Embedding multiple flash .swf

I am having trouble adding multiple .swf videos to my
webpage. When I toy with this code, I always end up having to click
to play the other .swf videos. Any help is appreciated.

  • Embedding Flash SWF Skin in External Site

    I posted this under the Flash forum as well. My Flash video
    displays correctly on my server, however, if I try embedding my
    Flash SWF file on an external site – just as you would with
    YouTube – the skin does not transfer. The video is the only
    thing that displays.
    I understand when using components that 2 SWF files are
    created when published – SO with that said, is there an HTML
    embedding technique to display both the video w/ the skin? If not,
    is this something that needs to be corrected within the Flash file.
    Any thoughts?

    I have this in front of the trace:
    myvars.onLoad = function(success){
    When I put in the full URL to the attachment on the Google page (i.e., something similar to "myvars.load("https://sites.google.com/a/..../home/department-sites/sales/variables.txt,");" - instead of just "myvars.load("variables.txt");", it doesn't work. So right now its set to just "variables.txt" and the swf file is in the same root location as the variables.txt file on the Google page. I also have a copy of the variables.txt file in the same local directly in which I am running the flash file for testing. So I think when I run it in debug mode, its referencing the variables.txt file in the local directory, rather than the one stored as an attachment on the Google page.
    That's what seems so weird...it runs locally in debug mode...but not when I embed it on the Google page. I can also get it to work if I explicity define the variables in the flash file, rather than rely on the external text file. That's the only time I can get it to work on the Google page.
    Thank you for your help!

  • How to place a Flash swf file with a movie FLV file embedded in DW

         My hair is getting shorter by the hour or maybe missing.  I have created a SWF file with Flash 8 that has an embedded FLV file that was created from a MP4 file.   The SWF file works perfectly in FLASH including my Flash nav buttons, and the movie with soundtrack and the buttons for control of volume and start stop.  Now I am ready to place it on the web using DW to make the html page.  What happens when I test the page on FireFox or IE is the background loads, the buttons load but do not work properly anymore but worse than that:  The slide show and the control buttons do not even show up.
         I am also having trouble defining my site locally.  I select new site and tell it where every thing is but no luck. All in the same directory, right now I have a image directory but I have not used them on the page as the only image is a jpg and flv file and they are embedded in the swf file.
         I know this is 2 different programs but the Flash files need to be placed in a HTML file to be uploaded, and I have to text them first.

  • Firefox Embedded Flash swf not shown in asynchronous desktop

    Hi all,
    in a jsp I embed a binary property of a content node that includes a flash .swf file. All that in an asynchronous desktop, using Firefox.
    I use the follwing code:
    "<embed scale="exactfit" quality="high" menu="false" width="600" height="400" hswLiveConnect="false" src="<%=myPropertyUrl%>">
    When the page is loaded by "normal" browser request, the flash animation inside the jsp renders as expected. After click on an url (<a> ....</a>) inside the same JSP the portlet content refreshes (via Ajax request), only the flash disappears. After F5 it's back agian.
    The problem does not exist with IE!
    How do i need to handle this for Firefox?
    Thanks for help.

    Firefox uses the object if there isn't a classid to specify an ActiveX control for IE.<br />
    You didn't specify such a classid (classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"), so there is actually no need for the embed in this case.<br />
    As jscher2000 posted above, an object tag only works in Firefox if there is a data attribute present (copy of the movie param) to specify the Flash file and a possible MIME type.
    <pre><nowiki><object style="width:420px;height:272px" data="http://static.issuu.com/webembed/viewers/style1/v2/IssuuReader.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" >
    <param name="movie" value="http://static.issuu.com/webembed/viewers/style1/v2/IssuuReader.swf" />
    <param name="flashvars" value="mode=mini&amp;backgroundColor=%23222222&amp;documentId=121102153057-a8027186d32d406698ae9cd6ce0305ed" />
    <param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"/>
    <param name="menu" value="false"/>
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent"/>

  • Play multiple flash animation

    Hi, i would like to randomly play multiple swf files one
    after one, like slideshow of swf files
    here is what i want:
    - load multiple external swf file from a main swf.
    - a swf play and when is finish the next one play, i mean the
    next one have to wait that the first one is finishing play before
    playing.
    - if its possible, preload the swf file, so the user do not
    have to wait that all swf file have to load, i mean loading the
    first swf file, play it and preload the next one during the first
    one playing.
    - do all this randomly
    the code i attach serve to play one external files, i didnt
    know how to play multiple one.
    im not sure if the adobe interface attach code correctly, so
    i pasted here:
    import flash.display.*;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    var rect:Shape = new Shape();
    rect.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF);
    rect.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, 500, 120);
    rect.graphics.endFill();
    addChild(rect);
    var ldr:Loader = new Loader();
    ldr.mask = rect;
    var url:String = "
    http://swffile.swf";
    var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
    ldr.load(urlReq);
    addChild(ldr);
    thanks

