Empty Composition Still shows a random Image/Frame
I don't understand how this is still showing? How do I remove it? It's a last frame from a video isnt loaded into this file :S. I can't select it or find out how its loaded in.. Please Help!
Purge all of your memory and disk cash, Then close AE, Reboot, then let us know if that clears it up.

'flagged' to 'filters off' not working. still showing only flagged images.
Recent issue:
when I try to switch from 'flagged' to 'filters off', it is not working. The app is still showing only flagged images. I can't access my unflagged images in the gallery at all.
I have to exit the app completely to correct issue.
I'm using the most recent update of lightroom 5.5 from the CC.A couple of things to try:
1. Exit LR and then delete the LR 5 preferences file: Preference and other file locations in Lightroom 5. On Mac, you must then reboot.
2. In the Library Filter Bar, select Restore Default Presets:
3. If neither of those help, take a screen shot of the entire LR screen when you have Flagged selected, and again when you have Filters Off selected. Post these here. In the past, some others have experienced wierdnesses in the LR filter behavior, and a screen shot might give some more clues. -
Previously when I logged in to my INGdirect online bank account, the login window came up showing images and clickable hotspots. Recently, the login window changed to a text-only version. On two different computers running Firefox, the login comes up in the previous version, with images and clickable hotspots. I'm unaware of having done anything to change my settings either in Firefox or on the banking website. Because it seems to be localized on this computer, I've tried downloading latest version of Firefox, but got no change, login still comes up in text-only format.
Try clearing your browser cache.
Tools > Clear Recent History... - hit Details and make sure only Cache is selected, then select Everything and hit the Clear Now button. -
AE 12.1.068 Update-Random Red Frame Still Happens-but fixed in PPro v7.2

Updated AE today and still have the random red frame when rendering.....source file ProRes422. This appears to be fixed in Premiere v7.2 tho.
Anyone else still see this after update?The update for After Effects CC with the fix for the ProRes red frame issue has not been released yet.

I deleted the picture in iphoto, then emptied my iphoto trash, but the picture is still showing on my computer when i go into my trash under “all images” How do you delete pictures even when you empty the trash and they stay in the computer?
Wtih iPhoto 9 when the iPhoto Trash is emptied the files get moved to the Trash bin in the Dock as a second chance to change your mind. Look in the Dock's Trash bin.

I'm used to working with the timeline and don't often go into the actionscript side of things.
I've created a 60 second animation of an hourglass timer counting down, and next to it, is a card showing a word. I need this whole animation to play when you hit a 'start game' button and also I need the word on the card to be a random word. All of the words are saved as separate vector files for now.
What is the best way to manage this on the timeline, and what would be the code to make a random image appear?
The only discussions I've found on this are for memory games and they're over complex for what I need!I just thought I'd put the answer incase anyone else needs help with this.
In the end I added each image as an individual frame on the same layer within a movie clip and added a stop(); action to each frame.
I added this line of code to the key frame with the movieclip on the timeline:
this.MovieClipName.gotoAndPlay(Math.round(Math.random()* 4)); //change 4 to the number of frames you have in the movieclip

How do I clean up mail in my icloud? I have already deleted old mail (from all my e-mail accounts) on all devices, and emptied the junk & deleted files, but it still shows that I am at max on my icloud. What do I do to free up space? (photos & apps do not take up that much room). When I go to manage storage on any device & it will display how much room each program or app is using, it still shows that my e-mail is taking up the most room. Is there a way to actually log on to the icloud server to manage what it stored there? If so, how do I do it? Also, on a related subject, why does my mail not sync accross all devices? ie. when I delete an email on one device, why do I still see it on all my other devices? How can I change this?
I have an iphone5, ipad2, ipod 4th gen, ipod 3rd gen, all running on my same apple id - but I have a PC not a Mac home computer - is this part of the problem? Looking to upgrade to a Mac sometime this year...

