EMP data in first block when logged on with userid

Hi,
Let's say; I have a master/detail (EMP/DEPT) form (form A) and the master contains EMP data like surname, date of birth, telephone number and so on.
When I start up my main menu, an authorization screen wil be shown to enter the username and password. After the authorization I will navigate to form A.
I would like to have the functionality that when I logged on with my own userid my data will be automatically entered in the master-block of form A.
How can I implement this? Do you have any examples?

Sounds fairly basic. When_new_item_instance trigger needs to execute a query (probably using do_key(execute_query), and you need a default where clause equating user to a column of usernames which you need to have in your emp table.

Unable to create tickets from sattelite system when logged in with Arabic

Hi There,
We are unable to create suppurt message from the satellite system when logged in
with arabic language. A window is popping up with the message below.

We are able to create support messages when logged in with English
language from the setellite system.
We have arabic language installed in the satellite system.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply and I have been able to resolve the issue with the hint you gave.
We dont have Arabic language installed on solution manager, but in the RFC destination <SM_<SID>CLNT<XXX>_BACK> the logon language was empty, I maintained that with the default language "EN" and it worked.

Delivery date time format in when logged in German

Hi All,
I have a case statement for the 3 types of deliverydateformat: DeliveryDateTime , DeliveryYearWeek and DeliveryYearMonth.
the format for these 3 types are 'D', 'W' and 'M'.
I have separate processing for these 3 types in the case statement.
When logged in German, the formats are different from 'D' , 'W' and 'M'.. Hence my case statements are not executed.
Please let me know if there is some conversion routine for these DeliveryDateFormat.

Change date format in EP when introduce values with "/" as date separator

Hi experts,
We have ECC 6 EHP3 with Enterprise Portal 7 SP 18. We instal BP_ERP5ESS
1.31 SP 4.0, BP_ERP5COM 1.31 SP 4.0, BP_ERP5MSS 1.31 SP 4.0, SAP_ESS
603 SP 4.12 and SAPPCUI_GP 603 SP 4.1
We activate the Travel Management (FIN_TRAVEL_1) business function, so
we use WD ABAP for travel expenses.
The issue is when in the Portal, go to Travel and Expenses and create a
new travel request or a new expense report and introduce the values of
the date with "/" as separator. The system changes the date format, and
change the days for months and months for days, DD/MM/YYYY change to
MM/DD/YYYY. For example if we introduce 31/12/2009, the system change
to 12/31/2009 and gives an error.
If we introduce with "." as separator, 31.12.2009, it works fine, don´t change days for months, so it seems that is not a problem of language settings.
Any idea?

log in by the Super Super give the user name ...........and check the details..........
in there in the 1st ..view you can set the date formate..............

Data network locked down when usb tethering with a lot of request (i.e. 3 to 4 tab pages and IRC)

Hi, i am currently using the usb tethering on my ubuntu desktop(this also happened in win8 desktop) which the data network will be locked down when open 3 to 4 tab pages in 3-4 seconds or requesting large amount of data traffic (i.e. downloading movie)
This locked down will be recovered only after a few minutes (4 minutes at least) when there is no more request maked.
OR reboot the phone again.
This doesn't affect receiving calls, only the data network is locked down
I do see this is a software problem as i have asked for a exchange for phone, the same thing happened again.
Does anyone get the same problem as i experienced?
The firmware is v.114

based on your information, i believe there is not problem with the phone, since even second phone is doing same thing as first, what I can suggest is
>check with different phone if possible and see whether it does same, incase 'Yes" then its might be with the internet connection i believe, you can give a call to Internet Service Provider, stating the issue faced in 2 different phones
>if possible Refresh the Router and try to connect it again
>Last you can try to restore the phone once

DB- put blocking when database opened with DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED

Please excuse me if I am missing something obvious, but is there any reason why a DB->put would block just because a database file is opened with the DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED?
I am using Berkeley DB 5.1.19 and I have been having some cursors block so I have added the DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED flag to my database file opens.
With the flag on the first time I try and put a record it just blocks indefinitely. When I remove the flag the put goes through no problem.

I have been doing some testing on this and have found the following.
(1) I open the database with a DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED flag
(2) I create a cursor with the DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED flag and read the file
(3) I close the cursor with no problems (RC=0)
(4) I try a put operation and it blocks
(5) I run db_deadlock from the command line and the put returns DB_LOCK_DEADLOCK
If I change the cursor to be opened with DB_READ_COMMITTED I get the same situation.
If I comment out the DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED from the database open put does not block (as DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED is not honored for cursor if DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED is not specified for cursor).
If I remove the DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED or DB_READ_COMMITTED from the cursor the put also does not block.
From my reading the use of DB_READ_UNCOMMITTED should reduce the chance of a deadlock not guarantee a deadlock. Is this a bug or am I missing something.
BTW, the doco for cursor open says that DB_BULK is an option but there is no DB_BULK defined in db.h.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Trouble with Revel when logging in with Facebook

If you are having issues with revel crashing when you login to revel using facebook on an iOS device, try this to fix the problem:
1.       In your iOS Settings, select Facebook. Click on your name. Then click on Delete Account. (NOTE: This WILL NOT delete your Facebook account. It will only remove the Facebook account from your device. The next step will set Facebook back up on the device.)
(if you want to use facebook again, you may not want to select “Merge Facebook Info” but rather select “Remove Facebook Info” so you won't get duplicates)
2.       Go back to your iOS Settings and select Facebook. Enter your User Name and Password to log back in to Facebook from the OS level.
3.       Sign in to Revel with your Facebook ID

A new version of revel has been released, version 2.2.3. If you install this version, you will not need the workaround above.

Error U9KP7Q94 when logged in with the deleted user after its recreation...