    You could add the swf's to the library, give them a class
    name and then reference them from the library in flash.
    If you use flex you can embed the swf's at compile time using
    [Embed(source='assets/scenes/home.swf')]
    public static var home:Class;
    and create an instance of the class when you would like to
    use it.
    var instance = new home();

  • Help with embedding XML / Flash Banner Rotator?!?

    Hey guys, please help me; I'm having some trouble embedding this flash/xml banner rotator into this page, I can see that the file has been uploaded, however when I try to place it into the page, it just doesn't work. I even get error reports from IE, the code was all place by dreamweaver.
    The first set of code below is the entire page, the second set is the part that isn't working for me (the part I'm too dumb to fix).
    The code that is highlighted in red is the code with the <embed> tag.

    problem here :
    Really, all of you thank you so much for your help, it is appreciated more than you know! Thank you!

    Hi
    All I am seeing is your actual page layout, no code.
    But as you say it is an xml file (swf), it is more than likely that you have placed the swf and xml files in incompatible places. So without seeing your code, all I can suggest is to check the file placement of all items.
    PZ
    Can see the code now, for some reason it was rendering the code, not displaying it until I refreshed the page.

  • Multiple flash galleries in catalyst

    similar version of a question I posted earlier...
    I'm using flashcatalyst and importing slideshowpro lightroom galleries (swf files that call xml files).  is there a way to have flash catalyst look not just in the root directory for an SWF's xml files?  I can't put multiple galleries in one catalyst file, because I can't seem to get it to look for XML files within directories.
    either that, or I'd take any solution toward the end of having multiple flash galleries in a single flash site.
    thanks,
    aemilia

    Chris, first of all, thank you so much for replying!  Thank you thank you.
    Yes, there is a slideshowpro.swf, and a params.xml and images.xml  it seems that slideshowpro.swf wants to look in the directory of the html file, not the relative path of the swf, for the xml files.  I had a long chat with slideshowpro support about this, and we tried changing the base param within the HTML file, but it didn't inherit itself all the way to the slideshow pro swf.  But I digress...
    I actually tried almost the same thing already, but not exactly.  Tell me if this make sense:
    I built the fancy swf in flash catalyst, and imported the swf in flash catalyst. (I didn't wait until flash builder).  Then, knowing what little I know about flash builder, I opened the FXP there, and imported the separate folders into the project structure in the left column (I added assets/images/gallery-headshots/slideshowpro.swf, assets/images/gallery-editorial/slideshowpro.swf).
    Then, I clicked on the swf in the state I was focusing on, and changed the "source" field in the right column to the *new* location of the swf within the file structure I imported.  I did this simply because I didn't know enough about flash builder to import and place an swf asset myself.  This didn't work, unfortunately.
    Does that make any sense?
    Thanks again,
    Aemilia

  • Horizontally centering flash .swf" and disallowing horizontal scroll??

    Is it possible to center a flash .swf file on a website, and then disable horizontal scrolling?
    I made my website in Flash Catalyst, and I made the width 1700px and the height 1200px. I made the width large because I wanted it to look good in the largest screen resolutions, but my biggest problem now that I've finished making the website is putting it up. Simply embedding it makes it scroll horizontally all the way to 1700px, which isn't good for those with small browsers.
    Originally, I was planning on making the flash file the background in CSS (using body {background: url(FILE.swf) no-repeat #000 top center}) but then I found out you can't put .swf's as backgrounds.
    Basically, I want to know if it's possible to center the .swf horizontally, and then disallow horizontal scrolling. I want to keep vertical scrolling,
    Any help appreciated!

    Is it possible to center a flash .swf file on a website, and then disable horizontal scrolling?
    Yes, but it introduces other problems. With scrolling disabled, you might not be able to see all the page. I DO NOT recommend what you are trying to do. Flash scaling would most likely give you better results.
    Background images if intended to cover a large area are typically very small images which are repeated to create a pattern. Using one large image will still never cover all the possible screen resolutions or page sizes... for example larger than 1700 or taller than 1200 pixels.
    Centering requires a set dimension, like 1700 so auto set margins would center it, but it still may not cover 100% as using a width of 100% would.
    That being said, turn off horizontal scroll and leave vert on with:
    overflow-y: auto !important;
    overflow-x: hidden !important
    then you'll need to use z-indexing to lay anything else over the top of you background .swf
    Here a sample page that should get you going... dimensions are smaller so you can see how it works... the principle is the same.