Mail is backed up automatically. If you make backups automatically, open Mail application and then, open the Time Machine app (in /Applications/Utilities). You will access to the Time Machine interface, and you will be able to see all your mails of all the backups you have, and you will be able to restore them. It means that your mails are backed up onto the Time Capsule -
Although all photos in my libraries are rotated to the correct orientation, random pictures still show up in the wrong position when viewed on Apple TV.

Several of our iPhone users in the UK reported the problem this morning, and as the Apple fan in the office I've got the job of resolving the issue
The original Excel was an old .xls file, but I have saved it as a .xlsx and the problem still appears
I haven't spoken with our developer yet, but I assume he has created the Excel file using some programming tools rather that directly using Excel
In the meantime I have created a simply spreadsheet with 8 cells contain values
In the first 4 cells, I have formatted them using Currency, and have used the currencies USD, DEM, GBP and CHF
In the remaining cells I have formatted them using the Accounting option, using the same currencies
When I review the spreadsheet on the iPhone (or iPad), the first 4 remain the same yet the last four all show the £ symbol
I have now changed the Region Format of the iPhone to United States, and when viewing on the iPhone the bottom 4 values are now all showing the $ sign!
If I had created the spreadsheet I would have put the Currency code in a seperate cell and purely used a numeric format for the number, and there would be no issue. That might be the only solution
Yes, the Director has the full MS Excel app on his Windows 8 device, but I can't expect all of our clients to go and do the same, in business many of them will have the iPhone
We may have to change the way we produce the report because of Apple's failings here, and it's not the first time that we have had to change something because Apple devices can't display them properly

Camera roll empty but shows 6.1 gb. Restored to original settings after backing up. When I restored the backup camera roll still shows 6.1 gb and is still empty. I imagine that the backup contains some corruption

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities. I agree with your assessment that something is going on with that previous backup. If you restored from that backup and the issue continues, I would recommend restoring and Set up as new. Before you restore, make sure you Transfer content so that you can sync it back after setting up as new. The instructions on how to Transfer content and Set up as new are both listed in this article.

2. Transfer content
Before you erase your device, take a few minutes to transfer your content from your device to your computer to ensure that all your critical data is safe.

After erasing and setting up as a new device, your device is now in a factory configuration. Test to determine if erasing and setting up as a new device resolved the issue. Content on the device may have caused unexpected behavior.
If the issue is still present, you may want to contact Apple Support.
If the issue is now resolved, sync one type of content at a time back to the device. For example, if you had an issue playing music, add songs from iTunes and confirm they will play. If your contacts weren't loading successfully, add the contacts back. After each sync, test to see if the issue has returned.

Have file in Trash and can not empty trash . Showing 63 files and tried to shut down and restart and still will not empty.Anyone know what can be done?

if I extract my previews from lightroom, will they still show up in the catalog? I am trying to recover certain images. Can I just extract specific folders?
I also had ringtones from the 1001 Ringtones app that were lost after the iOS5 conversion.
I tried the the fix to uncheck the ringtones, sync and then re-check and sync, but that didn't work for me.
What did work was that I re-downloaded the file from the original e-mail where the app sent it to me, then I hit "add file to library", found the file and then my old ringtones re-appeared. However, they had a circle with an exclamation point next to them, and when I clicked on it, it said itunes could no longer file the location of the file. So, I followed the screen steps to tell it where they were originally saved, and then they synced just fine.

If I barrow an image from iPhoto, that is drag it to another file or the desktop it seems to half disappear. It still shows until I try to enlarge it then I get a triangle exclamation mark in the enlarged field, once I return to Photos or an Album it is there. However it can no longer be dragged into another file. How can I recover these images? Is there a better way to duplicate a image to locate in outside of iPhoto?
I never had this problem in previous versions of iPhoto.The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the link to the original file.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Without any more details I would first try updating my video card driver. Go directly to the card manufacturers website, otherwise you may get an old driver.

Trash still showing a size after emptying
I have just emptied the trash and notice that if I 'Get Info' it still shows a size of 34.93GB. Have tried secure empty and a restart but it still shows. Any ideas?
I suspect you have been trying to empty your Time Machine files. Not a good way to do it. Read the following.
