dirty fix that just simply gets around the security barrier Firefox has?
    2)Is there some other, more elegant, way of getting an image from an applet to the webpage. It doesn't matter if it requires writing to disc or not.
    Thanks! Any suggestions out there will help me.

    "because(sic)" was supposed to be "became" ... anyway, in the API doco, when it says that something is "since 1.4", for example, it means from that point onward. So 1.5.x is good - but I wanted to warn you off v.1.3.x in case that was where you were running this.

  • Changes in security from 7 update 45 to 7 update 51 and problems with Java applet

    Hello,
    After the update (from 7 update 45) to version 7 update 51 we've gotten some problems with a Java Applet as it won't run.
    When changing security settings to "medium" it works, but it would not run under the default "high" setting. This lead me to update the manifest file as follows:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Trusted-Only: true
    Application-Name: MyApplet
    Permissions: all-permissions
    Caller-Allowable-Codebase: www.MySite.com
    In addition to this, I added the <param> tag in the HTML page.
    <applet name="MyApplet" code="MyApplet" archive="MyApplet.jar">
       <param name="permissions" value="all-permissions" />
    </applet>
    The applet is digitally signed with a certificated issued by Verisign.
    It now runs on my system. But I noticed that it also runs if I switch the security setting back to "high", which doesn't make any sense to me.
    I've tried another computer and to the same thing there. Would not run. I switched to "medium" and and the applet worked. Switched back to "high" and it still works.
    I've tried this in both Google Chorme and Internet Explorer 11.
    On a third computer it won't run at all, getting a different error message than on the other two, but still related to permissions/security.
    The console log message is:
            "liveconnect: Security Exception: JavaScript from http://MySite.comn/MyPage.html attempted to access a resource it has no rights to."
    Any ideas what I'm missing or what I need to change to get this beast to run everywhere.

    I tried changing the Caller-Allowable-Codebase to not include "www." and it started giving the the same error message as for the third machine in the test.
    So, I changed Caller-Allowable-Codebase to "*" which made it work on all machines.
    I don't quite understand why it acts differently on different machines, if it's ok with www.MySite.com on one of the the machines, it should be OK on all no?
    I don't see a problem with letting it be "*" but it would be nice to understand what's going on.

    That wasn't attention-grabbing enough apparantly. Let's try it again.

  • Java Control Panel wont open at all and any Java Applets crash web browsers

    Hello,
    I recently installed a fresh fully updated copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and I have not for the life of me been able to get Java working at all. Java version is the latest JRE 6U31. I only have Internet Explorer 9 installed but I doubt it is a browser issue since I cannot even open the Java control panel. I have tried using the 32 bit version of Java, and the 64 bit. Anytime I try to open the Java control panel with either 32 bit or 64 bit, I get an error message (click link below to view error message):
    http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h204/gobigjeff/Java%20Error/javaerror.png
    I can only bring up the Java Control Panel using the command “javaws –viewer” . Anytime I try to load a web page with a Java applet in either 64 bit or 32 bit, it freezes and crashes. I am running Internet Explorer 9 and have tried both the 32 bit and 64 bit browser versions. I saw Java’s recommendation to only use the 32 bit version so I have mainly been trying to get the 32 bit version working 1st, with no success. I have tried ALL of the following steps, and have done some exhaustive research on this problem. It seems others have had this issue as well, with no solution to be found:
    •     Uninstalled and reinstalled only Java 32 bit JRE 6u31 multiple times (Used Javara and reg cleaner to remove all old Java traces)
    •     Uninstalled and reinstalled only Java 64 bit JRE 6u31 (Used Javara and reg cleaner to remove all old Java traces)
    •     Uninstalled and reinstalled bit JRE 7 (Used Javara and reg cleaner to remove all old Java traces)
    •     Used SFC /scannow in safe mode to verify Windows files
    •     Ran spyware and virus scan with no issues detected
    •     Added all java processes to windows firewall
    I am out of solutions here. If anyone has had this problem with Java or knows what I need to do to fix the problem your advice would be greatly appreciated. I don’t think reinstalling windows is the solution because this is a fresh install.

    I figured it out. I changed the installation folder to C:/Java and it finally worked!