  • Swing and Flash SWF objects

    Is there a way to embed Flash files on a Swing application?
    What I want to do is grab locations of images through the java application and pass it to an SWF file to display an animation.
    If embedding flash in Swing isn't possible, what other options are there in Swing for animation?
    Thanks

    there is one more way to embed flash swf file in swings . ie thru JDIC .
    java desktop integration compnentsMy current favourite way is thru the DJNativeSwing project. I realised it provides a slightly better renderering of components than JDIC, especially for the embedded IExplorer on Windows platforms, and it also has some extra cool features that one can use out of the box, like mixing heavyweight and lightweight containers. And Swing borders even work great.

  •  Why would certain users not be able to open a mail to url from a Flash swf on my website?

     Why would certain users not be able to open a mail to url from a Flash swf on my website?

    1. Because they're using Android or iOS and can't see the Flash container.
    2. Because they have Flash Player, but NOT Shockwave, which works for Interactive content like games and links in Flash containers.
    3. ActiveX controls are blocking Flash content in IE.
    4. Any of about a dozen other things.
    As a web desginer since 2003, I can tell you that these days, it's a terrible idea to have Flash content in a website (outside of games that require it). Video should be HTML5. Navigation, content and other links should be HTML, CSS and/or Javascript ONLY, because placing them in a Flash container makes them invisible to literally half of your viewers or more, since SmartPhones can't and don't see Flash, and tablets don't either without special browsers, which may or may not work with embedded links.

  • Use of Multiple partition in multiple flash regions

    I have a Windows Embedded Compact 2013 device with NAND flash. I want to have multiple Flash file systems in different flash regions. How can I configure multiple files systems in different flash regions? How should the regions look like so that they can
    be mounted automatically. It works fine for one file system, but I am not able to mount a second file system in a different region automatically.

    I have changed my configuration. now I have two instances of my NAND driver and try to mount them, but the second Partition always failed to format with error 87 (invalid Parameter). Here is my Registry configuration:

  • Embedding fonts as SWF

    Hi all,
    I am working on a mobile actionsxcript project and am having trouble embedding some fonts. The fonts are embedded in SWF files as only a small subset is needed and I am trying to embed the SWF files in my AS build and then access the fonts via their linkage names.
    I am not having any luck but am not really sure of the exact approach here so if anyone can shed any light or provide a tutorial/example that would be great as I am about to start banging my head on stuff.
    I am embedding the font swf like this:
    [Embed(source="assets/newfonts/FontFile.swf", symbol="fontInstanceName")]
    public var FontBold:Class;
    I assume I need to construct an instance and cast it before I can use the font (maybe wrong about this) but am unsure of the details.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Turns out to be really (embarressingly) simple and I'm not sure how it took me so long to get working.
    Add a new font to the library in Flash.
    Give it a linkage name and set it to export for actionscript.
    Publish the SWF
    Embed the swf in the actionscript project using [Embed(source="assets/newfonts/FontLib.swf", symbol="TestFontBold")]public var TestFontBold:Class;
    Set the 'symbol' parameter in the embed tag to be the flash linkage name of the font.
    Create a TextFormat object
    Create a Font object - var newFont:Font = new TestFontBold();
    Set myTextFormat.font = TestFontBold.fontName;
    Apply the TextFormat as usual.
    No idea how I had so much trouble with this when it is so obvious and straighforward. Oh well, that's often the case (with me at least)
    Cheers

  • Accessing movie clip from flash swf file

    I have the situation where in flash i created a simple
    animated movie clip with few stop() commands on timeline. Movie
    clip consists of simple animatio played on roll over and on roll
    out which is controlled using actionscript. I loaded movie clip
    into flash using [embed] tag but actionscript code is stripped,
    there is no stop() action so movie clip loops continously. I guess
    that's normal behaviour for embedded flash swf files but i would
    like to know is there a way to still achieve that? Can i load swf
    some other way with its actionscript and then control movie clip
    from flex?

    You need the FLA's to open in Flash.
    You could download the free trial of a flash decompiler
    (www.sothink.com). The free trial won't give you actionscript, but
    it will give you all of the art in the swf.