How to get default screen for the deleted user when we recreate the same user with same name?
i have deleted the user for ex. 'XYZ' (from the catalog user group managemet) and when again i am trying to browse the obiee with the same user i.e. XYZ (after passing the authentication using some LDAP) then i am getting the error like 'Error U9KP7Q94'.
can anyone help me in this..

I don't really see your problem. Do you have any error message ?
You may have may be a security problem.
Have you see in the catalog manager if you have the right / grant for the user on the report.
You can log as administrator / go to the catalog manager / shared folder / catalog root / users /
- on your user / in the items properties, set the owner ship to the administrator
- go to the security icon of the directory user
- give the access to the administrator
and then you have access to the directory
To see the grant of each file, you must do the same manipulation (become the owner, change the security, ...)

SCVMM 2012, Conntect via conosle does not work when logged in with specified credentials

Hi all
I have a problem with the SCVMM 2012 console. When I start the console I select the "Specify credentials" option and then I enter my admin credentials. Afterward the console opens
and everything works except the "Connect via Console" function.
When I try to connect to a VM I get the following message:
Virtual Machine Manager lost the connection to the virtual machine for one of the following reasons: Another connection was established to the console of this machine. The virtual machine has been shut down or put into the saved state. The user credentials
provided do not have the necessary privilege to connect (0x0003, 0x0300)
It seems that the Virtual Machine Viewer runs not under the admin credentials which I enter at the beginning and therefore the console cannot connect.
Has someone the same issue ? Is it by design that the console connection does not work with specified credentials or is a sort of a bug or error ?

Being new to SCVMM, I've just come across this issue myself, though I came to a different (not necessarily better, but good enough for me) resolution.
I have a somewhat convoluted but not abnormal configuration where the SCVMM server lives in a separate untrusted forest to that which the Hyper-V Server hosts live.
As people have noted in this and other threads, the VirtualMachineViewer.exe process launches in the same security context with which you logged onto your pc. While the VmmAdminUI.exe process also runs in the same security context,
the network logon it issues makes use of the credentials provided at the SCVMM MMC's logon screen, which VirtualMachineViewer.exe does not.
I elected to use Credential Manager to resolve this issue.
In Credential Manager, I created a "Windows Credential" entry where the hostname matched the FQDN of the hostname that appears within SCVMM as the virtual host entry. Using an IP does not match if you've used an FQDN in the SCVMM
registration, and vice versa. If you used an IP for the host in SCVMM, then you need to supply that IP as the hostname in Credential Manager, and likewise if you used a FQDN.
This solution isn't perfect as it requires you to manage numerous Credential Manager entries (one per host), but that still appealed to me far more than one per guest. If I had a larger environment, I'd script the account configuration
given it only needs to happen once per host, rather than on an ongoing basis of once per guest as some of the above approaches would require.
I haven't tested the different combinations to verify the least permissions required. For the time being I've gone with the model of using a non-privileged domain user account (to avoid managing multiple identities and passwords)
which I added to the local Administrators group of each Hyper-V Server host. This stuck me as being a sound enough compromise between rigid security and ease-of-administration (given the per host arrangement in Credential Manager).
With the account correctly specified in Credential Manager, I'm able to move on past the 0x0003 error and successfully use the remote function.
If I was to point out an upside to this, it would be that this approach would allow me to remote Hyper-V servers in untrusted forests (including workgroups), which is something I couldn't do if the VirtualMachineViewer.exe process
did in fact use my SCVMM credentials alone. Ultimately, that's something you have to come to terms with yourself, though.

Software center dont show the package(not applications) on the client as installed when logging in with other User ID.

It is showing as Installed in software center with user ID through which it is actually installed but not from other User ID's.
Please send me suggestions or how we can resolve this issue.

Software center might not show it if there are multiple users logged in. It will only be shown to the
user that got the highest (lowest? Can't remember it) session id.

Cellular data being used even when at home with Wi Fi

I notice that sometimes (actually pretty often), my cellular data is being used even if I'm at home with Wi Fi available. At this rate, my monthly amount of gigabytes is getting used up pretty quickly. It's gotten to where I have to go into settings and turn off cellular data whenever I come home. Has anyone else had this problem?

You must be losing wifi sometimes. The iPad uses wifi, unless it's not available. Then it switches to 3/4G. Turning Off cellular is the best procedure.

The command who shows nothing when logged in with xdm

I use xdm to graphical og in my machine (locally). (I have just put my initlevel to 5 in /etc/inittab and uncommented the line corresponding to xdm). The who command does not show that I am logged in (it has no output). If I login directly to the console (without GUI), then the who command show that I am logged in. How can I fix this? I thinks this have something to do with the line
exec /usr/bin/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers -l $DISPLAY -h "" $USE
that is present in /etc/X11/xdm/Xstartup, but I am not sure. (I use the default xdm configuration).

Has anyone encountered issues with Data Execution Protection (DEP) when using windows with Muse?

A week without my Muse. Please HELP. I am trying to be Patient.
Each time I try to open my muse it is freezing and shutting down right away. I open the file and it just freezes. I get a window that pops up explaining DEP (I have tried to shut it off and it doesn't work). Has anyone else ever had this happen? I really want to get my Muse working again, its going on a week without. I have windows Vista, 32 bit. Since I did the recent updates its not working anymore. Can I roll back to an older version? Thank you.

So I found a fix to this myself. I found that others were having the same issue in Photoshop CS6 too. What I did was go to open the app, right click on the app icon, go to properties>compatibility>click the box for Compatibility Mode that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:: select your operating system (Mine was windows xp sp2). I also selected "Run as Administrator". So far it is working, I am upset that this was such a simple go around and I have been without my muse for over a month now.
